Hey, a message for Nigerian government. I've got a German power company interested in supplying 50.000 megawatts of electricity to Nigeria using high-tech cables across the Atlantic . I'm looking for someone to introduce me to Mr. president for this proposal . Anybody interested ?

Geometric power owned by Nnaji has been in business in Nigeria since early 2000. The company was doing Alaoji power plant at Aba. I read that European union gave the company a grant of over €250m to help actualize the power plant. Rumours , rumours ....

The crawling continues - less than 5000 Megawatts of electricity , 180million people , over 50yrs after independence, over 400billion Dollars earned from crude oil export , a hugely short-changed and pessimistic population, deep ethnic suspicions , all these are recipes for a perilous years ahead for Nigeria .

GE, Siemens, plus other potential big investors will definitely re-evaluate their interest in Nigeria's power sector . Seemed these companies had some confidence in Nnaji's ability and seriousness . He was a guy they could work with !

I heard Prof Nnaji is a man of principle . Such a person will have difficulty working in a Nigerian mafia-like political theatre . Besides , his ministry is the most complicated in Nigeria . A lot of vested interests. Better for him though .

In 2005 i was on board a Lufthansa Airbus 340-400 flight from Frankfurt am Main to Port-Harcourt . It was a smooth direct flight . If such flights are allowed in Enugu , millions of Umuigbo in the West and Asia would prefer Enugu than Lagos and Abuja . If not for business , personally i wouldn't like to be a guest to Lagos mosquitoes even for a night after spending some cool months in Europe . This is what Mr. Ekweremmadu and Mrs. Mmadueke should lobby Mr. President to influence European airlines to do. Lufthansa which had about 49% increase on it's Nigerian routes earning last year will love it , even if it means flying Frankfurt - Enugu-Accra. When current work at Enugu Airport finishes , those Umuigbo who call the shots in Abuja, should try make it possible . Its long overdue . How long does Nigeria want to punish Ndigbo because of a lost war?

Nigerian economy isn't run to create jobs for Nigerian graduates , rather billions stolen from the economy creates jobs for Swiss and British graduates when such money is given as loans to companies in these countries for research and jobs creation . Isn't that wonderful ?

I went to a Western University. Only those with the very top grades got admitted to my course then. There were more girls on the course than boys. Each person should get the chance he/she deserves.
As for the very few blacks on the course, I noticed that they were from stable families and all their dads were well-educated professionals.

The way some black women you meet in some offices here in the West behave themselves towards black men is sickening sometimes.

The westerners know that the best way to conquer and subjugate any people is to emasculate their men and put women in charge. That's what happened to blacks during slavery. It still blights AAs and Caribbeans today. Boys growing up without good male role models. So it goes on like that from generation to generation. Male child is very special in weak cultures , and Nigerian cultures are very weak.

Chino24 is an attention seeking, little minded neo-nazi wanna be! I'm not sure he can name the bordering towns to his hometown , much less have a good knowledge of towns in Igboland. Before you criticize others, try to learn about the people first . From all his rantings, I've not seen anything that suggest he knows or understands Enugu people . Enugu state have also many successful traders and businessmen . There are perhaps a dozen towns in Anambra state that have less millionaires than my hometown Akpugo. But, he doesn't know that. He still has that erroneous image of WAWA Ndigbo. As I once wrote , all the Igbo states have different strengths and weaknesses . We can only move mountains united ! Travel around Igboland and appreciate the uniqueness of each 'agbulu'. Ndigbo, ije awele k'anyi ga n'aga ooh!

Oil or no oil, the most important thing for development is knowledge . A state in Germany ( Baden -Württemberg ),in its advertisement in 1995 says " we have no oil, or huge mineral resources , but we have knowledge ". The state is the second richest state in the country. Any lesson for Nigeria from that advert? Yes, no matter the quantity of oil we have or discover , without having the knowledge of how to use the money earned from our mineral resources export to improve our human development, it does the masses no good having such minerals in our soil. So, the question is, how can Enugu state use it's resources ie, coal , agricultural produce, limestone , oil(?), for development ?

Well, well, I guess those village chiefs are trying to make it easier for umuimo to stop wasting their money on 'Executive Garden' girls, and Amajieke joints. A relative of mine was last year basically creamed-off in Mbaise by his inlaws - they even demaded for a bag of white cord stockfish!

Such roads are normally clearly described with appropriate signs which must be eligible to motorists. But, don't be surprised or shocked when "egunje" seeking Lagos traffic law enforcers ambush motorists and demand settlement over a violation of a non-existing traffic sign . How can such a beautiful, well planed campus be a den for armed cult gangs ? Agbani is a quiet and unassuming little palm-kernel town. Nnamani brought ESUT there because he was hoping to bring a noble learning culture devoid of a city's distractions to the students. As a lover of African music , i prefer it raw and original. From Salif Kaita of Mali, Youssou N'Dour of Senegal , Franko , Mbila Bell of Congo, Manu Dibango of Cameroon, to Osita Osadebe and Fela Kuti , all these musicians have two things in common - African and original! Apart from Asa, 9nice, Nneka and the Okoyes (Psquare), I'm sorry , i don't see any of the "Bumper to Bumper" ones displaying any of the formers musical attributes. That's why i like Congolese Soukous, from the Franko's 4-5 decades ago, to the present days of Fally Ipupa or General Defoe, they've remained original while preserving their creativity . While Lagbaja can fill a hall displaying his skills with a trumpet or saxophone like Miles Davis , can the same be said of Timaya? Meanwhile , Timaya and co are making money, but the quality of Nigerian music is dying in their hand....

All the "Bumper to Bumper" generation of Nigerian musicians are copy-cats. All their popular albums are full of fake copies of the great beats of Congolese Soukous music. Those beats from Kofi Olomide, Awilo Logomba, Werrason, and more recently the ones from the popular Toofan from Togo are indiscriminately copied by those Nigerian musicians. Where are you Femi and Seun Kuti, Lagbaja, Adewale Ayuba, Bright Chimezie, Tony Okororji, Majek, Mike Okri?
