After working my bottom off to send money to that damn economy, i feel better than an Ibori or a Balogun who steals Nigeria's money to make sure that Switzerland children have the best education and healthcare, while our own children in Nigeria are dying because their parent can't afford a hospital bill. Stolen Nigerian money in foreign banks never just lay low there,it works for the citizens and government where the stolen monies are.

Diaspora Nigerians remits billions of dollars to Nigeria every year, and all they get is being castigated as bitter folks? Certain things aren't adding up here people. Some diaspora Nigerians might not be happy with Nigeria, some due to personal reasons, but most people i know want the best for Nigeria. Just like China and India benefited tremendously from their diaspora, the future and strength of Nigeria's economy depends to a large extent on diaspora Nigerian expertise. Diaspora Nigerians are acquiring skills that might help get Nigeria out of its current socioeconomic nightmare.

Over 80% of new spare parts in Nigeria are fakes from China,while the used ones are mainly original parts from Europe and North America. Isn't the difference very clear? Another food for thought: those used parts aren't overused as Nigerians imagine....

Some parts of Anambra state are ecological nightmare. The vast low-lands prone to flooding, and landslides + indiscriminate buildings are all recipes for disasters of this nature. I hope that the state government takes the situation serious. Moreover, federal help is urgently needed in the state. Some houses are gradually being swallowed by 'mbuze' in some parts of the state. People there should imbibe the culture of planting trees that can hold the soil together. Such preventive measures were taking around some areas at Milken Hill Enugu during mid 80s.

It should be a question for Lagosians. Living in a City infested with over 25 billion mosquitoes + tens of millions of fat unassuming dirty rats is definitely not amusing . Lagos mosquitoes are also very intelligent . I remember hiding often under the dining table trying to sleep in early 90s at Aguda Surulere; the Eko mosquitoes would still find me. Enugu has always been blessed with great radio voices . Personally, the best radio crew in Enugu were those at the former ESBS 'Sunrise 96.1 FM'. Chuzzy Iboko (known as Mr C.), Mike Anene, Rosemary Azinge, Gboliwe Iwuobi, Ik Agu and co were the best Coal City radio crew ever. Anthony Okofuu and Barikomo Ador were equally a great duo at Radio Nigeria Enugu as well. On Igbo language programmes on the 2 stations , i will never forget ' Önu Ökwa' Linda Mmenakaya dishing her Özi ekene requests, Ichie Onwuagba Onwuagba, Nduka Obikwelu, Nath Obikpo, Okechukwu Okereke, Dumeh Nnamoko, Jevas Chukwuemezie, Chukwuma Ogbonna, Paddy Ekeh. Pete Edochie was presenting 'music of the masters' every Sunday for 2hrs on ABS 1 Enugu. Emmanuel Udokwu, Chinwetalu Agu and Patience Ozokwo were all doing plays and programmes for both radio stations .

I love akamu very much. I like it tick, mellowed with a tin of peak milk and a plate of hot fried plantain . Once while in Nigeria, i was having it for breakfast every two days . When i got back to my base i found i had added 5kg after just one month . After that experience i reduced the intake to only weekends when I'm in 9ja. On the flip side, taking akamu frequently can make a male pour 1ltr. of liquid into your girlfriend(s) inviting honey pot. No joke sha....

In 20 years , Anambra state will realize that crude oil is a curse in Nigeria . By then, more than half of the money earned from the oil would have been stolen by the state's elites . On the order hand, the state will need billions of dollars to fight landslides (mbuze) if it doesn't want more than half of its landmass swallowed in a few decades. Rosy years awaits Enugu landlords as well, when Anambra's stolen oil money starts pouring in . Personally I've got a business idea which i hope to implement in Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi in anticipation of free flowing Anambra's oil money . So, Gov. Obi and co, bring it on !

I trust BMW engineers , they will soon find a solution to the affected models. Their respective owners will be directed to bring their cars to BMW workshops for pimping . A Münchner is always special - Freude am fahren !

Mercedes - Benz came to Enugu in 1982 with a promise to transfer its know-how to young Nigeria school leavers . Initially business was good , the company (Anamco) was manufacturing and selling thousands of vehicles across the country annually, until alarm come blow. Now, Anamco have sacked hundreds from its workforce and threatening to close due to low patronage . Nigeria govts. prefers importing vehicles from India and South Korea than buying better ones from the Emene based company . I heard the last hope for Anamco is if MAN is still interested in taking over the company . The Augsburg based trucks/buses manufacturing giant is said to have shown interest in Anamco.

In Nigeria its often been like more oil, more trouble . Anambra state should work on how money ( mainly taxes ) earned from the crude oil will be used to build sustainable infrastructure , improve education , health and other necessary social projects . Otherwise , the state will end up seeing revenues from oil hijacked by few elites . With oil money and annual budgets of over $7 billion combined , Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom states are yet to show any difference in the way Nigeria manages or invests its oil money . Anambra should show us that crude oil discovery is not a curse in Nigeria . Obi's duty is historically cut out for him. Abia has failed to show a difference ; will Anambra be different ? Time shall tell ....
