Odenigbo Aroli: Exactly why I attacked you from the moment I saw you post. You have complexes, dude. Go heal yourself because it a disease. Riddles can also be displayed by men of cowardness who are scared to speak their mind.
I don't see your arguments as an attack on my person. All my writings about Ndigbo are always buttressed with historical facts. Igbo n'ile ka m bu! I don't base my opinions myopically like you for example. You may be shocked that i know your part of Igboland more than you. I don't insult my fellow Ndigbo here. I put the facts in front. Travel around Anigbo with open mind, appreciate others and what they've been able to achieve inspite of all the odds.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nightshift(m):
Do we really need another Berlin wall in Igboland? Hell no! I'm happy i've shown those folks suffering from Akonobi(an Nneni man who tried but failed in Enugu fighting Enugu people)syndrome to see the other side of the coin. I hope nobody will start comparing "Inyiya Agba Oku" from Akegbe Ugwu with a female masquerade from somewhere South of the Niger. Where the pictures at?
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nightshift(m): 6:22am On Dec 03, 2012
Odenigbo Aroli: I don't think these relatively new Akpugo is richer than my home town Umuoji. One of the richest man in the east is from my town and he is a member of my kindred. Say what you know. How well do you know Amichi,Osumenyi,Okija,Ihiala. All these towns I listed has numerious individuals with intimidating wealth. You can tell us about your town but do not make comparisons...You will lose!
Personally, the first thing that comes to my mind when one mentions Umuoji isn't about rich people, but "Egwu Nwanne Malu Nwanne ya"(led by onu okwa, Theresa Ofoje). This, to me is the best legacy to Ndigbo from that town. Those young girls helped in healing the wounds of the civil war from many traumatized Biafrans. When their first album was released in 1977, it almost became hit song of the decade in eastern radio stations and homes.

Odenigbo Aroli: I know you guys have lots of rich folks but Omanbala boys are in a class of their own....You simply cannot beat them...y'all be taking business tips from Omanbala guys. All other Igbo see Omanbala boys as a very different breed and they trully are. This is the first time I'm hearing of "Akpugo". I know Orlu ppl gats dough but I ain't know bout Akpugo. Its also a lie that most modern houses in Enugu city are owned by Enugu guys! You should not compare Omanbala boys with anybody...you know why ? Every single Omanbala guy have to be wealthy and that's our mindset mate....get the mulla or die chasing it! That's what it takes to be a Nwa Omanbala.. enugu guys don't have such consuming orientation and inspiration like we do! Some ppl wait for the money to walk up to them while some walks to the mulla and grab it with annoyance. Get it ?
You've written what you know. It seems you know about your area but not much about the bigger Igboland. Ask those who are in the know. Learn to respect others as well. Moreover, try to travel around Igboland, but if you're only local don't come here to display your disregard for others who might even be more fortunate than you. I'm not trying to change your mind-set, but to open your mind to possibilities other folks have. The small towns you named (combined)can't even match my "relatively new" town's population.

kingoflag: Im tired of replying you, you make no sense and all you seem to want to do is keep impressing it upon me that youre a SouthAfricanWine-Drinking-Liberal-Residing-In-Germany.... oh, and that its -7degrees wherever you are.

SMH

By the way, Why do you keep referring to Chief C.C Onoh (Bianca's Dad) as "Her"? Dont you think itd be wiser to perfect your "gender differentiation" before delving into foreign politics, cultures, and/or ideologies?
You can also make a mistake like i did in that gender mixup. You're quite an intolerant man. You also seem to drive some excitement in passing quick judgment on others.

Please give me specifics of what you want so that i can do some market survey for you. The weather here is very cold now. We have now -6 degrees. It snowed two days ago.

You are in Germany..thats cool. Well am just a federal civil servant, though I have some business concerns in Onitsha. Am presently using Toyota Corolla 2004 Model while my wife uses the higher version of it (you know women and high thirst). cheesy

I will give it a thought ( I mean the Benz). Likely we may have need and more resourses in the near future to accommodate that. Will have to tell my wife first so that we rub minds lol..you know nah.

Are you married?
Yes, i'm married. My wife is a civil servant, while i do importation to Nigeria. I import different German high-tech machines to Nigeria.

I prefer strong European make, i bought an Infiniti FX35(2007 model) in '08 in Florida. I wasn't happy with the ride. As an ardent BMW lover, it's hard for me to accept an American spec. I can only go for one due to €/$ exchange advantage. Though here, Germans have a great vehicle maintenance culture.

chino24: You know Anambra more than mehuh? Nwanne jili ya nwayoo .. cheesy

As much as I know you have a good knowledge of Anambra that does not make you to know my house more than me (jokes). I have only lived in about 4-5 Nigerian state: in this order: Abuja, Bonny, PH and now Awka, I have also visited other states but never I was staying in PH when Michelling was still working when I went there around 2010 on a visit it was already packed up.
Michelin packed up due to electricity costs and Nigerian corruption culture. They made many umuigbo millionaires, especially some Nnewi people. My family was lucky, we had distributionship at Eastern Bulkcem Rumorumeni Port-Harcourt( Eagle cement). We were able to divert to our Gboko & PH connections when Michelin went bankrupt.

Afterwards the first private university (Madonna University) in Nigeria established in Anambra state was built by Father Ede an Enugu state man.

Nwanne I di kwa too much oo.. grin grin
I know Anambra State more than you. I can mimic Njikoka dialect more than an Abagana man. My very good friend is from Enugu-Agidi. I grew up in Aba, schooled in Enugu and have successful business relatives at Onitsha Ado n'ide. Charlie Nnewi(Silas works Rd.) was the first Michelin Tires Ambassador in Onitsha, was a family friend. He was receiving 5 tires truck load(a week) from Michelin Co. Port-Harcourt in the 80s/early 90s. My family was actively involved @ Silas works Rd. No Igboman on Nairaland know Igboland more than me. I mean the towns and differences in cultures and dialects. Onye ka i bu?
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nightshift(m): 11:10pm On Nov 30, 2012
Chino, i've got extended family members married to Nnewi and Unubi(remember Egedege) women, but i can't accept your biased notion that Enugu people have no successful businessmen and women. Most of the new houses in Enugu are owned by Enugu new money guys - politicians, business people, and Enugu in diaspora. Which town control more money in Enugu state than Akpugo people? Non. Any Anambra man can boost of money, but not to an Akpugo man. Who be them?(as my Gambia friend would ask). Ozalla, Amuri, Agbani, Amechi Awknanaw have rich people as well

Hahahahahha

Where is Akpugo?

You should be asking me if my town in Anambra has more millionaires than your entire state and not the other way round nwanne.. cheesy grin
OK! Name your hometown. I'm sure you don't know where Akpugo is. Ask Joe Nwankwu, FGN Okoye, Arthur Eze, they once owned Orient Bank majority shares with an Akpugo man. Or ask Eddy Onyeze(Dumdum Umuoji). Who ownes Madonna Uni at Okija? Who was the first Igbo IG of Nigeria police? Alo Aluminium? Nneji electrical at Aba? Apart from Nnewi and Awka Etiti, no Anambra State town has more millionaires than Akpugo in Enugu State. We produced 2 former military governors and partially control Alaba Electronic market. Alo aluminium is building a 5 billion Naira aluminium coils manufacturing co. @ Emene Enugu. In 1985,then governor Ike Nwachukwu opened an Akpugo man owned hotel @ Aba. Not forgetting Nwobodo Rangers. Akpugo akwulugo!!

Ojukwu's property? Bianca's family own a big chunk of Enugu city lands. Where my brother rented (a duplex ) in 1986 @GRA Enugu(the entire street) belong to Bianca's family. Her father owned a brewery at 9th mile Ngwo( later bought by Nigeria breweries). She's from a very very rich family!!
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Nightshift(m): 10:05pm On Nov 30, 2012
Chino, what's the name of your home town? I would like to compare it with mine - Akpugo in Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State. When Enugu fell to federal troops, Biafra capital was moved to other towns in Igboland including Umuahia. Of course, Ojukwu had some prejudice against WAWA Ndigbo but later married one - Bianca Onoh. Achebe, Azikiwe, etc found peace and tranquillity in present Enugu State. Do you think those prominent Ndigbo were fools? Chino, is your hometown in Anambra State more developed, does it have more millionaires than my hometown in Enugu State? Once more, where are you from?

The fact is that there are lots of hells in Nigeria who will always have problem with anything positive about Ikemba. I can't change that, but my duty is to put things i know about the family in perspective. All the haters here can hardly comprehend the dynamics of an Ikemba.

@Kingoflag, you really seem conservative in your argument. That you have problem with Ojukwu/Bianca marriage means that you prefer a more conservative marriage setup. Some people in your culture will no doubt have no problem with such.

kingoflag: Why would you add words to my original post, then put it up as if I originally made the post? When did I ever say anything about conservatism or liberalism?

Besides, my take on an action is what makes you decide that Im conservative and youre liberal? First, it was assuming my culture, now its on to assuming my political leanings or social ideology. What the hell has this discussion got to do with "the beauty of democracy".

Honestly, you sound like you just came off the boat and are just eager to use these new words you just learned.
Sorry, but i quickly corrected it. I'm currently enjoying a bottle of a nice South African red wine in cold Germany(-7degrees). Do conservatives like red wine?
PoliticsRe: Court Reads Ojukwu's Will, Bianca Gets Lion Share by Nightshift(m): 8:45pm On Nov 30, 2012
kingoflag: Yeah, in YOUR society and YOUR Culture! Fortunately, I also share cultures with Larry King and I can blatantly tell you that in the Marital Department (in the eyes of public opinion) Larry King is a failure. So what are you trying to sell me?

I do not care either way that Ojukwu and Bianca ended up together; they were both adults, thus they knew what they were doing. However, I think it is perverted, sick and selfish to decide that the one woman you want also happens to be your god daughter (and child of your friend) whom you were older than by more than 30yrs. I do not care how much you revere Ojukwu, I think that action was sick. Before you Justify Ojukwu's actions with respect to courting Bianca, Google the name "WOODY ALLEN" and see what comes up. His case is eerily similar to Ojukwu's --- Larry King is not a good example.

You are making a mistake thinking I have a problem with the age difference. No, I dont. Anyone can find love in any circumstance. Love transcends a lot of things including age. But, sometimes you gotta let your morals play the lead role in your decisions, and marrying your God-daughter or Step-Daughter-- no matter how you want to spin it-- shows that you lack (and have no respect for) certain simple and very important principles that normal everyday people in modern society are supposed to have.
As a conservative, you are entitled to your opinion and world views; and as a liberal, i'm entitled to my views as wells. We're from different aisle. Isn't that the beauty of democracy?
PoliticsRe: Court Reads Ojukwu's Will, Bianca Gets Lion Share by Nightshift(m): 8:39pm On Nov 30, 2012
Being in secondary school in Enugu when Bianca Onoh came to limelight, having friends who worked for her brother GB and having lived in one of Chief Onoh's houses at GRA Enugu, makes it impossible for me to accept any lies against Onoh family. Bianca was born in a rich and hardworking family. She loved Ojukwu with all her life. Fertig!!

PoliticsRe: Court Reads Ojukwu's Will, Bianca Gets Lion Share by Nightshift(m):
kingoflag: What "love"? Love that included you marrying your (Best) Friend's daughter, 30yrs your junior and whom youre allegedly her god father? That doesnt sound sick to you? You marry someone whom you held as a baby .... who was less than 7 days old.... when you were in your 30s?

Love that gets you disowned by your father?

Love that made even Bianca herself say she regretted the manner in which she ended up with Ojukwu and that shed never advice anyone to take the same path?

Love indeed.
Such reasoning is only possible in a weak culture like ours. Do you know how many years between Talk Show host Larry King and his current wife? We have to get over unnecessary conservative values. Besides, Onoh later accepted his daughter's wish. Bianca's mother supported her from the beginning.
