No wonder @LB became so confident because he knows the damage he has done. Funny I'm just seeing this thread 4d first time tonite, but it was issues like this that made me to start commenting on NL, because of the falsehood they were peddling and doing it with much confidence.

Personally this year I've read the OT once and the NT at the least 3 times once using the amplified version. I've started all over again and hope to finish the OT once b4 d year ends and the NT as many times as possible. All I can say is the scriptures are sweet more than anything to me. Goodluck

@gombs why don't just read the scriptures, one Abraham only paid tithe once, while he was still Abram, he did not pay it from his own possession, Isaac in Gen 26 was so richly blessed by God, but never paid tithe, Jacob actually gave God conditions for him to pay tithe, but there is no place in the scriptures where it was recorded he fulfilled this vow. Pls study my broad study

@bidam I know u will that Paul was primarily responsible for gentiles receiving salvation, but a careful study of Paul's epistles will show that Paul never taught the early gentile xtians the law, they did not know about circumcision or tithing, Paul only started talking about the law when some Jewish xtians came to gentile church and started teaching the law, that's what the book of galatians is about.
2. tithe where never taught in NT, not by Jesus Christ nor the apostles.
Finally do u know that the law was not perfect that's why the law was not given directly by God nor was it inspired by Holy Spirit, but was rather ordain by Angels.

That being said I wish I could just answer ur question, but it will a lot of teaching over 10 series to understand what ur asking. But let me say this God has never change, he has always been the same with the same desire for man, but man's response to what God is what has changed. From the time God created man to fellowship by the Spirit, man decided to use the flesh, sense knowledge. In Moses time God wanted direct communication, but the people refused and asked Moses to represent them. So the image man had about God in the OT was not a perfect representation of God, but what they thought God to be. That's why Christ is explanation of all things! you want to know who God is look at Christ, He is the perfect representation of God. Let me give an example, throughout the OT you'll never see where they referred to God has Father, when Jesus came he reveal God to us has our Father.
Do you know that the law was not God's perfect will for man, that why at the mount Moses received the law from an Angel and not directly from God.
As for Job, thats very simple, in chapter one its clearly stated that satan and not God was responsible for Job's misfortune and Job called it upon himself as previously stated on this thread.

Ok let do this. The bible was written in dispensations that why Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to study to show himself approved rightly dividing the word of truth. Let me start with ur OP on Peter. 1Pe 1:1 KJV Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. Although other version may render the vast differently but let use the word strangers use by Peter here. You see until Christ came only the Jews were believe to know God, but Jesus gave them a command in Matt 28:19-20 to preach to all creatures. But the Apostle and early xtians continued to preached only to Jews. In fact the first book written in the NT was by James the lord's brother who was head of the church in Jerusalem and he writes Jas 1:1 KJV James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. Notice he says to the twelve tribes meaning the Jews only, showing the had problem accepting the gentiles, u also see similar thing in display in Acts 11, with the church accusing Peter of going to the gentiles, this was many years after the death of Christ.
This continued until Paul showed up, studied and knew God's mind for the gentiles (Gal 1&2). Now back to Peter, after his acquaintance with Paul, when he wanted to write his epistle he still had the mentality of the Jews so he called the gentiles strangers just like the issue in Antioch in Gal 2. So the gentile Church did not like this and even Paul would have confronted Peter again on his use of the word strangers in his epistle, hence he took correction when he was writing is second epistle
2Pe 1:1 KJV Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Notice the word "like precious faith with us". Sorry its long but that's just the simple truth and by the way James had written his epistle before meeting Paul.

Now to ur question why is it always after the event has taking place? simply because then u can have required factors to search and also there will confirmation because the phenomenon is new. Now for ur request about using the code to predict the future, first I'm not a Jew so dats kind of disqualify me from using it. But what I can tell u is this even the Jews doing it now will maintain that it cannot predict the future, but from what I know about God, He has always reveal is mystery to some people that will not want them to come to the public. I'm sure that there are a few Jews who are vast with this knowledge and are using them and have passed it from generation to generation and will never come public. God has always operated like this dats why even among xtians, its only those who genuinely and are eager to learn have some outstanding revelations of God's word.

We are the creators of our own destiny and the sooner we all realise that the better. As for gays, they have been around since recorded history, and it's biological just like some men are born with female organs and females with male organs. You mentioned natural disasters like its a new thing or they are getting worse. Again you are wrong, natural disasters have been happening throughout all of recorded history and pre history. There have been ice ages, floods, tornados, hurricanes, meteorite strikes, volcano eruptions, earthquakes happening for millions of years. This is a dynamic planet made up of a thin moving crust on top of molten rock, with an even thinner atmosphere spinning at 1000mph on its axis, orbiting a star at 10000mph. Natural disasters will always happen. At least now we can understand what causes them and through science, predict and protect ourselves from them.

mantraa: Actually, the world is getting better, there is less wars in the world then ever, no major nations are at war with each other, people are living longer because of the advance of science and understanding about germs and diseases. It is religions that is holding back progress. In countries with the most religion you will find the most intolerance, death rates, violence etc. In modern countries with the most atheists you will find the most peace and unity. Google it if you don't believe me.

Just think about the quality of life and how many major nations were at war fifty years ago compared to now (google it), then compare that to 100 years ago when the whole of Europe was at war. Then compare that to 200 years ago when we were in the horrific Middle Ages and Africans were being exported like cattle to work as slaves. Now compare that to 500 years ago when Mayans were cutting out the hearts of living sacrifices and Africa was full of thousands of different tribes mostly at war with each other. If you go back further it gets worse with the brutal Roman Empire, Greek empire, and biblical Old Testament accounts of mass racial genocide, infanticide, rape and slaughter. Back then, they had to build massive walls around cities and fortresses just to try to keep safe! Can you Imagine if you were living in Jericho when god's favourite people surrounded it with the divine intention of killing every man, woman, child, and baby inside the city with swords and cutlasses?

Slavery as I said earlier was a norm in those days, that's why God said they may buy, but not their brethren, but allow them go free, if u read further down, showing it was not what was fully sanction by God. And pls the Psalms 2 u quoted has nothing to do with slavery.
