cypherz: Please can anyone tell me
1) how Bolt or Uber vets their partners and how much its costs?
2) How Uber/Bolt receive their 20% cut from cash trips paid to partners. if by vet, you mean inspection of vehicles, its #2,000. "Google inspection centres + bolt or uber Lagos " to give you the nearest preferred location . |

I'm happy you didn't go. What kind of stupid request is that. Customer service my foot, If she needs protection, why can't she drag her lazy self to go n buy. There's nothing wrong in helping people if you assess the situation esp. If d rider is an invalid or physically challenged But this scenario is totally not it. Bolt or not. Even if that's the last trip available, I will never go n buy such kind. Is she mad or what? Can she tell a regular Yellow Lagos cab guy that kind of rubbish talk.? She should keep her stupid tip to herself. tol8u: Actually, she say make I park the car inside eko hotel, go outside buy condom come back - Shebi if she talk that one, I for consider- she say make I waka go ni ooo- and I hope y’all know the closes supermarket to eko hotel is on the other side of Adetokunbo Ademola |

yoruba women, it's easy for them to open legs and got pregnant but difficult to take care of their kids. Wickedness!! stop stereotyping. Cos you have data, you can just put up whatever comes up to your mind. In all countries of the world, there are family issues, in united states, social services take ownership of the children if they feel the mother can't take care of them or she constitutes a risk. Its clearly she is depressed or manifesting psychotic episodes. @ least, she was bold enough to be pregnant n deliver it, what about the thousands of ladies from your self righteous region that abort babies cos dy are afraid of the trado- cultural label. Self righteous lot. |

mrvitalis: I just laugh at people like u ..... There are two type of business men in nigeria The Yoruba's ...they like formal business with nice office ,attend seminars and talk shows answer CEO buy every year post lose
Andela guy just sacked lost of staff told people months back that business was not sustainable
Jumia ,konga ,jobberman ,are all under this level ...just name but never make profit
Then there is the Igbo n Hausa man ,they are after one thing and one thing alone ....thats profit nothing more ...they don't care about name n fine building
What I'm saying most IT companies are not profitable ....Igbo's in IT prefer to design apps n sale ,and there is no name on that
The crypto currency industry in nigeria is maned by mostly Igbo's ....but we just don't like to show off
Don't deserved Any dummy can buy and sell. It doesn't take much creative energy. Buy @ dis price, and sell @ a margin. A single individual can sell 500 cartons of goods but a single person can't produce 500 cartons of goods. The manufacturing/ creative sectors are the most important . |

XGhost: NEVER EVER park on those two zebra crossings at MM2, even if there's traffic and that's the only free slot, it's free for a reason... if they see you they'll come for you... NEVER EVER stop anywhere along airport road. MMIA, MM2 or GAT, NEVER. NEVER EVER wait for your rider at the pick up point, if rider isn't out when you get there, rollout and keep rolling till you confirm the rider is out and ready to go, MMIA, MM2 or GAT. At MMIA Only pick up at arrival pickup point, do not pick up at departure o... You'll be fine.
Only pick up riders at the designated arrival pickup points and make it fast, you'll be fine. OR Rider meets you at the car car park, quite unnecessary though, I've never picked up at the car park.
Sometime last year, I got a request one night from MMIA, was surprised cos I wasn't within the airport premises I was driving along airport near Beesam. Called rider in my very English speaking font... Nice sounding chic says meet me at departure, I say departure, not arrival? She says yes I say could you please come to arrival pickup, we are not allowed to pick riders at departure. She says come, you can pick me at departure I say nahh, I can't do that She says I said you can, you don't have a problem I said are you sure Babe said, do I sound like I'm not sure? This bit scattered my head, I thought oh Ogun protect me but I must see this babe... Anything wey wan happen make e happen...I'm a sucker for a confident woman Na so I blow reach there, my eyes are darting about like a bush rat's... Called here again, she says drive up, you'll see me standing with a policeman I said ok, but I no end call o, left it on so I can hear any background chatter, nothing. Rolled up and picked her... Cool chic, turns out she be uber staff, we chatted all the way to ogudu, that day I learned that uber was in talks with Edo state. Tipped 1k at the end of the ride, card trip.
Basically follow the rules and you'll be fine, 98% of riders won't want to meet you at the car park, but it's not a problem. Follow the rules Thanks.Boss. This is a real walk through. |

You mentioned if the rider is not providing parking space, you mean on that road, you cant wait for rider. n b waiting for like 5mins. Pls if I'm rite, is Macaulay, the road you will burst into by your left if you are passing along ( the front or the back) Tejuoso market. |

tojahh: Therefore, we are happy to be able to keep our promise to ensure we always offer you the best earnings in the city with a 10% Price Increase and a 5% Commissions increased starting tomorrow.
Along with the change in the Fare Price and Commissions,
The Bolt and Lite category will be collapsed into one, maintaining the name “Lite” but with the new price.
Who else received this from Bolt today? Starting tomorrow.... 20% will take charge. nothing spectacular about the increase, the real increase is around 3.5% of ur earnings after deductions. So for every #1,000 , you get around #30-35 on top |

Do the towing vans also work @ night? |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 7:45pm On Sep 30, 2019 |
Seniors, So I just took bus transport from ikeja to the airport to see things myself.
I got there, i saw the dreaded towing van guys trying to throw an iron rod into the car wheels of a chap, n d towing van racing towards him. I didn't wait to see d end.
I met another set challenging a man parked where the airport taxis are, dey almost towed him. Reason: only registered airport taxis are allowed to park where he parked.
I approached one of them n told him I was going to start uber n how does d airport thing work.
He told me uber n taxify are banned from working in the airport bla bla bla n dey are d only ones authorised to do biz carry riders n that anyone DT picks a rider will b towed
I took whatever he said with a pinch of salt.
So seniors, How do you drop a rider @ d airport without infringement of rules or play to the towing guys hand.
Are you to drop the rider in the car park or what?
Basically, I need a walk- through of the process like the Dos n Don't @ d airport.
Thanks.

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Abuja, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 7:04pm On Sep 30, 2019 |
galaxy2020: Am thinking of buying a car for UBER, for rental or hire purchase. I reside in KUBWA. You want to buy a car for the business. The connotation here for ' rental' or ' hire purchase' implies you are not going to drive it urself. Forget about the ' hire purchase' deal .as long as you are not the driver. Moreover, hire purchase will burn your hands in e hailing. If the driver works for like 3 months using the car and somehow he fails to deliver the said weekly again, you would have no choice than to withdraw the vehicle. Lets take a scenario: Toyota corrola 03/05/06- 2.0m 12 weeks @ 30k- 360,000 He fails to honour agreement, you withdraw the vehicle, for the next two weeks , you will b looking for another person to take the car. If you want to cash out, you can't sell the car for 2m again cos its no more tokunbo. Did you make a profit or a gain. As per rentals, there are som pple who have a fleet of Camry (big daddy) and rental is btwn 22-25k. So are you willingly to wait that long to recoup your investment. Even rental @ 25k weekly, it would take 80 weeks to recoup your initial investment. And mark my words, there is no driver that can deliver 30 weeks straight without default. Cos of unforeseen contingencies- market situation, health of driver, car breakdown etc. My advice: As long as you are not driving it, find another biz to invest your money. |

Buynowautos: No need to worry I use a 2005 vehicle. Most ppl go for lite because of the cost of fare and this request can come to you in you are within reach. However if a rider wants a fresher vehicle 05 upward and make that request the request automatically comes to you if you are within reach. bro. Thanks. So you mean, if I'm closer to rider n d rider picks 'lite' I will still get d rider regardless of my being categorized under 'bolt' |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 5:21am On Sep 30, 2019 |
izzou: I don't think that stuff works. The closest to the rider gets the request
I used an 07 model, and I have done 11 trips in a day. my man izzou, dishing it out always. Thanks boss. I was worried cos some of d jjcs in d training were just spinning all kind of stories about not getting riders like lite. I said let me com here n let d elders do deir thing. Thanks. |
