Why would :the brother refuse fetching water in the first place, if not for anything he should have done it out of respect for his brother.

You disrespect your brothers wife you have disrespected your bro ,at least thats how we were taught.

Lots of wayward teenagers nowadays anyway.

We're four men from my parents, no girl. But we've never fought each other for once. It starts with you, your handling of your kids. The younger one, can't talk back to the elderly, rather the issue should be reported to you, and you most be seen to be fair to both parties.

The day my last brother, got provoked by the third, the last one being tall and big, angrily wanted to fight the third, and my Mum got the call, on getting back, she started flogging the last one, for attempt to fight his big brother, instead of reporting him. They were both in the university as at that point

My Mum has never talk back to my Mum, and hardly, will my Dad shout on her. I've seen my Dad quarrel with mine Mum twice in 35 years. They don't have friends outside themselves.

I gbadun that woman jare

If its nowadays university students/children they would have opened a nairaland thread about how their mum is 'harassing' them.

The kind of generation that is being raised nowadays is getting me scared lots of undisciplined children, even so called undergraduates. Dont want to be accountable to anybody.

What kind of nonsense is this.

Sebi she has cried on tv what else do you guys want, she said something, she came out to clarify ( which I dont deem necessary) now she has cried and apologize and you guys are hell bent on making this escalate further.

As far as I am concerned its only her husband she owes an apology for the statement taken out of context and she has done so on national TV.

That's right !
It's embarrassing!
Yeah its embarassing, I posted on the initial thread that she shouldn't have said it on national TV, there are opinions you that should never come out of your mouth on social media or TV it should stay right there in the mind where you conceived it, she shouldn't have even mentioned her husband to start with but then the reactions and this her counter reaction is unnecessary if you ask me.

She has said it she has said it shikena all these will make it worse,if she wants to clarify anything she should do that with her husband and apologize to him for the statement for anything people can infer from it.

This is the 2nd time a comment of the 'Your view' women will receive social media backlash, last time it was Tope.

Small pikin everywhere grin grin grin grin from the first comment to the last...

What u just explained exist virtually in all women, forget whether u are in a relationship now or married. Women are like Television, they may have different manufacturers but they are wired the same way. Either u buy flat screen or orobo tv, whether u use ur TV with ordinary antenna or cable tv they will all show u something, some u will like and some na to just manage... That's just a tip of the ice berg. I laugh in roman numeral hahahahah this children will not kill someone.

Have u ever heard of a saying that, a woman will offend u but u will accept the blame plus ending up to apologizing to her. That's women trickery for u and every woman is born with her own form of trickery.

Example, The lady u love does something wrong but didn't want to apologize, then it causes a heated argument and the woman hits u first(be it a slap or punch) but she immediately starts to cry, and saying "u see what u made me do now, u made me hit u" while she continue to sob. . Abeg Bros, what will u do?? You'll definitely hug her and start to pacify her like a baby saying sorry dear, sorry i made u hit me.

You are talking about the only human being that had a one on one talk with the Devil himself and convinced man to eat the forbidden fruit... someone that single handedly humbled SAMSON wey dey kill lion with bare hands. someone that made Bill Clinton lied on national tv and still came bak to eat his words. The people that made a president mumu himself and to talk about oza room on national tv.

Guys one very good advice, have it at the back of ur mind that the lady u date today either for 1 day or 100 years, will never exhibit her full potential/behavior until she pack enter ur house as wife. If all men could discover the entire behavior of their wives before marriage, there can never be anything called divorce. Hence, u that is forming sharp and hard guy today, saying ur girl is gentle and quiet, and that u have a total control of her and u are 100% sure that she can never misbehave, i have one bad news for u... YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET!!!

Just know this, women are carved from our crooked rib, if u try to straighten them, them go break and if try to bend them the more, them go scatter. Hence, na to just manage them like that and accept them with their faults as no one is perfect. But if them try to destroy ur life, abeg u know what to do...

I agree northerners live each day as it comes, they are a content set of peeps what I am not sure is if it has to do with their religion or culture considering that there seems to be a fusion of culture and religion over there .

Even muslims are also taking time to marry here in the south, it seems theres a sort of standard we think must be met before you can get married in the south.

A maiguard with his little salary will go home and marry a wife and they will be content with what they have for now till they move to the next level.

You are saying the church should talk about it, is it the church that the list of requirement for solemnization itself is a headache? Lets even start from there.

Coolers for this and that groups(no longer takeaway packs)
Packs of 5 alive lots of unnecesary stuff IMO. Lots of young people cant even afford all these they just want to be joined quietly and move on.

The church is even making marriage more burdensome for young peeps as far as I am concerned and this translates to high rate of fornication too.

Family › Re: Settling Down Next Year, But I Don’t Plan On Living Under The Same Roof. by NoToPile: 1:31pm On Nov 21, 2018
stupidity:
Please y’all pardon my moniker. As your input will be greatly appreciated

I and my fiancé been together for four years now. Sure there’s ups and down but as usual, we get to settle it within 24hours and get back to as it were.

We already plan on making it happen mid next year.

But the issue I’m facing right now is “I’m not sure I can live 247 under the same roof with a woman! Not just her but women in general. Sure I want to get married and have kids.

I hate headaches, I hate nagging from women. I do all my possible best to make everyone around me happy and smiling I pay my/our bills. I don’t default on responsibilities. But as you all know, women are bound to come up with unnecessary dramas. Have experienced it from her whereby I’m forced to distance myself for a while

Also I have an anger issue I’m trying to curb for years now, gradually it’s working good for me, this has resulted in me hitting her few times. Seriously I hate to see this happen before and after marriage.

After all this experience I’m here thinking and wondering if I can comfortably live under the same roof 24/7 with a woman. Like I said, I sure want to get married and have kids.

The plan is to have her move into my house. I already have a house of my own and a car, which I want to give her too and the kids once they start coming. While I move to another state and get a rented apartment for myself. I’ll visit on weekends. Sometimes stay weeks or months. I don’t work for anyone as I have people working for me. So there will be enough time to visit her and the kids and spend weeks or even months with them. Of course that’s when the kids start coming.

Has anyone done this before? Does it make sense?

Please don’t feel offended by this post, I’m not shying away from responsibilities, I stated my reasons for this mindset up there.
Incidentally, a married man was telling me this sometimes back, just wants to stay away from home for a while, maybe like 2 days off in a week or something not like either of them cheat or she nags everytime (me I believe women must talk sha). He Just wants to have some me time once in a while away from women and children wahala and I was like grin grin

If you ask me the so called 'women wahala' is part of what makes the marriage sweet oo, you got to tolerate everything. Have a misunderstanding makeup etc and the cycle continues.

As for your anger issues please and please solve it before you marry ooo.

Just asking because I am assuming the reason (at least one of them) a woman would call cops on her husband is physical abuse

But you gotto admit a lot of Nigerian men cant cope with such an environment where they know 'You do anyhow I call the police'and thats the reason a lot of them always complaining about the rules over there.

Nawa oo

Never knew olaniyi means a bad thing in Igbo.

She should simply explain to him what that spelling signifies in their dialect and ask it shouldnt be the one everybody will call him, it may just be among the long list of names not his first name thats all

She doesn't need the 'over the dead body stance' not necessary at all

Besides I believe the pronunciation is quite different from the igbo one, there are also other variations of ola the husband can choose from not necessarily olaniyi.

As far as I am concerned for couple who understand each other, this shouldnt be an issue at all.

This is quite shameful.

Here we blame every little thing on patriarchy but see how women are abusing little privileges they get in a society that is designed against "patriarchy"

For many women, their greatest undoing will be lack of capacity to be accountable to good reasoning.
Abusing privileges?
Designed against patriarchy?

And so?

The fact that the officials wasted about 20minutes on a non issue is even getting me vexed, does a kiss validate or invalidate the marriage ceremony or what.

Now they are dragging the church inside this, infact some churches do NOT kiss after solemnization, does that invalidate the marriage.

Is it by force to kiss publicly, the couple have a right to say they do not want to kiss. She has a right to say its forbidden in her church and that right should be respected simple.

Silly people everywhere.

Modified.

Now that I have even watched the video I am still vexing, is it constitutional that you must hug or kiss after the registry wedding.
Its like that woman in black has something personal against the couple. I like the way the bride didn't make a fuss sha.

How is it a problem that she doesn't want to hug or kiss.

All Nigerians love is money. They can kill their own family for money. It's all over Nigerian news. That 19 year old man who killed a little boy, his objective was money.

That is why they're angry at the OP because he values more than money from his friend. Just look at how all the responses are about money. His friend took dear things from him that cost money and he didn't mind but look at how everybody is telling him that he's now after the friends money. Was the friend not after his money and now he's gotten what he wanted the ingrate refuses to just say hi properly.

Nigerian society is demented. Everything is about money. Nigerians called women who.ores but Linda Ikeji is acceptable because of her money. Dangote is an illiterate and they castigate their presidents illiteracy but it is acceptable because one is a billionaire. Lebanese use Nigerians like Shiiit and they don't care since the Lebanese have money. Then they run to the UK where the pounds are the law so they worship white people.
As much as I would love you to be wrong, sadly you are right.
