It's a dubious character.

I would advise you to cut of from the deal.

Family › Re: My Mum Is Unconsolable One Month After by NoToPile: 12:20pm On Aug 15, 2023
The loss of a child is something I will never wish upon my enemy.

I lost my 22 year old niece in college of medicine last January, First born, I have not gotten over it. This is a girl I carried in my arms as a baby and watched her grow, it was too traumatic for me as even as a big Aunty. I kept on reading her last chat to me, Aunty Notopile how are you and the children.

My cousin her dad wept like a baby, The mum just froze in shock silent with her BP shooting up. I have not really talked deep with my cousin about the matter, it's just too painful.

Anytime I read about medical students she comes straight to my memory.

I still can't imagine how her parents will still be feeling one year later if I am still feeling this way. They are learning to live with the loss

Merely writing about this is traumatizing to me.

Just know that your mum will never forget h even if she tries to, the day she sees her age ate or so she will remember. 1 month is too soon for her to move on, let her cry it out with time she will learn to live with it.

My prayers are with you all. Only God can console her.

LocalStandard1:
Hello everyone! I find it very interesting and curious why when ever it comes to decency, morality, societal virtues, purity etc one hardly hear or see women talk about such characters.
Even in public it seems the fight and push for decency and morality have almost exclusively been left to the men and even boys to correct and set straight. Even older women no longer correct and chastise such degeneracy.

Does it mean so-called modern women are bankrupt or purged of such characters and virtues? Does it mean only men have some shame, self-restraint and fear of God? Then why are Churches mostly dominated and occupied by women?

I am interested in this topic.

It is majority of women that find nothing wrong with such a small child dressed and even posed like this and yes her mother or Aunt put her to it.
https://www.nairaland.com/7802139/see-dressing-4-years-old#125089444
Women talk about it too.

Older women have been insulted on the matter and we are in the generation of nobody can talk to me. So most have kept their opinion to themselves and reserve their training for their daughters only.

Even in church I dey carry my eye Comot, I just know if I join ushering they will hate me.
Education › Re: Ogun Female Poly Students Asked To Wear Pants, Bra To School by NoToPile: 11:45am On Aug 15, 2023
I don't know who is training a lot of girls these days, zero decency. Zero dressing etiquette.

When we were growing up, you don't even wear ordinary bra under clothes especially light clothes, you wear a vest or long shimi, some wear tights before they wear skirts it's only under Jeans you can wear ordinary pant because it's thick enough.

The training we received is that the frame of your pant should not show on the skirt.

If you wear light material trouser you wear a black pant that covers the whole bum, not those rope like stuff.

There are places breeze must not blow your body.

Imagine the nonsense now that you have to be told to wear pant and bra, radarada.

Agbara - Badagry is what is bad now.

You guys forget some of us live around that axis and ply that route to mile 2.

Agbara to mile 2 is now a straight journey.

The road expansion stoped around mechanic/church bustop, the normal 4 lanes continue down to agbara which is still in good condition.
What is remaining is Agbara to Badagry, some parts between Agbara to Badagry have been done also.
TV/Movies › Re: Jagun Jagun: Femi Adebayo's Movie Gets Tongues Wagging by NoToPile: 6:43am On Aug 15, 2023
So I watched it, very solid movie.

Why people are comparing it to anikulapo it what I don't get. This one hmis a lot more like an action epic and anikulapo is not action, both are in a class of their own.

It wasn't really predictable too. Nobody knew agemo was the daughter that was not his daughter, nobody new fathia balogun donated her womb.

At least fighting blood and all these things looked real, Hakeen the special effects guy outdid himself on this movie, he tried Gan.

And the use of the Language, kiss oh my it was muaah, the proverbs and all, Yoruba students will appreciate it better.

Only one flaw, some mud houses used Zinc though they were already brown and not the particular house used for any scene, but when doing an aeriel view of those villages it was a bit noticeable.

One major lesson though

Absolute power corrupts absolutely

The bar is being raised high in epic movie production, I have watched about 4 good Yoruba epics.

One thing all these young chaps that I've been seeing on NL front page, for their academic performance all have in common; th ey all attended a very good school.

Money may not buy knowledge, but it sure enhances knowledge definitely.
You are very observant, That had been my take home from all these show off of results , parents with small children should try and send their wards to quality secondary schools, if you need to save from age 2 for the children do it.

Most of these schools are pricey for the common man but it's better to give the children quality abeg. There are quality schools in these country, na money kill am. There still some average priced good ones though like maybe 300- 400k per term but how many people can afford that?

Anyway once the foundation is solid even if they go to a govt university they will be tops.

The first thing i do is tell single ladies i am married. Most of them just say 'ok' and act like i never told them.
they will be watching to see if i still want to ask them out. Bitch, i am not interested in cheating on my wife!

It doesnt even turn them off knowing that you are married, and when you tell them you love and respect your wife and have never cheated on her, they get more interested. It is like they dont meet many responsible men out there, and when they see the few ones, they want to have a taste or what?
God will continue to help me to resist. The hardest ones are the ones with big yansh but so far God has been helping me to resist still.. and i shall continue to succeed and no strange woman will come between me and my wife by God's grace. AMEN
I smiled while reading this especially the last paragraph

Amen to your prayer.

One question though, is it that these ladies just start throwing themselves or how?

There was a reason why biology economics and geography or literature was compulsory for all students then.

Too bad, if true. But he is still doing better than Tonto. At least, he lawfully married and spent years before divorcing, unlike Tonto who could not even date for long talk more of making it to marriage.

My comment is not a judgement on who between him and Tonto has the worst character. My comment is that his case is not as shameful or ridiculous as that of Tonto. I say this because one commenter above is already trying to use this Churchill's rumoured case to exonerate Tonto.
If all these allegations are true how is he doing better than Tonto and how is his case not more shameful and ridiculous?

Is not that they lowered their standard. The standard is more or less the same. Check past exam questions, roughly the same. The key difference is exam malpractice. Brother, E CHOKE. Private schools killed wassce exam. It is now effectively a foregone conclusion that a student, whether they have read or not, will pass because of exam malpractice. Before the commencement of the examination, the students already have the questions and the answers in their phones. Phones they will enter the exam hall with. Brother, e choke. This is the primary reason why they pass. Exam malpractice.

The only serious exam in Nigeria is Jamb. Jamb has its problems (especially with technical glitches) but it is much better than the others. Even though they have reduced the number of questions they ask, and have improved their grading/scoring system with the CBT format, their question standard is roughly the same and the level of malpractice is reduced to the minimum. May God help us.
You can say the bolded again but there are still schools with zero malpractice and their students do well.

See Nigerians advising the OP the collect the govt job and ghost it or settle head teacher or put someone to teach for him while still running the private one, can you imagine the nonsense later we will be shouting govt govt govt. Mtchew.

OP if it's Lagos state govt I will advise you to take the govt job their teacher are treated decently and payment is by grade level I and most importantly their salary enters on time and there are other benefits- Pension, health insurance.

In this Lagos if you want to practice with your education degree and be a bit comfortable eh if you can't teach in the standardized private schools( the creme dela creme) hustle for Lasg teaching. Because you see all those private schools that abound they will frustrate your life.

I know some LASG teachers and they are fairly OK, with their own homes and cars they have access to loans and all. They might not be very rich but they live a decent life. These category are not the teachers we used to think of back then as poor.

There's this school of thought that the govt teachers do little work, honestly it's not so, they keep to all the rules down to school register, lesson plan and notes. The ones I know work hard.

Based on my experience auditing Federal ministries and agencies, I have come to realize that public administration is entirely different from running a private business. So, good CV is encouraging and comforting, it takes a lot of local intelligence, wit, courage, experience and total commitment to run an MDA successfully.

The FG is a very complex system that is run based on laws, rules, tight budget, regulations, bureaucracy, thousands of circulars, asslicking, corruption, horse trading etc. These are issues private business owners don’t usually face on a high scale. He will have to learn how to navigate the system from the more experienced civil servants who may mislead him for their own selfish interest. I wish him the best.
