Bakare is the next “president”. |
1. Tinubu is not waiting for Obi to make his choice first. It doesn’t have much significance. 2. As much as Tinubu “knows” politics, overwhelming situations do come once in a while in politics and that can always set some plans back. In this case the Muslim/Muslim ticket. He is afraid of the backlash and break of equity, yet it seems that’s the only leverage he has. And so therefore, a place holder has to come in so he will have enough time to come up with a better plan. 3. Obi’s place holder was necessary as talks with NNPP is still ongoing. 4. How can anyone expect The alliance between Labour and NNPP to be easy at this stage. Possible? yes. Easy? No. NNPP have already fielded candidates in all positions ready for heavy contest in the northwest and north east. Most of these candidates are heavyweights who decamped to NNPP. Should RMK abandon them for a VP or even a presidential candidate in Labor? That will be unfair and the height of betrayal. Joining labor now will slow down the chances of NNPP as most of the elections will be held the same day. 5. Obi has a large organic and growing following. With the way things are going, it has the chances of tripling the momentum and popularity before election. However, in his case, it’s more about Obi and less of his Labor party. Meaning that his followership won’t find it hard moving to other parties with him. 6. Best bet for Obi is to collapse his train into NNPP if RMK agrees to be his VP. My point is that given the situations listed above, the talks between Labor and NNPP is not supposed to be a walk in the park. Ego, patriotism, betrayals and superiority complex will be at play here. And so, the alliance shouldn’t be rushed until a suitable compromise is reached. |
Certain moves don’t need explanation. Okukpe is the only person Obi can trust to hold the position for him until talks with a northerner mature. It’s called a place holder. Okukpe will then step down for the northern Muslim to step in. Asiwaju did same too. But the danger there is that the place holder may decide not to step down for the later chosen candidate. Wahala. |
Are you saying there are no factory work that gets people dusty abroad? Just appreciate the Oyiboland and move on. Good luck bro. |
Mooh247:Bakare will someday be president of Nigeria. Though I’m not a fan, but this I have seen. I saw more of an interim president |
Sltp:He did well and he is still doing well. But it’s an insult to the Chinese to name him the Saviour of the Chinese. Ever heard of Deng Xiaoping? Deng is in the league of Singapores Lee Kuan yew and general Park of South Korea etc. |
joe54:I honestly can’t answer your question because I also need answers to this same question. Very sad development. |
crowned1:Sure. But very interesting observation in the Ukraine invasion by the Russians is that the Russians may not be as powerful and swift as they have been hyped over the years. Meaning that a war with the USA will be a walk in the park for the Americans. Just an observation. On the other side, China would have invaded Taiwan long ago if they thought it was going to be easy. Nobody wants to be demystified. |
Taiwan will feel serious heat if China invades them. But even the Chinese know that it’s far more riskier to do so. Unlike Ukraine, Taiwan since creation has built their lives with a strong resolve to fight back the Chinese someday. All the aspects of their lives has be tailored towards this goal. |
Most philanthropists hardly make good leaders. Okorocha is a typical example. |
Bola146:The only thing hunger is making Nigerian youths do is to engage in yahoo yahoo, kidnapping and ritual killings. Or are they not the same people campaigning for Atiku, Tinubu, Gov Bello and Kalu? Make we hear word abeggi. |
1. They hardly intermarry. Fulani take up pretty Hausa girls as third and fourth wives. And lately as concubines and sex slaves. While Hausa guys are not allowed to go near Fulani babes. Fulani babes are solely for the Fulani man. 2. The relationship between the two has deteriorated long ago, that’s if there was a relationship in the first place. It was a forced and manipulated relationship for self preservation of the Fulani. However, Hausa are being pushed to the wall so hard. 3. Fulani are hardly Muslim as they would want people to believe. They are animist and also believe more in their culture and self preservation than Islam. They most use Islam to dominate and take control of their host’s environment. After that, they revert back to what’s more important to them; their culture and self preservation. 4. Who are their leaders they don’t listen to? Miyetti Allah? Lol. Old and young are same. Same ideology, same orientation, same thought process. Every ethnic group in Nigeria has their unique wahala. But that of the Fulani currently is a national call for concern. They have to wake up before Nigerians, especially the Hausas wake up. |
Tunde Bakare |
Dozy36:Please go through my post you quoted very well. We are saying the same thing. |
An average Nigerian graduate is an illiterate and is not enlightened. How much more a Nigerian who didn’t go to school at all. Trouble and confusion mixed together. One of the major reasons Nigeria is underdeveloped is because of illiteracy. Illiteracy won’t help you innovate or make right decisions. Eg voting the right candidates in elections. Avoiding unnecessary crisis. Going to school doesn’t put food on the table but it goes a long way in helping one make very informed decisions and that in turn puts food on the table. By all legal means, go to school. |
backbencher:I laughed when I saw someone call you an illiterate for clearly pointing out why Shanghai is not that popular. It shows that most Nigerian youths may actually be worse than their old leaders. I’ve lived in Shanghai for sometime. I love the city and her people. I love the food, the skyline and her economic opportunities. But to a large extent, that’s where it ends. No true depths. No true culture and identity as almost everything is copied. From the dress pertain to the architecture. Everything is western. Kind of New York part 2. So what’s there to talk about when you can the Original; New York? As “artificial” as Singapore may be, it has better depth than Shanghai. At least, her structural and human development could make up for lack of cultural depth. Like you said, cultures drive development. And the more progressive the culture is, the higher the popularity. The South Korean, Japanese and most importantly the American are or were progressive and that made them popular. If the mass produced knockoffs and cheap goods coming from China were to reduce today, China would be history in a short time. Please be aware that I’m not a fan of New York. ![]() |
Two different people. Two different ideologies. Two different goals and target. One is ready to die for their religion. The other can never die for the same religion, but uses it as a shield and as ameans One is ready to kill for their God. The other kills for her people. One is an Islamic fundamentals. The other on” animist. Do the maths. |
I've seen these in my dreams several times. It was like a war but not a full scale war. The army could not handle it because it was a mass unified movement.https://www.nairaland.com/5597419/see-violent-revolution-nigeria#85295593 Dec 28 2019 |
shantti:No need to condemn anyone here. Peter was the one that left when his condition was not met. His condition being that Jude should get a smaller share of their proceeds since he doesn’t do “much”. Paul then gave his own condition that he gets the highest share since he is the one that writes and sings the song. From the look of things, Paul’s condition still stands. The trio gets an equal share or he gets the highest share. Paul was the selfless one here. |
Nigerian youths really need to do more to read meaning in simple stuffs. Clearly, the guy was advertising the magazine. This one na Little money endorsement. |
Misinformation! WhatsApp will stop working on apple phones that is not above iOS 9. Ordinary iPhone 5c that people have stopped using 3 years ago has iOS 11.4 updates. While iPhone 5s has up to iOS 11.6 updates. Then how much more iPhone 6 that has up to 12.6 updates. iPhone 6s/6s+ up can get up to iOS 14.8 updates. |
Most of the answers here show that most Nigerians are far disconnected with the current Nigerian situation. Preference to Toyota cars, high cost of shipping and the new tariff regime and of course the ever rising dollar will push this old car to 2m to 2.1m in a few months. It’s between 1.7m to 1.8m as we speak. |
Singapore was also plagued with all the mess bedeviling Nigeria now. Racial, ethnic and religious tensions. Matter of fact, theirs was worst as it had more to do with race. But a selfless leader Lee Kuan Yew of the Chinese stock came in and changed everything. He didn’t mind whose ox was gored. He was even more strict to his Chinese brothers in terms of crime. And so when he went after criminals of other races like Malays and Tamils, the whole country hailed him in unison. Singapore open cow grazing was more notorious in the 60s than what we have now in Nigeria. But Mr Yew woke up one morning after news that a herd of cows killed a doctor and gave the herders 3 months to start ranching. They thought he was joking until he started sharing cow meat to the less privileged. In the fourth month, there were no sights of cows in Singapore’s street till today as we speak. Their leader transformed Singapore with simple policies and methods. Quick and equal justice. If you like be his son, if you do anyhow, you must collect. But here, Nigerians, especially their leaders are yet to find out that the easiest way to ruin an organization or country is SELECTIVE justice as being currently practiced by Buhari. Lee Kuan Yew’s autobiography changed my perception of life. Every African leader should be mandated to read it before aspiring for any political office. “From third world to First”. |
EricSmallz:It’s same sir |
Brenn594:Mia was a professional IndecentStar. Not a psychotic self conceited fellow. So if you can get pass her porn videos and the occasional reminders that come with it, Mia comes off as an intelligent, focused young lady. And this she has proven so far. |
EricSmallz:You can add more to Africa, but certainly not the WHOLE world as you stated earlier. |
TOPCRUISE:That was the best bet for him because it was just a matter of time. If he relied on the country’s local troop, they would have blown his brains off by now. |
I saw a pastor become interim president because the Army could not handle the pressure of what is about to come. Whether na Bakare....me no know. |
Corrected |
meccuno:You only picked on one of the few points I made, whereas the answer to your question is in the entire statement I made. |
In one hand, it seems soothing to watch a top Nigerian official being subjected to inhuman treatment they usually give us here. But on the other hand, Indonesia should better have a good explanation to the sovereign state of Nigeria who is represented by the official. But then again, nobody will ever respect you if you don’t respect yourself. Nigeria must wake up to undertake the task for the day even though it’s almost night. |
