Very big mumu talk. Would that law also be applicable to your medical tourism and your children’s academic pursuits abroad? Very foolish set of human beings. |
Dollar is not your problem. Just industrialize and watch things fall in place. As simple as ABC. |
Laple0541:The easiest way for the young man to fail is to attach sentiments to this new business. He must allow credible football scouts to do their job. If it becomes an all white team for the club to succeed, so be it. I’m not sure he bought the club to showcase African talents in Denmark. |
Eriokanmi:Na you and so many people here go still come here to tell everyone how Okocha and Mikel were not able to utilize their opportunities by making money for retirement. And how they are harassing everyone for money to buy common panadol. Exactly the way most Nigerians abuse and mock retired footballers who eat from hand to mouth now. In any profession of the world, most especially football; luck takes you farther than talent. Luck 70%. Talent 30%. Given the uncertainty back home in Nigeria, the limited performance age, injuries… most of them usually grab the nearest opportunity they can to make some money for themselves and their families. Airyegbeni, Obafemi, Musa etc all did it and I’m sure they won’t regret it. Luck showed up and they grabbed it and ran with it. Unlike Ronaldinho and some European players who played for top clubs and got broke, their system still find a way to make them relevant. It doesn’t work like that in Nigeria. When everyone retires back home, it will be clear to you that medals don’t pay your children’s university tuition. Because the government have not even fulfilled the promises they made when you won medals in the 80s and 90s. We saw what became of Keshi and his mother. Most Nigerians condemning these guys can’t even afford to make a better choice or take half the risk these guys took in their various professions. Yet they are the first to tell accomplished individuals how they failed. Very laughable. If the majority of Nigerians practice the advice they are giving to Okocha and mikel, Nigeria would have been better than Dubai by now. Nigerians choose oil companies or civil service job over companies they will learn, grow and become big. Why? Is it not less work, more money and easy life they are looking for? But they are here condemning someone who is doing the same but even with a far bigger pay. |
A full grown man with big prick wakes up one morning, says he’s a woman and begins to compete against women… and the practice is allowed to fly for a long time is the biggest wonder of the century. The inequality and injustice against women, especially the ones in sports cannot be measured. |
Bigshots001:Very correct! Though if he continues with his attack on Obi’s person, voter’s sentiments may play a huge role in ousting him in the next election. |
baralatie:I have taken a look since 1999. Anambra people used to be the most UNenlightened voters in Nigeria. There was a huge political apathy there. Ngige opened their eyes when he exposed the mess godfathers had on Anambra. Obi came and sealed it up. Initially, obi had it rough because the incumbent house members were of the old brigade who were used to obasanjo kind of politics. Chop I chop. But he defeated them hands down. Since then, Anambra could be said to be the most enlightened voters in Nigeria today. Their politicians now try a bit to prove themselves. No more blood sucking godfathers! |
LagosEmir:I’m not a fan of soludo, but saying he’s gone because of LP majority is not fair to Anambra people and not good for our democracy. He will only be impeached if he commits an impeachable offense. If Anambra people don’t like him, they will vote him out in the next election. |
youngsahito:Not true. Given past events, it would have been worst if she was white. The outcries and insults are not half of what Lady Gaga, Kim k and even their beloved Tailor swift have received in the past. People are just being “moderate” with their insults on Tems because she’s black. They don’t want to be termed racists. |
On this particular policy, buhari is not slow or indecisive. It’s a well calculated plan to frustrate vote buyers, kidnappers and other criminals who require physical cash to carry out their criminal activities. If we can tell ourselves the truth, the policy has achieved most part of the aforementioned. The delay in relaxing the policy a little bit is because of extension of the gubernatorial elections. As soon as it’s done, the policy will be relaxed a bit. But believe me, cashless policy has come to stay. As for those blackmailing and mocking people for supporting the policy, you can continue. We all know the policy made a lot of difference in this past election. Only Inec was influenced. No party had enough cash to buy voters from polling units. And that left a lot of loopholes for winnable court cases. |
Obaaderemi2:You and I know they can’t! He still enjoys massive goodwill from the Muslim north. If he was on the ballot in the past election, he would have still won. No Nigerian leader has ever had it smooth despite an abysmal outing like buhari. This was highly enabled by people who hailed him or kept quiet during this 8 years just so he would hand over to them. |
worldbest101:It’s a Buhari policy carried out by the CBN. And so, until buhari gives the CBN the order to make a statement, CBN dare not. Emefiele has no single power over this cashless policy. Why are Nigerians pretending as if they don’t know? |
Ishilove:It’s a Buhari policy carried out by the CBN. And so, until buhari gives the CBN the order to make a statement, CBN dare not. Emefiele has no single power over this cashless policy. Why are Nigerians pretending as if they don’t know? |
Not really. Most people of Lagos just don’t want the idea of godfatherism and imposition again. And so, if Tinubu tries campaigning for sanwo aggressively, it will seem like that and backfire on Sanwo. Same reason Obi may not be at the forefront of GRV campaign. Highest he can do is just to show face once and allow GRV do the rest. Same with PDP’s Jandor. Lagos is too big to have puppets as governors. |
rxmusa:I don’t care if Emefiele is jailed. After all, most of us have been “wailing” about how incompetent the man is for the past 9 years. But on this, it’s the best monetary policy FG has made after bank reconsolidation. Besides, why are you guys crucifying only Emefele even when Mr president made a press statement that he was the one who gave the CBN order to carry out the policy? Whoever believes that the CBN would wake up one morning and make such policy on her own without an order from the president is lying to himself. |
wwwkaycom:For the past 8 years, people like you have been praising Buhari even with his abysmal outing and bad policies just because you thought his government didn’t favor a section of Nigerians and also because you thought he was going to hand over to your principal without due process. Only to turn around and begin to curse him out because you thought the cashless policy was going to work against your principal. The cashless policy was not well packaged, but it has achieved a lot so far. Kidnapping and armed robbery is at the lowest. Vote buying was drastically reduced. What’s wrong with that? How is it supposed to work against Tinubu? Was he planning to buy votes or kidnap people? Look, every patriotic Nigerian should support the cashless policy. We should fight more for factors that can make it succeed. Factors like efficient internet to power online, mobile and atm transactions. I left the developed world over 10 years ago. I left what I thought was a perfect cashless system. But what I’m hearing from families and friends makes it a child play to what they have now yet Nigeria is nothing near to what I saw in those countries 15 years ago. Haba! Everything must not be politics abeg. Nigeria must meet up. And sure, another election comes up 2027. But are you saying people who feel there was electoral fraud shouldn’t challenge the 2023 presidential election just because your preferred candidate won? Haba Are you aware that buhari challenged all the times he contested for election and he was encouraged to do that? Are you also aware Tinubu help reclaim several stolen mandates of some aspirants mostly in southwest? He was hailed for going to court. Why tell people to wait till 2027 to contest for another one instead of challenging the 2023 in court? The logic here is hypocritical, so biased and highly flawed! |
shantti:Nooo This is not about APC vs LP. Matter of fact, the major contender is PDP’s Chimaroke Nnamani; the suspected killer of Oyibo Chukwu. This is about Chimaroke vs the aggrieved people of Enugu East. |
Shutupthere:Please pay no attention to those trying to belittle anyone. God has shown many people of God this vision. We started talking about it as far back as 2015, but people mocked us here. I've seen these in my dreams several times. It was like a war but not a full scale war. The army could not handle it because it was a mass unified movement.Dec 28 2019 https://www.nairaland.com/5597419/see-violent-revolution-nigeria |
And please sir, slashing salaries without enacting it as a law is one of the most pretentious moves I’ve ever seen. Let’s not even talk about slashing salaries but going ahead to allocate billions for “feeding”, fuel, estacodes etc. You dey chop billions but turn around to tell some rascals in the senate not to chop millions? They will of course laugh at you. |
OKOATA:Certainly, some changes must be made. But hinging your hope on that is a disaster in waiting. Na still the same people go navigate am. Find someone with a record of practicing orderliness and equal justice. The rest will be history. |
BluntTheApostle:Dictators? As if we never had loads of them in the past. Ours were even more powerful than the people I mentioned earlier. Ours were in the mold of Suharto and Sukarno of Indonesia, Marcos of Philippine and Pol Pot of Cambodia who all shared boundaries Singapore and ruled during the times of the initial guys I mentioned earlier. They were colossal failures to themselves and their countries. My point is that though authoritarian rules expedite development but it has more to do with the political will to work for your people whether in a military regime or in a democracy. Nigerian leaders lack the political will to enact change and follow through a progressive policy to the end. They keep giving silly excuse of “how many people you wan jail?”. How many people can you even jail when you are as guilty or even more guilty than the person you want to jail. Look, Lee Kuan Yew didn’t change Singapore because he was a dictator. He did because he came with equal and quick justice and political will to execute fantastic policies. |
Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore did it “alone”. General Park of South Korea did it “alone’. Deng xiaoping of China did it. Paul kagame of Rwanda is doing it. In an environment of disorderliness, only one leader can change it. How? Live by a strict example. And apply quick and equal justice for those who don’t want to fall in line. Before you know it, the community will give you massive support because everyone actually wants a better environment. Nigeria was not half as disorderly, racist and corrupt as all these aforementioned countries before these individuals took over. This is not some 500 years history. These guys changed their countries right in front of us. |
Nuzo1:Everyone should endeavor to do the right thing this period. |
Hausagoat001:I don’t know the build up to that. But the election will most likely be rigged. But unlike before where it used to be difficult to prove it, the rigging this time will be clear and uprisings may start. |
Like I said before, there will be a short military intervention followed by an interim government. This interim government will be headed by a pastor. I didn’t see the face well, but im thinking it’s Pastor Tunde Bakare. Whoever it is, let’s God’s will be done. |
Na Chimaroke pattern be this. The guy doesn’t waste time to eliminate his political opponents. Why Nkanu people still adore him, I don’t know. I guess it’s fear. |
GWMI:Some people also loved buhari for 8years despite his abysmal outing but have started cursing and hating him few weeks to end of his tenure because of a single policy that can set Nigeria on a part of redemption. Who is more dangerous and more of a hypocrite? Just asking. |
Nairanation2:Did you also envisage a day would come that some other people who sang Buharis praise for 7.7years and made fun the same SE people because they were somehow excluded from major projects and appointments, would one day begin to insult buhari and counter his presidential directives? Time has finished telling everything. Most Nigerians are born hypocrites! |
If you guys want to call out Tinubu, please do. But don’t bring in Igbos or even Tinubus ethnicity to the stupid ego trip. |
FD is an outstanding young Nigerian. One of my preferred presidential candidates in the past election. |
Carmal90:In all the dreams I stated here, I never came as a prophet. I clearly state what I saw in my dreams. And I follow it up by stating that I may be wrong with timing. On that note, I apologize if the dream I had didn’t come true or hasn’t come through yet. I also wish to clearly state that the op never totally agreed with me based on timing and characters involved. My political views in real life sometimes are different from some of my dreams and so my dreams should not be seen to vilify a person/persons or to sell my own interests. It’s simply dreams I had which I had no control over and had no regrets I stated them. In addition, I never mix my dream life with my political views here. I only throw it in once in a while into one or two spiritual threads like this. I personally will vote my own candidate in the coming election. Whether he wins or not, I’m hoping God’s will, will be done. This is not a denial to my dreams but to clarify who said what and who didn’t. |
AtikuOkowa:All the 48 laws of power are very much relevant in this present day. Problem is that people apply them at the wrong times. That Mr Greene lumped all laws in one book doesn’t mean you must practice the whole laws at the same time. Some of the laws contradicts each other if practiced at the same time. But if you insist they are outdated, then provide the replacements. And when you do, you will still find out you have picked one of the laws again. The law Wike and all the people you mentioned would’ve used are still among the 48 laws. But they supposedly chose the wrong one for a particular situation. That being said, all the guys you mentioned haven’t lived out the use of “court attention at all cost”. The situation is still ongoing. In all, timing to use any of the laws is key. |
