amazon14:Oh okay, your problem isn't that a fulani photo is there any more, rather the problem is that it's in front?... You would have felt better if images from major tribes were placed befor the fulani image?... If I may ask, who even told you the herder picture is in front? Cos I'm very certain you dont have the latest passport.... Kaiii!.. I swear a lot of people need strong deliverance from the adverse psychological effects buhariphobia... ![]() |
bunmmy5:Oga what you are saying is pointless and is just driven by nonsense emotions. The Fulanis may not fall within the top 3, but they are a major tribe in Nigeria with a massive population which outnumbers many other minority tribes. Sticking to objectivity, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that image in the passport; that same passport also has Calabar / Efik cultural dancers, Bini bronze images etc. Meaningless emotions, politics and tribal prejudices is the only reason anyone would lose sleep over an image of herders (that has even existed in our currency for ages). Is there a Fulanisation agenda? Absolute YES! But this outcry over an image on a passport is plain STUPIDITY. Am I being paid by someone? Absolute YES! I'm being paid by my employer for the engineering work I do. I'm only replying to your comment (and others on this thread) out of shock at how the level of reasoning of Nigerians keep degenerating. |
amazon14:Whether you like it or not, Fulanis even if they may have origins from outside Nigeria at some point in history, the fact is that they've been a part of Nigeria for over 100 years; they've deeply intermarried with the northern tribes and right now, you can hardly differentiate an Hausa from a Fulani man (hence why many refer to both as Hausa-Fulani) No matter how you choose to hate them for their crimes, or no matter how you feel disgusted about their existence, you and I cannot change the fact that there are currently a lot of Fulani Nigerians, and they far outnumber a lot of minority tribes. ...and by the way, you implied above that the document should only have Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa images; why exactly do you not exhibit a similar level of disgust or disapproval over the presence of the Efik female dancers or the Benin Bronze artifact in the same passport? |
Religion6:When you become president, print a 1000 page passport which contains cultural inscriptions for every single tribe and dialect across the length and breadth of Nigeria. You will be hailed as a hero of unity! |
amazon14:www.nairaland.com/attachments/9810205_d80a7d05967f4d918beefc0161c8fc65_jpeg_jpegb93aafce2ca98a02c53a46460cd10666 www.nairaland.com/attachments/9810204_2413eb41d5a04d9d948fc17cc1f50504_jpeg_jpeg11fdd7f3c779e58d178a3c7f8f80d3ee I see an image of what looks like some Calabar female dancers and also what looks like a Bini image above. Going by your ill logic, when did the Efiks or Binis become major tribes in Nigeria to have their emblems inscribed in our passport? What exactly is the population of these tribes compared to the Fulanis that currently exist in over 10 states? |
WhoBeThisMan:Someone already posted several pages of the Nigerian passport on the first page. These images have always been there right from time; someone probably just got their first passport in 2019 July, opened a single page, saw what looked like cattle and instantly ran amok. |
Kaii... This is very disappointing coming from someone on the pulpit; rushing to speak before stopping to think. The very same passport has several pages representing different tribes and cultures across Nigeria. Yet someone shows the pastor a single page showing cattle and he jumps to speak Fulani?... Wow! that's shameful. ..And of course, the responses on this thread don't come as a surprise; ignorance is a terrible disease. |
I hate to hoin in these kind of 'bad belle' questions but I cant help but ask this one, why is it only FEMALE nollywood celebs that prosper? Or could it just be it's only ladies that flaunt their wealth? |
King44:Is there anyone in the green or red chamber representing anyone else but themselves? |
TheTourist: Npfn:She was a Rep member from 1999 till 2015, and a senator from 2015 - 2019. |
Hmmm... If the lady in the image is Senator Binta Marsi Garba, then this represents an interesting trend about northern Adamawa senators. Senator Binta Marsi Garba (Adamawa North, APC) 2015 - 2019 Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo (Adamawa North, PDP) 2019 - ? |
Agugbadin:Shariar is purely for the poor illiterates. |
dokiOloye:I swear, that's the first thing I noticed. Shariah is definitely for the poor. |
Too many sick Nigerians everywhere... How exactly did age of anyone get into this thread? |
NORSIYK:This Op is dumb as fvck! Fulanis have been part of Nigeria and have been cattle herders for donkey years. The Nigerian passport has always had different tribal representations showcasing different cultures and ways of life of different ethnicities. There is nothing wrong using the picture of a herder to represent the agricultural way of life of the Fulanis. There is no doubt a Fulanisation agenda, but citing this picture on the passport as an example like I said before is just silly. I guess this Op was just born today. |
Gbengais:But at the time, NOI was a part of the economic council which was headed by the VP; NOI reported directly to Atiku then. So he genuinely also shares the bragging rights. |
The response of Freeze wasn't just childish, but also unexpected and foolish. Once a celebrity, your business becomes public business. What's exactly is wrong with the girl announcing that she saw a heavily pregnant Tboss?.... Most especially when Tboss has been going around denying and even insulting people who had recently asked if she was pregnant. |
Tamasaba:He must own that ghost by fire by force ![]() |
Jabioro:Okay |
Jabioro:In that case, your 'I beta pass neighbour' already gives you access to electricity. Maybe people on this thread need to check their dictionaries to understand the meaning of the word 'access' |
989900:The matter tire me. Several people on this thread keep saying generator generator, and you begin to wonder whether people dont know the meaning of 'access'. |
Foolishmasses:How exactly is the research not accurate? The results given are real time live data, how could that be wrong? Access to electricity, not access to public electricity! |
BeeBeeOoh:Sharap there! What have you ever done for Nigeria with your frail muscles and nerves since you were born besides sitting like a cripple behind your keyboard and insulting others who have a history of doing things? Those people you accuse, it's their prerogative to decide when they speak and when they just get tired and remain quiet. Like I said before, you can call it hypocrisy only if they chose to stop you from speaking or marching out in protest; the last time I checked, they never discouraged anyone from speaking or protesting. You cannot sit in your house and dictate to others when they should or should not protest. Receive sense!! |
Racoon: BeeBeeOoh: SolexOlenin:People do get tired of going under the sun everyday to protest bad governance, only for things to keep getting worse. Some of those names mentioned above have been marching under the sun even before several fellows commenting and insulting them on this forum were born, yet you want them to keep marching as if they are the only living humans out of 200million Nigeria? Are the youths of Nigeria disabled or paralised or deaf or dumb or dead? Why cant you also go out and march? Or did those names mentioned up there ask or stop anyone from going out? #LazyNigerianYouths sitting behind phones and laptops waiting for octogenarian grandpas to do everything for them. |
lilfreezy:It's very easy to spot who the real idiots are; an example is a person who instantly concludes that a person who didn't resort to licking GEJ's balls in 2015 was automatically campaigning for Buhari. Another easy way to identify idiots is in the ease with which they label others, including elders idiots.. |
baliyubla:The woman has always been, and is still an intelligent woman. And no, she did not just figure anything out now, she spoke out against the incompetence of the last government, and she has always spoken out against same for this government from day one; she even had to contest against it in the last election. Anyway, let me not act like I don't know where you're coming from; if she hadn't led the 2014 BBOG protest for the govt to rescue innocent girls, I'm very sure she would have still been an intelligent woman in the eyes of some persons. |
Are these the sort or irrelevant things being discussed in the tribunal? |
Sometimes one just stops and wonders what the reaction of northerners would be if a southern president got to power and exhibits the kind of mindless nepotism of Buhari. |
IkpuMmadu:So after your silly attempt to insult your generation, the above nonsense is the so called intelligent explanation you can come up with?... That sniper penetrated her skull (like a real sniper bullet) and blasted her brain?... Smh! Abeg keep that your ikpu sense for your children... |
Dude is British, born and bred in England. That he even identifies himself as a Nigerian and that he knows some words in our anthem, that's enough. |
How exactly does insecticide placed on the head kill a person? This story sounds wieird. Meanwhile there're just too many dolts on the first page of this thread. |
GistNotice:But seriously, these cases of Nigerians running to their deaths in Malaysia all because of immigration police is a disturbing trend. Are we really sure these people actually make these jumps or could it be they were probably pushed to their deaths by the police?... Cos even people in more reasonable places like the UK or US don't get this daring when trying to evade immigration police, not even drug runners are this desperate to escape from police... Who jumps from a 6-storey building just for fear of ordinary deportation from Malaysia of all places? These stories get k-leg abeg! these people were murdered, and I wonder why no one is thinking in that line ![]() |
