pineed:First of all, there's no serious university abroad where it is difficult to obtain ones academic record; not even in Ghana or Cotonou. You say you speak from experience but that's your first baseless and pointless lie. I dare you to mention the name of the institution. Secondly, no one is asking Tinubu to go bring his academic records from CSU; its actually shameful if you didnt know this. Atiku's lawyers through a US court simply asked CSU (not Tinubu) to release Tinubu's academic records. Tinubu learnt about this and in fear and desperation, scrambled a team of lawyers to block CSU from releasing his records. How does this correlate with what you typed up there about a purported difficulty in obtaining academic records from foreign Unis? " Is this the brightest argument you could conjure? Lastly, no one asked you about your political affiliation, so telling everyone that you have no political affiliations was irrelevant, moreso when even a child can deduce your political affiliation from your 100% pro-apc/pro-tinubu posts on this forum... What exactly are you ashamed of? |
pineed:Nobody cares about Tinubu's gender; he's free to be whatever gender he wishes to identify as. What people are concerned and curious about is what he's so desperate to hide about his past. Why would someone so powerful and educated be running from pillar to post to bury something as flimsy as his university records? If you think that's not a red flag, then you're in a world of your own.
|
pineed:Not clear what Atiku is trying to do, and to be honest, that's irrelevant.... but what real patriotic Nigerians are concerned about is why Tinubu is so jittery about something as flimsy as his gender revelation. The big question is, what is Tinubu hiding? |
Nigeria and bigmanism! ... and the useless police force that acts more like thugs for hire! |
ganisucks:There is nothing wrong with the cartoon, and there's nothing wrong if it was an OBIDIENT that created it. Keeping the govt on its toes and criticising when it flops, that's what opposition politics is about. Cartoons like these are commonplace all over the world, except perhaps in places like North Korea. It did not start with OBIDIENTS, and it will not end with OBIDIENTS. APC did far worse, even delved into gory unprintable things when GEJ was in power. Wake up from your slumber boy!! |
These outbursts are actually strange coming from WS |
ImperialYoruba:Where is Okowa? |
agabusta:Like I said before, throwing out the entire petition one by one on flimsy excuses doesnt necessarily make it right. It was exactly as expected cos this is Nigeria where the 'Nigerian Factor' supersedes the rule of law. The 'Nigerian Factor' is the reason its impossible for courts to remove a sitting president, not necessarily cos the president got there legally. The Nigerian factor is the reason Tinubu and the APC camp has been totally unperturbed by all the petitions all these while; they know that they have the system 100% in their grasp. After all isn't it the same country where a senate president who didnt even contest primaries was declared the rightful senatorial candidate in the election? Make una enjoy una lawless country abeg! |
descarado:I'm not taking any offense, I'm just curious why you asked. |
descarado:Not sure I understand; how is what I said different? I only just spoke my genuine thoughts based on my analysis and understanding. |
descarado:Why do you ask?... I'm not in Nigeria at the moment. |
AsabaPropertyAg:Considering the barbaric Nigerian factor where the attractiveness of an appointment is measured by how much one can STEAL, Wike definitely wins this! Wike will have much more money at his disposal to steal. The FCT minister is almost like a state governor who handles a lot of money; the FCT budget is also quite substantial. The FCT minister also gets the privilege of taking huge bribes to either allocate choice lands to cronies, and also similar bribes to not demolish illegal structures of friends. Amaechi on the other hand wasn't exposed to much funds as a transport minister; all projects he handled were financed by Chinese loans in which a dime wasnt released to Nigerian officials by the Chinese. |
Yes! Politicians may have joined the protests to gain political traction, but saying the protest was organised by politicians is just madness... From time immemorial, Nigerians have always rejected fuel price increase, moreso it was a sudden 120% hike in pump prices on January 1st when many were still away for xmas. |
agabusta:I'm not giving myself any false hope cos everyone already knows the Nigerian system is desperately corrupt and rigged to favour the highest bidder. So I'm not giving myself any hope here; I'm only just stating what is a clear fact and what the outcome should be had Nigeria been a society that reveres the rule of law. This issue is only being debated cos we're in Nigeria where anything goes... All the legal examples you gave cited Section 299 of the constitution which happens to be a general provision. But Section 134(2) which mentions "...AND FCT..." is a specific provision specifically guiding presidential elections. I'm not a lawyer but one thing I know for certain is that general provision cannot supersede or override a specific provision. Even Tinubu's camp knows the 25% provision to be a problem, reason why Tinubu had to warn the PEPT that overturning an election just cos of the FCT 25% clause could plunge the nation to anarchy; what he basically implied there is that "Yes the full requirements were not met, but for the sake of avoiding anarchy, let's overlook this minor issue." It's up to the courts to tell us whether emotions and subtle threats supersede the constitution. |
agabusta:Abuja residents aren't the ones who wrote the Nigerian constitution which clearly stated in English language that they be treated as specials. 'And', 'Including', 'inclusive, we cant turn that simple English statement on its head simply because it doesnt favour some sacred cows who 'own' the system; that would set a very dangerous precedence which could rubbish a lot more things in the constitution. Sometimes I just sit back and wonder, had it been Peter OBI was the one pronounced winner but he couldn't gain 25% in FCT, had it also been OBI was the one with the $460,000 drug kingpin forfeiture case, I cant even imagine how the smart and ferocious APC e-warriors would have shredded him to pieces. But see how you all are now preaching to Nigerians how these baggages don't matter ![]() Meanwhile, can you kindly point me to the electoral judgment that stated that the FCT is equivalent to states in electoral matters. I'm patiently waiting! |
tellsblinks:unfortunately, I don't see OBI having a chance in a rerun or even a run-off. In a rerun, the powers that be wouldn't make the mistake of underrating him; they'd deploy unimaginable violence and rigging to ensure he doesnt even get up to half the votes he got before. In a run-off, it would even be worse if OBI is to run head-to-head with the other top candidates. Even if a run-off is conducted between OBI vs Kwankwaso, the entire rigging mechanism of APC and PDP would back Kwankwaso. Only chance of OBI being president is if the tribunal outright declares him the winner of the Feb 25th election (which would be nothing short of a massive miracle). I believe in miracles though! |
blaise26abj:Of course! Every president wants a loyal ally as senate president for numerous reasons. |
blaise26abj:If the election is voided, Akpabio becomes Ag. President pending the conduct of a run-off or fresh election. |
mp3ree:Doing Nothing! i.e. if the Tribunal ignores all the clear points raised and just outrightly dismisses the case, that would set a dangerous precedent. Without delving too deep, the 25% in Abuja is a clear basis to call for a run-off, the constitution was very clear on that. If the Tribunal ignores that, then it would be setting a very dangerous precedent which would rubbish the integrity of the Judiciary and the constitution. |
Like the days prior to the Feb 25th election, I totally have no clue what to expect from September 6th. - Would the Judiciary damn the succeeding legal consequences and perform some legal abracadabra? Or - Should Akpabio start warming up to be an Ag. President? Or - Would a foundation shaking judgment be passed which would send ecstatic ripples all around Africa? Not sure I know or can predict what to expect. But if I must place a bet, I'd say they'd call for a run-off in which Tinubu would likely win again by using brutal rigging. With this, the Judiciary would save face but the powers that be would still get their way. Whatever the case, the Judiciary shouldn't pass a judgment that would turn the country to a banana republic. |
Lol.. No surprises! NURTW's now a branch of the presidency. |
Hmmm... Just like the Feb 25th election, I dont even know what to expect... Akpabio might need to start warming up as an Ag. President; or the Judiciary might just damn the legal consequences and perform some legal abracadabra?.... or a foundation shocking judgment might be passed? Not sure I know or can predict what to expect. The Judiciary should however not pass a judgment that would turn the country to a banana republic. |
This girl no try all... Why should she be rewarded by anyone for being dishonest? Anyway, our leaders past and present have always been dishonest, yet we still hail them as 'honourables' and 'heroes'. So who are we to question Mmesoma? |
richie240:Inec asked for minimum of waec result or its equivalent, which is what a GCE result is.... OBI submitted that and was duly cleared.... It's not my fault that you're so dumb not to understand what 'minimum requirement' means... Keep asking for UNN result! Na the people wey work hard to pay your school fees I dey pity.... You may think you're trying to be a funny troll, but you're only making a fool of yourself by repeatedly playing dumb all day. |
richie240:Shebi if I say you be slowpoke now, the world would think I've insulted you?.... Inec requested waec result equivalent which he submitted and was duly cleared. So what's your noise about Nsukka result? E be like your brain dey spark... What's the relevance of your continuous blabbings about twitter? |
richie240:Wetin concern Twitter and INEC?... Stay away from drugs bro! |
richie240:Of course I no fit expect imbe to understand say no matter dey to address. |
richie240:You're asking why OBI provided GCE result to INEC? I know say you be imbe wey nor fit process info, but I'll still give you the answer anyway. Perhaps after repeating the answer 100 times, it may enter your skull... OBI provided GCE result to INEC cos it was the basic requirement requested by law to contest the election.... Oya ask me the mumu question again! |
richie240:INEC did not ask OBI for his BSc certificate. If they request it, he will gladly and speedily provide it to them today today! OBI isn't a crook like your oga who pees on himself when people ask just the name of his secondary school. By the way, you're neither INEC nor a fellow contestant in any of the elections. So please remind us again, ehi exactly are you and what right does a nonentity have to even request OBI's certificate? |
richie240:Keep asking stupid irrelevant questions... If you want his Uni result, you're more than welcome to go to UNN, he would gladly oblige you with the permission to proceed. He's not a crook like your president who cant even tell us the name of his secondary school? |
richie240:Mumu keeps asking the same stupid question over and over again like a zombie... INEC requirement was to submit WAEC, BSc or any other result. He submitted waec and was cleared by inec. Dont you think you're being compulsively silly by asking him to submit another result after he's already satisfied INEC requirements?.... If you want his Uni result, youre more than welcome to go to UNN, he would gladly give you the permission to proceed. But can your own president even tell us the name of his secondary school? Ode! |
