Napata77:Lol... Take it easy with your aggressive patriotism abeg. Manufacturing a helicopter gunship is way way ahead of assembling an armoured truck. Dont get it twisted. |
The convoy also includes camry 2.2 pencil light and mitsibushi L300 onuazu danfo buses? ![]() |
Looking for men and women of integrity ina country like Nigeria is like searching for a needle is a massive haystack. Most common way politicians (especially of the ruling party) effectively rig elections is by ambushing and changing polling unit results while on transit to collation centres. The recently passed electoral law requiring e-transmission of results was going to change the story for Nigerians - a mega game changer and everyone rejoiced! Of course everybody knew the corrupt politicians would never permit e-transmission of results, everybody feared INEC was a branch of the ruling party and as such, nobody trusted INEC to do the right thing. The INEC chairman had to publicly swear several times in Nigeria and abroad, that he would do the right thing and would electronically transmit the results. As feared by everyone, the INEC chairman was simply a greedy, corrupt, shameless, lying scum! After all denials, he and his organisation turned around to do the exact thing which everyone feared and predicted he would do... What a waste! |
highoctane:I guess that's a different issue altogether... |
Mental health issues.... God help us! |
EquitableTech: FRS: blaise26abj: Lovenorth:Where did you guys use your contactless cards? ... I didnt know the cards existed in Nigeria before... but then again, are there really any merchants that operate contactless POS machines in Nigeria? |
patrislayqueen:Authentication of each transaction?.... If the contactless that existed long ago in nigeria requires one to input their pin, omo that one no be contactless again oo ![]() |
highoctane:Was it contactless payment?... if it's not contactless payment, then your issue is different i guess.. |
Leebeedo:If your really knew what contactless payment was, you'd be begging your bank to set you daily limit to N5k |
PHIPEX: iSense247: PrincessofDSS: OneCandleAway: Bebigiby1: Sablexxxtoons: Blitzking:This is for contactless payments, not your regular transfer or card payment. With contactless payment cards, all you need do is bring your card close to a compliant POS machine and payment would be automatically taken from your card without you having to insert the card in the machine or inputting your pin. Contactless payments don't exist in Nigeria YET; I'm guessing they're just about to introduce it. But I doubt it would work in Nigeria though, especially given the sheer number of fraudsters we have. |
CSTRR:Reason I supported Buhari was to cut off things like this and fight corruption... He failed shamefully! In the recent election, it was easy to tell where my support would lie, cos I still wanted the same thing; someone to cut wastage and to suffocate corruption, and OBI was the perfect fit for that. But its funny how several comrades who also supported Buhari on the claim of anti-corruption and cutting wastage all turned around to support Tinubu; for them, it was about greed and tribalism all along. |
The sheer number of people on this thread excusing this lifestyle of waste explains why Nigeria has always been a shithole. Obviously these sort of mentalities can never buy into the OBI ideology of cutting waste. |
If Atiku was a reasonable candidate, then the logic being shared on this page would have been sensible. For everyone saying "OBI's decision to contest lost ATIKU the presidency", what exactly would OBI or the Obidients who simply want good governance have gained from an ATIKU presidency?... a useless vice presidency which we all know is as useless as a councillorship position?... The other day some unfortunate fellow claimed "OBI at least would have gotten contracts" had Atiku won and I was beyond disgusted; apparently these cretins think OBI and the Obidients were in the contest for contracts and money. At the end, the folks spreading this silly narrative that OBI made a mistake contesting are either hungry disgruntled PDP/Atiku minions, or just foolish Tinubu supporters who want to mock Obidients (cos I dont see how it concerns the BATists that Atiku lost the election). In both cases, these group of people appear to be too dumb to realise the essence of the Obidient movement which was just a call for good and responsible governance. |
This Reno he-goat is still pained Atiku didnt win. Nigga just lost his meal ticket for another 8 years and will never stop fooling himself in his anger against OBI. |
SangoOlukosoOba:The Chinese loans are the best loans Nigeria has collected since 1960. Those things you call 'mad terms' may not be suitable on paper for other countries, but given Nigeria's peculiarities, those mad terms are the best things to happen to Nigeria since 1960. To make my point clearer; Nigeria's total debt is currently $108 billion, and only $4.34 billion (~4%) of that amount is from China. I can easily point out up to 10 verifiable projects completed with the $4.34 billion Chinese loans; but can anyone point out just 2 projects done with the remaining $104 billion? |
gidgiddy:Oga, you have no right to tell me what I should or shouldn't be worried about... If you choose to be worried about only insecurity in the north or in Afghanistan or in Syria, but not about the insecurity at you doormouth because of some misguided sentiments, that is your business not mine.... I have the right to be concerned about insecurity in any part of the country or any part of the world, especially the parts that directly affect me.... Your sentimental biases mean nothing to me... |
gidgiddy:And this is supposed to be a justification for the crisis? .. So because there's crisis in other parts of Nigeria, so therefore it's okay for the SE to also be in crisis?... With Buhari out of power, I sincerely thought I wouldn't encounter this bizarre brand of ipob reasoning anymore.... I guess the 'iberiberism' is still here to stay! |
gidgiddy:You're asking why we're bothered about the sit at home and the crisis it brought to the SE? Are you blind or are you just playing dumb with that question? The crisis that followed the forced sit-at-home nonsense brought a lot of insecurity, economic and social damage to the south east; even the young, the blind and the mentally impaired could see and discern that... but you claim you don't understand why that should bother someone? And then what about the crisis in Zamfara? So if there's a crisis in Zamfara, does that make it right for there to be a crisis in the SE? Are you trying to justify murder and insecurity on the excuse that "there is also insecurity in the north"?... If that's the case, then this line of reasoning has to take the Guinness World Record as the most stupid logic ever to be aired by living humans... I am from the south east and it's my business what happens in the SE. As a Nigerian, it's also my business what happens in any part of Nigeria... And lastly as a human, it's also my business what happens in any part of the world. This explains why I can sit in my house and talk about what happens in Ukraine or Syria or Sudan... It's utter stupidity for anyone to tell me or imply directly or indirectly that I have no right to discuss or be worried about what's happening in Ukraine because I'm not from Ukraine. |
Abufo:Peacefully? Did you just say "peacefully" even when people were murdered in cold blood and their businesses destroyed simply for flouting the forced sit-at-home? |
Is it just me or does anyone else hate the idea of naming institutions and landmarks after people? |
In the next few years, Nigerians would be drowned with propaganda... |
JagabanBorgu:What exactly are you talking about? So if he's in France, does that mean he wouldn't get info about what's happening in NIgeria? And then after the info available to you that the salary increase was approved by RMAFC, even the head of RMAFC had an interview 2 days ago when he confirmed the increase, but you still think it's fake news? What exactly is your level of education? ![]() |
NinjaMetahuman:Stop embarassing yourself trying to defend nonsense... A few posts back, you agreed with me that the 114% increase in salaries was an ill thought move and you praised your oga Tinubu for rejecting it. But here you are now trying to insult me for saying the salary increase was a stupid proposal? Do you know how confused you sound?.... This is what you get when people desperately try to defend rubbish out of sentiments; you send your brain on an unnecessary vacation and then end up contradicting and embarrassing yourself. |
NinjaMetahuman:What sort of stupid job did the stupid agency do? Just imagine the nonsense you're vomitting in your desperation to defend government. Perhaps if Tinubu approved it, your likes would also be here defending it on the excuse that "he's just doing his job" isn't it? Nonsense! |
NinjaMetahuman:First of all, I personally didn't blame Tinubu... But even if I did, what's wrong with that? If people blame Tinubu for a foolish act by an agency under his control, what's wrong with that? Isn't he the president?.... If the agency had done something commendable, wouldn't you have praised Tinubu? How're we sure it wasn''t the public outrage that forced Tinubu to withhold how approval? |
EcoNews:If you want to know who the true bastard is, just look in the mirror. If only you had a sound mind, you could have read the message you quoted before returning to type trash. OBI did not respond to any fake news; the RMAFC which is the agency of the FG responsible for defining the salaries of public office holders actually increased the salaries of public offfice holders by 114%, and that increase is what OBI and other well meaning NIgerians were reacting to.... Of course after the public outrage, Tinubu refused to approve it. If you check properly, it's probably the reaction of well meaning Nigerians like OBI that forced Tinubu to withhold his approval. So anyone still claiming that OBi was responding to fake news is just being compulsively dumb. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2023/06/22/rmafc-defends-recommendation-for-114-increase-of-president-others-salaries https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/06/video-why-we-recommended-114-salary-increase-for-political-office-holders-rmafc/ |
JagabanBorgu:By the way, how is the 114% hike in salaries of the president and other political office holders a fake news? Is the RMAFC not an agency of the FG? Is the RMAFC not the agency of the government responsible for defining the salaries of political office holders? Did the RMAFC not approve a 114% increase in salaries of the president and other political office holders? So what then is the fake news? If the president after public outcry decides not to approve this recommedation by his own agency, how does that make it fake news that RMAFC approved the 114% increase? |
NinjaMetahuman: georgeakins:The mainstream media houses that reported the news, have they retracted it? or you're just obsessed with OBI cos he stole your meat? By the way, what's even fake about the news or are we just lacking in understanding? RMFAC approved a salary increase of 114% for political office holders - that is a hard FACT! That Tinubu decided to withhold presidential approval for the salary hike (obviously after seeing the public condemnation), that does not make it fake news that RMAFC approved a 114% salary increase for political office holders. So if you like, continue with your 'OBI obsession' and keep embarassing yourself! |
Kanu will be released by Tinubu for 'political' reasons. |
JagabanBorgu:The news was published by mainstream media. It took over 24 hours before anyone came to refute it. Attacking OBI for believing and reacting to a repulsive news reported by mainstream media is nothing but foolishness and hate. |
