I personally cannot remember any time when anyone in apc condemned the agric policy of GEJ. As a matter of fact, the first thing PMB did following his election victory was to nominate GEJ's agric minister for the african development bank presidency.

The first day I tuned into radio Biafra, oga director said the president of the zoo called Nigeria, terrorist muhammadu buhari is a paedophile who married his wife aisha at 9years old and raped her continuously till she came of age. That was clearly not the truth and that was the last time I bothered listening to radio Biafra.

I have no doubt in my mind that nnamdi kanu and 80% of his present followers are just disgruntled GEJ supporters who are very bitter over the election loss of their demi god. In the fullness of time, they would wake up from their slumber grin

smh... I think your people have proven from independence till now through their voting pattern and politics that they value nobody outside their region hence qualify more to be described with those words of yours as myopic ethnic biased people...

Those same people that see Jonathan as saint and term Obj a devil voted massively for Obj against their son;Ojukwu in 1999 & 2003...while your people rejected him for Falae & co...SW has voted along ethnic line since independence till date unlike those they hypocritically and falsely accuse and term bigots...facts are sacred bro...SW are the chief bigots in Nigeria and fortunately their voting pattern confirms this 100%...

Thank God for a Jonathan...If Obj was better how come;
1)FOI that allowed us to know financial deals of government was rejected under him...

2)How come votes never counted under him...

3)How come political assassination was prominent under him...

4)How come bribing and bastardization of morals of NASS was rife under him...

5)How come innocent villagers were wiped out through government instructions under him...

6)How come fuel queues that were common under him disappeared...

7)How come opposition candidate and individuals were murdered indiscriminately...

coolHow come corruption was institutionalised under him...check our rating under him in world corruption index...and compare with others especially Jonathan...

9)In what terms was he better than Jonathan plzzzzzzzz...unless you're missing the flow of blood of innocent peopleundecided

10)Even roads in his region... Benin/Ore...Lagos/Ibadan...Apapa/Oshodi were all under construction under Jonathan... so what exactly was Obj doing?
I have no strength to argue this further with you. By the way, you have just proven one of the ethnic reasonings I talked about; you have automatically assumed I am yoruba because I said GEJ was a horrible leader. Sorry, I am also from the SE but my reasoning doesnt have to conform to the general reasoning for me to be a proper son my father. Good day!

I cannot understand why I'm really excited about this development. I know they would be put in a special cell, I know they would be eventually freed cos I still dont trust our judiciary, but whatever the case, this is a good start.

Finally I thank God it is not a southeast governor, else I would have been very depressed reading the foolish comments of my brothers who would have surely been out in droves defending the man. Hopefully a number of past leaders from other regions would be incarcerated before it gets to the turn of the SE. Maybe and just maybe by then, we would no longer have the embarrassing case of people defending criminals anymore for the sake of ethnicity.

NOI's hands were tied; that she was able to achieve that under OBJ but then got the exact opposite result under GEJ goes to show how important the intellects of your boss is.

NOI may not be the thief, but she is too intelligent not to know who the real thieves are; this is why I support her probe.

2)What was minimum wage of workers under Obj?...What is it now?...

3)How was fuel queue under Obj? ...How was it subsequently?... Was it a magic or function of extra funding?...

4)How was insurgency under Obj?...How was it subsequently?... Was the war funded and fought catapult and stones?...

I was specifically referring to the myopic, ethnic sentiment driven people who keep painting GEJ as a saint and OBJ as a devil. Those people (probably you inclusive) should be apologising to OBJ.

As for me, OBJ does not deserve my apology; I still think he was a bad president but GEJ was 100 times worse than whatever OBJ could ever be.

But you forgot that there was no railway system working , now good roads, no new industries, no power generation, no agricultural development, more youth unemployment, no new universities etc...the only thing boast of is GSM that even the operators pay to have licence
Oh my God!.. not again!.... Did you say Railway system?... refurbished 1960 trains is what you call a working rail system?.. How does refurbishing 1960 rail tracks account for the monumental drop in foreign reserves and other funds when the country experienced massive oil boom?

Good roads where?... Benin Ore road?... Where were you before 1999 before Obj came to power?... Are you aware that that same road was fixed all the way from Warri up to Okada (after Benin) before Obj handed over?... Are you aware that OBj even built the 'brand new' Benin by-pass which helps travellers to totally avoid the massive traffic they experience inside benin city?... Jonathan fixed a stretch of the road on the approach to Ore and this was commissioned as a massive achievement, meanwhile it was someone else who built the entire road in the past.

Or is it the Abuja roads or the east-west road?.. kindly mention the road that was started or completed by GEJ in the entire nation for him to claim that he gave Nigerians good roads?... Propaganda is such a terrible brainwasher and a destroyer of minds. It still surprises me that the juju placed on Nigerians in terms of believing GEJ did plenty roads has still not cleared up till now from the eyes of some people. angry

No new industries?... Are you aware of the massive employment created by the telecommunications and the banking industry under OBJ?... Are you aware that OBJ single handedly gave Nigeria a middle class?.... If only OBJ decided to deceive himself and advertise his achievements with half the kind of media and publicity GEJ employed, we would have still had billboards of his endless achievements still mounted on Mars.

As for Power generation, can you mention how many megawatts of electricity GEJ added to Nigeria in his entire 5 years?.... And also, can you please name a single power plant which was started by GEJ?... Are you aware that even up till 2015, all the power plants commissioned by GEJ are actually projects started by OBJ and progressed to an advanced stage before they were abandoned by their contractors who looted the remaining monies?... Are you aware that those projects were funded by the same $16billion dollars we accuse OBJ of squandering?... Now this may be a big one, are you aware that GEJ spent more than the $16billion which OBj spent for power, but this was even after the power plants were all privatised but still yet, we could not still get up to an additional 1000mw in his entire tenure... and this my friend is what you want to compare to OBJ?... How can people so easily allow themselves to be deceived by these senseless lies?... Tell me please, what did GEJ do for power generation? angry angry angry

You say GEJ built 12 new universities but are you aware it was mainly more of 'upgrades' and not necessarily new institutions?... They convert polytechnics, college of educations etc to universities, all that was done was a change of name and I am still yet to understand how that accounts for the several billions of dollars lost from our foreign reserves at a period of unprecedented economic boom when we should have had increases in our reserves.

I just still cannot fathom how any one at all can still think that GEJ was a good or a better president than OBJ even with all the shortcomings which are very obvious. In terms of handling the economy and increasing GDP, OBJ beat GEJ (remember it is the telecommunications industry of OBJ that led to Nigeria overtaking SA in terms of GDP). In terms of job creation, OBJ beat GEJ totally. In terms of adding to our power generation, OBJ beat GEJ hands down (how I wish a similar power probe will be instituted to expose the monumental waste in the power sector in the last 5 years). The only area GEJ may have beaten OBJ is in agriculture and lest I forget, in the proliferation of corruption - GEJ was weak and indecisive and for this reason, everyone under and around him kept looting Nigeria blind without GEJ batting an eyelid or probing a single person.

I just pray God opens your eyes to see this one day.

Well, that money was NOT reported as stolen, the guy involved has a "going" Company and so, at the worst case, he should have transferred it through a bank but we all know that due to the ridiculous forex exchange rate given in banks, people prefer to deal in cash, when it comes to Forex.

I have bought forex from mallam right INSIDE a bank and it was even the bank staff that directed me to him.
Banks make money by collecting forex from CBN at the lower "official rate" and then selling it (through third parties like the forex Mallams) at a higher black market rate.

A story made headlines on Nairaland about the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency intercepting $2.1m here https://www.nairaland.com/2437137/ndlea-intercepts-man-moving-2.1million

Well, unfortunately the story is not true. Take a look at the points illustrated on the following pictures

The "NK" on that banner is LIKELY to be an insignia of the word "BANK" meaning that the photograph was taken in a bank.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/2607074_saharalies_jpeg5dad639e42be48a10b6f824610f0e4a6

Secondly, the counting machine on the table near the said Dollars is used mostly in banks and other institutions.
What in the world will a counting machine be used for in the NDLEA for? Counting marijuana leaves??

The composure and relaxed gait on the face of the "suspect"

www.nairaland.com/attachments/2606709_cjz0fnjwcaap2b2_jpeg12e832fd90ea0ad57f9c718fe20eacb7

You can see that the face of the man is so relaxed as he is absolutely under no pressure or tension at all. This man has the expression of someone who was just told to pose for a photo just for leisure

The said "suspect" has no name: As i noticed, no name was given to the suspect. At least, we all know that when criminals are apprehended, their names and where they come from is usually the first thing to grace the news.

NDLEA is not an agency that checkmates money laundering: Since when did the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement become saddled with the responsibility to intercept cash instead of narcotics? Secondly, Sahara Reporters did not clearly state what intent the money was being transported by the suspect. Was it the proceeds of a drug sale or evidence from a drug bust?

Finally, no other REPUTABLE Newspaper Online carried the news: I ran a check and found out that the news was not carried by notable online tabloids like Vanguard, The Sun News Online, Punch Online etc but only Sahara and other blogging sites. This shows the authenticity of that story is questionable.

Sahara Reports is known to be serving fake headlines which have been swallowed ignorantly by gullible Nigerians. For them to post this kind of story can be damaging to this man and he could take serious legal action against them.

The story is absolutely false and should be disregarded!

Yar'adua inherited $20billion ECA nobody asked him or any of his ministers why the ECA dropped to $6.5 billion. Jonathan inherited $6.5billion and managed to leave behind $2billion despite the fact that the governors were so much on his neck. The explanation of the ECA under Jonathan is not a secret affair. Can that be said of Yar'adua and Obasanjo? Can that be said of the Governors?
It was the freaking job of Jonathan to ask OBJ and Yaradua what they did with the money during their tenures. If GEJ in his carelessly corrupt ways did not think it was necessary to check how his predecessor spent government funds, is that a reason why his successor (PMB) should also follow the same path of unaccountabilty?
Politics › Re: Jonathan, NOI, Governors And The Excess Crude Account Events by obailala(m):

Pre-Jonathan: Obasanjo Left $20billion In ECA, Yar'adua Left $6.5billion
When late President Umaru Yar’Adua was sworn in on May 29th, 2007, the ECA held $20billion, out of which $5 billion had been pledged by the three tiers of government to the National Independent Power Project (NIPP), which jointly own the account.

Now something striking was revealed in this your research. So you mean OBJ actually saved ECA funds of up to $20billion? shocked Wow!

OBJ met a nation with a foreign reserve of $5.4billion but he grew this figure to well over $40billion by the time he left office. He also saved ECA funds of $20billion and this same man also paid off Nigeria's external debt of $12billion (after negotiating it down from over $30billion in his numerous foreign trips). Lest I forget, the average oil price in the tenure of OBJ was $38 per barrel as against the $100 per barrel average in the reign of GEJ.

Meanwhile, Obasanjo who achieved the above is the same man we all called (and still call) 'useless thief' and Ota monkey while we go ahead to defend, praise, glorify and immortalise his successors who crashed our entire reserves in a space of 5 years when we had an economic boom. How can any right thinking society do this?... why is the black man like this for God's sake?

I have learnt a lesson in life that it takes you to meet a devil before you can truly identify who the angels are. OBJ deserves an apology from Nigerians.

This piece is absolutely right. Jonathan supporters exhibited and still exhibit a weird form of irresponsible followership which is exactly what they used in deceiving the poor man. They never believed that GEJ could ever do anything wrong and some even went ahead to label him Jesus Christ.

Just within the first months of Buhari's leadership, the differences between a typical PMB supporter and a typical Jonathanian has already been exposed. A large number of Buhari supporters have already proven themselves to be sane and reasonable humans by even openly criticising some of PMB's actions since he took over less than 2 months ago. But this concept of sensible followership is absolutely strange to the Jonathanians; in fact, the tiny brains of a large number of them interprets this concept as "PMB supporters now regret voting for PMB."

My only fear about this is that even if these guys are totally exposed red-handed and even if they confess to theft of billions, nothing will still happen to them because there would be wide-spread protests by senseless idiotss that the people are being persecuted because of their tribe/ethnicity.

Well, this is not environmental sanitation, this involves politics so you cannot completely remove politics from such exercises.

Then to your question regarding if he's the only governor that stole money, kindly go and read Number 1 of my last comment. I stated clearly that "it must start from somewhere," no society has ever arrested and tried all its criminals at the same time. It has to start from somewhere and I'm sorry, you do not have a right to choose where it should start from.

Finally did you just insinuate that Igbos are hunted down and humiliated?... I am Igbo but neither me nor my family members or loved ones are being hunted down and humiliated, rather it is CRIMINALS that are being hunted down. If you are a criminal or have big criminals in your family, then my apologies, you may soon be caught in the net too. If common sense was common, this should have been viewed as a good development by the Igbos because the money stolen by the man belongs to Igbos.

1. The war against corruption must start from somewhere.

2. It is only a dolt that would expect the war on corruption to start from the close friends/associates of the president. Common sense should tell any sane person that the war would more likely start from outsiders.

3. The money was stolen from poor Igbo people and if recovered, the beneficiaries are poor Igbo people. If common sense was common in Nigeria, this should have been a good development. But sadly, our brains were not configured to reason that way.
