As usual... grin cheesy

When I asked why the crowd in PDP presidential campaigns usually had most of the people wearing one nice colourful uniform or the other, I suggested it must be because they were paid groups. But a Nairaland PDPian by name zubbyonu graciously shut me up and claimed in his words,

"IT IS SIGN OF ONENESS,maturity,TOGHETERNESS, colourfull above all educative. not one mai gworo gen. GEJ TILL 2019"
Who was I to really object to his assertions?... but now breeze don blow and you know what happens to the fowl when that happens. grin grin cheesy

Both involves lavishing money recklessly.
The difference is that Wike's could be forgiven but that of Amaechi is a completely immoral act.
Amaechi accused Wike of stealing and lavishly spending public funds but your ideology regards that as a forgiveable offence. On the other hand, you think a man who commits adultery should never be forgiven?

We have a multitude of people with your reasoning, that is exactly why Nigeria and in fact, the entire black race is backward. May God rid us of your type of mentality.

The polling unit that is in my street is located at the front of the compound were i reside, and fortunatly my room is also close and beside were INEC table is placed.. so as an electrical enginer, i will buy an electronic extension socket with a long wire, and plug it to a power source in my room, then i will bring out the extension socket and keep it close to the the polling unit table so inec officials will plug their laptop, card readers and whatever electronic equipment they are using to conduct the voting exercise inorder for the batteries of the laptops not to run down and distrupt the voting exercise. My polling unit had battery and power issues during 2011 election, i dont want a repitation of that this year.. that is how i intend to assist INEC in my own little way as a good and patroitic Nigerian. you can also do likewise if it is possible in your own locality.
Kudos to you!.. you are indeed a good Nigerian
Politics › Re: King Of Jordan Planning To Lead Airstrikes Against ISIS Himself? by obailala(m): 4:21pm On Feb 05, 2015
Is this not another crystal clear evidence that we have a leadership vacuum in Nigeria?

We have a president who dances at political rallies the very next day after terrorists gruesomely murder over 100 of his people; a president who sits back and relaxes when over 200 little girls are kidnapped by the same terrorists until a worldwide uproar forced him to react 18 days later.

The greatest tragedy however is that a lot of ordinary Nigerians still actually think we have a good leader in Jonathan, probably because neither they nor their families are affected by the onslaught. May God deliver us undecided

Politics › Re: The Lie About Warri Refinery. Buhari And Obasanjo Did'nt Build Warri Refinery by obailala(m):
90% of the refinery project, including its commissioning was accomplished under the watch of Buhari as the petroleum minister so it only just makes sense that the glory goes to OBJ/GMB. Now this argument may be considered by some as valid and others as invalid but I dare to say the GEJites are more guilty of this alleged 'claimed glory syndrome.'

Today 95% of the so called achievements the Jonathanians are celebrating were started by previous governments. I challenge GEJ supporters to point out a single project which wasnt started by his predecessors (OBJ and Yaradua).

Is it the railways?... is it the roads, is it the airport repainting?... Someone builds an airport from the scratch and another repaints the airport decades later yet we jump around celebrating the repainter?

Can someone please point out a single road project or infact any project at all which was started and completed under Jonathan's 6 years reign?... Is it the dualisation of the Abuja-Lokoja road or the Abuja Airport road or the Lagos - Ibadan road or the benin - ore - shagamu roads; these projects were all started by previous regimes and the most annoying thing is that the projects are still not completed, yet the GEJites block our eardrums with screams of uncommon transformation, they can't even wait for the completion before they 'claim the glory.'

May I also add the power sector, every single project (power stations) commissioned by GEJ were conceptualised and a large chunk paid for by OBJ as part of the $16billion which we accuse OBJ of squandering. Up till today, some of these belated projects are being commissioned and we give GEJ all the glory yet these same Jonathanians think it is wrong to ascribe the glory of the Warri refinery to OBJ/Buhari (who supervised 90% of the project)?... What is good for the goose......
Politics › Re: Alleged N30tr Missing Under Okonjo-iwela Impossible! - Ribadu. by obailala(m): 12:46pm On Feb 05, 2015
“over N30 trillion is missing or stolen or unaccounted for, or simply mismanaged”
A lot of people obviously do not understand the meaning of the words mismanaged, unaccounted for and missing.

It's a shame that a lot of people, including Nuhu Ribadu did not read past the first paragraph of Soludo's write-up or maybe he read just the title. It is either they didn't read or they didn't understand the plain English or they actually read and understood but just decided to act like they dont understand in order to possibly deceive gullible people.

For anyone who maybe for 'genuine' reasons, couldn't read the long write-up or who 'genuinely' doesnt have the basic comprehension ability to grasp what Soludo said, an extract of Soludo's estimated N30Trillion is as follows:

"First, you admit that ‘oil theft’ has reduced oil output from the average 2.3 – 2.4 million barrels per day (mpd) to 1.95mpd (meaning that at least 350,000 to 450,000 barrels per day are being ‘stolen’. On the average of 400,000 per day and the oil prices over the past four years, it comes to about $60 billion ‘stolen’ in just four years. In today’s exchange rate, that is about N12.6 trillion.

Second, my earlier article stated that the minimum forex reserves should have been at least $90 billion by now and you did not challenge it. Rather it is about $30 billion, meaning that gross mismanagement has denied the country some $60 billion or another N12.6 trillion.

Now add the ‘missing’ $20 billion from the NNPC. You promised a forensic audit report ‘soon’, and more than a year later the Report itself is still ‘missing’. This is over N4 trillion, and we don’t know how much more has ‘missed’ since Sanusi cried out"

Soludo also mentioned the $6.8billion (N1.43Trillion) which was the actual amount the FG lost in the fuel subsidy scam; I suppose Ribadu wouldnt be silly to deny this cos it was actually his committee's finding. This is in addition to the unappropriated $10billion (N2.1Trillion) which the FG dubiously claimed they paid for kerosene subsidy which never worked.

Of course Nigerian soldiers have already totally lost confidence in the ability of Jonathan to be a Commander-in-Chief. No matter what Jonathan does now, it would take only a miracle for the high morale of our soldiers to be restored.

In sorry situations like this, soldiers typically pray for a change in the C-in-C and with high optimism, their morale would be boosted AUTOMATICALLY; not to talk of when the alternative leader is ex-military.

Why should anyone be surprised that a soldier supports an ex-soldier?

But GEJ signed the freedom of information bill that other presidents were afraid to even think about.
GEJ is the most tolerant president Nigeria (even Africa) has ever produced. I'm not his fan, but I have to give him credit for that.
Bro, there is a limit to which excessive tolerance becomes an undesirable trait... GEJ's so called tolerance has exceeded reasonabe and acceptable limits.

1. GEJ tolerated the bokoharam bastards; he actually claimed they were our brothers... Now the monsters are out of control

2. GEJ tolerated corruption and corrupt people; how can one possibly explain the unprecedented and in fact, unrealistic plundering of the nation's resources which is now trending in the range of billions of dollars, yet not a single person has been put behind the counter, let alone put behind bars?... I call this looting 'unrealistic' because it is so much that so many Nigerians (including Jonathan himself) does not believe that any kobo is missing. Everyone tells us NO MONEY IS MISSING! NO MONEY IS MISSING!!! yet the country's foreign reserves drops from over $60billion to $31billion in 4 years and eternal debt of the nation rises by over 1000% from about $3billion to about $40billion.

What do we have on ground to show for this monumental depletion in foreign reserves at a time the country experiences the highest economic boom (average $100per barrel crude)?....
1. some refurbished 1970 trains running on a narrow gauge (1950s technology)
2. Refurbished airports which still have leaking roofs in international arrival lounges
3. three (3) more planes added to presidential fleet with a proposal to add a fourth and make them 11 aircrafts
4. A boom in the private jet industry; Nigeria is presently the only country in the world with more private jets (rose from 20 in 2007 to 150 as at a 2012 count) than commercial passenger planes (less than 65 in total). Even GEJ bragged about this that "how can the world say Nigerians are poor and suffering when we have one of the highest number of private jets?"

I wouldn't even want to go into the further details of the proven criminals in and outwith the government who are tolerated and in fact, celebrated by GEJ; e.g. Abba Moro, Stella Odua, the pardoned Alamieyesegha etc.

GEJ is indeed a very tolerant man, even when he tried to show some intolerance such as in the Mbu vs Amaechi case or the withdrawal and teargassing of Tambuwal, the lousy attemps at intolerance did not still yield fruits because he doesnt just have it in him.

Oh yes! GEJ is a very tolerant man, but there is certainly an extent to which tolerance from a leader should be celebrated as a positive.

These sahara reporters think Buhari will tolerate their gossips and mudslinging? grin
SaharaReporters isn't functioning today because GEJ is tolerating them. They still function till today simply because GEJ CANNOT touch them (they operate from a remote office somewhere in the middle of New York City).

If Sowore or any of his lieutenants were to step foot in Nigeria and are spotted, GEJ and his dogs (DSS) would not spare a second in sweeping them straight into kirikiri without trial. GEJ isn't as tolerant as you think he is.

PDP will make a very good opposition since they already are very experienced in the art and act of looting.
