omo i gats to say their outfit was eye catching, the colour really stood out , very vibrant yellow, ours was just there, very borderline average
A+ advice.
But how long is that going to take?
Prince2 is about buying the book, reading like mad, attend classes if you can afford it , but if you have time , study on your own, i did and i passed it.
The exam is in 2 stages, you have the foundation and the practitioner , both can be done same day. if one is serious in at least 2mths you can be achieve both certifications, but you have the option of doing the foundation first then the practitioner later

mammz: Europe, US and Canada!!! the common destination for most africans huh.
the common career path seems to be a masters degree, research work and very recently a rush for nursing (gbo gbo no feli feli lipsrsealed)
But my question now is what next? I am a Business Management graduate and it has been difficult to secure a job with my qualification... do I go for a masters degree or try nursing because the jobs just ain't available... undecided

Is it the system, my qualification or me... cry
well i studied Business mgt for my masters in the UK, before i graduated i already decided that i was going to go into project mgt , so i did the prince2 exam, and i have not looked back since. The masters degree just adds to my qualifications and helps when i'm negotiating my salary .
My advice is that you look for jobs not necessarily with the tag business mgt but look for jobs that you have the skills they are looking for, look into doing one or 2 professional courses, not sure which one but you cant go wrong with project mgt.
Also what does your CV say about you? have you registered with agencies? what websites have you searched , looking for a job should become your full time job now oh, you must not sleep , dont shy away from application forms and most of all how far with your papers? hope that's in order .
Lastly you will be rejected many times but dont give up when you get the usual on this occasion you have not been successful email nicely delete and keep applying .
Even in this recession people are still getting jobs everyday and that shld be your mindset

seyenko: Afternoon Docs in the house, please i have a very good friend who has been bed wetting from our days in the boarding house till now. He is very academically sound has worked within the financial service industry in Nigeria and America. Though he is back finally into the country, he is yet to get married, he hardly keeps relationships because of this. We met at our reunion and i know the issue is the singular reason he is not married. Is there any one out there with a solution to this?
your friend might have Nocturnal enuresis which is the involuntary voiding of urine during sleep,He might have underlying health conditions including diabetes, heart conditions, prostate enlargement, sleep apnea, or experiencing side effects from medications or supplements. He needs to see his doctor ASAP, poor him, it cant be easy in his shoes

TravelEasyjet To Operate In Africa As Fastjet by obi123(op): 11:26am On Jun 28, 2012
So i just read on CNN website that Easy jet(low cost airline) is getting set to start operating in Africa - Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Angola for starters, i think its absolutely brilliant, i have flown them a number of times and apart from their hidden charges which one has to be careful about they are pretty much a sane airline and i haven't had any bad experiences with them.
Anyway i think its a brilliant venture by Stelios , what say you ?

You can't be on the fence in matters like these. If u have tangible solutions u drop them and stop talking trash!
People are dying everyday, what n how will they reduce the chances of being victimized? Answer that! You don't give half-baked solutions! huh undecided angry angry angry
na wa oh Mr man calm down , Ekwah just expressed an opinion and you have pounced on him/her for no reason at all, no one can say they have the solution to this problem and even if they have , how will it be implemented when it seems that the govt knows why all of this is happening but they are not willing to do jack abt it.
Yes i support the notion of leaving the north if you can afford it , because waiting for the govt to provide a solution is like signing your our death warrant, but for those people who cant afford it there is really nothing to say abt them because really what advice can one give them?

RomanceRe: Ever Felt Guity After Calling It Quit? by obi123: 9:19am On Jun 15, 2012
acidtalk: HEART BREAK : Have You Ever Felt Guilty After Calling It Off?

Ever since my ex girlfriend who was in her very early 20s and quite naïve tried committing suicide on two occasions because I called off the relationship I swore never to call it quit with any girl again in my entire life till I will die.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean I will stick my head in the relationship and die in frustration. I just never use those words "let's call this relationship quit" or "I think I don't feel like I am meant for you". Words like that have long erased from my lips.

I will rather withdraw into my shell for as long as I can, and then my partner does the calling off.

Before entering any relationship I always emphasize on COMMUNICATION on whatever circumstance no matter how trivial it might even sound, I want my partner to always voice out so we can both know where we are heading.

Gentlemen and Ladies have you ever call off a relationship even though you know it was the best thing for you but you were made to feel guilty about it?

Mature Contributions ONLY!!!
Please use the "BACK" button to return to the previous page if you have nothing meaningful to contribute.

Thank you in advance.
well i just called a relatively new relationship off, because i knew in my mind that i would never grow to love him and that we were really significantly different and i didn't feel the need to drag it out for longer, unconsciously i started to withdraw but not hoping that he would call it off , i knew i would be the one to do that because for some reason he was willing to just continue with the relationship with the way it was , i wasn't.
He noticed that i wasn't my usual self and asked , anyway that conversation didn't go too well, suffice to say it was a shout fest, i told him you know what, we are not bringing out the best in each other and i think we should call it off.
i feel guilty for calling it off though , I've asked myself why as i have no regrets .
i guess its normal to feel that way , time is a healer i always say
RomanceRe: I Am Pregnant But We Cant Afford A Church Wedding Now! by obi123: 2:02pm On Jun 14, 2012
Hello all, im 30 and my fiance is 32. we have been dating for over 5yrs now, to get a job was so difficult for both of us if not we would have been married by now with one or two kids. i got a job early last year which earns me 75k per month and i have responsibilities too as im currently undergoing my masters program and im sponsoring myself through school and i still assist at home sometimes. my fiance just got a job early this year and hes pay is 55k. i just found out that im 1 month pregnant and im not thinking of abortion at all. the problem is; we dont have up to 200,000naira in savings but we were planning on working on making it up to 400k between now and two months time to carry out a low key traditional and court wedding only. i will feel terrible moving around with a big tummy and no sign of wedlock, at work, church, anywhere i go,etc. i dont like d idea and so does my fiance. we cant afford a church wedding now as it will be too costly considering d time frame. my mum has said that none of her kids will marry without doing a church wedding as it makes d marriage look incomplete though i haven't told her about the pregnancy yet. is it really true that if one weds without doing church wedding it doesn't make it complete? though am a christain but how important is really a church wedding?
Church wedding is simply having your marriage blessed in the church in front of witnesses ,yes we all would like kate and william's royal wedding but right now my dear your priority now is not reception of any kind, just package yourself with your man to your church and ask the pastor/priest whoever to bless ur union. Then march to the nearest registry and sign the papers. There is not one way of getting married some people have kids then get married and vice versa.
My friend invited me for their court wedding and after they signed the papers, the wedding party, 12 of us were invited to a pizza place where we all had pizza and called it a day, bottom line is they are married .

Children are not cheap oh,dont forget hospital bills, rent nko? wont you eat so that the child will be healthy? when the child is born nko your expenses will triple the wise thing is to save whatever money you have right now for later you will definitely need it and there's no guarantee that help will come from anywhere.

The absolute worst thing you can do is to borrow money to get married , dont do it
Christianity EtcRe: Creflo Dollar Arrested For Choking His Daughter by obi123: 10:21am On Jun 11, 2012
The day my child talks back at me will be a day to be remembered , in fact it will be one for the books, because regardless of where i raise my kids, i DARE them to talk back, talk less of picking up the phone to call the police.
I was raised by my dad who had zero tolerance for disrespect and partying in fact before i get to the Y in party , i would have been given THE SILENCER (hot slap),now as a grown up we have very good laughs about some of the things he did.
Creflo lost his temper , his daughter must have really pushed him to the wall as children will do, he shouldn't have choked her as he could have killed her in the process which would be worse.
Raising kids is not an easy task , raising them abroad is another ball game entirely, we pray to at least have the one that listens to avoid situations like these.
I know there are evil MILs out there, but the cynic in me can't help but ask

1) If your friend was still cooking the food
2) The origin of the food

Simply because that type of toxigenic agent is more common in the food supply/food chain of grains like rice, corn, etc, of developing 10th world continents like Africa AND some vegetarian food have colourings called Monascus which contains high levels of this fungus.

So perhaps your friend's Hubby could test some of her vegetarian diet to finger the appropriate culprit.

Na so some nigerian culture go dey felicitate say their pickin go grow chubby and fat cos he/she has eela(dermatitis) in the folds of their skin beknown to them that the poor baby's weakened immune system is being ravished by mould and the poor child is on the way to loosing all his/her hair and developing asthma lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
My friend cooked mixed vegetables which consisted of broccoli, sweet corn , peas, prawns and stuff like that which she bought at Tescos .But this is not the first time she will make this.

Don't worry tomorrow she will come back and say she is born again, the whole family will say old things are passed away and the wife will now be the evil one. I am waiting for the first person to come here and say that the DIL should kill the mil with respect and love. The fact that this dil was suspecting something shows that this mil did not start being a devil today.
what would he have done now, let her sleep on the streets of Scotland ? but you are right , she can come back tomorrow and beg for forgiveness saying it was the devil and that now she is born again and then the saga continues

Women are naturally insecure , competitive and like to be involved and acknowledged , Fathers In Law don't feel the need to be that involved with everything that's why cases of troublesome Fathers In Law are few.

maclatunji: LOL, I am just frustrated at the tendency of many women to do absurd things for the most fickle of reasons. How can a MIL want to kill her son's wife and mother of her grandchildren? I have some other experiences that are not related to attempted murder and one cannot help but wonder: does this woman have a functional brain at all? I don't intend to insult or offend (responsible) women but it is the truth that many women do silly things that just don't add-up by any form of logic. Do you know understand my outburst? At least a little. grin
i understand you , but we can never ever understand what motivates people.
There is really no explanation enough to justify what the MIL did. They have never gotten along but to try to wipe out the family is another thing.
We all have to be careful, even at that , only God really can save us from people and their insecurities
