bobokelly: Sorry guys does it really mean liberty reserve are dubious or they are no more functions?, please i need quick answer.Sorry but LOL |
The masses are just as useless as the leaders. For cheap money they allow themselves to be bought. If there was a police shoot out and a few of them died would it have been for a worthy cause? |
You mean the Paedo Yerima? Sure, he'd make a great VP. |
zolajpower: First nd formost,i hv got u to blame. Bein a nairalander u shld hv tried 2 take a pix of d scene and show us nd d world hw inhuman d NPF can b. Secondly,we dnt knw d magnitude of such offence as i wil nt want to be judgmental. More so i hvnt heard frm d oda party. Am nt takin there sid any way. Becos d story was painted as if ur sis,was innoucent. Since God has nt call me to judge Anyway sorry abt d whole thn.Sorry but are you a sensible person at all? You go to Nigerian Police station that forces people to UnCloth for tiny misdemeanour crimes like negotiating beyond some arbitrary line in the market, and start snapping photos because you are a 'Nairalander'. |
Did one of the mods smoke somethng tho...whats all this rubbish on the front page? |
***I apologise in advance for the spam, but you may find this interesting. Just posting on behalf of a friend. Buy your Ramadan Speaking Cards for your Muslim friends. T |
Aringarosa: Some of you should get yourselves a little education in the art of war.guerilla not gorilla |
Gamesmart: I am pretty sure there is no way a legal document asking you to pay a sum (N250K) for wanting to discontinue employment will stand up in any sane court. More so since the N250K was not given to you e.g. as joining bonus or golden handshake. This happens quite a lot in Nigeria actually, even some banks. Look at the related threads at the top of this page |
Hiss,,,this doesnt even look like a real story. At least its not really the OP in this predicaments. lol..just noticed this "21. Please spell words correctly when you post, and try to use perfect grammar and punctuation." OK grammar nazi |
natasha: I will tell you that jobs are hard to come by, so also is keeping a job. There isnt an easy job. Even oil/banking/political jobs have alot of stress attached to it. If you are complaining that you work in the rain and sun (yet you hv a guaranteed income montgly irrespectively of your target met) i am sorry to say this; you are LAZY. Very lazy and a typical epitome of the nigerian graduate who feels the world owes them the right to a xushy, well paying stress free job.You cant come here, Natasha, and compare working conditions in the UK to that of Nigeria. Especially as its been shown that you yourself arent hardworking enough to come and serve your country with your Msc and 5 years experience at 24. |
I know someone who was in this same predicament, except it was a Nigerian company and the working conditions were not as bad as this. However, the money they were asking for back was much higher than this. It was the equivalent of 9 months salary @ > 100k per month. Long and short was my dude left before stipulated contract expired, for a higher paying experienced role at a bank, and was owing the company. He decided not to pay. When it came for him to be confirmed by bank after 6 months they sent a letter to his old employers. Who obviously said they could not advice anybody to hire him. He eventually lost the (bank) job and tried to sue the former company. I dont think he won because he signed an agreement fair and square. My honest advice would be to either finish up your contract, you signed the bond, its not a great contract but its legally binding on you. 2 years isnt the longest time in the world. Or b, delete the company from your entire profile so its as if you never worked there. this would be a waste of the time and experience you have spent there sha. Others have already adviced how there might be a breach of contract etc but that sounds like it will be a long winded procedure |
just took the S3 out my pocket when i read this...shiiit |
loooolll..nor be this guy wey dey form Khal Drogo with the mace be that...this guy bare nearly killed like 3 guys |
omiobo: I don't know about medical solution to your predicament but I know of a solution which is Prayer. You have the power to bind the forces behind your problem if you have faith. If everything was solvable by prayer, Nigeria for one wont have any problems. Set an alarm to wake up twice a night or something. |
2goodbobo: I thought by now securities should have been attached to all schools? Is this possible/feasible/sustainable in reality |
I doubt they check like that. Aguiyi-Ironsi's father was Sierra Leonean apparently... |
Yup...a Random bbm screenshot with some random name and a Paul (P Square) display name. It must be legit. |
kael: They say they having glaring evidence of corruption which they will reveal if their demands are not metBWAHAHAHAHAHAAHGAAAA....lol...yeah so do we we watch CNN too |
vicade: Even without strike, the quality is zero. zero for both the tutors and the students. Thanks, these are my exact thoughts! |
Samuraigirl: Have you students never stopped for a brief moment to wonder at the state of our university environment and how debasing most universities tutors offices and lecture halls are? Some even share office spaces and have had to furnish their offices using their personal funds. I had a very brief stint with one of the major oil companies when I returned to this country.Insightful post samuraigirl, you sound like the kind of person we need to move this sector forward. Can I ask what motivated you to leave an Oil company for a Fed Uni. Im currently pursuing a doctorate as well, and as much as I'd like to lecture in Nigeria some day the state of the whole sector is very discouraging. I think its safe to say that this 'free tertiary education' model is failing us. These incessant strikes by ASUU dont seem to achieve anything except drag the sector into further disrepute domestically and internationally. |
and its obvious many of you didnt even watch the video..im tired |
But the original post is 3 years old...these rubbish blogs ehn |
val_dubem: Let them keep buying porsche while OJB keeps breathing his last at the hospital.Have you donated to OJB? |
Pukkah: Why is the Senate Committee on Drugs, Narcotics, and Anticorruption silent on this unprecedented ineptitude of EFCC?Lol..The Senate? You probably cant find a larger group of corrupt individuals even if you went to a cybercafe in Ilupeju in the early 2000's |
cap28: the british govt are responsible for keeping over 80% of nigerians in poverty - they have got Nigeria neck deep in debt, the money their banks make from the interest generated from these loans alone is what they are using to prop up their welfare state and provide a decent standard of livng for their own people while the vast majority of Nigerians live in poverty as if that isn't bad enough they now expect those who want to escape this poverty to part with a whopping £3,000 - how many average british people can afford to part with £3,000 for a visa? Not true that the UK govt is responsible for Nigeria's 'poverty'. Our history of inept goverment is soley responsible for this |
Policewoman: Suits some Nigerians right. Some just wake up and go to U.K. There was this friend of mine that wedded some weeks ago. Her mum travelled to U.K and bought her a wedding dress. When she saw the dress, she cried that she didn't like it and so she and her mum took the next available plane back to U.K to buy another wedding dress. Imagine. And are these the kind of people the UK should be turning back? How much money from those trips added to the UK economy as compareed to Nigeria's? |
gerald09: Its not dem fault no matter what una say Nigerians still rush there. I meet a guy @ elephant n castle sometime ago he actually quit his job @ diamond bank, made his wife quit her job @ first bank n moved down to UK for greener pasture, he works @ royal mail now sorting letters while his wife sits @ home hating d dude. £3000 is to small for stupid people like dat guy.WOW! |
Going by these figures, thats a whopping 3 billion pounds per year. Sounds like a good short term interest free loan to me! |
chux76: Visitors from 'high risk' countries in Africa and Asia will have to put up a £3,000 cash bond to enter Britain.Notice how the article doesnt say anything about a. how much money they got from issuing these visas b. how many people applied and how many were rejected to come up with this amount c. how many of this 100k Nigerians have actually overstayed thier visas and absconded. Methinks they are just looking for short term money to play with |
ive been waiting for this to get here...ahn ahn/..lataaro...oya now lets go |
lol...this was hilarious. It was kind of pompous to come out and proclaim your site as the best site in Lagos, especially when there are holes that can be picked in it. |
10,000? The Nigerian Army can handle that...After getting free training and a monthly allowance they still want the FG to look for work for them again abi. Yeah, target practice for the army is gainful employment |
