PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Militants Showing Off Weapons From An Army Barack Raid (VIDEO) by ocheejemb: 2:38pm On May 01, 2013
kgold: Propaganda that's the word. As some1 wrote it would take hours. The BarracKs is fortified. Am a soldier and can tell you nothing happened. Dog tags n wallets with Idcard. It costs #250 2 make these each. That's y AHQ has changed the I'd card, so people won't lie about. We have our share of losses, but we have inflicted heavy on their end.what I would advise is that these guys have sponsors and ignorance fuels their agenda. We make breakthrough when villagers distance themselves from these ragtag bandits. Imagine a pregnant women faking Labour to hide a wanted commander if not for our due diligence, there would have been a blood bath. I know the NA isn't perfect but we get the job done, while minimising our losses.
You are a hero Sir. A good friend of mine is also a soldier and posted in Borno state and I have soo much respect for him.

Allen kee: [b]SINCERELY, I CAME OUT OF THE EXAMINATION HALL WITH MIXED FEELINGS! angry angry
MY COMBINATIONS WERE; MATHS, ENGLISH, GOVERNMENT AND ECONOMIC. JAMB IS REALLY NOT PREDICTABLE, THEY ASKED US TO BUY TWO NOVELS LAST YEAR YET THEY DID NOT SET ANY QUESTION FROM THE NOVELS, THOUGH I READ EVERYTHING LAST YEAR.
WHEN I SAW THE TWO SAME NOVEL IN THIS YEAR'S SYLLABUS, I THOUGHT JAMB WAS JOKING SO I DID NOT BOTHER MYSELF GOING THROUGH THE PAIN OF READING THEM OVER AGAIN BECAUSE I WAS IGNORANTLY OPTIMISTIC THAT JAMB WILL NOT SET A SINGLE QUESTION FROM THEM.

TO MY UTMOST SURPRISE, THERE WERE FIFTEEN QUESTIONS FROM THE TWO NOVELS! I NEVER KNEW MY BRAIN WAS SO SHARP TO REMEMBER EVERY DAME STORY IN THE NOVELS WITHOUT RE-READING, I WAS HAPPY.

WHEN I LEFT THE HALL, I WASN'T THOROUGHLY IN MY RIGHT STATE OF MIND BECAUSE I SPENT FOUR GOOD MONTHS PRACTICING
MATHEMATICS. I COVERED THE SYLLABUS AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOOD TO GO! angry THOUGH I DID MY BEST AND I'M SURE MY BEST WILL BE ENOUGH TO SAIL ME THROUGH TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

MATHEMATICS WAS THE ONLY SUBJECT THAT GAVE ME TOUGH TIME, I FACED ALL MY SUBJECTS SQUARELY AND INDEPENDENTLY AND RIGHT NOW I'M LOOKING UP TO GOD, EXPECTING HIM TO BLESS MY EFFORT BY PUTTING JOYFUL SMILE ON MY FACE AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF UYO, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU HERE I COME.

Good luck mate! You will sail through In Jesus Name, most of the other posts are talking about expo including some dumbaśs who knowingly filled in the expo for different subjects rather than attempt to do the thing himself. University really isnt for everyone.

Tolexander: It was fine o!

Expos were just flying in the air to the extent that if one opened his mouth, the expo would enter.

My subject combo were Math, english, literature and economics but i had to shade the expo answer i got for english, biology, physics and chemistry.

But hopefully by God's grace, my next year Jamb should be better than this.
When i first did JAMB now 12 years ago (omo I don old) it was like this. Maybe it should be scrapped after all

Lilimax: First class is fast becoming like pure water in Nigerian Universities. I am not moved at all....
One in 6 graduates in the UK has a First, so I dont think having 10 first in a University of probably 10,000 is something to be proud of, or regard as commonplace.

ProgrammingRe: Which Programming Language Is Best For Building An Hospital Management Software by ocheejemb: 4:05am On Apr 12, 2013
think about making it a web-based (or cloud as is the buzzword nowadays) project (especially considering how Nigeria is, electricity, security, etc) and use a MySQl db backend and i guess a php framework like codeigniter for the frontend. In 2013, dont see why anyone should be building for a strictly desktop environment especially for hospital records where the data needs to persist for years and could potentially become huuuuge. its easier for a hospital to invest in a few client systems or evn tablets, than one server that needs to be up at all times.
You could also use MS Access if its just a database system, and can easily move that to the cloud using Sharepoint but im sure that will be expensive. Someone already mentioned Alpha5, ive come across it before but havent used it but ist seems quite handy too.
PhonesRe: What Is The Full Meaning Of MTN? by ocheejemb: 1:15pm On Apr 11, 2013
dulphines: The OP should have been more specific with his question. MTN could mean anything from
1. Microbicide Trials Network.
2. Minneapolis Telecommunications Network.
3. Mobile Technology Network.
4. Main Telephone Number or
5. Maintenance.

He should have asked of the meaning of MTN Nigeria or something more specific.
What other MTN could he realistically have been asking of?

bisidaniels: Ola has disappointed me in the area of her spiritual life. In the church she was very active preaching and doing youth work. By now she should be on the television spreading the word of God but we have seen nothing of such.

Career is not everything. What about the spiritual? Someone that was a mini-Pastor no longer even speaks about God any more.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Mat 16: 26
Are you saying she should forget about her degree and calling and become a TV evangelist? Is this the only way to serve God?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's First Flying Doctor Saving Lives In Nigeria- CNN by ocheejemb: 10:04am On Apr 10, 2013
jamesoluwasegun: I also attended Ola's church.
I agree, that she is now too worldly and has taken things of God with levity. A lot of her clothing is not modest. As a child she would not even wear trousers.

I would have expected more more her with regard to church activity as life is not all about your career.

My two cents
Sorry but being active in church isn't the only way to serve God.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's First Flying Doctor Saving Lives In Nigeria- CNN by ocheejemb: 9:12pm On Apr 09, 2013
fsb: 1. Na posters like dis that should be banned for lying...how many international /ISO accreditedhealthcare companies have you worked for - that you come here to say your experience began at 2nd year unless you're a registered nurse.
What does working for ISO accredited companies or whatever have to do with anything? It seems like you are an MD and one would have expected better from you.

Are you saying that any experience before your qualification is useless and invalid? FYI, Student Work Experience, Voluntary work and Internships are a very STRONG part of a fresh graduates CV in any field. Because its not utilised properly in Nigeria doesn't mean it isn't valued elsewhere.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's First Flying Doctor Saving Lives In Nigeria- CNN by ocheejemb: 9:05pm On Apr 09, 2013
The NHS isn't a hospital, its the government agency in charge of almost everything medical in the UK. The NHS employs not just doctors and nurses, but cleaners and accountants and lawyers and physiotherapists and IT guys and etc etc, just like any other organisation. So by saying she has 10 years experience in the NHS she isn't implying at all that that she has worked for them for 10 years as a doctor. Especially when she's also saying in the same breath that she was one of the youngest doctors at her time at 21/22 and is now 27 years old! When you present your CV, you embellish the high points of it to demonstrate to employers why you are a good fit for the job. If she has been exposed to the fantastic healthcare system that is the NHS since she was 14 why should this not appear on her CV.
