" Research has shown that kids raised by homosexual parents encounter more problems than those raised by heterosexual parents. " What false research is this? How many people have actually been raised up by same sex parents, compared to those of regular parentage? |
This article is in very poor taste. Very poor, one would expect better from Sahara but well, they are Sahara. This is a promo video, and advert for Lagos. All the places shown are in Lagos not London or New York or your village. Lagos is progressing, 50+ years of infrastructure decay on the one hand, and organic population growth on the other hand cannot be overcome in one day or even a few years, but Lagos is trying to overcome this, meething these challenges head on. Lagos is a city that one-tenth of Nigeria's population calls home, it is indeed one of the safest places in the country (as unsafe as it may be), and it is a place that with the right amount of funds anybody would love love love to call home. Yes, Lagos has slums, traffic and a shît load of other problems, Fashola and Tinubu did not cause these problems, Fashola is actively trying to fix them the way no other governor before him has. It would be stupid, in trying to increase revenue by wooing tourists and investors, to show them the slums of Lagos. Are they being invited to experience the slums or the splendour of Lagos? |
Its a promo vid to invite tourists and investors to Lagos. You want them to show traffic and slums? Are you not a dumb fûck? |
Food_consumer: I don't know how to explain this.,You sound like you are still a teen. I wouldnt worry about it. It will get to a point where you'll start putting on weight without thinking about it. Right know your body is foucsed on getting you to your optimum height. Just maintain a balanced diet, work out if you want as well. |
naptu2: BornoThe irony |
Nawtipet: Abeg! U can leave ur education and do business... Most successful pple of nowadays didnt go to scul... Even if u go to scul, it is only by luck u will get employed cos of nigeria z nw very corrupt and dey dnt give jobs...Ur kindda too young sha... U will need a mature elder by urside... Jst becareful... Trust no1... And be always thoughtfulIf you drop at now you stand the risk of writing like this guy. 17 is quite young, if you get into school now, for a course you are interested in such as Business Administration, you will be done at the young age of 21, with many educated friends and lifelong contacts! |
ooseven: "People for Nija": We want beta house, but money no dey to build and the ones for rent don jagajagaExactly, repatriate some of the money you earned abroad back home to assist in solving housing problems! Everyone is happy |
eGuerrilla: 9.86 million Nigerians living in the US?You dont think this is true? |
i think this is a good idea to encourage Diaspora Nigerians to own homes at home! There are probably schemes like this at home for home based Nigerians, which considering how the country is, arent available to just every Tom Dick and Harry. Abroad, its actually easier to run this kind of mortgage scheme! |
usmsam: The day I hear this man has done something nice and charitable, that is when I will start respecting him. He should leave all these photo shoots alone, grow up and get married, like his mates. He is a famous multimillionaire artist, at the very top of his chosen field, with two lovely children and a stable relationship. I'm sure he really feels unaccomplished because of your lack of respect for him. |
Omo....maybe theyll give him a bazillion dollars to come back |
anonimi: You obviously do not understand how government works in Nigeria. How will he get his own egunje if he does not "pay anyone to do that"So Its a misplaced priority for all tertiary institutions to enjoy uninterrupted 24-7 power? |
eko ileee: Funny how we blame the government for not supporting talented Nigerians with research and development funds, but N1.5 billion free research funds is sitting dormant with zero interest or any researcher to claim it for research.. |
Bull shít story....didnt Phone Swap come out over a year ago? So how is Globacom 'finding out' that Saka was in the movie. |
Beemer vs Kia...apt comparison...sure a Kia is nice and all and will get you where you need to go, but one second sitting inside a Beamer of the same year, engine capacity etc will show you why theres such a huge price differential |
yuzedo: Dis very pour riportin!!!Are you for real with this English or are you just taking the piss? |
Again a misleading headline from these joker mods who dont seem to read the post properly before putting on the front page. Without any facts and figures, any form of quantitative analysis, how can you come out and declare that Techno is the leading smartphone brand in Nigeria? It does make sense that they may become very popular especially if they open up a plant and can deliver acceptable quality phones for much cheaper prices, however this has not yet happened so declaring them as the leading smartphone (and not even mentioning Blackberry who are still the undoubted leader as far as Nigeria is concerned) is premature and unsubstantiated. |
but wait... do you people really expect that the Governor of the CBN should not have access to chattered flights and nice hotels? |
where do u people find these narcissits? this fool is only passable calling himself the most handsome guy on a 1million strong forum..hiss..as u were |
These GIFS killed me... This insincerenigerian of a person sha? How he read that piece of news which said the light rail is to start operations next month, and tried to turn it to a failure on LASG's part is beyond me. How you think theres any sort of rationale in comparing one state's administration's achievements to that of the Federal Govt is beyond me. |
Food is Ready...Franchise > Macdonalds even |
It is highly irresponsible for Nairaland to be putting unconfirmed rumours on the front page, considering how many Nigerian's visit the site daily as a source of information and news. Is this Linda Ikeji? |
p.josh:in 2013, you type something stupid on a computer on a website on the Internet and open your mouth to call Comp Sci / |
They refused Oshiomole, a man of the people, but they gave mandates to the likes of Ibori and Alamaesigha, |
50calibre: You are right, work experience superceeds degrees in some cases but if its your first job, then what counts is your qualification on paper.Yeah well I should have added for most courses. Apart from Law and Medicine which almost certainly set you up for life (if you are willing for them too even). |
javadoctor: Don't study architecture in Nigeria,2reasonsWould they download free drawings or have a biologist draw the plans for a skyscraper, a stadium, plan a town or city? Will Nigeria remain an undeveloped country for ever? Right now we want to build trains, we run to China. We want to do roads, we run to the Lebanese. We want to do I.T we run to Indians. We want to deploy National Security IT infrastructure we are running to the Isrealis. We cant maintain our factories, we cant even run our own refineries. Why is this so? |
50calibre: All courses are important some place else but in not in Nigeria. In Nigeria, most courses are useless. Science and technology isn't dead in Nigeria, rather Yoruba or other linguistics are dead in Nigeria.Thats where you are wrong mate. To work in a bank doesnt require a degree in Banking and Finance or whatever, it requires a university degree. Honestly, what you studied for your undergraduate degree (a decison you made when you were on average 16-17 years old) should not and can not dictate how you live for the rest of your life. What you did for 4 years of your degree, you will forget in 1 year of work. That is why work experience superceedes any fancy degrees at anytime. |
To be honest, there isn't any particular course that one should avoid at all costs, It all depends on you and what you have a flair for/ what you like. You could become extremely successful and wealthy off any course you chose to do. You might decide never to work with the said course either and be successful in something totally different from what you initially did. Or you could decided to become the world authority in that obscure field. Of course every course has its different employment prospects, so that is something worth taking into consideration as well. However there are several job roles which dont require expertise in any particular field of study. |
peleson: Don't study elect elect in unilag, mowete , mohammed n Co will make u hate u were very smart and brillianthaha Mowie, AY, Mohammed, Okoro, Okafor, Daikpor, Adelabu etc etc etc. We all endured under them but eventually it seems to have been worth the wahala, most of my exclassmates that I am in touch with seem to be working in good roles, and a lot of them are actually working as Engineers in Telcos, ISPs and even the Power sector.Truth is even though the course itself isnt world-class heck even continent-class, the fact remains we are still the cream of the crop within the country. |
CFCfan: I tell you. The entertainment industry in Nigeria is huge! Nollywood has to be amongst the highest employers of labour in Naija. Are you being sarcastic? The entertainment industry is not that hugh. Take music for example, how many musicians are comfortable to rich. They cant be up to 100. On the other hand how many doctors , bankers, lawyers etc are comfortable to rich? |
bory09: Theatre art: is just wasting of years to study theatre art when one will still finish and get to apprentice with an illitrateWhat an uninformed statement to make about Computer Science. Do you think a few weeks in a 'computer school' can substitute for 4 years of directed study in the most vibrant field today? The people who work in companies doing real computing, what should they have studied? Do you think its because they went to aptech for 1 month that they got thier jobs?Think before you talk. |
