Absurd! The man stole Billions and pay paltry sum! It is another way of legalising corruption. |
@poster, you are not in any trouble. Be a man. Talk to your fiance and let her know that you are a victim of seduction. Once you can get your fiance to understand what happened and forgive you, go right ahead and dare the idiot claiming to carry your baby to do her worse. If she wish, let her deliver the baby and drop it on your lap. Take the baby and dump the mother! She wanted to force herself on you by all mean and she is using the preg as the object of blackmail. I can't stand such a lady without making them regret their actions. If your fiance refused to forgive you let her be. But don't marry the impostor. Whatever her game plan. Marrying her may bring you a lot of regret. Better a child out of wedlock that marriage that is like a war zone. A word is for the wise. Time when women use pregnancy to trap men is gone. Any lady that shamefully do that must be exposed. For all I care, you might not be responsible for the pregnancy. As for you, learn to tie your kilimanjaro when next you are in a temptress haven! You are careless with your health and took a big gamble. You could have got a virus in the process. Thank God, it is a baby not AIDS. Good luck! |
Nigerians need to understand that Dora had been Minister of Information all these while. It is just that well are so blind to see. At NAFDAC, she was not the one doing the job. She had people in the lab, field, etc doing the real job. Her jobs involved signing papers, holding press conferences (talking tough and making orders). Isn't that what she does at NAFDAC? I am sure the people who wanted her out of NAFDAC knew she can't be minister of health if Prof Oshotimehin is on the list. The later is deeply involved in health matters and had experiences. Prof Dora is all about tough action. I wonder who informed her that propaganda would make Nigerian attain vision 2020. The woman was just interested in power. Her acceptance of that dirty job means she is power hungry. I don't pity her anymore. She would have been an instance hero had she rejected the post. She can always get a better job at international level. Seriously, what input will she bring to min of health when she is just a pharmacist? The ministry of health is not meant for drug alone. There are other agencies under it. I strongly believe it is a good decision to keep her away from the ministry as she would continue to interfere in NAFDAC affairs once there. Nothing with that except that it may get messy if the new NAFDAC DG had his own plan. Let us congratulate another AGIP minister for taking a post that didn't match her talent. More Microphones to your mouth, prof! |
For those talking about invasion, need I add that Only weak countries risk invasion? US invaded Iraq because it was banking on the support of the people, who are already fed up with saddam despotic rule. They underestimated the strenght of Saddam's special guards who were reported to be stronger than Iraqi Army. Saddam Hussain didn't trust his Army and so he bred verocious guard watching his back for him. When US and allies overun the town, these guard went underground, while the army surrendered to the invaders. It was these guards the mobilized people and trained others resist the occupation. Insurgency would have been avoided or at best minimized if US had consulted the opposition before invading the country. Beside, we all know that Arabs hate oppresion. And the manner they were oppressed by US army made it easier for them to turn the country to violence zone. US cannot invade Iran, NK because their leaders have the backing of the people. Beside attacking these two countries will result in a regional war that would have far reaching destructive consequences for everyone involved. Whatever way we see it, the happiest dead man in the world today would be Saddam Hussain! 1. He predicted that American would oppressed Iraqi. 2. He would be smiling in his grave watching the video of Bush, being stoned by a nobody. In fact he would have offered to pay Al zaidi for life. To the rest of us: to be for or against is not the issue. That the man was right or wrong is also not the issue. The issue is that the man had become a hero overnight. He had done what no man on planet dare to do(rightly or wrongly)! |
@Mr crackle, We all know what will happen if the shoe had actually hit Mr Bush. Killing him is not the journalist intention, else he would never have thrown shoes when bombs are cheap in Iraq. Personally, I view the incidence in two parts. 1. Bush made a grave mistake by going to Iraq at the time even his countrymen wanted to see his back. If it were to be any other president, Americans would have incited diplomatic war. We know that even Secretary of State can't be treated that way without American wrath. But this is Mr Bush, the president with all time lowest approval rating. I still wonder who was the idiot that adviced him to visit Iraq at this time. All in all, according to what I read, it is their customs. Iraqi customs. Even Talabani should have known that. At worse, the man would spend two years in prison (and come out a hero) while Bush spend the rest of his life regreting his costliest mistake. This is a lesson to all leaders worldwide. As for those who say Obj deserves same treatment, we all know that what happen when he visited Ekiti state as BOT chairman. @all, it is unfair to attack muza for calling the man a hero. The man was called a hero, legend by his people. Please check the updated Bbc news. Whether he supported it or not is another thing. I believe there is agreement in DISagreement. Let us throw aside sentiments while defending our opinions. |
@poster, I will not lie to you. It seem you are victim of Erotomania. It is a psychological disorder in which some assume that another person is in love with him or her because of some outward signs like glance, gesture etc. The object of your delusion my as well not notice you. But in your mind, you interpreted the fellow's physical reaction and accepting your gifts to mean she is in love! Please snap out of it before you hurt yourself or somebody else. The lady might be seeing you as Mr Nice Guy. Afterall she didn't beg for the gifts. Cheers! |
I just read on Bbc news that Arab rich men are now interested in buying the shoes. The bid price range between 70,000 dollars and 10m dollars! |
It takes alot of courage to do that. No matter what happen to him, he would respected in Arab Land for that act of bravado. Yes, he is the first and only one. The reaction from his employer and the people further illustrate how deep resentment bush had incured in mideast. I watch the video over and over, and I feel sorry for Mr Bush. For the first time ever, I emphatize with him. I think he shoudn't have made the trip in the first place. He kept his countrymen in dark about it until they heard the their president is been stoned in Iraq! What a disappointment! Yet, this man had been advised to stay at home till the he leave office. |
Aja ti yio sonu, ko ni gbo fere olode! |
I don't know how you get there. But if the two of you have withered the storm together to get here, then you must realize that the real battle is the battle of restraint, tolerance, and mutual understanding. Since you found her a muslim and then decide to marry her like that, you must realize that when you get married, the temptation to exert your dominance will spring up. You will want to change her way. I can assure you that if you attempt to force her to change, you will have trigger a conflict in your home. She will either resist you or begrudge you if she is forced. The two of you must have inter religious dialogue from time to time. Both of you should focus on positive areas. Listen to her and let her listen to you without aiming at changing one another. The biggest mistake couples in such marriage made is trying to dominate the discusion with the view to win over the other. An adult have independent mind. He/she can change his/her confiction without anybody's prompting. When you want to organize family prayer, both Alfa and pastor must be present, either together or seperately. But the two of you must be there! That doesn't mean you must go to mosque or she follow you to church. It is strictly family affair. I remember when my uncle kicked the bucket, similar arrangement was made. He was buried as his religion, islam, demanded. But his wife also brought her pastor to pray for him. The wife is xtain and he was muslim. When you start having children is another phase. I am sure you don't need that now. So I am skipping it. All I can tell you is that you can successfully manage that phase too. For now, you are not yet married, so you should focus on the present challenge. Cheers |
I'd got loads of Arabic pages Quran around me that are no more needed. I don't want to dispose them at the garbage bin. And I am tired of burning them. I live in an area where indiscriminate burning is frown upon. Over time, I have seen kids tearing pages of quran innocently. I often collect it from them for proper disposal. But right now, I need to do something with them. I need ideas and suggestions. |
I watched the video with compassion on Mr Bush. Honestly, in spite of his mistakes, Iraqi should be grateful to him for ending saddam's reign. If Iraqis can't unite to form a unity govt after saddam is no more, then the blame is on them not bush. Iraqis are obviously not prepared for Post Saddamic era, yet they were planning to oust saddam. Now that Saddam had been permanently removed, they are blaming their benefactor instead of rebuilding their land. They allowed al qaeda to turn their land to battlefield. I just pray they find a consensus candidate in their nexu election. |
A goodbye kiss to Bushy president. |
@poster, Pls pardon me. Why is it that everywhere you go, there would be a case of demon, alijanu? Just curious. I have been around for years and had not hear of a demon except in my text books. |
Well, well, assignment! While it is good, it is not everyone that can be emotionally honest. This is because, somewhere between birth and maturity, man would have underwent series of experiences that would shape his life for as long as he is emotionally handicapped. Yes, you have to know that emotional handicap is one reason many can't align themselves with their emotion. Until a man is honest to himself, he can't be honest to others. Certain factor hamper emotional honesty: fear, poor selfimage, ignorance, self doubt etc. A man with one of more of these will definitely be emotionally dishonest, sometimes, or everytime. |
To number 2, if no, not yet, why are you concluding that he is corrupt and running away from probe? To number 3: are you saying that police act is superior to Nigerian constitution? For instance, there is this idiotic public order Act being used by police to prevent peace rally. It had been around for decades. Yet, it contradict the constitutional provision for freedom of expression and association. The Nigerian police tenciously stick to it, until supreme coart ruled that NO LAW OR ACT OR DEGREE CAN OVERIDE THE CONSTITUTION. The same thing happen when INEC tried to limit the number of political parties in Nigeria. In short, police act can be ignored if it clash with the Nigerian constitution. To number 4; were you aware that Bode George probe started during Obj tenure, and that Ribadu himself recommended his trial? Were you also aware that it was Ribadu that publicize the fraud? If not, please google it up. As for fani kayode, their own corruption case were blown open during yar'adua tenure. At the time Ribadu was battling for stability, you don't expect him to be looking for fraudsters, and more evidence, do you? By the way, Bode George, Fani Kayode, Iyabo Obasanjo are on trial, they have not been conficted. They are walking the street confidently, and enjoying their loots because they know that this govt will eventually dump the case. Watchout! Finally you have not answer my question on how many people that Ribadu convicted had been found innocence. And how many of those he accused of corruption are clean? How many of obj friends had been CONVICTED. Even fg, in the light of 16b dollar power fraud, is still treating obj as a mentor! Why? |
@ebony silk, I was not online so I am just reading the reply. I observed he avoided comonsense so I had to highlight it again for him. My reason for posting that thread is to make him open up to his true nature. I have accomplished that. Need I help him fuel his fantasy again by wasting time to reply him? I don't normally bother with people like that until I find him spreading the gospel all round the thread. You never can tell who is reading so it is wise to protect those with fragile heart from that gospel. I am sure that the poster would know where to stand after reading that comment from him. A man is not hurt so much by what happens, as by his opinion of what happens. Emerson said : Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. The guy's thinking partern is manifested in the reply. My main concern is not him, but dozen of innocent young men reading his posts. That is why I don't think it is wise to let him spam the whole forum with his story of heartbreak. From my study of psychology, I can assure you guys that what he is seeking is sympathy. I hope someone will help him. |
That is Nigerian problem. Soon we will have min of Lagos, Min. Of Kano, Min of Jos, Min of Kainji, Lazy people! Guess what? When they get that, we would have min. in our respective families! |
@adam, If that is how you met your lady, it is no wonder why she dumped you. |
Adam doesn't seem interested in solution, he is just here win converts. You can't be asking for help while you keep denying the problem. Adam thought his problem is the biggest in the world but he is just a weakling. One heartbreak, and he had turn his back on God and humanity. I wish he know that I have seen worse than he experienced. Adam is like a student who fail his first class, and in return, turn against school and the society! If he need help, I will help him. But he is happy with his life. My take is that, he may find it difficult to attract a decent lady. While he think he is winning by using and dunping women that come his way, he must realize he is building house on the swamp. |
That is the wrong step in the right direction, my friend. Trust me, it will fail woefully. Lagos don't need special govt or special allocation. In all honesty, lagos is Richer than we are witnessing. When OBJ decided to withold allocation to Lagos in the wake of Tinubu's creation of new LG, Lagos didn't collapse. Workers get their salaries, and somehow, the man funded his programmes. Now that they got the allocation, the man at the helm didn't share the money anyhow. The result is the transformation we are withnessing. With a federal agency like (ministry of Lagos) we are going to witness the kind of useless crisis that FERMA had with LASTMA. Anyone who have sharp memory will attest to the fact that power struggle will be the only effect lagosians would feel. What we need is true federalism. |
Interesting, can wisdom be inherited? I doubt that! In a house of sage, we may also find a fool. Yes, children tend to fail to react to our expectations but it takes alot of discpline and consistency to arive at the promise land. Yet, as a responsible parents, the child must be tame, or else he become incontrollable. Let me give you an example, when a child insists he won't go to school, what are the typical response? 1. The parent force him to go; 2. The parent gave him extra money (and candy); 3. The parent agree to let him be; 4. The parent persuade him. Each of these option have consequences. And each consequence manifest much later in life. |
you made another valid point there, The banks care to find time to nurture the youths, Thye recognise that the system is nit perfect and theefore spend alot of money to build their workforce. Alot of time, the poeple who go employed in banks are mediocre at their best but eventually they become one of the best professionals. i wonder why a whole president would cry out so loud and condemn the system he is responsible to. What Nigerian youths need is propr orientation and not condemnation. |
@adam, I will take you up later, I guess i lost my last posting and i dont have time to write ong again, but i will do it when i am through, I may help sha, |
Africason, why must you be astounded? Please don't! I started teaching while in secondary school. I am not a professional techher though. I did it for fun. But I wen on to teach officially after my graduation. I left when the whole thing about NCE started. have engineering degree and therefore not qualified because i dont have NCE! I opted t do my postgraduate in Engineering rather than speding useless time sitting for useless NCe programme. Meanwhile those who have the certificates are busy soliciting help on how to meet the growing challenges in their course! I mean a teacher that can't solve the problem he/she is giving to his/her own students! That is something. Further more, in the course of my mentoring youths, I have seen alot of them accepting NCe and BEd not because they are qyalufied or have slighted interest in it but because they are not able to meet Jamb scores. They dont want to waste their life sitting at home so they chooce what was available. During their schools, they would be shuttling between one JAMB centre or the other without making any success of it to university. Eventually, time will cach up and they would gaduate, surprisingly with high grades! Once out of school, their first destination ios banks! they want to want in banck oil frms etc. You can magined the numever f them that actually found their way to banks, But those unlucky would have to resign to teaching anyway, and once n the job, their qualifiaction willl be put into question. While i admit that teachers cannot know everything, the truth is that he must be able o meet up to he curret challenges. The govt is not helping mtter by insisting on cerificates. first the education system should be decentralised. Enphasis should be place on performance rather than certificates. Some teachers, to my chagrin, (lectureres inclusive) d nothing in the class except dictate notes, talk and give you assignents! I dont expect that ind of method to yield anything positive. By the way, why are our so-called professors not be making names by their works? i mean by the number of invetions, researches and international works they are able to accnplished? Nay, they are known more for the strikes, and the tag "prof". Nigerians are just title crazy! |
It is amazing how things work in Nigeria. Few days ago, the EFCC launched an anti coruption campaign in Abuja. I watched helplessly as the past acheivements of EFCC were noted. I also noted that everyone on the podium agreed that EFCC need to take tough stance against corruption. This is not bad. Now consider the following facts: 1. All these past achievements were handiworks of Ribadu. I am yet to hear a single case of high profile corruption being concluded by the present leadership. 2. While the govt sing anti corruption mantra, the hero of the fight is no more safe in his own country, yet govt kept talking about rule of law. 3. The programme that was launched is to me another charade meant to divert public fund. It will be noted that Ribadu had earlier launched the same project under "Fix Nigeria" project during his tenure. Whatever happen to continuity? 4. @cre8tivity, muza, I have followed your fight against Ribadu and I thoroughly enjoyed your arguments, at least for academic purpose. I want to get a clearer picture of the whole message hence I would love you to answer the following questions: 1. Are you one of the victims of Ribadu high handedness? Where are you when Ribadu was the EFCC chairman? 2. What exactly did you mean by accountability? Had Ribadu been convicted of mismanagement of public funds? 3. When you voice your opposition against his refusal to wear police uniform, were you aware the case was in court? If he wear the new rank, he spoil his case in court, if he were the old rank, he violates the police law, so wearing mufti is the best for him. I am aware that advice came from his Lawyers. Could you tell me whether police law is supreme to Nigerian constitution or what? Even the millitary Laws know their limit. 4. How many of the seleted official conficted by Ribadu have been found innocence? And how many of Obj friends had been convicted after Ribadu left office? Please be honest in your replies. |
Adam, you are right to call it a day with the lady. God is kind to her! Meanwhile, have you ever bother to consult a behavoral consellor or psychologist? I am sure you need it since you don't believe in God. These are people that help with science and not religion. What do you think? |
Yes, it is the fault of the woman for marrying money instead of a man! Didn't she know this man before they married? Why is she pretending all is well when she gave the opportunity to pick a real man? She is a lesson for women who think money come first in their relationship. |
Good question! That is what he should be talking about instead of covering his own failure. I remember that obj started the campaign abroad. Other prominent Nigerians have followed suit. It is a shame they are passing the blame instead of fixing the problems. The problem is complex but can be solved. For instance, why on earth would FG laid the foundation for Polytechics discrimination and still expect people to enrol there? Govt need to solve the HND discrimination with sincerity. Also where are the Technical schools that ought to absorb the youths? Some of them are now secondary schools! Then this problem of engaging NCE, B.ed holders as the only qualified teachers in our schools is a problen of it own. We all know that in the last 10 years most of candidates enroling for NCE, B.ed are those who could not meet the JAMB scores and have no passion for education! I have seen teachers running to their friends to help them solve questions they intend to give their students! I know, because I have been engaged by some of these teachers too. I once visited my uncle who works at a private school. I observe two women are with him that day. He was teaching them primary 5 maths! I initially thought they are adult education students. But when they left, I asked my uncle about them and he told me they are teachers! Concidentally, I took a friend of mine there to see if my uncle can help submit his cv. He had Bsc, and MSc. My uncle told me even with phd, they won't employ him unless he had NCE, or B.ed or PgdE! Yet, the same system comfortable with B.ed teachers that can't solve primary 5 maths! |
There is no way you two will keep open mind and would not enjoy the moment of anger. You are lucky. |
I quite agree with that line of thought. You know when you don't tell people you are angry, the other fellow will just assume that you are loving it and will continues to hurt you! Anyway, I want to see how angry you can be, So when next you are angry, please use webcam so I can see your angry face! |
