And in other news; there's widespread speculation that God almighty has remanded the wife of the president in critical condition in a German hospital as a result of the wanton stealing of Nigeria's common wealth by her husband and his band of crooks. A source within the presidency who doesn't want his name in print told our reporter 'the heart of the president remains hardened like Pharoh's of ancient Egypt, and it would take more than the death of his wife, that of the petroleum minister, and widespread flooding' for him to turn from his path of certain doom and lead the people through the path of prosperity. SMH for you GEJ |
As it stands today, the only type of war Iran can afford is propaganda war. Make no mistakes, an outbreak of an actual war between Iran and Israel isn't gonna be faught by both nations alone, the entire Mideast is gonna be engulfed. The Regional might of Iran was dealt a nasty blow with the fall of Gadaffi, Ben Ali, and Assad who is on his out. Those regimes were (and wld be) replaced with puppet governments with Washington rather than Tehran as the puppeteer. Strong regional powers like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan are more sympathetic to the west than Iran. With all these, US might not even need to lift a finger before Iran is crushed. And remember, there is growin decsention in Tehran over the state of the economy due to western sanctions. As the economy deteriorates, the internal apathy towards the Ahmadinajad regime grows, and an unpopular regime can't afford to go to war. At any rate, memories of the Six Day War are still fresh on the minds of the Arabs. Granted, things have changed, but need I remind anyone that Isreal hasn't been sleeping, just like the Arab nations involved in the 1967 war, it to was cought up in the arms race, and indeed Tehran can't risk being dealt the jockers it has in its military deck of cards. In all, Russia keeps her fingers crossed, praying for an outbreak of war so it could sell its gas and oil to Europe at any price Moscow deems fit, since suplies from the Mideast would be greatly disrupted if not entirely cut off! At the end of this whole drama, I see Iran backing down. The odds againt it are just too much. |

According to Bankole, “These leaders failed to mentor those who are to take over from them and what we have instead are sit-tight leaders, who decide to die in office.'' And you ,sir, are a stark reminder of the failed mentoring. |

'Nigerians should know that flooding is a global phenominon'... All too familier excuse.. Terrorism is a global phenon, curruption is a global phenon, poverty is a global phenon. Need I mention more? What asswipes we have at the corridors of power. |

DeLaRue: Oops...but people have been saying on nairaland that Yoruba, Hausa, Edo, Igbirra etc Billionaires are all crooks and their Igbo counterparts are all genuine, and industrious (yes o, that famous Igbo word!), with superhuman business brains etcBros no vex abeg. Take am easy.. Lwkmh |
As usual these folks think like they have no brains at all. How can we be talking about having gas pipelines leading into homes when our fire service department is at best redundant? Fix the fire service before thinkin about runnin gas pipelines through populated areas retards! |
I am so angry I hardly know what to say. FG all we are saying is STFU and do your job then when the job is done inform us it has! Nigerians are sick and tired and frustrated by all the talks, the kidnapings, the roberies, the unemployment, the insecurity, poverty, disease, globe trotting with a horde of wasteful personnel, corruption, illitracy, child abuse, decaying infrastructure, 5000 naira notes, aged pensioneers dying on queues to receive peanuts, terrorism, Mubi massacre, Aluu4, Apo6 (remember?), Farouk Lawan, Otedola, Tony Anenih, Bode George, Dimejo Bankole, Alison madueke, IBB, OBJ, Edwin Clerk, et al. WE ARE WORN OUT!! DO YOUR WORK!! |
Can't he save us the trauma for anoda day? No doubt he'd give the nation yet another heartache to surmount even though we are already inundated with the Mubi and Aluu4 masacre at the moment! IMO he should wait until get a we get a grip on our emotions before he gives us another uppercut.. |
Listen up Mr. The only reasonable thing anybody could have done to stop this was to call the police.. Sadly, in Nigeria, less than 3% of the population know the police phone number If you had tried to stop that lynching, you would have also been killed..
I beg to disgree slightly with you sir. U are right in a way and wrong in another. The manner in which you are treated my an irate mob in this parts of the world could depend largely on your apearance (that's the sad truth). I don't know if these guys actualy stole a penny, but somtime back, some dude who suposedly stole people's phones at gunpoint was caught where I live. Was in my apartment all dressed up for work early in the mournin when I heard some noise coming from the street next to mine, looked out the window and saw a mob lynching some dude striped nacked! Bolted out of the house, ran downstairs and made it to the spot just in time. On gettin there I saw a young dude, abt 5.9”, on d ground, beaten to pulp, with the mob callin for gas and tires! Some shabby lookin young boy standin behind the mob made a feeble affort to stop the agression. All of a sudden, some heavily built guy next to him (always used to see d guy driving an EOD) grabbed this little guys hand and was like 'shebi na u be him partner ba?' Before this dude could respond, the big guy landed him a slap and raised an alarm and atention was turned to the little man! He managed to break free from the big mans grip and made to escape (some potentialy deadly mistake I must say). As he ran, he was chased and bystanders threw stones and sticks at him shouting 'thief thief'! I couldn't belief what was unfolding right in front of my eyes! He was eventualy caught but somehow succeeded in explainin himself, after which he was told to get the hell out of the place. Meanwhile, someone had already brought a tire while all that was hapenin and the stage was set for MURDER! I then asked one of the guys what hapened and he explained to me that the thief and a partner, who escaped on a bike, just waylaid some young lady, unfortunately it wasn't their lucky day. That was how I steped in, stood in front on d guy who was lying almost lifeless on the ground, and begged that he be handed over to the police instead, so he could posibly provide some info that would lead to the capture of his alleged partner. I was able to convince them it was the right course of action. They agreed and the dude was taken to a police outpost just nearby. Couple minutes later, a patrol van arived and he was taken to the state CID. Don't know the guys fate as we speak, but just like evry sane mind on this forum has been sayin, nobody deserves to die in that manner.. So I kinda agree with you on your point that if anyone had ventured to intervene he wouldav been killed just as almost did the little guy in my naration, but on the other hand, it depends on your apearance and some luck perhaps.. Just finding it so hard to get over this incident especialy after listening to their song.. RIP brothers. |
I havnt been myself since yesterday after watching that video, moreso today after listening to that track! With no sentiments, I say that rap joint completely goes over the local charts! Dopest Naija rap I've eva heard after Dagrin, complete with superb lyrical content and melody! These guys wouldav generated such a huge wave for younger aspiring rappers to surf upon to stardom. Why they have to leave this way?? Right now I feel so disgusted being a Nigerian! Yet we accuse the white man of racism when they call us ANIMALS.. RIP my brothers who I never had the honour to meet.. |

Don't blame us. Meanwhile, in other news, the Drunken Fisherman made Michael Phelps green with envy, swimming from Abuja to Utuoke in a bid to rescue drowning fellow Aboregenes.. Elueme: Talk is cheap, keep talking till, your saliva runs dry. First, this topic is mischievous, it is a very big lie the way it is presented sensationally and very misleading. Secondly, the presidency never said that Nigeria is 2nd to America in the ratings of countries with improved corruption indices however, what the president said and which was based on a pure fact was that Nigeria is ranked second to the US amonged countries who have reinvigorated efforts at reducing the corruption menace( it's left for TI to tell if that effort is improving in the fight or not). He ( GEJ) went further to state ( during the interdenominational thanksgiving service) that the country awaits a new rating from transparency international to see if this will reflect on the country's position. These words are sharp contrast to what political jobbers in the opposition are preaching.. These jobbers thinking that most Nigerians won't think had twisted the president's statement to mean that GEJ said that Nigeria is 2nd to the U S in the fight against corruption .. These are different statement aparts and it will take good understanding of English language to decipher. Please house, join me in campaigning for the creation of a 'dislike' or 'trash' botton in addition to those we already have at the bottom of posts. If you are with me, 'like' this. We need to put coments such as this quoted in their rightful place. |
And what other 'notorious facts' were contained is his speech? How could Nigerians be sure if the entire speech wasn't based on 'notorious facts'? What a shameless govt. |
