winkmart:Tell them to take it to Lekki Conservation Centre, the end toll gate. Thats the closest and safest place for it with its natural habitat. And he shouldn't expect that N20,000 even if he was selling it for meat. |
Rofemiguwa, it will clear by itself. It's probably just hormonal from baby adjusting to so much stuff. if you're using Johnson's baby wash, stop and switch to Aveeno, Sebamed or Dove Pure and Sensitive |
This is getting ridiculous. You cannot ban without fixing infrastructure like roads and light, giving favourable loans and tax breaks to food manufacturing and processing companies and farmers. All that will create people profiteering (which is happening already) and horrendous starvation. And Buhari has done this before. When he got voted in, a pundit I follow said we should get ready for good queues and all sorts. And that was a pundit it who supported Buhari. He is trying to fix problems in the worst possible manner, at great cost to everyone. There are gentler methods which he can put in place so the next government continues his policies, just as he is continuing GEJ's policies. Local rice is almost the same price as the imported stuff at the supermarket we stop at and the markets I go to don't even sell it. Is local rice freely available and affordable? No. |
bebe2:Expect that guests will flock to visit you, rather than offering to host you guys to lunch even me, I'm telling people "please eat before you come and visit, no stew". |
mizlovette:Blood of Jesus, how did your mind leap to such conclusions? So because they resigned from their jobs close to the same period, they were fvcking? So because you and your co-worker are going home together daily and stopping to buy KFC on your way home, you two are banging? |
Jazzlite:Ah, I didn't know I was talking to an idio.t. Never mind ![]() You quoted a clause of the constitution and I was going to say something about clause and even state cases in Nigeria about it, but then you decided to get rude. Biko best your wife in future and then bring up that section in the constitution, let's see your lawyer defend you with it. T'care! |
Jazzlite:The report above states that she had marks of violence on her body. That meand fresh contusions. which means she got beaten recently. She could have died from a fall, subdural haemorrhage, a broken neck, even her heart could give out from stress, strangulation and much more. The fact that she was covered in bruises means her husband is getting the Manslaughter charge on his head at the least. If a man beats a pregnant woman, even the foetus she's carrying will show stress and heart palpitations. |
Acidosis:Such is the nature of Politics. |
buksaylor001:Sigh. You didn't read my comment, did you? Go back and read it. Slowly. Digest it. Then read your question and answer it. Okay honey? ![]() |
Calm down na, if you're in Lagos or Abuja it's not that bad. You can get almost any brand you're used to if you're on the island. And I'd probably take anti-malarial meds in Nigeria, but if you wanna shell out for some over there, sure. There's no need to bring a kettle id you're staying in a business hotel (Eko, Four Points, Protea, Fed Pal, Wheatbaker etc). What I would buy is tomatoes ![]() |
You should check Twitter: Fadeyi and Cele-Mile2 erupted in some disturbance but the army is there. People were turning back as touts started stoning cars at fadeyi. Got that pic from a Tweet from Fadeyi

Apple...pie...deep breaths...must remember...diet... Those pictures are lovely, sideways or not. |
You know, if things go south after marriage and you come back here to complain (Even if you hide behind a new moniker), do you know the first thing everyone will ask you? "Did you are any signs of this behaviour before marriage?" Let that sink in... |
mizzochocinco:See wisdom! This truly is the solution to every marital issue. Husband: (hmmm let me ignore my wife and message that cute single corper at my office. Her chest is perky!) The next day....Husband comes home, sees a ripped young fellow, with melting brown eyes lined with curly lashes. Husband (in alarm): "who's this??" Wife: "that's Ibong/Tunde/Nedu, our new houseboy. You know you're always on your phone at night and I needed help to fill up the gen and queue for fuel." (Houseboy bends over, muscles bathed in a light sheen of sweat, turns to smile and shows his perfect white teeth. Wife sighs softly. Husband sucks in big stomach). Husband: "well I can change my bloody gen!" (Throws away phone, young corper and all other distractions) THE END ![]() |
sheweezy:Medicine cannot accurately describe each human being's body. All the things doctors say and even the Babycenter some people use as a bible, are more like guidelines for what to expect for the average child, rather than rules in stone. Baby E never showed a single symptom of teething except drooling and she would run a temperature once, at night (our bottle of Tylenol is there, full after 1 year. We are going to give it out to anyone who asks for it). But now she's cutting 4 teeth and the fever lasted 2 nights plus she got her first cold (at 10 months+). |
Rhukie, thanks for that awesome breakdown. How much will the company charge to service it? How much is the premium? |
Tearoses, ronald4lif and anyone else, Please don't use any Nigerian celebrity to attempt to reason about marriage. I don't wanna say much, but if you knew just a quarter of their shenanigans, you would have beaten up Tiwa Savage and Teebillz for making you waste your mb mentioning their names. Even the Nigerian celebrities with "wonderful" marriages give one a headache when you finally start seeing bits and pieces of the truth. Intact, anyone who is popular in Nigeria should never be used as a standard for morality or a rallying cry about anything in society. Unless of course it's hypocrisy. ![]() Some of the stories are slowly trickling out (you think Teebillz hasn't lived off other women in his past, you think Tiwa hasn't been a hustler willing to do a lot to get ahead? Actually, that was one of the things everyone liked about her: very determined to be a success). Infact, just pray for Nigeria. This corruption we are fighting started from our homes. The most important question one should ask your future husband or wife isn't about "who's gonna wash the dishes" but "how much do you earn". You need to be able to match their lifestyle to their paychecks and accept the level of hoe-ism you can live with. Someone who will do anything for money is someone you're never going to able to make see reason. When a man has played his good looks towards sleeping with and driving the car and full access of cash for several women, what equality do you wanna preach to him?? When a woman has also slept with her father's agemates and spent more money than you have seen in your life, how do you expect her not to be scornful that with your basic salary, you are lording it over her ![]() But a few hea |
Acidosis:Really? Deep down inside of you, that's the truth? Very well then, ignore my comment. Apologies and take care of yourself. |
Acidosis, In the past, I felt there was a young man behind this moniker that was polite (rare on this site). However, this is an important issue, this is someone' personal life and safety. And you seem to have forgotten your manners and are here making mocking comments trying to score cheap points with a very digusting crowd (who don't know where to draw the line). This poster (if she is real) is not one of your usual sparring partners on this section. She does not need this from anyone. Please decide whether or not you wish to turn this thread into a typical Family Section brawl or decide if you want to behave like a decent person and take that brawl to any of the numerous threads opened specifically for that sort of wrangling (you know the usual posters, male and female whom you guys like to be exchanging "pleasantries" with). You can ignore this, but take a minute and think about what I've said. And I would say the same thing to any female poster who is also bringing her fight to this thread: go to your usual playgrounds and continue there. This lady needs genuine help, not nonsense. I will modify this comment if you choose to modify yours. Thanks. |
Cheund:Smiling and behaving wonderfully does not stop abuse. It is normal for a human being (Even a woman and a wife) to be upset about things. It is NOT normal when the person you are upset with lashes out at you violently for justifiable reasonable God-given emotions. All these his smiles is because whatever maggot that eats his brain is not affecting right now. The next second may change it and if you want to spend the rest of your life on tiptoes and occasionally getting beaten up the way you decide to be a human being, please ignore me and listen to everyone saying that his violence is your fault. Every human being (Even a woman and a wife) is allowed to get angry but nobody has the right to express his anger in a violent manner. If your husband is a hot-tempered man, if it was truly all about Anger, he would be fighting the policeman on the street. But he isn't, he's acting like a gentleman outside and dealing with you inside. That is Pretense and it is NOT normal. If anything happens to you, you will become gist for max a week and we will all forget and move on to the next sensational case. But your children, your friends, your mother, their lives are almost destroyed. Reflect on that. |
Well, first and foremost, take a deep breath. Then pray and ask God to give you strength. Go buy a new sim, register it today. Do you have a trusted friend or relative to stay with? Get one. Someone with space. Start packing quietly, just clothes and the necessities for you and your kids. Anyone ask, mummy told you to visit (tell your mum the lie). Ask immediately on any platform and from everyone is there is a place to rent. Small, 2 bedroom, around your office. Say it is for a cousin. If you can move back in with your mother, that will be best. Inform some of your friends and one trusted person in position of authority (Nigerians like Pastors so tell yours). Do NOT let anyone convince you to stay. They will gossip but so what? Had gossip killed anyone? If they cannot say it to your face, who cares? Once you get all these in order (I'm giving you a week to move out so Saturday your kids should be at your trusted friend's place), call a family meeting betweent your mum, his parents and do NOT let your husband know. Inform them that you're moving out for your safety and sanity. That you want to stay alive to raise your children. That when your husband comes to his senses, they can look for you. Do not let them convince you to stay. His parents will prioritise their son's welfare over your welfare. So do NOT allow them convince you to stay. Leave immediately after that meeting and switch your sims. I don't want your husband knowing where you are for 3 weeks. He can speak to you on the phone (call him and let him greet his kids, politely say "please excuse me" and drop the phone if he starts insults and threats. Save any messages threatening you). I'm asking you to do this because your husband is no longer a husband, no longer a father and no longer even a son. He has lost himself and doesn't even know it. And you cannot tell him and cannot save him. So prioritise your welfare and that of your kids. If and when he comes back to his senses, you have work to do on your marriage but he has even more work and forgiveness and trust to earn back. |
Silvofitz:There's an Office of a Public Defender in Osun state. Since she's not legally married, things are slightly more difficult: she may not be able to get childcare payments for the child and custody will be tricky. She will most likely have to go to Customary court (which is the only place that recognises Traditional marriage). Her best her is to find the Office of Public Defender, but more importantly, try for an amicable custody agreement without the courts. She needs to explain all this to a lawyer and there are usually lawyers hanging around the courts looking for clients. All she needs to do is explain her case and get advise then decide if she wants to hire one. She needs a source of income coming in (a woman who is unemployed can get childcare from her legal husband, I don't know about a woman who is not legally married. And that can be used to keep her away from the child). |
Rhukie:Could you share more please? |
Eketem:If you removed Bride Price, he would still find another reason to beat his wife and push her head down to the floor. Even men who did only Registry marriage are refusing to do house chores. And my culture, my bride price was small (we are not Yoruba). I will allow bride price to be paid on my daughter. It is a cultural thing and I am someone who wants to encourage parts of her culture to live (language and customs). We were brought to love the little parts of our culture we knew (back I buy statues and artworks that people see as fetish). If I had seen any case where a bride price determined how a man treated a woman, I'd be all for abolishment. But it's not. When men complain about money, they speak of the whole sum: schoolfees, dates, gifts. Like Tearoses said, it starts way before the wedding day. Men will always find an excuse not to do something they don't want to do. It has more to do with their upbringing. I have a mother who will expect a DiL to assume a traditional role when she comes to visit (kitchen-wise) whilst my MiL has told me "you're only in the kitchen because I'm here and what people will say" . My brothers are a perfect example of different mentalities: one will refuse to wash his own plates after eating, another one washes up after his girlfriend and has vacuumed her house before without dying. One feels I'm too modern in my ways (and hoped marriage would change me), the other said I was very traditional (and hoped marriage would make me loosen up).Even in our parents' time, some father's cooked (my dad taught me how to get eggs and he would be in his 80s) and some fathers only saw their kitchens when they went into the place to change a lightbulb. |
SJS is a reaction to medicine and not communicable. It's very rare and the easiest way to describe it is that your body is attacking itself due to something you took. Like a really bad allergy or side effect. Takes your skin off and destroys stuff. Don't take any herbal preparation you're not sure of and be careful buying drugs and taking concoctions and pray. Because there's no prediction of whom gets it. |
cococandy:Thanks, ladies. We are going to watch her tonight and pray for an improvement. Hugs |
ifyalways:Madam, please have you seen this site? http://nothingtodoinlagos.com/ Someone sent me a link asking if I wanted to go Kayaking in the Lagos Lagoon! I don't know if my liver is that strong but Himself is already excited. And they have other events they organise. Where was your hike? My longest hike was the Grand Canyon, south rim. And there was this weird hike in the middle of nowhere, where I told my brother "dude we are black, if a serial killer happens upon us, we won't make it. Turn back now!" |
beyedew:Any other symptoms? Discharge from his eyes, runny nose, rashes? I don't think it may be the food causing the temperature. Monitor him and if it continues, Monday go to the hospital.HTH |
Boss13:Commissioners for the Environment is a post to reward a crony or family member. Even the governor has no idea what that department is supposed to do. So, nothing will change. |
Quakertellicus1:Even though we say this, the upper echelons of government are still one of the highest paid in the world and their numbers and retinues are large. The man on the street is being forced to pay for his stvpidity in keeping quiet through all the decades of waste and theft whilst the people who enshrined this behaviour are going scot-free. In a country with a largely honest citizenship, there would have been a revolution by now. But the average Nigerian knows in himself that if he were in government, he'd do worse than those present. |
tearoses:I can't get over that story. What benefit was it to them to sell it?? The energy used in scrapping off and re-icing it. |
