Alphabeta is a registered private auditing firm and tax consultants. Why is it a 'dark agency'? They work for some S/Western States like Lagos and Ogun States, Bauchi , Bayelsa States, Federal Government and some West African Countries. YorubaLord: I disagree. Because we have graduates that work for a 'dark agency' doesn't mean we shouldn't speak out against their wrongdoings. I think he's (Makinde) gotten a long term strategy and ulterior motive to break the stranglehold of the Cabals against which the whole SW has been held for quite sometime.
For us to progress, we need this. I fully support him. |

Kano is fairly well developed especially Kumbostu, Dala, Fagge, Nasarawa and Kano Municipal LGAs. For centuries ,Kano has been more developed than other parts of the North and it will be misleading to judge the North based on what's obtainable in Kano. The good news is many States in the North have started serious developmental programmes. Anyone who visited Potiskum, Damaturu, Gombe in 1990 and revisit these cities in 2020 will see remarkable improvement. The present security architecture in Nigeria can not work. If it were working, there would have been no need for extra security outfit like Amotekun.
We need to decentralize so-many things in Nigeria especially the police service. Each State should have it's own police to protect their residents. |

1) Who are the Yorubas raining insults on you? Are the opinions of Nairalanders like Sarrki, Babaramota1980 or helinuse the same as opinions of the Yoruba people? 2) Who is drumming for fake love? Different socio-political groups from the SE, SW, SS and NC are expressing their views on a home grown security outfit and you referring to that as drumming support for fake love. Igbos and Yorubas are not fighting and are NOT enemies, why do you think they must not have a common stand on an issue affecting the security of a part of the Country. Kfed4ril: Bro I know this shouldn’t be a tribal issue but you can agree with me that the guy is right? People like you judge other people (mostly in negative ways) solely based on the tribes they come from. You lack the capacity to independently asses the behavior, actions and inactions of other Nigerians based on the content of their characters. The issue is that such opinions if kept to yourself is fairly harmless but you come online to whip up negative opinions about other Nigerians based on their tribes. Such actions promote hatred against innocent people and it's a great threat to the peace and unity of Nigeria considering the large numbers of people that come to Nairaland to read and be influenced by such harmful remarks. You are one of the greatest (known) haters of the Yoruba people on this thread. MelesZenawi: National unity and security because of the Illegality of amotekun.

This is a security issue and NOT political parties issues. Yoruba people belong to PDP, APC, Labour and several other parties. Yoruba politicians in PDP and PDP fans/supporters like Ex- Gov Gbenga Daniel, Olu Falae, Ex- Govs Ladoja and Mimiko, Fayose, Akinwunmi Adeshina, FFK, OPC, Afenifere etc supported GEJ such that PDP scored about 40% of the votes casted in the SW in 2015. Yoruba politicians like Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun, Osinbajo etc supported Buhari and they had about 60% of the votes casted. In the 2019 elections, PDP won the presidential election in Ondo and Oyo States and narrowly lost in Osun State. Overall, the PDP got more votes in the S/West than in the S/East. The incumbent Governor of Oyo State and the main proponent of the Amotekun security outfit, Gov Seyi Makinde belong to the PDP. It was a fair deal. You can open another thread directing Nigerians on who to handle over power to in 2023 but don't derail this thread sir. Cherez: But bros, the guy is telling you the truth. The SW has always been so selfish in its political desires. I thought most SWerners were against GEJ for bad governance but the way they support every ill of this govt from Sowore's detention to Hanan flying presidential fleet to rigged/violent elections, you will understand it is for selfish reasons. Let's assume the Igbos are terrible, so what about handing power to the SS to complete their tenure? See, the SS, SE & NC are usually rational with their decisions |

The Nigeria that IBB, Obasanjo, Buhari, Gowon ,Abacha, T.Y Danjuma and most of their Generation saw and are still seeing is the Nigeria of today in which there is a very strong Central Government dictating the pace of development of the Country.
The problem however is that their prescribed model has seriously failed to meet the needs of the Country, the greater problem is that they are resisting every attempts to change the unworkable system. |
Politics › Re: South Leaders To Malami: Why Is Amotekun Illegal & Hisbah Legal? by oyatz(m): 5:33am On Jan 15, 2020 |
It's not a tribal issue (as Tribal bigots like you can not think beyond tribalism) but the fight for the right to secure each federating unit. Each Regional ethnic groups drumming support of Amotekun are doing so because the establishment is in line with their stand on True Federalism. The South-South and the North Central are also in support showing that this is not Yoruba Vs Igbos affairs. Enugu State constituted Forest Guards and Benue State had Anti-Open grazing Marshall. The main thing here is that the Federalism in Nigeria is been tested and challenged. J111333: When there's a fight for the SE, they face their fight but when there's one for the SW, they hide behind or look for a gang to help them. Everyone knows that if this amotekun issue is an Igbo thing, Yorubas would've mocked and abandoned them but since it's their thing, they have suddenly remembered there's a word like Southerners.
The deceit and pretence must stop this year. |

Based on your logic, you just posited Igbo can't develope their homeland because they aren't in the mainstream of political power, . . .but they could develop Lagos which is on other people's homeland and hundreds of kilometers from their ancestral home? Igbos, Ijaws, Efik, Hausa, Fulani , Urhobos and several non-indigenous tribes living in Lagos all contribute to the development (and undevelopment) of Lagos. It is very wrong to arrogate the development of Lagos to the Igbos. The investment of T.Y Danjuma, Aliko Dangote, Ishyaku Rabiu and Dantata in Lagos are greater than the investment of Igbos in Lagos, yet I haven't Northerners calling Lagos 'noman'sland' or claiming to have developed Lagos. knowledgeable: No, no, . We are wise, we didn't solely develop Lagos, but Igbo presence & dynamism formed a critical component to the present day Lagos mega City status... which have started to overflow into Ogun State. Simple logic will tell you, the overall impacts of a population group representing 30% or better of overall population of a given space (be it in economy, trade and commerce, real estate, transportation, population etc). Now, if you deduct 30% or more of that population from the whole, you will end up with 30% less of the overall pontential of Lagos and subsequently Ogun State as Lagos and Ogun are symbiotically related.
Now coming to the question of why the Igbos always claiming to have developed Lagos, while their region is underdeveloped?. You know, this is one of the numerous reasons why Nigerian history is not taught in Nigerian shools and folks like you are lost in so many whys... things are the way they are, but I will try to answer this particular question with questions and I will leave it at that.
1). Why are the Igbos always sacrificing their lives in clamouring for their own independent state or regional government that will see their population from various parts of the country (Lagos/SW) reduce to its minimum level back into their region?.
2). Could massive Igbo migrations into Lagos/SW and other parts of the country rooted in the conspiracy between hausa-fulani/Yoruba right after the civil to neutralize/pacify the capacity and capabilities of Igbos through the most strident fedral government policies of marginalisation...20pounds, dividing up/ caving up their region, no Sea port/river port/international airport/no road/no fedral government presence/no industries/no rail roads/hundreds of army, police check points on the worst roads/ accidents that take thousands of Igbo lives yearly on Lagos to SE roads..... I can go on and on and on.
3). could it be that Lagos as we know it today in part came about by successive fedral government set policies right after the civil war drawn from those above aggregates mentioned in #2?.
Finally, can the Igbos or any group actually develop their region if they are not in the main stream of political power that doesn't respect the already tilted constitution that supposed to dictate how everyone live?. |

Your analysis is misleading. 1) Revenues payable to the Nigerian Customs Service are made in Naira and NOT dollars. 2) Fluctuations in the Foreign exchange rates is outside the mandate of the NCS. For example, if you make #15 million profit in 2014 and #20 million profit in 2018. It's an improvement in your business. However the conversation to dollars may prove otherwise but it's not within your powers to decide that. GamalNasser: You see why I maintain you are not smart ? Did I say dey generated above 1 trillion in 2014 ? In 2014 the generated 978 billion naira which was equivalent to 5.9 billion dollars then and your failed Buhari is generating 1.3 trillion naira which his equivalent to 3.6 billion dollars today ..I hope you can rally your brain to see my point this time bro |

Happy claiming! 1) BANKS that are PLCs have no tribes. Many people from different tribes and even foreigners have shared in these banks. 2) Every bank has Boards of Directors which doesn't necessarily mean they are the owners of these banks. Some of these directors are actually employees of the companies that have substantial shares in the banks. 3) Work for your own money, invest in banks or any Company and stop this silly tribal claiming of banks. It makes you look uneducated. Anambralstson: You claimed GTBank as a Yoruba bank when it was clearly showed that US firm control the highest shares on the table, while that of Zenith bank it was Jim Ovia that was listed as the leading shareholder, First Bank and Union bank almost share the same history if you claim First bank, Igbo will claim Union bank. |
