ManirBK: There was wide jubilation in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State after Nigerian troops repelled an early morning attack. Daily Trust had reported how soldiers forced Boko Haram fighters out of the town.
The insurgents had reportedly stormed the town around 6:35am, shooting in all directions. This had created tension among residents but troops reportedly engaged them in a heavy shootout, forcing them to beat retreat. A security source told our correspondent that the attackers could not stay up to 30 minutes. “I can confirm to you that Boko Haram insurgents made an attempt this morning but it was not successful, the troops on the ground in Damboa town thwarted it immediately,” the source said. A member of Civilians Joint Task Force, told Daily Trust that some locals sustained gunshot injuries at Kala, a suburb village near Damboa town. “At least 8 persons sustained gunshots wounds at Kala village near Damboa town.” “The troops did a great job and as we speak now, there is jubilation in Damboa now,” the source said.

They have killed so many people and so many of their members have also died, they ought to know that they can NOT win this war. Boko Haram can NOT use military forces to compel the people to accept their rule. |

Though, the APC Chieftain may have his own short comings as regards the situation of the country and his vital role in the emergence of President Buhari as the President of Nigeria. I am only pointing out your inability to use the same standard to judge others especially Tinubu on the #Lekki shooting. For instance you said, 1) Peter Obi is not involved in the Awkuzu SARS murder because there's no evidence linking him , even though he was the sitting Governor at that time. 2) Curiously, you are insisting that Tinubu, who is neither the Governor nor the C-I-C of the Army ordered the Army to shoot protesters at Lekki even without providing any evidence. *The standard that you use to declare someone guilty or innocent is NOT the same. Calabar speak Efik language. Efik, Ibiobio and Idoma aren't really difficult but because there are few people that speak these languages, we don't get used to them and thus appear difficult. Hausa and Yoruba apear to be easier because; 1) We meet many speakers of these languages in our daily lives. 2) There are the languages of commerce and entertainment for many people. 3) Many non-indigenes live amongst themselves and these non-indigenes somehow pick up these languages. |

Thats why there are isnt up to 100 none Igbos worldwide who can speak Igbo fluently This is a false theory sir. Even by my mere association with many Igbo guys and short relationships with two Igbo ladies coupled with my inquisitive mind, I can pick up some words in Igbo language. If I deliberately set out to learn the language, I will understand it but may not be able to speak it well. |
