It didn't have to get this far.

The problem at times with NL is that people give advice based on the bad experiences only.
We live out the good, those that succeeded.
Nway.its a mindset.

igetsbizy: Personally, I just finished my NYSC and still searching for a job so things are really hard also I am in a relationship with a very financial cautious/high maintanace lady. I cant begin to explain the embarrassment, failed promises and let downs because of lack of cash got better...
how just how do u maintain somebody when u got no income of ur own?
i am sure ub r in debts for that woman's sake and u r losing it.
understand this please, if she isn't aware of the pain she's causing you, then she aint good.Do i blame you? yep for keeping a girl you cant afford.
she will still live u for a richer guy when some fellows come for their loans.
RomanceRe: Issues With Dating Ladies In Early Twenties... by pendo89(f): 9:59pm On Jul 26, 2012
I don't see any probs here except the deadline. Up to 18 months is being rigid
You don't just meet a 21 year old and hit it right away.A good relationship starts with friendship and the friendship takes time to build.
Now if u choose to speed cz of the deadline, you will skip some crucial steps and ul only have urself to blame.
From friendship you graduate to lovers. This is another stage where you will encounter 2 types of love.
Puppy and dog love. Puppy is simply immature love and dog love is mature.(just terms)
Lastly, after uv become stable and mature,u become engaged.(if u want to). Now that may take a while as u prepare for marriage.

Now why do u assume that all these stages of a relationship must be accomodated within the 18 month period?
We have not even considered the fact that the girl could be in school. And do u know that at 20 a girl is not only thinking about love, but career, future etc.
Space must be given for each of her desires to mature fully or else ul find urself with a halfbaked grumbling and regreting lady.
That deadline is unrealistic, but don't be to hard on urself.
Find that young girl and live freely.A good relationship doesn't run on deadlines.

yes they are esp 'if u haven't got your life together.
you cannot see value in another person if you don't see it inside you.No one can waste u except you allow them too, by either compromising too much or stooping too low.
And u know what causes us to stoop low? cz we feel inadequate or inferior and weak. Our strength lies with the other person.

If u are strong ,you will not feel wasted cz any girl u meet will be coming to add value to what u already got.
Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'd like to accept my share of the responsibility in allowing this thread to degenerate to this point.

As a moderator, I completely detest editing other posters' comments; at worst, I hide them. I have only edited only one poster's comment since I became a moderator, and I will never do it again.

We have all aired our opinions and grudges. Let us now return to topic for which this thread was created.

If anyone abuses or uses foul language in addressing another, I shall hide your posts.

Please forgive me for causing such an embarrassment. It'll not happen again.

Thank you.

safarigirl: all you gotta do is work at one of the telecommunications companies to influence the votes, but since most Kenyans don't, it won't mean sh1t. They have no manpower, resources or even brains to pull off the Naija style, how many people in Kenya and even Tanzania have dstv talk less watch BBA? I'm sure they're not even as much as those in Lagos and Abuja alone, so how do they plan to spread manpower? Mtchew, Prezzo's just a tiny ant in the way. Keitta sef won't garner as much votes. Ghana, Liberia and ROA are Keitta's only hope, and even Lib sef isn't a sure bet.
I am not a fan of BBA infact I have never sat down to watch a full show. But I follow this thread and laugh at the way u guys hold it BBA close to heart.
But ur facts are wrong dear. Have u ever been to Kenya? Which year was that? Did u say DSTV? The local rural remote tout has one installed in his rural home.
Infact the joke here is 'it's very easy to find a poor man living in a mud house but with DSTV installed.
DSTV is as common as mobile phones esp in Kenya. More nigerians have access to DSTV cz the nigerian population is very huge. Population determines statistics in a very big way.
What about kenyans working in Telecommunication companies? Did u say that most don't? Telecommunication?? Do a lil research.
It's like me saying do nigerians watch tv? how do they when they don't have electricity?' See how ignorant that sounds?
May the best girl/boy win is all I can say.
CelebritiesRe: Goldie Apologises To Nigerians by pendo89(f): 8:39pm On Jul 22, 2012
cog1: As for saying Kenya is developed,I don't know. What is
The index for Kenya on the map of developed countries if they
Are so developed?!!!!! Why are they still rated as
"developing"? The fact that obama's father is from kenya does
Not in any way mean anything, because he had little or no
Serious r/ship with his father and was brought up in
Hawaii by his mum's parents ,after his mum separated
from his dad when he was only a year plus!!!!
As to the so called "we are Africans" mentality, the disparity
In our cultures and years of living under oppressive and
Suppressive leadership both colonial and homebased have made
Us antagonistic to one another.Nigerians are even very
Homely and welcoming eg see the way Nigeria absorbed Ghanaians
In the 70s when Ghana was nothing to write home about!
The same Ghana is now crying blue murder over the sight of
Legitimate Nigerian businessmen/women doing verifiable
Businesses in their country! Are those scammers and
drug peddlers too?!!!!
Check RSA the same hate story, yet,Nigerians were among the
Loudest criers for Mandela's and RSA's freedom and even cash
Donations from Nigeria exchanged hands during his election
Campaign process.
So,all the drugs being peddled all over the world are by
Nigerians only? No Kenyans,SAs,ghanaians, etc are involved abi
Or is it that whenever it involves Nigeria, the story is
Magnified and embellished?!!!!
There's a disconnect in this whole "we are Africans" mentality
and I'm not buying it any longer and other African
Countries have also apparently not adopted the idea !!!!
I don't blame them,I blame Nigeria that has made so much
Money and refusing to wipe out all these corrupt leaders so
We can have some development!
Blessed day.
First of all,Just so you know,Kenyans are not pro-obama.Nobody sings praises of Obama at all except the lakeside community his father came from. And our politics are too dynamic and crazy but what is on media is soo stale. All that hysteria went down before he even completed a year in office.

Secondly,Sub-saharan countries are referred to as 'developing Nations'.That includes Nigeria and Kenya. We are not comparing GDP here since that is what you will bring up.GDP is not the only parameter used to gauge a country's developing progress.
I could list 20 but that is not what thread is about. We differ in the 20 but bottom line is 'we are both 'developing'. Infact you and I will probably die before we join the list of 'developed nations'

I can't talk about the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria cz I dont know the source of the conflict. But I am sure u can see how hate makes it difficult for Africa to trade with itself. We impose rules and conditions that don't favour a neighbouring nation wanting to do biz with us while other 'developed' nations are busy trying to do away with them.

Am glad ur seeing what I was trying to highlight. One person messes up and the whole country suffers. That is what media does. Now if you don't take time to go deep and research, get info from the ground you come up with biased conclusions.
What I can tell u is,my image of Nigeria changed since I joined Nairaland cz I read from the source.(nigerians themselves). If I chose to go by cnn, bbc, aljazeera African journal etc ? I may vow never to set foot there.

I am sure it's the same with you.You will keep assuming that EA is one big mara,cz wildlife is what they keep showing.

I want to believe we can tolerate each other. That is what I do.If you can't then I can't do anything but understand where ur coming from.

But I will never forget ragdollz and Mz Darkskin fighting about the 'phone'.The fonts used to fight that day almost brought NL server down.

So many threads would get locked whenever they sighted each other. grin grin grin Infact at one point I thought they were one and same person.

When I read such 'moving and emotional stories'cz they are soo many, I always ask myself 'Ok what is the lesson.

Some may nt be real but are aimed at bringing us to tears. Now I hate crying in vain.

If u read, cry and that's it, then what's the point?
Be generous cz u never know or drive carefully is what I love to imagine.

I am nt crying cz it's just a moving story
