Most Nigerians are too gullible and indolent to decipher what is fake or real.

Often time they run with the news ignorantly because it appeals to their preconceived mind set. Some run with it out of mischief. & senseless opposition.

Little wonder why you could go through a complete page of a thread with all comments leaning in one direction.... Herd mentality.

Now there are condemning the person that took his time to do his research whereas they have no alternative proof to his claim other than the vague video in circulation.

When they know you're progovernment in a matter, they're quick to assumed that you've being paid to support government position. Very petty human being. Their submission reminds of confuscus assertion that opined that "The gentleman understands rightousness, the petty man understands interest".. They always see others through their own self.
Again I ask who pays them also for discrediting the right government position?
My friend, go and sit down.
Why would those analyst only come out to analyze, prove and research only when there's accusation against the government but every thing the government says about her citizens are not researched by these same analysts? They'll rather lean towards the wicked government.
Family › Re: I Hit My Husband By Mistake by Psoul(m): 9:11am On Dec 10, 2021
sthar:
My husband and I have not had the best relationship. The past two years has been really tough for us, we've had to struggle to make this marriage work. Although we have two kids, My husband talks down on me all the time.

He calls me an ordinary female, a useless creation and believes he owns me. He believes women should not have a freewill and are properties to their husbands. He calls himself my Alpha and omega. I sometimes wish he would hit Me rather than say all sorts to me.
Last week he started as usual. He called me names and Went on to talk about how he would teach me a lesson someday. I really don't know what came over me. I slapped him.

I s.wear it wasn't intentional, I didn't mean to hit him. I thought he would hit me back but he did not. It's been a whole week and he acts like nothing happened. He goes about playing with the kids , he greets me and makes sure we have food to eat too , but it is so unlike him.

My husband always reports to my parents. He tells them everything I do wrong and they always end up calling a meeting. But this time he's silent , he doesn't want sex too which Is so unlike him. I don't know what to do , I feel like he's planning to hurt me really big. I want to call my parents but everyone would blame me. How do I tell the world I slapped my husband?
That is what we call psychological torture.
That silence will kill you faster than any other action the man would've taken.
He's not planning to hurt you anything.
He wants you to die in your own poison.
He will tell you that he is not angry ooo.
I am fine ooo.
You don't have to worry at all.
Give you money for food and do everything apart from having sex wt you.
That will send this piercing signal that all is not well.
The feeling of, what next is this guy planning will be the invisible torture that will drain all the blood out from your body.
You will just be losing weight and always afraid.

Madam, enjoy the fruit of your slap.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Quit This Job And Return Home? by Psoul(m): 4:38pm On Dec 09, 2021
55truth:
Should I quit this job and return home?

So I have been unemployed for a while until late last month that a friend gave me link to his place of work and I got the job. The pay is not good but I had to take it cos I was wasting away without any income.

Now I joined him in the city but he didn't tell me in his one room apartment, he has 3 other guys living in. I now make the 5th guy in one room. All of them have a girlfriend that still come to sleep in the same room. I'm sure you can imagine what it means living in such a condition. I'm just 2 weeks into the work but I have already felt so tired and fade that I'm thinking of quitting the job and go back to the village which is neither a better option. Some days, I sleep in the open in the compound because no space for me inside, absorbing all in the cold into my system which is very unhealthy, plus uncertain security situation. Also, according to the company's policy, I won't get paid through out the probationary period which is 3 months. How do I handle this?

I need advice please.
You can go back to the village where your mother will be feeding and you will have a complete one room and a comfortable bed to sleep then continue wasting there or stay put in the job your friend connected you to. Forget every distractions, suffer for a while in that apartment for a while and kick start your life from there and then become someone better.
The choice is yours.

You said that you made them the 5th person in that room. The other 4 have bn living there, none of them has died.
Anyone that likes too much comfort when he has not worked enough to earn that comfort does not go far in life.
There are many of your mates sleeping in the street just for them to make a living. This guy offered u job and accommodation and you prefers soft life.

Education › Re: Total Ban Of Bullying In Nigerian Schools by Psoul(m): 4:29pm On Dec 08, 2021
Seun:
In the wake of the brutal beating of Sylvester Oromoni in the hands of his fellow students, which led to his death, I think we need to advocate for a complete ban on the despicable culture of bullying prevalent in Nigerian primary and secondary schools and boarding houses that contributed to his death.

The Federal Ministry of Education should immediately introduce a regulation banning students in primary or secondary schools (including school prefects) from beating or punishing other students in any way or for any reason, or forcing them to run errands. Students should only be punished or sent on errands by school staff, who are old enough to bear the full legal consequences of their actions.

Parents don't send their kids to school to be used as slaves, and brutally punished by other students. They send them there to be educated. Bullying and being bullied are distractions which should no longer be tolerated in this country. Any student that tries it must face suspension. Any school that permits it should have to pay a hefty fine that is proportional to the school's revenue.

We have been crying about justice for Sylvester Oromoni for many days now, and rightly so, but justice in one case won't stop other incidents from happening. We need to tackle the root cause which is the culture of exploitation and victimization of junior/weaker students by senior/stronger students. Let's quickly ban it at this crucial time when everyone is disgusted by bullying, bullies, and schools that enable them.
Bullying is not particular in Nigerian school.
Bullying is a worldwide thing.
Listen to bullying stories from Western School and you will see that Nigerians are learners.
So don't make this story look like it's only in Nigerian schools that you will find bullies.

I don't know about others, but if my kid was in that school, I don't need a campaign to withdraw him/her.
Withdraw him and put in your own school or put in a school where you will be the hostel patron so that you will be able to watch your child 24/7...abi?

Is there any school that is rid of bullies?
Any school that refused to give teachers good authority to discipline erring students and also have ways to chakemate teachers' excesses will always see bullies getting away with their atrocities.
95% of private schools are guilty of this. Especially those private schools that enjoy patronage from rich parents. They place the students above every other staff of the school.

Rest in peace slyvester junior. I pray u get justice.
The way people are reacting on this issue seem somehow and will, if care is not taken, cause more harm.
It's true that the death of that boy is a heartbroken one, but we should also, at the same time try to be reasonable.

The 25 year anniversary the woman mentioned was not as organizing anniversary party.
She was trying to point out that the school has bn in existence for 25 years.
That means, 25 years of good work. For this, we should not just kill the school rather demand for reformation.
The school has produced people that are doing well in the society and even in the diaspora.
Yes, a grievous mistake has been made, we still need to look into how to forestall its recurrence.

Until police arrest the school owner, make una stop catching cruise on us.

Abi can someone tell us why the school owner is yet to be arrested?
Give me one reason the owner of the school will be arrested.

We are too ignorant of laws in this country.
The school is a registered entity and the owner of the school is a different entity.
What happened to and in the school should not be directly linked to the owner unless there is a strong evidence of the owner of school involvement to what happened there.

So you want to tell me that if Dangote's truck kills 30 persons, the police will go and arrest Dangote? Is that how the law of you country runs? Some people are even asking for the parents of the students involved to be arrested.
Why haven't police arrested President Buhari for all the crime and insecurity going on in this country. After all, he is the father of the Nation.

It is really a very sad situation, but right things must be done.

What sort of negligence is that?

How will eight children open a parked car and cramp themselves in the car and then go ahead to lock themselves just to play inside? They need to do more investigation.

RIP to the dead.
It is very possible. This is not the first time this has happened in this country.
8 of them were playing together. Once one of them entered the car, all of them will follow.

The car having a child lock turned on was what made it impossible for them to open it.

Education › Re: When Parents Storm School To Beat Their Child's Bully by Psoul(m):
I came from a Christian home.
My Dad (may God peacefully rest his soul), who was a respected Reverend Minister, will always tell us (I, my elder brother and my younger sister) never to fight in school.
He will tell us to avoid trouble and reminds us that people are looking up to us and we cannot afford to disappoint Christ.
These word formed our lives and we were calm, enduring and not troublesome.

When some bullies noticed that we don't want troubles and they started bullying us.
We will come back home, tell dad and he will be like, try to avoid them and make sure u don't make troubles in the school.
This continues until one day I came back complained to dad, he continued with his peaceful advice.
I asked him, "what if they kill us one day?"

This changed everything.
Dad then changed his adjusted his advice.
He said to us. "Try as much as possible to stay away from troubles. In a situation you tried your best and they refuse to let you people be, make sure that 3 of you joined hands together and give such a bully a thorough beating of his life and I will be responsible for anything that comes out.
I was pleased and secretly gingered inside me.

Next day, we went to school. The bullying started again.
There was this guy who was the head of the bullies. They believe he can beat everyone in the school.
When he came, I challenged him and told him to stop or else he will not find it funny. He persisted and even threatened to beat me. I walked away. I told my sister to leave school before closing and planned with my brother to beat the guy after school.

After school, there was this square where every fight takes place. Immediately we got there. I walked towards this bully and pushed him asking him to tell me why he was foolish in the afternoon when we were in the class. Everyone was shocked at my new found courage. The guy charged as before to intimidate me. By then, other students have started singing war songs and grouping themselves behind their favourite contestant.

Omo, come see beating. The first thing I did was to kick his blokos and he became weak. I and my brother descended on him. We beat hell out of him. He was on the ground begging us. We fed him with sand and paper.

After that day, all of them started giving us space. Some wanted to be our friends and once we come into the class, they will even offer us seat to sit on. That was how we go liberated from the bullies.

5 sons + 3 sisters (3 sisters are same sisters to all the 5 sons) + 1x3(3 sisters have one baby each)
= 5 + 3 + 3 = 11
Wrong.
So you threw away the couple that was also mentioned.
The answer is 13 people if you want to adopt that logic.
But the statement never said the couple went to the picnic with all those people.
So it was only the couple that went for that picnic.
So the answer is 2 people.
