Why not hit the gym while going green. Quick fixes is the bane of modern society. |
ChoCho54:That is the Nigeria they create for themselves. That is why the country is in shambles. Mixed messages to leadership. A people that donot know what they want. A sandwich of sentiment with reality that leads ro social constipation. |
The whistleblower system is the only way these sort of thing can work. It should be extended to lifestyle issues of public servants set against the facts of their remunerations, simple. That is what happens in much of Asia. They just track your expenses and tally it with your income and taxes. You explain the difference. But once again, to get this sort of framework operational you need strong legislation. To get legislation you need the right people in power and the strong activism to keep them focused. To do all that you need a citizenry that recognises they are in a pit but can get out of it. Unfortunately that is where the whole thing breaks down. The citizens will either irresponsibly pass the whole thing over to God and then bow down to idolise their problems in human form, tieing up both the hands of God and man to act. |
Hmmm....champions league loading.. |
Auba is really low on confidence. |
The school may have to be shut down after this. The whole thing has not been handled well. |
imagrg:Then wash both hands with soap under running water. Gosh. Just the thought of shaking all those hands BC (before covid). |
I suppose when you say water you mean, soap and water and then a means to towel up after. If not, please use tissue. Too many diseases are spread by hand contact. Just too many. |
ednut1:Absolutely agree. The visa regimes of most countries out of Nigeria are too lax. Reduce the traffic to almost zero and Nigerians will force their government to act with better internal surveillance. No visa should be issued on the basis of any rubbish written or filled on any form. Just state your name and social security number and the rest will be found out. If you have no data, then no visa, simple. And we need to get the private sector involved in data mining. They have better tools than government and are well ahead of government in a potential race to catch up with criminality. |
Lanrelagboi:Nice. Particularly like those blue hue LED's popular in the far east. |
Mycoin:It is already revealed in scriptures. That in the end time there will be pestilences. What else do you want to hear. The Bible makes it clear. That the general trajectory of the earth and mankind is headed downwards. Things will generally get worse. Is this true or not. |
Just get your principal to let democracy, let institutions and let the citizenry of this country work out their own salvation even if he and his government adds little or nothing to the value of their lives and their future prosperity. Nigeria is no better in any fundamental or significant way than it was in 2015 so it is either the government has failed, democracy has failed or the people have failed. You can hide behind Covid 19 all you want but if you will not permit the people of this country to express their feelings about the way the government you serve superintends over Nigeria, what gives you the moral right to blame anything or anyone else other than yourselves. You have been given much, expectations are natural. Just shut it and do your duty. No one is interested in these failed narratives. Continue in self delusion and you will get a hotter 2021. There are 200million people in Nigeria. Better be careful. |
If not that I will not like Nigeria to become a one party state, I certainly do not think the PDP is ready for government after just eight years in the wilderness. They have done absolutely nothing to enhance democracy, oppose the excesses of this government for better performance and have joined in crushing institutions through working in cahoots with the APC at the National Assembly. |
We are tored and getting disinterested about these recurring stories. Anyone complaining about government security over reach should ask himself why the endSARS was not tooled for development. They should ask themselves why they stood by and watched the authors of the status quo corrupt, derail and destroy the movement for a better society through proper law enforcement nacross board. I dare those DSS officials to stand on the road during the protests misbehaving. But now they have all been left off the hook they will only get worse, more recalcitrant and we can only blame ourselves as a society for failing to see the reforms through, failing to learn from citizens of other nations and failing to learn from history. They will soon tag her as an enemy of state for daring to complain about 'constituted authority'. |
Looks alright. With time it will become an industry and all the quirks tooled out of operations. Still have my doubts about government running commercial enterprises so I expect that to change for long term success when they have proven to the business world that the future of long distance land transport in Nigeria is rail. |
Where are the pictures... |
It is not his fault, but it is his responsibility. He heads the organisation and it is structured in his image. His office should speak up directly on his behalf. |
They could incorporate elevated monorail tracks into the bridge structure at just a little more cost, but I guess they are not that visionary. Years to come they will pull down parts of the bridge to build an intracity railway. |
Murder suicide. Guns are not made that way. They have robust safety devices. |
jaxxy:Failed 'endSARS' protest. It was supposed to be a war to end all wars. In 'saner climes' recalcitrant establishments donot come back from that without becoming 'born again'. |
ModelX:Absolutely agree. |
Told you folks on all these police nonsense. Calling off the endSARS protest without extracting signed, sealed and delivered reforms is like taking pills for an infection for just a couple of days. The infection will return with such a storming vengance that will leave its victim on the throes of death. Watch out for the police and unprecedented acts of terror to be on leashed on haspless citizens. Folks, strap in and brace for a wild 2021 ride. |
Tilykay:Indeed....moving around like some bubonic virus, destroying everything. We need leaders who will write their resignation letters before appending their nomination forms. Not these evil beings. |
Back to do what? What have you folks done to turn 'clap into dance'. What solutions have you proferred to the myriad of challenges as a bloc interest/opposition group. What have you done to present yourselves as a 'government in waiting'... Now waiting means what? It means service. It means humility. It means sacrifice. It means listening. It means excellence. Have you folks demonstrated any of these as individuals in authority or as a group in advocacy. None. So what are you 'coming back' to do.... As the morning tells the day so your disposition towards Nigeria today will tell what will happen if you get into authority.. Ill prepared, unready, speculative, and learning on the job are just some of the scenarios I can think about. In summary. You guys are not ready and not up to it. Start postulating solutions to the present challenges in organized, viable and clear terms and Nigerians will start taking interest. This attitude of waiting for another to fail for you to become attractive will not just cut it. We will not accept a choice between horror and calamity. That is not the way to make progress. |
authority2006:Words, words, words... Exactly where has unrest been ignited. Exactly where is chaos happening now. State the facts, give examples. Locations, events,...prove it. You have absolutely nothing but the fear of another inquisition of goverment. So touchy to any critique whatsoever. What you fail to realise is that the citizens of this country are so weakened by poor governance that they cannot even summon enough strength to fight one another on the altar of sentiment, so confused they cannot recognise their regular foes. A thousand Kukah's will say the same thing and no one will act simply because Nigerians have been completely stripped of their dignity and pounded into submission. You guys are safe. You need not worry. Where you fly this country to is where it will land. |
SilverNorGold:Mr. President should focus on the issues bedevilling this country. Yes, words can be converted to acts and provocation can lead to violence but a fireman will put out fires first before cooling down smouldering tinders. It is ridiculous to think that today Mr. Kukah is the biggest challenge this government has on its hands. It speaks of an uncaring attitude towards issues Nigerians consider pressing which incidentally are the three legs on which you consider this government socially legitimate, three promises this government made: anti corruption, security, and the economy. The goverment should focus on these not on statements by individuals. It should be galvanised to effect these promises. This is why it was elected. |
Arsenal ke? with enough egos to sink an aircraft carrier. It is like storing petrol, dynamite and then someone is looking to offload concentrated nitric acid and you say, 'yes I have just enough space'. |
¡ Arrewa:So to criticise this government is exhibiting 'hatred towards Muslims'....?\!?*@?!*!! You mean you actually sat down with your tablet, thought for a while then penned this fable to present to supposedly adults of Nigerian heritage. Are you insinuating that this government is a religious one, or a northern one or a Hausa/Fulani one. And here we are thinking this government belongs to all 200 million men and women, at least that constituted part of the inauguration speech far back in May 2015. While naysayers try hard to prove it is a Nigerian government so is free game to be criticised by all an sundry, and the government itself is completely confused about its identity, folks like you, arch supporters leave no one in doubt that it is sectarian with gaffes like these. Please in your rush to support what is unnecessary (if the right thing is done) be careful to watch how you present a defence. Transporting ammunition to the warfront is a hazardous business for it can easily be the means of your own end. You guys are speeding up the much feared balkanisation of Nigeria. Others bring division by weak and immaterial intent, you guys are bringing its reality by serious words and glaring acts. Na una go end am....as they say... |
Step by step, precept by precept companies, corporations and powerful individuals are truncating the world and taking charge of humanity. Soon, when these idols will say 'jump'!!!, all humanity will ask 'how high?' Surely serious thought needs to be given to 'alternative existence'. It is very concerning indeed. |
Why is he wailing. 'Wailers Incorporated' has been on lockdown since 2016. He should keep his 'palliatives' to himself. He will need it in 2021. There was a time we said, 'a day is coming when even those enjoying the disaster called Nigeria then will beg for restructuring but also is will be too late'. There is a degree of rot an entity will degenerate to that cannot be reversed. We are at the edge of that. This country will soon become unredeemable no matter the best intentions. But I know there are some who will rather lose all than cede some. |
DuBLINGreenb:It was established in 1870. It is being linked for the first time 150 years later, meaning 2020. What is so hard to understand about that. English comprehension is certainly not your forte. |
Perhaps its the sanitary repair works that is causing the effusion of the odours from the broken waste containment vessels and installations. Perhaps it is your dung rising out of darkness to torment both you folks. |
