..when your spirit and soul have long left the building and honking for your body to hurry up. |
Officialgarri:Well, someone officially put that nonsense in the report to ridicule the military whose job is to neutralize threats and secure territory, period. They have no business with personal property be it livestock, automobiles, furniture, luggage, school books, musical instruments or even a barber's chair. They secure territory, neutralize enemy combatants, capture renegade elements and let the police coming closely behind clean up and restore normalcy. It is the police that does housekeeping not the military. The report doesn't sit well at all. |
Just logging in to note this: Whoever wrote this report is either mischievous or the military is absolutely inept for this kind of reportage because it is highly insensitive and gives ammunition to those who assert that it is sectional in its mandate. They had better respond appropriately. |
Visionless, nonsensical elements everywhere. You will expect that Nigerian goverments all over the nation near bankruptcy will place their resources where they will obtain maximum returns for development. But no, this reprobate structure remains an anchor. |
omobacyprus:You don't understand. He is not lacking what to do, heck, I consider he is not lacking a means to survive. He is lacking a a destination to arrive at, a target to aim at, a reality check. His life is organised around the need for making superfast money to satisfy a material craving(unknown) that no regular job or tasking will fulfill. He needs to be demotivated in that direction and redirected around the value syatem that ends with reward for innovation, skill, risk and effort....and starts with quest for quality education. His lifes' compass is malfunctioning. |
YoungandDepress:There are lots of angles to this and lots of approaches, but before dismantling your life with a view to servicing the parts and rebuilding it properly it is best to unplug it from the mains to keep everyone safe. You have a serious problem of/with materialism. I gather that much from your presentation. It reeks all over with it....and you have turn those impulses off. You have to deal with that before attempting to dismantle your life or you will never be able to do it. The good news is that you are still flying straight and level in life.... but for how long before gravity takes hold and ypu go out there to do something really stupid that will change the course and be impossible to come back from. Deal with your challenge of materialism first. You must begin to be a person of VALUES, VALUES, VALUES. That is what gives the ordinary human being the direction and impetus (impulse) to move forward in life...in any meaningful way. |
If not for coarse religion and stark illiteracy these kids would be on the front cover of lifestyle magazines in major world cities in no distant time. The condition is extremely rare amongst the negroid race. |
Always threatening.... in a so called democracy. They can never dialigue, townhall, appeal, negotiate, no....their feudal instincts will tell them it is weakness for leadership to accede to the led. |
Rossikki:Which trouble can a people forment in a so called democracy oga. Which trouble can protesters forment against a whole country. Your interest is not making peace for Nigeria, your interest is making peace for those mismanaging the country. It is their interests you rant to protect so it must mean you are part of the problem too. And for heavens sake steer clear of talking about things you know little about. Almost all European democracies have 'Socialist' leaning and socialist practicing political parties and movements. They are not running scared at the mention of socialism and once a while even welfarist parties come into power. We know Nigerians prefer tin gods they can worship and adore in the feudal state you guys are busy building where the rule of godfather reigns supreme but I can assure you that as soon as THE Nigerian Citizen wakes up from his decades old slumber you folks will all be swept aside. If you think Nigeria can go on indefinitely like this you must be dreaming as well. Whether you shudder and cringe in fear at the word 'Revolution' is your problem. Go to public parks everywhere in western Europe on weekends and you will see more inflammatory and more incendiary language and protest actions taking place to get their goverments to listen. That is coming to Nigeria and there is nothing you folks will be able to do about it. The worst you folks can do is to try and split the movements with the age old precolonial tactic of tribal divisions and religious schisms. |
Tissaia:While their fellow citizens of failed disposition were busy arguing about the semantics of the protests like school kids. |
Beautiful advert. Lovely kid. |
You even have the time to reply illiterates that do not know the difference between protest and REVOLUTION. Illiteracy is not a disease, it is something worse. They are better ignored and left alone. Before they drag you to their mud. Spits
This is just a protest no matter what the organisers try and call it so any sensible goverment will treat it simply as that. You don't advertise revolutions on the pages of the newspaper, you don't send invitations. Revolutuons are by nature spontaneous combustion of citizen angst practically out of nowhere against authority. They are unplanned and happen like child birth or an earthquake or a volcanic event. You know it is coming but cannot tell the time, place nor direction it will burst. You don't sit down on friday to organise a revolution for monday morning. That is play acting, so please inform.your principals this IS NOT A REVOLUTION so they should stop harassing protesters. No goverment comes back from or survives a true revolution and no country remains the same after one. Once a real revolution starts it will not stop until the fuel of uprising is expended. If a revolution happens in Nigeria it will be seen, heard and felt everywhere. Goverment should stop harassing those young men and women. A goverment that claims to be legitimate and performing but cannot tolerate as little as half a day of protest by less than a thousand people shows only how weak it is. In the military era there were protests in parts of Nigeria going on for upwards of a forthnight despite their heavy handedness. |
Was it not Bristow flying here and there during the airspace lockdown ferrying Covid 19 to parts unknown like a mosquito spreads malaria thereby prolonging the pandemic in Nigeria. Why can't they appeal to the 'essential services' minister for bailout. The 'oily' industry has used and dumped them. |
Classic Coronaviral invasion specialty. That is how it kills the vast majority. And that is why it is so hard to treat. It triggers such a heavy immune response the defending armies of the human body can only reduce the organs to 1943 Stalingrad . |
Abouwaza:His loss ?... His loss ?... who loses when democracy doesn't work. Oga, get enlightened. Leadership is a call to service. Those who lose are those who expend their franchise in placing their orders for good goverment and decent service but neither get the goods delivered nor the services rendered. And on top of that today they are being arrested for protesting and thrown out en of the joint. The competition can only laugh. After 21 years most of us still donot know how this democracy thing works. Little wonder it is badly dented and falling apart. |
cana882:Hahahaha... how can you have too much of a good thing. Sit down with this double talk. Amaechi!!!...Fire on. More, more, more loans. Ypu have donr well too. We must develop by force. We either develop trains or we develop sense. |
georgeiyke009:Novice. What is bank transactions. You know very little about money laundering. Banks are just the packaging line of the production process. If you want to hook the fish you start with the bait, the initiator of the requisition. Everyrhing from there on can be legitimised. I have been battling one all morning. One complex chicanery that runs through Onitsha right up to Lagos. Just discovering the rot of almost a year ago involving a very trusted (hitherto) vendor. Jusy trying to compute how much we have been under supplied.... these boys eh. |
That's the same school I was posted to, during my service year,so dilapidated, funny enough all the teachers and the principal drive good cars. The principal's office is like heaven compared to the classrooms too bad[/quote I call it the Nigerian anti-business phenomenon the first day I saw such at the NAHCO bonded warehouse to collect sone stuff coming from Europe. The gravelled staff carpark was teeming with assorted expensive automobiles but their portakabin offices... or something the builders intended .... hian... just looking like.hurricance had passed through an hour ago and they were just emerging from shelter. After sweating a bit while awaiting for a clerk the overweight excuse of a superintendent excused himself to go sit in his SUV for a bit with the engine and ac on. I promptly left for mine, business suspended for cooling break. Even the lavatories at the Federal Secretariat can be worse than pig stys despite the fact that those building inhabit the largest collection of black magic billionaires in all of Africa. |
inioluwa03:How many meetings have they had in the last year. More frequent than a Sunday School in a rough neighbourhood where Mr. President's teachings on fidelty go in one ear and out the next. Their ways are far from changing. |
baby124:If you cannot see what is wrong them you are a part of them, a bonafide failed citizen. You might as well employ a driver and ask him to steal petrol from the gas station to take you home because the car is yours and your journey is legitimate. |
Any sort of engineering work requires physical conditioning to maintain a decent level of safety thougtless of function. That's why engineering professionals are the fittest bunch on earth. They can go at peak conditioning for decades at a stretch. |
FellaG:And...you want to chase after oil majors after the lessons learnt 'squandering' life playing monopoly, when crude oil is failing, worth less than vegetable oil...hmm. Why not get something you can do for life, simething tou can continue doing with a passion 'leaning on a walking stick' and to which your kids and their kids can continue in without a want for direction and motivation. |
A swamp road with a base of sand is not likely to last very long and I can be certain it is asphalt based and surfaced. Concrete is the only survival option for those communities. One bad mood from the moon and the tidal surge will just sweep off the sand like the proverbial house built on the seashore. The folks there are really living inhospitably. |
A system that will scan the landscape from top through the bottom, east to west, desert through savannah to the swamp and sea.... ....that is glance over a hundred million half decent adults and then settles and preselects the worst, basest and most undesirable fellow to run for the highest office of leadership in the land is just mind boggling. Look Nigerians. Believe me, we are heading nowhere. We are not just even remotely honest to ourselves if we want any good to come to this country because we can clearly see what our problems are and still subscribe to them boldly. How anyone can see fit to accord this felon a shot at high office is just annoying and yet we claim corruption is the problem in Nigeria. Is Orji Kalu bribing you and I to make him President, no. But the structure we operate in will guarantee he becomes, if the owners of Nigeria so wish it. And until we restructure this country there is nothing stopping a felon from ruling Africa's most populous country to our collectuve shame. Corruption is not the problem of Nigeria. The problem of Nigeria is what causes symptims such as corruption to survive, fester and.thrive. Restructure Nigeria NOW. PS. For those who donot understand in plain english what I get at. He is favoured above all for the his compromises and the baggage he carries which they masquerade as solidarity. He will be tied up to their coatails so tightly they will inevitably be ruling by proxy. Any attempt at liberty will swiftly be met by blackmail after the fact and before the fall. That is not democracy and we all know it. |
Mr. Shoprite, enough noise. If you are going public please do. If you are franchising I can only say RIP. Nigerians are not ethical by nature. Your brand will be dragged into ths mud. |
EdiskyHarry:Ibom Air wll last a bit longer at taxpayers expense of course then the goverment will shut it down as well as a profligate white elephant in a decade and a half"s time. Nigeria doesn't have what it takes to operate a sustainable aviation industry. |
Story, story. Everyrhing is Covid blamed but the truth is that with an ever disintegrating and sinking middle class the airline industry will be sucked into the abyss. Since OBJ signed the death warrant of Nigeria's middle class with the nationalisation policy of the late Murtala the avarage lifespan of any new airline is a decade. Air Peace is just on that cycle of ineviatable decline. Transport anywhere in the world is a mass market sector do I cannot see how any airline cayeeing for 1 percent of the population is expected to survive any economic shock whatsoever thoughless of making a profit. Bon Voyage Air Peace. Join the historical list of jet setters. |
And is yet unproven to be effective. It is not a cure but an attempt. May or may not work. |
sonofElElyon:27 kilometres is far too long. It is like fencing a small town, very unwise. If you want to secure vast areas you deploy technology. With a fraction of that amount you can instal cameras, sensors and both active and passive deterents. A fence offers resistance only to the weakest of assaults. A moat is even a better and more formidable obstacle. No one is thinking here. Who did they consult on their security challenges. That person should be shot for foolishness and gross incompetence. |
Are the students the 'grasscutters' (pun intended) or do they pay the gardeners/caretakers or what ? Thought goverment offices have opened nationwide for a while now which means some folks are skipping work and probably still getting paid. This is dereliction of duty.... If rhe lawns are like these you can imagine how Nigerian Public Universities' infamous bathrooms must look and smell like by now....yuck. |
Dayoebe:There is a difference between 'close' and 'shut'. You are not seeking to put them out of business but you must find out what happened, determine liability and fix issues. These can be done quickly. But you simply cannot carry on, sweeping the corpse under the rug as if nothing happened. Do so and it is likely to recur. |
CsRockefeller:Every proper piece of equipment or machinery has safety features built into it for those careful enough to study them. No factory machine is designed to kill or maim people. It is the lack of proper preparation that leads to avoidable accidents either on the part of those who fabricate them: Chinese products coming to Africa are guilty of these Or those who instal and commission them to cut financial corners, or those who operate them without proper orientation. The greater the danger, the longer the orientation process will be and the more professional the operator deployed to task. As a matter of fact certain industrial plants will not even engage rookie operators on some of their gear thoughtless of handing them over to freelancers like you. There are some stuff I have that I will simply not engage anyone younger than 45 and single no matter how many years he claims to be experienced. |
