flex04:Mine receives a 45-minute bashing starting 3.30am everyday except Sundays and a 45-minutes by 6pm likewise for two weeks then I rest it for 1 week straight. I donot toy with my heart health. |
You can say that to the judge in court. Face your warrant. If you are found guilty, You face the consequences of your actions. We trust our darling daddy to leave you to your fate as he as been doing all along. STEALING IS NOW CORRUPTION!! Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime. Let us make some enemies of the country wail on our honest image below this monday morning. Children of hate, frustration and perdition show your face by quoting this post, let us know you
Yet cannot seem to find any, not even one person who livea above board to work for him....How he manages to snatch corruption from the jaws of probity remains one of life's unsolved mysteries.... just listed after 'what the heck happened to Malaysia Air flight MH370.' |
Success20202020:Hmmm....I think Advocate Malami requires your services promply.... and he has a 'ship load' of stories to tell. |
Just like it was Rotimi Amaechi v Nyesom Wike at Rivers 2015. If you can remember the name on the APC ballot off the top if your head, raise your right hand?... such is the slavery we have sold ourselves into. I wonder why Barack Obama is not pulling down the White House on top of DonaldcTrump despute the fact that his former Veep and buddy, Biden is running. Cos he know it will elicit an instantaneous and potentially fatal backlash from the American people. That is a country where people cherish their liberties and will not be led by the nose ring like cattle. The freedom to choose their leaders and the responsibility for any outcome. |
Had it been the constitutional rights to protest is functional in this country all these things will be drastically reduced but politicians have hijacked the civil space and closed it down completely out of fear. |
Gbest90:Understand he maybe heading to Juventus to replace Gonzalo. |
He should refine his responses a bit and be wary of the Press. No one really wins against them. A simply worded statement should suffice. |
MadamExcellency:So that is where all the so called elaborate 'Christian' burial practices come from.... popular desires, mixed with tradition. A Christian burial in its purest form will closely resemble the Jewish practices from where Christianity gets its roots.. 24 hours from death to the grave, 7 days of mourning. Any other thing comes from Greece, Rome, Constantinople, France or England but I suspect Rome since they always had elaborate practices of the worship of the dead and belief in the afterlife. But look through scripture you will never see any backing for these so called Christian practices as people call them. |
Jack005:And what makes you think all those things are Scriptural because you won't find them in the Bible I read. |
Nice. I love history especially when privy to bit parts of it... when you could almost stroll into Lagos House and chase the peacocks....I really enjoyed my very early childhood..... I have enjoyed the best Nigeria had....I lived it then. |
Dukeolumidemans:Never. The average Nigerian cannot relate his economic decadence with the policy disasters of the leaders he worships. The average Nigerian is not that bright. If corruption is not keeping a moribund enterprise running to the loss of every single Nigerian, what is. Every single person receiving salaries in NNPC Refineries as we speak is a fraudster. Yes I said it. If you have a conscience resign please. You are being paid for nothing at the expense of other pressing needs and we can certainly use the money instead of incurring more debts. If we are importing 100%, then it is sheer fraud to keep those refineries as establishments. Fact. |
These refineries have not worked in any meaningful way since the dying days of the Babangida regime, however every single administration since then has executed or claimed to execute rehabilitation works running to several hundred million dollars. Yet they will not let it go. Execuse me, but what do you call this kind of madness. Is this not another Ajaokuta.... yet they will not let go. If that man was the Managing Director of a proper, accountable corporation and he comes before us shareholders to announce yet again another loss, what should we do to him and his board.... ....and if he refuses to step down what should we as shareholders do..... yes, dump our stocks enmasse. Nigerian citizens, let us tell these people we no wan do again.... no be by force for government to get refinery, haba. Money for hospitals and schools and roads are going down the NNPC waste pipeline...paying salaries for no work, paying leave allowance when they are on perpetual leave, paying for foreign courses and estacodes when all knowledge is going to waste, paying medicare to handle idleness related obesity... enough is enough. Husbands, fathers, wives, mothers will wake in the morning, dress up, pick the car keys and claim they are going to work in an establishment that has not achieved anything productive in 25 years. Some will even have joined the NNPC Refinery Chain at the time they begun having problems in the early 90's and will claim to be eligible for pension today having not witnessed up to a calendar month of continuous production all their time there. Haba, where is the conscience Nigerians. |
Hmmm.....anytime they come up with this stunt the same number (or even more) jobs are lost. Since the audience is business this is perhaps to sweeten their palletes while their tax henchmen smash through their vaults.... yes I said it, just another distraction. Forgive my skepticism but we have heard it all before, many, many times for those who keep records since 2015. But they know jobs are created when businesses prosper and expand, and businesses will only prosper if they make profit and they will only make profit if they are competitive and they will only be competitive if their costs are efficient. Just yesterday afternoon I got word that one of my vendors bringing stuff to the south paid N70,000 to the military, the police and various taskforces just between Onitsha and Uyo, despite the fact it took 2 days because he would only move at night when there will be fewer uniformed men. Legitimate, documented goods. Just because of the value of the cargo and the need for its timely delivery. That is one truck, just one truck out of how many in a week. 70,000 naira, just two days. I was shocked. Can that not pay the monthky wage of one low paid individual?... so what is government saying? They know what to do. Whenever they are ready. I don't care. The vendor passed the cost onto me and I will pass it on, period. Many, many jobs are lost to the cost of production in Nigeria, forcibly collected and shared by greedy government officials. Mr Osibanjo should look for his jobs there. |
Very impressed. This is the way to go. These are the kinds of things that spur education. These are the reasons why knowledge becomes attractive, not school for certificates but school for purpose, knowledge to add value, knowledge to guarantee prosperity and independence, knowledge to end endless loans and cyclical poverty. These are the people who should be at the President's ear, these are to folks who should be part time advisers to those in authority not indolent rent seekers and dubious round tripping leeches who make so much noise and trouble all of society. To forge on in this country and present economic climate is no easy feat. I doff my hat for this great entrepreneur and visionaire. PS: I hope in time to come the research centre can grow to become a full fledged stand alone center for engineering excellence that the private sector can tap for quality human resources not just in automotive engoneering but other allied fields. He can invest in that as an independent enterprise. We lack specialist centres of excellence in this country. That is why we are often at the mercy of half literate, half competent expatriates who see this country as fodder. Those established by government such as the National Automotive Centre more or less moribund and unfit for purpose like everything else having a capital 'N' starting its acronym. |
Massive gamble. That's all I can say for now. The whole thing looks very untidy and reeks anger and desperation. They should take a lot of Cool-Aid and head to the beach for a few days of R&R. What's the rush. Pirlo isn't exactly the next best thing after Pep. |
No comment. Said enough. |
Whereas his State is like an abbatoir. Anyway his activities are limited by the expectations of the people he governs. |
TechDaddy:Quite agree. Just couldn't understand the Allegri replacement and when Sarri was announced it definitely was a step down. Agnelli or whoever did that goofed big time. Juventus deserves a top 10 gaffer at the very least. They are the closest Italian soccer will come to winning the UCL in the next decade. |
Tlaw01:Indeed. He is a B-rated coach, Europa level at best. They should go for Poch if he's available. |
BigBashiru:There is nothing inherently wrong in that. The impetus to set up industry can come from anywhere. It can be that you trademark technology that delivers a unique product. It could be that you have market access somewhere. Industry is not entirely about, centered around raw materials. Nigerians should get this out of their psyche. That wealth possibilities lie with the ownership of the basic building blocks of industry when we know there is no one country that buys our raw stuff that isn't more prosperous than us simpky because we buy back these things at far higher value and thus price. There are conglomerates out there that have large enough orders for certain stuff they don't mind setting up a whole factory abroad to produce it and after the order is complete they pack their bags and walk away not even taking the furniture along. If a nation had all the technology, all the resources and al the markets at its beck and call then it won't need investors would it. But there is no one country that dominates all the factors of production, not even the United States. But what one is saying is that for a country in dire need such as Nigeria it is sad that the governor will watch that factiry fold up and next day he is in Shoprite buying a cocoa drink made in Thailand or China or Cameroun.... These things should worry us. |
Shocking that the State government didn't know the enterprise has been moribund for 2 years. Is it that Osun State has so many industrial concerns that one goes missing is no big deal. If tax revenue means anything will it happen? This is another reason why this structure that has at its developmental core a philosophy of 'monetary allocations' from the centre to the States instead of the reverse can never develop this country. I have mentioned on several topical issues that to prosper there has to be a close, close, ultra close synergy between government and investors in such a manner as a farmer and his crops or a herder and his animals. Goverment cares absolutely for investments and industries in the expectation they will succeed, thrive and produce the milk and the meat the citizens need to move ahead. Meaning that in this case the animals are not left unattended for two whole years or the plantation is left uncultured for that long. Meaning that at the first hint of trouble the Commisioner for Trade and Industries should have been at that premises because he has a hotline to management and government does ALL IT CAN to keep that industry going and jobs retained. And I have mentioned several ways it can do that, principally by synergy amongst sister industries and allied industries across Nigeria so that when we cannot trade without we maximise trade opportunities within. I will say this once again as it relates to this case because it is the Nigeria I know. I am willing to bet that there is someone somewhere on our shores that has market contacts for that industry's products. There is someone out there who needs that Company's products and we will all be shocked that the person is presently importing similar products from the West Coast. I say again. We have poor quality governments in power. They are not fit for purpose in a any half decent economy. |
This is what I fail to understand about Africans. Challenges affect everything except sex. Smaller apartment, perhaps reduced meals, low budget entertainment... everything cut down except the sex.... why? Out of the devastating world wars of almost a century ago and the terrible suffering it left in Europe an important legacy arose apart from the women's liberation movement, that is, smaller families. When squeezed by hardship the typical European sheds weight to maintain dignity. He just cuts things out of his life. The black man and to some extent the Asian will wiggle and wiggle to manage and watch his dignity collapse. Chief. How can you be thinking about sex in such a position. Sex is also meant for procreation and nature is telling you that you are not resourced to 'multiply', to expand your family. So rather than wiggle and risk lowering your standard of living even further listen to nature speaking to you and cut it out completely and let the pain of abstinence motivate you to move your general prospects forward. If YOU DONOT. You will engage a slippery slope of serious poverty. If you wiggle and find a way the sex will become frequent and before you know it a child will arrive and overun your finances and subduct your plans. Then that sister-w-in-law will have all the more reason to stay and before you know it you are tempted to sleep with her while your wife nurses. Circumstances is speaking to you and the part of your brain that controls reasoning is still alive. DONOT LET THE PART THAT CONTROLS RAW EMOTION.... RAW PASSION KILL IT. |
Therr is little hope outside technology to drive down the prices to reach the poor. The demand is far too great for goverment to subsidise and then in the case of Nigeria the added adninistrative problems. If onshore industry is involved the borders have to be watertight to make such policies effective. I just cannot see the way outside technology.... material sciences and enhanced, simplified production techniques that will bring industry to the grassroots and the making of personal sanitary products literily a household affair. This is what is worth pursuing by goverment and NGO's. |
'...Those of us clamouring for restructuring are those who want the country to stay together peacefully...' And I will add progressively. And those who want it to continue this way are obviously profiting from its demise. Today they call themselves patriots. Who claim to live Nigrria yet are comfortable seeing her bleed. I will always be grateful to God for divine providence that has made me completely blind to race, tribe and religion. And I thank God for the home he placed me in and the womb and loins he brought me and my siblings out of. Nigerians.... yoi guys are indeed suffering. Not to every see a day of peace in a lifetime is just....regretable. This is not how to live. Let us all sit down in peace and discuss amicably how we should live progressive, mutually beneficial lives. We need to restructure this country to see a better tomorrow. |
tmcleo2k2:Yes sir, bridges are built in sections around a specific cluster of piers. It is not uncommon for some of these clusters to settle/subside unevenly over time leading to a misalignment of various sections. The expansion joints are meant not only to bridge the gap between sections but to compensate for the misalignment to make for a smooth ride. Unfortunately this has elastic limits and after a while the joints fail. The faster the misalignment the sooner the joints will fail. It is obvious the pile clusters buried deep into the lagoon are yielding bit by bit. Maintenance going forward is bound to be more frequent as the bridge ages viz increased traffic. The bridge presently is like asking a 45 year old man to give you 60 pushups in a minute. He will need a few more breaks. |
GamalNasser:Borini Prono is not a briefcase construction company. They have been in Nigeria since the mid 70's and since the Abacha PTF era have been alloted Lagos state as their catchment area for Federal B Grade Works. They know that bridge and all the aporoaches, adjoining linkages all the way from Mile 2/Apapa/Oshodi like the back of their palms. |
Tender44:Yes, I am in support. And hope it gets worse... really worse. |
First Class.... In what for heavens sake...or is her course of study a taboo... |
If it is about ports, please just count me out. It is only a mad man that will persist on a journey to perdition when he owes no one a debt. We have said more than enough about shipping, stevedoring and port operations in Nigeria.... more than enough. They can strike to their hearts content. |
sodiqapril:So the police donot chase offenders in the country you come from... Learn to be thoughtful and objective. The policemen have commited no offense as far as I am concerned save for absconding from the scene which is a felony for which they should rightly be dismissed and prosecuted. But the chase is absolutely legal and necessary to uphold laws and deter lawlessness. He was being chased and was hit by a car. Happens all over the world. Snatch a purse or run a red light in California and the police will chase you to Nevada if need be. If you jump into an alligator pit they will rescue whatever remains of you and handcuff it to the ambulance gurney. The cyclist killed himself. |
..kinda confused...about which.... is the boar....hmmm.. |
Nisot7:Not this one oh. Covid 19 has long left my sphere of interest. We do preparation not post mortem. My wailing has ended since May. |
