grin Ha,ha,ha. This country is rooted in the dog house. Now they have the guts to call a press conference to tell the world they want to hang whistle-blowers.

What do we call this one. What possible state secret can the Ministry of Aviation that in sane climes is almost entirely privatised. Should aviation even have a ministry. How many airports are there, how many airlines, how many aircraft. What secret warrants this rubbish. There is no more Ministry of Communications, the NCC alone superintends over companies who collectively generate billions (dollarised) in turnover and handles
the calls and messages 'the secrets' of government, security agencies, politicians, the high and mighty, militants, terrorists, bandits, men and women-nappers, et al absolutely flawlessly. What secrets.

Perhaps something like that. When these massive infrastructural projects commence or are nearing completion there is almost always disruption. I am almost certain work is still going on the transmission and distribution network right now to evacuate power from that station that will have affected that town.

When people hear commissioning people assume its like opening a gift wrapped CD and slotting in for play. Technically T&C (Testing & Commissioning) can be yet a few steps to perfection and system problems can still arise. A power plant is more than a generator.

This is laughable. Even within the South East Enugu and Ebonyi are regarded as peaceful. The kind of resources in states such as Anambra and Abia that attract prying eyes and itchy fingers just isn't in those two states.

And saying Ogun state is best ranked flies in the face of numerous reports of bank banditry even reported on this forum earlier this year and with its notorious border crossings, what can I say.

Pension money running into billions stolen... No noise, but stella's name is suddenly causing nightmares. Dont get me wrong, she's certainly corrupt but most of the people shouting do worse that's why it's disgusting
My bit- maybe we should start putting up posts for every government ministry because most are worse than aviation ministry eg petroleum, oil, nnpc all criminals
Well you can see what sleeping in a swamp can cause. First you think that blood sucking bugs are bad enough. Then the night comes and the alligators are on patrol. Suddenly bug bites seem a lovely, lusty feeling.

Just get out of the damn swamp.

BTW, is it beyond the jurisdiction of the legislative arm to check-mate the executive?
Is this how the transformation agenda of this current administration works?
Youths are at home due to the ineptitude on the part of this same government with false claims that the Nation doesn't have enough money to revitalise its universities-the place where tomorrow leaders will be trained, the same place they all passed through, yet a huge sum of amount was approved and used to satisfy the superfluous needs of an individual, a public servant for that matter.
This is the absolute truth. GEJ should be furious at this matter. It makes governance all the harder for him in a nation where they often don't walk the talk. At the moment he should view her as excess baggage no matter the lofty programs she's outlined. But I guess this won't happen since it will invariably open a huge worm can that could consume many more MDA'S and ultimately undermine the entire government so in government circles right now the watch-word will be solidarity and....of course the universal Nigerian Corruption circuit breaker...ethnic jingoism.

If I am unemployed and walking the streets which tithe am I expected to pay. If a good samaritan gives me a buck I can give it all to God out of thanks or love but when I push a wheelbarrow or wash someone's clothes and am paid then I am obliged to tithe. Some have erred badly and ruined their finances, cheated their partners, companies and even government by spending monies they are neither authorized to nor demanded from.

Tithe is on what you EARN from labour. It is from the FIELD into God's storehouse. Except if pocketmoney is earned. Of course you can give out of your pocket money to God just as you give to your girlfriend out of 'LOVE'.huh but this is a free-will offering. It carries no compulsion whatsoever.

If you are given money to buy books or pay tution as a student please pay your dues. Only in exceptional, exemplary, life and destiny changing cases will God decide to total you to stake your future to provide pastor's salary. It doesn't happen everyday. Be informed.

And new born babies paying tithes. Please what scripture is that from. Another vain attempt at pleasing God when you simply cannot outside the Word.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Students Be Paying Tithes. by Reference(m): 3:35pm On Oct 20, 2013
No my dear lad. Tithes are first fruits of the field - the works of your hands meaning earned income as acknowleging the blessings of God. If your friend works, its an obligation. Tithes are not offerings, they are given more out of faith. Offerings on the other hand are given more out of love. You cannot easily escape this because you cannot claim to (God) love without giving.

Your friend's case is a worry. He shouldn't be upset he cannot show this love towards God. God will never press anyone beyond his means. Any duress comes from man and the response to this is simply idolatry.

Christianity Etc › Re: Killing In Self-defence Is It A Sin Before God? by Reference(m): 3:14pm On Oct 20, 2013
The same question can be asked. Is God interested in your world cups and premierleague, in your Nigeria's Got Talent, Hollywood, parties, weddings, funerals, etc. The answer is simple. NO. He is interested in you not your professions or your activities including your offensive or defensive killings.

Where the line becomes blurred is that does He authorize, participate, enable, etc. The answer is yes. God is more than capable of killing. The fact that I buy a toy for my baby and play with him with it does not make me interested in play or toy. My interest is baby welfare, safety, happiness and growth.

God is not interested in killing. He does not rejoice in the destruction of His creation but for the above reasons sometimes He plays with toys.
Christianity Etc › Re: Killing In Self-defence Is It A Sin Before God? by Reference(m): 2:48pm On Oct 20, 2013
Killing in the kingdom of God is forbidden. It is a sin. Thou shall not kill. But who says the earth is the kingdom of God. It is not because God is not in charge here. Here on earth you have a mish-mash of His children and the children of perdition so killing must go on till the end when everyone will be dead. God has sworn not to make anyone do anything against his will so if we like killing He will not stop us. He will only impress on us to change. But in His kingdom killing is prohibited.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by Reference(m): 2:32pm On Oct 20, 2013
millenni: We must worship God in spirit nd in truth, as d letter killeth but d spirit giveth understanding. Cain was d vicarious seed of d devil, so he lacked d revelation needed to offer a pleasing sacrifice to God.
And where did you get that. What scripture passage says so. This is the kind of speculation that causes many to err. The devil has no seed. Satan is the fallen arch angle. Angels are spirit beings that cannot bear seed. And at the time of Cain the distance between God and man was still close, communion was still almost face to face. There was no need for revelations. Read the discourse. Even faithless and later sinful Cain still spoke with God one on one. You don't need a revelation of what you are seeing face to face.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Reject Cain's Sacrifice? by Reference(m): 2:16pm On Oct 20, 2013
The bible never said that God rejected his sacrifice. What KJV says is: 'he had not respect'. Which to me is in between outright rejection and an honourable acceptance. Cain's sacrifice scored a mere pass. The reasons are clear as indicated in Hebrews 11:4 and I think this broadly answers your other questions.

All our interaction with God is on the platform of faith. Real Christianity is Faith not a religion. It is faith that expresses our righteousness. Without faith we cannot please God and without pleasing Him we cannot receive from Him.

So the short answer is: Cain didn't have the faith to make his sacrifice remarkable. Unfortunately many sacrifice all sorts of things thinking this pleases God but have no desire whatsoever to believe Him.

This country lacks everything. Nothing of any value lies in abundance and here you have people retiring. I just don't get it. Mister there is no investment better than that you have spent your life building. Get back to work and invest in it till your time is up. Real people don't quit.

Politics › Re: My Encounter With An Armed Robber This Afternoon by Reference(m): 9:30am On Oct 16, 2013
Sloan: Most Nigerians are getting more disillusioned and stupid not to connect the dots. The robber would not be trying to snatch your life and money if he had enough food to eat, jobs and a decent life! Notice this happened in Abia - iboland! OP, you are lucky your support for the retardeen did not cost you not only your N 2,500 but your life itself. Meanwhile the retardeen is flying 10 jets at N 9 B per annum and ibos are the ones shouting fresh air! The retardeen walks around with all the army, airforce, navy and police, so he will never have to worry about a petty robber that could have killed you. I am losing any sympathy for Nigerians because they deserve every suffering and crappy life they get, just looking at the comments of people on this website.

I live in a country where average, random people can afford to go and buy bird food and feed the beds of the air for fun in their car parks just before they start work in the morning. What a sight when you see like dozens or hundreds of birds, playing around in a parking lot, chirping while eating the food being given to them by someone who is just any average person. The birds were never hungry in the first place but just for the fun of it! Meanwhile, a lot of Nigerians cannot afford to eat and feed themselves decently without stealing, corruption or being involved in some vice. Well, you all deserve your suffering, no need to worry! I am glad I can read your horror stories from a huge distance and not have my life messed around by a bunch of stu.pid country men who elect foo.ls like retardeen GEJ and their useless governors.
Once again, yet another misfire. Another cover for irresponsibility. Buck passing. It is not my fault. The government made me rob. Bad government makes me kidnap, vandalise pipelines, sell my vote, bad government made me steal billions from pension funds, vice-president says bad government made me ask for a 3 billion naira official house.

The question is. Are these personal decisions or not. How much is a hoe and how much is a .22 calibre. When will people just accept that no matter how poor, how uneducated a person is, he has the capacity to do right. Will he then praise GEJ or government when he does.
