Because you see , Nigerians really do not want to fight corruption. They do not want leaders who will develop innovative economies like that of Japan, Germany, China, South Korea, Singapore and so on....economies that can stand even when the country is devastated. Because most Nigerians think that their economy is a many tiered angel food cake with vanilla icing. And they think that their leaders are meant to get them closer to the cake so that they can have a bite. They do not care about how the ingredients for the cake are to be sourced.Even the Niger Delta people....who by rights deserve a big slice of the cake....talk about their being a big producer of oil...as if it makes them have a divine right to everything...so that they can enjoy a life of leisured rich men and women....using their money to import luxuries.

But the truth is there is no national cake. It does not exist. The oil we have is not enough. America is going to be energy independent by 2030. As are many European countries...and even China(which most Africans nowadays regard as their new saviour.....yes....saviour indeed). That leaves us with one option...we have to work for our money. Get that into our heads....that the resources we have are severely limited....the same idea China and India got decades ago....and then we would be forced to develop an innovative economy...free of govt corruption...because in such an economy massive looting means that light, water and power won't function, schools would be bad, health would be bad...and the workers won't be in good shape at all to keep the economy firing.

This oil is noting more than a means of deception. Because we have oil....and also in the past groundnut, cocoa, oil palm and so on....we think that we have an endless cornucopia of money.....and we forget that science and tech can make these our sources of money redundant. That is why we must stop thinking that we have an endless supply of money. The oil price drop should have woken us up. We no longer have the money. Our Salvation lies in a concise and comprehensive industrialization programme.....over the next ten years.

Nigeria must industrialize. It is our only hope and our only salvation....and the means by which I would be judging APC come May 29. Nigeria has no choice...as does Africa. We cannot be the world's raw material provider.....we must also become the workshop of the world. And we can do it.

One case can not create a law, it is common statistics. Further, look for people in that your state that earns 35k and see how well their life is going, bring that they are not in the boss's list.

Even if you want to tell them, because of guilt, make sure that your can't find you. Relay the information to your former colleagues with almost care. They shouldn't know your address, because that might be a risk. All the best.

Multinational company always select the best candidates through their recruitment process. It is never based on tribal or religious affiliation. If Yorubas are more in Oil and Gas industry, it simply means they are the best trained in terms of skills and education relevant for oil and gas. It is not as if they dashed them the positions. Maybe if Niger Deltans who already have quota system gets more relevant education and skills, we will see more of them in oil and gas industry. Mind you, they are already participating as militants and oil bunkerers.

The Niger Deltans are missing a very important point.

They should not have accepted amnesty, they should have continued with the bombings, kidnappings and vandalism. They should not have left the creeks immediately Jonathan won. By so doing they sent the wrong message of we want POWER and MONEY not DEVELOPMENT. Unfortunately, their kinsman did just that but only a selected few became rich and they are all crooks. The ordinary man in that region is still suffering.

So what do we do now that GEJ is no longer in power? I say let them cripple the economy if they have the power to do so. However, Nigeria will not breakup because a democratic process did not favour a particular ethnic group because when it did, they did not call for a breakup. The suffering they are all yapping is there already maybe they are all missing it.

This transition will only make the country stronger and at the end of the day, even if they get resource control in the Niger Delta, they will still lag behind in terms of development because they have been made intellectually lazy because of oil. Heck! with 13% derivation and very low population they have not left anyone behind since 1999.

What I am trying to say to you is that Jonathan's loss is not a loss for the SS. jonathan was a mistake, he was the worst product the SS could have put forward to represent them. You may not realise this yet but the greatest treasure we have in Nigeria is our population and our diversity. The oil in just the cherry on top of the cake. Our population gives us both a cheap labour force and a market for finished goods. Our diversity has created a unique culture different from people from other parts of the world and this ensures that no one can produce certain goods for us and at the same time we can market things that are unique to Nigeria to other nations. We are a blessed people. God made no mistake in making us Nigerians and he spared no effort in blessing us. We just need to get leaders that focus on caring for the majority of our people and not pleasing the high and mighty. I know I am giving you a sermon but I truly believe you need one.

Democracy did not exist to get you kinsman to be president. It existed so the best man be allowed to do the job determined by majority.
