Like someone said earlier, if you are not living in Osun, stop praising Aregbesola.
That man is so full of himself and lack leadership skills.

The pics attached in this post are for Gbongan down to Odeomu road which they started working on just like a month ago.
The Ilesha Osogbo road that he claimed will be dualised is still there. And truth be told, for someone that thinks Osun derserves better than Oyinlola when he was there, I can boldly say Aregbesola is worse.

He runs the state like his personal family and thinks he the best thing to happen to Osun
the state was crested.

OYES has failed due to the fact that he really has no plan for th
TV/Movies › Re: Shouldnt DSTV Subscription Be On Pay As You Use Basis? by rman: 4:24pm On Mar 29, 2012
Here we go again!

The cheap options are there in the market, go for it if you feel DSTV is ripping you off.
HiTv once had this soccer rights and still could not compete with DSTV.

We complain about DSTV and MTN knowing fully well they are the best availabale but still we expect them to be the cheapest.
No one gave these companies any undue adavantage, they simply know how to do bussiness right. The last time I checked, it is a competitive market.

Instead of all these whinings online, please patronise the service providers that you feel is pocket friendly.

Enough of these MTN and DSTV stuff. We are not being held at gun point to patronize them.
Satellite TV Technology › Re: DSTV Is Taking Nigerians For Granted! by rman: 8:27pm On Mar 28, 2012
Nigerians with our hypocritical cries and sentimental statements online.
DSTV and MTN are not taking anyone for granted or ripping anyone off.
They are the market leaders because they are simply the best available.

The last time I checked, we have fstv, Hitv, startimes etc, why don't we stick with those? Because we all know the quality of service isn't close to dstv. Nigerians are the only set off people that refuse to dump companies that are taking them for granted or ripping them off. Something must be wrong with us mentally or we are just liars.

So far a gun isn't pointed to our heads to buy their products, then the choice is strictly in our hands.
Enough of these govt should do something about foreign company's when we know they are just doing the business right.

All I can say is the Atheist now have point.
We all have proved with this post that religion is evolving.

Who knows what we are going to argue about in 30yrs years time.
The more people become exposed to better education and technology the more logical reasoning will put to rest some of the religous myths.

I hope and pray it is true and it works.
If it works, I hope we will not forget this date ten years to come when they start making profits.

Ten billion dollars isn't small money and if we fail to do it ourselves, let serious business men come in with their money and do it.
When darkness becomes history, I hope wouldn't come out and start claiming giants and rip offs

kambili190: ok ok, if he wants to endure all this, waste some years of his life to live as a stranger in a different country with a woman he doesn't want to be with, fine!
my mother and my father would beat the sh.t out of my brother if he did something like this for money and papers. where is the family's pride? well. people sell their souls to the devil, to the money.

maybe, he will have a better life in the future but this is not the case yet and he doesn't know what the future holds. I hope, grandma will leave him some good amount of money when she will be asked to push the daisies but we don't know how much there is to be left. and just because you made it to America does not mean you will live the dream. cause the dream can turn out to be a nightmare. without good education, you have to work hard for little money or you become criminal and hope you don't get locked up. people in Africa have finally to understand that money does not grow on trees in western countries.
In addition, even if he gets lucky and the woman leaves him money after death or divorce, he is still going to lose everything. Lide isn't about taking short cuts. If you don't have a clear personal plan as an individual of making it life u will soon find yourself poor again.
I know a group of four young friends that graduated in Naija and one decides to take this route. 5 years later the three with plans in Naija have made it big (one works for mobil, one became a contractor in abuja and the 3rd works for a telecoms firm)
The guy that left kept lying to them until went to the US on holiday and couldntt believe how hard it was for him.
He is back in Naija trying to start afresh with the help of the friends he left in a situation he feels holds no opportunity.

Like someone said earlier " Be careful what you wish for"

This topic and the attached pictures is absolutely misleading.
I was expecting students in classrooms with ooen books and question papers and the supervisor looking the other way or something like such.
This pictures could be the normal last minute chit chat amongst students in trying to know if they're missing out on something important.

I didn't see anything related to cheating, unless we are claiming UTME is been taken on road sides, abandoned building or standing outside.

We should be careful about what we put online people

dmainboss: You are sooooo wrong and seriously, you sound like a self righteous deluded perfectionist. You imagine you live in a eutopia I guess. Please wake up to reality. You cannot pay people salaries that cannot meet their basic needs and expect them to render good service. These people are given targets to meet. If they don't meet it, they get fired. Tell me how they can meet it if their take home pay cannot take them home? And for you to talk about MTN paying more than they can afford? You kidding right? MTN broke even in ome year. Have you ever seen a business plan that makes a one year break even projection?
It is soo disheartening to hear self rrighteous, cocky, know it all f00ls like you going on a senseless deluded rant! You need a very hot slap to wake you up!
The guy is absolutely right. What services do they render. It is not about mtn breaking even, it is about paying what is fair based on value added. If graduates take up jobs meabt for secondary school or ond graduates due to the unemployment situation, don't blame mtn, blame those in power.
Graduates work as drivers in some of these company's, do u pay them as drivers or university graduates? If u feel u deserve better, leave.
Phones › Re: NLC Reopens MTN Call Centre In Jos by rman: 9:14pm On Mar 19, 2012
sharp man: You don't seem to understand me.

I am an employee but i do not believe my employer owes me. I take it that i render a service and the amount to be paid was mutually agreed. I believe i am underpaid but i don't blame it on my employer.....i blame myself. so if i want a better pay, i either renegotiate or withdraw my service and take it elsewhere.

The idea that because you spent five years in the University so u must be paid a certain amount is just wrong. You are paid based on the value you add to the organization. Better still, you are paid based on the value YOUR EMPLOYER thinks you add to the organization.

So if i want more, i simply develop myself to increase my capacity to earn more. I also ensure that i add real and verifiable value to the organization i work for.

Note that i am not saying the pay is okay.....i for one CANNOT take that. i was merely responding to the quote in my first comment.

Most of our so called graduates don't reason this way. Most of these jobs don't require graduates but the unemployment situation in the country has made graduates take them up.
Will the employers pay them for value added or just cos they are graduates? I believe people should be paid based on value added to a company. I have seen graduates working as drivers in a multinational company. Are u going to pay such as drivers or graduates? I think they should be paid as drivers.
can employees actually determine what they feel they should be paid? The ans is NO. If you think you deserve better, leave.

Beaf: When I call them the worst hypocrites to walk the Earth many get angry. Yet you have loudmouthed mofo's like Aregbesola and the frog-like Tinubu who talk from both their mouths and arses at the same time while claiming to be "progressives."

Almost all politicians are in it to be closer to awuf oil money. Yet, instead of the generality of people who are being cheated to take sensible paths, you find them defending these fools because of ethnic affinity.

Shameful.
Aregbesola and Tinubu are not members of the house. You try too hard on nairaland to make them look bad

You always ask people to address the issue of the topic but you are doing the exact opposite based on your response to this issue.
Politics › Re: Dialogue Between FG And Boko Haram Fails by rman: 5:36pm On Mar 18, 2012
nagoma: @sweetnecta
We need peace especially we NORTHERNERS and mediation is certainly one of the ways to go about it. Especially as many months and getting into years of forceful and other security measures have not completely solved the problem. However I do not see how Datti Ahmed will continue negotiation when the government is leaking out his name and every move made in the negations. This is not how the Kebbi hostages saga or any other sensitive negotiations are held. This is not how the MEND negotiations ( that are now breached were held) . If the president is not ready to explore all avenues in solving a clearly most serious problem facing Nigeria let him admit that. He can concentrate on ruling the south and let the north go. We are happy to go , after all it's the SOUTHERNERS that "voted" him in , let him rule them as he clearly doesn't care about northern lives. North for NORTHERNERS and south for SOUTHERNERS .
Sweetnecta has only said the truth.
This BH issue degenarated to this level because deep down a lot of northerners are in support. BH plan and strategise among the people and the day northerners want this to stop is the day the FG will make serious breakthrough and the issue resolved. If BH like, let them kill their own negotiator because his name was made public.
And PLEASE stop comparing this to mend, because the cause are completely different. We should never allow religious sentiments to cloud our sense of reasoning. The FG should not be negotiating with them in the first place. They are terrorists and a buch of criminals as well. Religion and Ethinicity have always been used to seek sympathy from the populace to perpetrate criminality and BH is just doing exactly the same in Nigeria

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Europa League : Manchester United Vs Athletic Bilbao (2 - 3) On March 8th 2012 by rman: 11:09pm On Mar 08, 2012
Three Spanish teams have a very good chance of making it to the last 8 of the Europa league while two will be represented in the champions league. This says a lot about the quality of the La Liga.

I have also noticed how the best play makers in soccer right now are developed in Spain. The best one in the EPL is Spanish (Silva).

English teams needvto go and learn how these players are being groomed.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Europa League : Manchester United Vs Athletic Bilbao (2 - 3) On March 8th 2012 by rman: 10:39pm On Mar 08, 2012
La Liga players have a quality on the ball that is rarely seen in other leagues.
The way these Bilbao players move and control the ball is a beauty. Their composure is classic.  EPL is popular,  YES, but true class is in Spain, NO SENTIMENTS.

Are we this shallow now as Nigerians?
Is it possible these cards are actually fake?
And what has SouthAfrican investments in Nigeria got to do with the issue on ground?

We all like to form big and relevant over nothing. Take over those company's and run them down the way NITEL and HiTv was run.
If we learn to things right all these things would not have happened.

If we like, lets us be claiming big and relevant over the internetvand looking for ways to take over investment that foreigners came to build up in our own back yard. We will continje to remain backward if we don't tell ourselves the truth.
