U see that preboyes world, near trans. Its a deadly place at night. Robbers ,cultists, pickpockets are always at that area at night
Funny thing is there is police presence in that area and a suya man. So how manage. Im sure the useless student was coming from ace mall. When I went to ace mall to toast a gal,but all the girls j met and saw resemble hook up slay hungry queen's. From up to down. I shook my head. Secondly no tears for the dead to the student that got crushed. The stupidbstate govt should make an overhead pedestrian bridge just like uniben did. They will see someone on top speed, but instead of them to wait, they jut dash into the road, hoping that the driver will apply brakes. Create a pedestrian bridge simple.

Good morning Nairaland family
So today is actually the worst day of my life.
I woke up this morning and received a call from someone who claims to Mr John and works at UBA, he told me about my atm pin that was supposed to be sent to me and that he was from UBA to help me do that, well to cut the long story short,he transferred all the money from my account and am in serious pain.
What I noticed from the call was that this guy knew me and am certain that my information was leaked to him by my bank as I have observed the way the staffs of this UBA branch do converse with scammers. He knew I recently opened my UBA account and that I was told to expect an ATM pin or come back to the bank if I don't receive one so am certain one of the bankers are involved.
I know there are a lot of learned and experienced people here so I need your advice on the next step to take and the appropriate authority to report these UBA staffs to.
I would appreciate if anyone can help me get the details of this bastard as this his is number

Pls mods help me move to front page so as to get more opinions and advise

Which story are you cutting shortundecided

placeofallure:
It was my final year in the university, and I was writing my project. There was an internal rancour then, in my school, University of Ilorin among the lecturers. I think it's ASUU related. There was a directive that if you still want to be a lecturer, you have to reapply. Most lecturers were averse to this. The stubborn ones especially, refused to reapply and they were given the marching orders. This development meant gross shortage of staff. In a whole department, there may be only 3 lecturers remaining.

I was in the middle of writing my project and I was unfortunate, one of the sacked lecturers was my supervisor.

Now, I was brilliant, daring (youthful exuberance) nonchalant and maybe stupid too. My project was a long essay kind of thing. I had written my first and second chapters off hand and my supervisor (one of the very best) had approved it, but I've not gone to collect my papers from him. He only told me in class to come for them. No rough notes anywhere, I would just sit and effortlessly, ideas would come. That was my undoing. By the time I met my supervisor to collect my manuscripts, so I can proceed with chapters 3 and 4, he was sacked already. He then told me he's not going to release the manuscripts to me, that they are now his intellectual property. After all, he'd made corrections on them. Oops! I couldn't believe it at first. I begged him for another week or so. Meanwhile, deadline for project submission was fast approaching.

The day it finally dawned on me that he wouldn't budge, was my most unforgettable day in the university. I went home crying. Thankfully, none of my friends cum roommates was around, so I could cry my cry uninterrupted. Till date, I've never cried as I did that day. It was a Friday, submission was on Monday.

New supervisors have been assigned to the affected students. I'm meeting mine on Monday, but I should meet him with at least my two chapters not with an empty hand. This means, between Friday and Monday morning, I should have rewritten my two chapters. Remember, I wasn't keeping any notes, I wrote from my head. What a stupid thing to do!

After crying for about 3 hours or so, I took a shower, put on my best dress for motivation, applied small make up and headed to the library. I got there around 4pm and was there till 10pm when they closed and sent us out. That same night, I entered class, was there till morning, went home to shower and eat, returned to class same morning and was there till the next morning, a Sunday. I went home to shower, eat and attend church ( I've always been churchy) from church, I didn't go home, I went straight to class and was there till Monday morning, Done! I left to freshen up and go see my new supervisor.

At his office...
After exchanging pleasantries and explaining who I am, he collected my work and studied it for a while. Then he said, "You seem to know what you are doing, approved! " He made a few corrections to the reference part and that was it I thought. He called me back as I was about leaving, "But where are you in this department all these while and I never noticed you? We should be going out"

Ehn! After all the hard work that I put into this? Devil is a liar! I immediately knelt down and told him, I'm like his daughter. He said, "You are not my daughter but I'm letting you off my hook because you know what you're doing." Touching my papers again, "You know what you are doing. Go!" I sped off with the speed of lightning.

This is one experience I'll never forget. I learnt from myself.

You write beautifully well. And your written piece is well punctuated.

What's your faculty?

A lot of us claim to be sapiosexual in words of mouth, but our actions usually say contrary.

An average Nigerian guy wouldn't mind dumping a smart girl who gat the brain of Michelle Obama for a gorgeous empty vessel with Kim kardashian's body

For girls;many of them don't know what they want.
The very few that know what they want and deliberately chase it are becoming extinct species

I am waiting for those in programming to help us out.

I am thinking Data, JavaScript or Python ( which one will you recommend for beginners please)

What do you want to do?
Both are beginner's friendly.
JavaScript is Corely for the Web(Front end) while python is a back end programming language which is also widely used in the Data Field.

They are both cool languages for beginners...

I've switched to Linux already.
I did that last week, and it's pretty making sense with Linux.
Maybe as time goes on I'll switch. Just following your suggestions in one of your previous post to start with becoming a platform developer; Shopify,WordPress or sales force.
One tech guy named Aaron jack on YouTube also recommended it as the best way to start programming.

Hey! I am currently facing the same issue of low/Absence of finance so I totally understand what you're going through... Trust me it's not been easy but I am fighting against all odds. I just entered JavaScript like this and hopefully , by December I should have covered JavaScript and React at least to the point of getting a junior developer role. So I would help you in any way I can. It's the Vow I made to myself while starting out with nothing but just a laptop. So if you are in Lagos and close to Ikotun/Ijegun area we can link up and I'll send you the whole videos you need to become a Front end developer.

GIT & GITHUB
HTML
CSS
JAVASCRIPT
REACT( ones you learn this one you can start applying for jobs)
REACT NATIVE( this one is for Mobile development)

I would give you this videos all for free! But you would have to take care of my transport. Godspeed!

Thanks I really do appreciate
I'm based in ikotun, somewhere around Abaranje and ijegun.
Can you pm me your number,I don't know how to use the pm feature here on Nairaland

Programming / I Want To Learn Programming. Please How Do I Start? by SavageBoy: 6:51am On Aug 01, 2021
I've always wanted to learn programming, but procrastination and lack of proper time management haven't really made me settle down to start this thing. But now I've made a resolve to learn coding no matter what it may cost.

But here is the issue:

I know of a couple of sited like tutsgalaxydotnet and freecoursesitedotcom where one can download paid udemy videos for free. I've gotten a WordPress course from tutsgalaxy.net before. But when I tried downloading one HTML5 and CSS3 course from these sites it wasn't going through. I'm using vidmate for the download. I was awake through out the night, and still wasn't able to download anything(I even had some unused night plan that got wasted)

YouTube is another option but I prefer going with an organized tutorial course. Please for the tech guys here, how did you learn programming without paying a dime?(I no get money to dey buy course).

Which other sites(or other platforms) can I use to get paid and organized tutorial videos for free?

I know some of you would suggest codecademy and freecodecamp but I don't have much of a resource to get data regularly for these.

Or will YouTube channels like Traversy media just be good enough to learn HTML,CSS and JavaScript to a competent level.
I'm focused on becoming a shopify developer within the shortest time period possible.
