I am Igbo but I have to admit when it comes to entertainment, information technology and investments Yorubas are heads and shoulders over every other tribe in Nigeria. We Igbos control sports (80 % of SE is Igbo), English Nollywood and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). These are the facts.
Sports abi football?

It is only in Nigeria that people equate soccer with SPORTS smh.

no, the topic is cyber crime not just fraud.
That is why the Economic and Financial CRIMES commission is involved.

Cybercrime?
That's ambiguous...
What is ambiguous about it?

cyber crime should not be restricted to "yahoo-yahoo" alone now should it?
Or are you suggesting that other forms of cyber crime are not serious enough to warrant attention?

Anyone that believes Nigeria has more scammers than the USA or Russia is as gullible as the writer of that article.
CelebritiesRe: Hushpuppi Blasts Deji Adeyanju For Saying EFCC Should Investigate Him by scholes0(m):
Nigerians are bipolar

Today they will support someone like Noble Igwe for out of the blue naming businesses and people EFCC should unprovocatively go after, calling his actions "Noble". Tomorrow, same people will go after someone else for doing the same.

I don't support crime in any sort of form, but I honestly wish EFCC was going after the "untouchable criminals" of this country with the same enthusiasm and vigour. Yes internet crime is common in Nigeria but Nigeria is not the leading country for internet scams, on the contrary... we aren't even in the top 10 globally. That the country has been made a global "scapegoat" or the international face of internet fraud is part ignorance part racism on the part of the people promoting such an image.

If You find that unbelievable then you have also fallen into that global crowd mentality, because the statistics are out there for anyone who cares to make a simple 1 minute research to see, but the world is lazy.

https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/950/27279937997_1ffc45ee0d_b.jpg

On the front of political corruption however, Nigeria is undoubtedly in the top 5 Globally. Yet EFCC is muum on that. undecided

Etsakos and Ebiras esecially. Okpella is in the same local government as this groom right?
Anioma attire is different though, they wear that white cloth called akwa ocha together with igbo accessories, while the rest wear materials more similar to aso oke / ofi and use different accessories. But they tie it across the shoulder in similar pattern.

What is the name of that leather strand horsewhip esan and etsakos ut across their shoulder? I love it!

CultureRe: What Is The Meaning Of The Name ‘Iyunloye’? by scholes0(m): 4:41am On May 13, 2018
Africaman:
Hi,

Breaking it down, 'Iyunloye' means:

Iyun = A type of beads in Yorubaland
ni = is
Oye = Chieftaincy

Thus, 'Iyun beads are as valuable/worthy as a chieftaincy title'.

This is similar to the name 'Segilola', where 'Segi' is another type of Yoruba beads,

Segi = Another type of beads in Yorubaland.
ni = is
Ola = Wealth

That name means 'Segi beads are wealth'.

Hope this helps.

ciao
Nice one.

Ola is not really just "wealth" in Yoruba though.

Wealth is just a very simplistic translation of Ola... which is more in the line of "Glory"

Abi because you see dome, you dey think say na church dem go open?

The Dome is an entertainment centre that opened in Abuja.
If you want to ass lick muslims based on your own ignorance, na your wahala be that. And even if the church supports this so what? isn't it better than ordering fatwas and supporting suicide bombings? undecided

Answer those 2 questions first then we go from there.
Youa re still wrong to place Eeguns and Orishas in the same bracket.

Orishas are orisha, Eeguns are Eegun.

you think i made it up? Well, go and read "History of Yoruba by Samuel Johnson. It will be an eye opening for you
Yes you made it up.

There is no part of Samuel Johnson's book that says Islam was in Yorubaland before Egungun which is one of the most basic elements of Yoruba culture. Egungun is a form of ancestor veneration which is a very primordial element of human spirituality as a whole, talk less of Islam.

EarthXmetahuman:
I'm pretty sure if Isis existed in the days of danfodio, their caliphate will be the one running things in the north now.

The fact that the world now thinks forcing people into caliphate is an act of terrorism doesn't make danfodio type of caliphate right.
If danfodio tried that stunt now, he will be declared a terrorist.

Except Sunni and shia declaring each other fake muslim and killing each other everyday.

The fact that you want to blind yourself from the reality that some Hausas still think yoruba muslims are not pure muslim like them doesn't change the fact that it is happening.

You can say they are not muslim, that totally depends on your own enlightenment. But it is happening.

eccept the government decided to favor the muslims and christians
if we declare holidays for traditons like Oro, I'm sure there will be enough publicity for Oro day too.

Yeah. Ban on Islam. Every ban on any Islam tradition is ban on Islam but they can demand that Oro priests be arrested for celebrating a part of his own religion.

Trucks can be stopped and searched by anyone either male or female and at anytime.
Can Police stop and search hijab women anyhow they want in the north without consequences?
My brother, you are just super.
