I think its too early to start giving credit to the acting president. I dont want to beleive he is now building a concensus. All those arrand him are borrowed soilders which have their Allegiance else where. The time is even short and it will be a political mis caculation for him to contest in 2010.

This is my usual route Home - Office. I was actually going to my office and had to drop from the Hold-up rushed to the scene. Of all the posts I have read on this thread, I can only submit that the senate are empowered to make laws and enact constitutions. I think they acted within their constitutional responsibilities. Even if the constitution only restricted on transmitting letter to the senate by the Prexi before the VP can be recognized as acting prexi, can't the lawmakers form a quorum and re enact the constitution bc of peace and progress of this country ?

For security purpose, I will not mention the senator’s name. He represent my constituency and from same party. He is an altruism leader and he is trying his best. I belief that the elites have betrayed our trust and very selfish but some issues are not meant for the immature. Me and you can make the difference. Something should be done to curb them.

You where at fault because the pre election process was shabby, what were the requirements or prerequisite?, factor to become the POLITICAN figure of the year in Nairaland ?  What were the ideology behind it ? the motive  and objective? What message are you passing across?. Am sure if it were base on incisive and meaningful contribution he wouldn’t have won. He won bc too many premature are here and inordinate popularity.

You need to be more serious, objective and proactive in moderating this section. what are your plans for this political section in 2010? I have invited some elites and Big Nigerian politicians into this forum but was discourage at the end by the gradual decrease of quality of contents, topics and rampant absurd languages used in this section. You make it worst by s-electing BECOMRICH as the political figure of the year in Nairaland. It potrays Nairaland as a child play, a pro disintegration, confusionist and where sense of purpose, incisiveness, ideology and intellect contributions to issues are lacking. Seriously, elites are reading this forum, professors, Drs, a senator comes here to ganner opinion for his "papper work". I also observed that there are a lot of teenagers, pupils that have access to internet as hijacked this forums. I have complained before. pls do something b4 nairaland , ??

I concur. Parental failure and religious belief are the cause of this problem. His father is among the forefront agitating for Islamic bank in a secular country like Nigeria. Although i dont think there is any connection anyway but these guys are been brainwashed into this act claiming they have LADAH reward in heaven.

What is the quality and credibility of this guy kosovo ? Is nairaland a childs play ?

I thought this exercise is going to be a serious conscientious one, purposeful and objectivity but having seeing the first two name list out of the five people that made the poll, made me to conclude that it is a charade.

Sir what was your prerequisite of choosing this 5 people?
Is it because they were multiple nominated or their popularity based on absurdity?
What is there political contribution? I knew one out of the list that have never contributed meaningfully to any threads or topic except “off topic” and “absurdity”.

I am not challenging your Ingenuity but I was expecting Nairalander that have contributed meaningfully, incisively, analytically, sensible, positively, proactively on Threads/topics, suggestion and opinions. And if any of them has, can you please print a sample out for reading ?

Good development. I have been having headache concerning this and it had made me not to contribute on issues here. Nairaland is bastardized by Teenagers( Youthful exuberance)

It is a pity Nigeria system of education as gone awry. Public school was better in 70s and 80s, teachers were serious, discipline and diligent to their work. There were plans for improvement and training of teachers then, like “COREL and SANDSWITCH”. Basic amenities such as library, laboratory equipment, sport utilities and good furniture with conducive learning environment. All the above mention had been eroded away and dilapidated since corruption came into our government. Private school is the best place to train our children of this generation except there is a revolution in that sector because they have basic amenities for good and conducive learning environment and highly educated tutors but the are extra expensive.  Let me stop here.

This is not about negativism but abuse of office, gross mismanagement and misappropriation of public fund. You said Asia, so which country? What is their political and economic situation compare with NIGERIA?. This lawmakers, what have they done in their various constituency? Who created the insecurity phenomenal? Haven’t you see politician working freely in the public? If your hand work is clean its even the masses that will protect you.
