Viknat:And how do u know that.... Black man and his weird beliefs about after life.. |
hakeem4:I had to correct u because u mentioned someone earning 1300 dollars and paying tax. There's no way u will be on such low wage and pay tax. Govt will even put u on support sef. |
hakeem4:Have u heard of tax return? People on minimum wage hardly pay any tax...they claim their tax back. Pls do a lot of research b4 commenting on what u know little about. However, I agree if u earning well in naija...u may want to rethink any relocation plan. |
Black man cannot handle freedom- He will definitely abuse it. An average black man cannot be trusted to make sound judgement if given a choice. Thats the truth. Africans love freedom but detest the responsibility that comes with it. I watched a film on netflix-dangerous lies and was shocked how the black guy kept commiting one blunder upon another as regards choices... and I wonder if that's the way an average black man is wired. What africa needs are brutal dictators albeit effective and achievers. All these democracy stuffs is waste of time and resources, it's a white man concept. It will never get Africa anywhere. Covenant university is what it is today because of the no nonsense attitude of the founder Left to Nigerians, that school would have become rubbish by now. What we should be talking is how people like bishop oyedepo can ascend the leadership mantle in this country. |
Raydos:That man built over 30 thousands housing units targeting the poor and middle class. U see all those estates in Lagos housing working class...they were built by him. The present ones only build estates that even upper class can barely afford. |
Raydos:Pls I take exception to lateef Jakande aka baba kekere. The rest, I gladly dash u to do unto them as ur heart desire. |
Kokaine:But a lot of Muslims supported the Chechnya guy n justified his actions. 2 Muslim Presidents- Turkey n Indonesia actually came out and gave tacit statement to the guys action. Even here on nairaland, a thread was created where the writer justified the boy's action and further threatened serious repecurssion for whosoever ridicules Mohammed. That doesn't look like some criminal elements hiding under the cloak of Islam. Seems to me that's the core belief of an average Muslim. |
Microwhy:Western civilisation is hypocritical...I agree. But this una own civilisation, I just don't know what to call it. How can u go about killing people just because of a cartoon picture. Do u guys sincerely think going violent anytime u are offended will make people listen to u. Besides what's the big deal about Mohammed's picture. There are historical depiction of Mohammed in ancient drawings n literature. My conclusion is that modern day ardents of Islam are increasingly becoming intolerant n violent in nature. That's why no nonsense countries like China will continue to be brutal to Muslims within its territory. |
jesmond3945:Diversity in export automatically takes u off 3rd world status. for an average Nigerian to earn 1000 dollars monthly, nigeria will boast of a GDP of over a trillion dollars. With average GDP per capita of more than 10 thousand dollars and total export in manufactured goods n services will also be over 250 billion dollars. It's not an easy job...it takes lots of hardwork n discipline..ask Chinese. Most 3rd world nations are poor because they export only one primary product which is naturally insufficient. Same thing with Nigeria. Nigeria is not even recognised among the significant ICT service export nation so I wonder where your fallacy statement came from..So I'm not even going to debate that. |
jesmond3945:Is cheaper to live in any 3rd world country...not only naija. Yet that doesn't make them better. U live like a king earning 1000 dollars in Burundi, Togo malawi or any 3rd world country. The question is how many people in those countries earn 1000 dollars per month? Whats the disposable income in those countries? That's the point. Enough of all these deceptive analogy, they only intend to cover up for this govt inefficiency. |
thebosstrevor1:There are so many factors of production, cheap labour is only one of them n is becoming insignificant anyway. Wages are very low in nigeria compared to cost of living. It's a fallacy to say cost of living is cheap in nigeria because it's not. For a country with developing economy status, nigeria is expensive to live in. |
thebosstrevor1:Nigeria just like any other 3rd world country is cheap to live in compared to developed countries.... The question is what is the purchasing power of the citizens themselves .....Most Nigerians spend their salaries on basic items like food, shelter and other necessities. The disposable income is very low and that's why Nigerians are poor. And the more the naira is devalued against the dollar, the worse it gets. Most especially for a country like Nigeria that's import dependent. |
Pls can mods send this to front page. bosstrevor1, what do u think of this amputee. Don't u think he needs to visit Lie Mohammed. |
Cantonese:It's a well known fact that the eastern region takes the lead when it comes to the number of aged spinsters in this country. I know an igbo lady in the east who's 30 and not married. She's not perturbed because her elder sister who's 35 is yet to bring a man to the house. Instead of u guys to do a retrospection and find out the root cause of this endemic in your region, u are busy fighting anybody that points it out...justifying a greedy n primitive practice. In case u dont know....culture is dynamic, its never static. There's nothing special or sancrosant about bride price. U people should continue to hide behind one finger....your report card is on the way. |
Gerrard59:I absolutely agree with u. I live in Europe n I noticed their biggest problem is inability to successfully commercialize their research works. Thats why there's no big tech company in Europe. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be attracting the right immigrants possibly due to the glass ceiling culture. Native Europeans are wary of empowering foreigners, they prefer them to be subservient in the middle income class trap. U can't get the best out of people this way. |
onyechez:Pls tell us practical usefulness of 5g as it relates to end users. What are the so called game changers 5g will bring... And don't tell me I'll be able to download a movie in 5 secs because that's nonsense. Most hardware that can support the supposed application of 5g are still in infancy. Thats where the problem lies.. U obviously mixing technology with innovation. China has the former but struggling with the later. Chinese are very smart n discipline. They easily leverage on existing technology via reverse engineering to outwit any competitor. But to say they can innovate, the jury is still out on that......otherwise tell us a modern innovation that came out from China. |
Gerrard59:To be fair, China is trying but they lack the innovative culture seen in other advanced nations. They also have trust ussues and they lack they soft power that can propel the Chinese culture and lifestyle into hearts of many. Look at how western nations messed up 5G just because it's from China. Though, I also fail to see the usefulness of 5G. |

So what do u do with the naira equivalent in naija. Are u into importation? |
IamaNigerianGuy:There's nothing wrong with surrogacy...it's in the bible. It's far better than the baby factory rampant in the East. At least the fate of the baby is known. Your argument of poor women as surrogate mothers is baseless..... Do u think that woman cleaning your office toilet is happy with her job? How much is she being paid to perceive your stench for good numbers of years in her life? This is the real world. The poor serve the rich. Life isn't fair, get used to it. U are even serving nigerian politicians in case don't know. |
IamD18:The above fails to explain why the eastern region has the highest number of spinsters in their late 30s n 40s with no hope of finding husband. U people have no idea the consequence of what u supporting.. Wait until your land is filled with lonely elderly women with no family or support in old age. Nonsense. |
PhiliptheArab:How many Nigerians earn 70 thousand naira per month that u expect them to pay council tax of 150 pounds. Besides a lot of countries with low wages have beautiful urban landscape. It has nothing to do with tax, it's the mindset of our leaders and possibly the followers. |
phineas:See tinubu supporters...bunch of touts n vagabonds. These are the thugs used to disrupt the last EndSARS... real Yoruba youths prostate for elders, this one attracting curse into his life...provided it was ever meaningful. Let me tell u something...continue carrying guns for politicians, U will die for nothing n your life will be reported on the news as just a number. |
Present politicians ruling Yoruba states are the most useless ever. They have no idea what governance is all about or how to improve the livelihood of their people. Aregbesola practically indebted osun state to a point of no return, yet he's a powerful broker in Tinubu's caucus. And what's so special about the federal if not for the laziness and almajri spirit clouding the minds of Yoruba people. Southwest fared better when we were in opposition. It was the obsession with the federal that led to the rancour btw Awolowo and akintola. Now u guys want us to overlook Tinubu's evil practices just because he's the so called beacon of light, u people want us to keep silent on his atrocities. Tinubu that couldn't defend his people during the last EndSARS protest but sent soldiers to kill them at lekki toll gate. Buhari never for one day betrayed boko haram or the fulani herdsmen just because of presidency. He stood by them all through and that's why he's highly respected in the north. Tinubu isn't principled, he's a fair weather person. Yes today, No tmrw. He cannot be trusted to stand by his words and I'll never vote for him just because he's Yoruba. Come 2023, I'm voting for who will most likely RESTRUCTURE this nation, irrespective of presidency. That's what this country needs and not another looter at Aso rock. U guys claim other region are covering up their leaders atrocities, thus we should do the same in SW. What's my business if Gov Wike wipes out the whole indigenes of oyigbo n the igbos decide to keep silent. That is not a valid reason to overlook Tinubu's atrocious involvement at Lekki toll gate. He should pay for his SINS, our leaders must learn not to be greedy. Yorubaland has the potential to become the most successful black nation in the world if we get our acts right, look inwards, harness our resources appropriately and elect the right leaders just like the days of old. We don't need any federal presence. Yoruba youth should wake up from their self induced slumber. The One Nigeria project is reaching its terminal end, u don't want to be unprepared when it happens. U should fight for the future u want, young men build civilisation, not old men. Old men don't care about the future, why should they stress over something they won't be part of. A perfect example is how Buhari is wrecking the future of Nigeria. There is no future in Nigeria, stop hyperventilating over it. Focus on southwest Nigeria and build it. Thats the future. We should build alliance with our cousins in Benin republic n Togo. U guys have nothing in common Hausas or igbos, we are different. Resist the destructive extractive economic system practiced by Tinubu in Lagos and southwest in general. U may support his political aspiration in 2023, I don't have a problem with that but call him out as regards his governance style in southwest. Rumour is going around he has vowed to impose his son Seyi Tinubu as the next governor of Lagos. How does that help u and I as a Yoruba person. How does that affect his 2023 presidency if I criticize that decision. U guys should get ur head out of the sand and think for yourselves for once. This is Yoruba ronu we should be discussing, not those nonsense u guys are writing. |
danilmo:So u telling me Yoruba land can't be great without getting the presidency in 2023. That the future of the yoruba race is heavily dependent on a Yoruba man becoming president on 2023. Obasanjo that was president for 8 years, how did he help Yoruba people. U guys are not serious. Tinubu is gradually introducing almajiri economic system into Yorubaland. Where there will be few ultrawealthy elites and millions will be left to wallow in poverty. The latter will now depend on crumbs from former to survive. That's the Yoruba leader u want me to support because of 2023 aspiration. I keep saying it, the mindset of the present Yoruba youth is too docile. It lacks the will for disruptive innovation and economic renaissance we were formerly known for. Tinubu rent seeking economy has completely wrecked the soul of our youths. They now believe the best way to success is the pathway of least resistance. Look at our present wealthy elites, none of them are industrialists in the likes of odutola, Razaq okoya, bode Akindele, subomi balogun, otudeko etc. The present ones are simply wealth distributors not wealth creators- mostly beneficiary of oil blocks or oil licence. Unfortunately, the youths are not stepping up. They are equally joining the practice of making wealth via rent seeking or political patronage. No wonder for the first time in Yoruba history, to be at the federal level has become a do or die affair. Yoruba youths now believe in the sham called One Nigeria and do not want to hear anything about RESTRUCTURING- what a shame. Whether we like it or not, Tinubu's tenure as the leader of the Yoruba people has been the most retrogressive n depressing in modern era. U can't just point out to any legacy or remarkable achievement of his leadership despite being in charge for more than 10 years. Our competitive edge is being eroded, Yoruba politicians are as corrupt as their contemporaries if not worse, we struggling to latch on our indigenous ingenuity to bring out the greatness in us. Being at the centre will not change anything, it will only enrich Tinubu and his cronies. This is the Yoruba ronu we should be talking about. |
pretydiva:Seriously that your initial comment was just too dumb. I had to read it twice to be sure u actually wrote that... How old are u sef...let's start from there... |
iamDrRhymes:But there were bullet wound on people.... That's all I care about. You can go n look for your bullet hole. The army should explain how they managed to shoot at people's legs n arms, but made sure the bullets killed nobody. That's what I want to hear.
|
Doyin2:Power is might... Nigeria is no position to sanction USA or tell UK what to do. Deal with it. Tell your useless leaders to build Nigeria to first world status like China did, maybe they will then have a voice in the committee of nations. |
chloride6:She should know...yes the price of produce fluctuates but the variation is easily predictable. Is just like asking the MD of NNPC the price of gallon of crude oil and replying he has no idea because it fluctuates. I'm sure the layman on the street knows what the gallon of oil goes for in the international market. U know why? because therein lies our interest.... This woman is simply not interested in operations of her agency. I can tell u the price of cocoa, palm oil, cashew n rubber per tonne in the international market. Why? because I'm passionate about what we export as a nation. We keep complaining our farmers are being exploited n cheated of their sweat. The ones meant to help them with good quotation n bargain are simply empty head who have no idea of their job responsibilities. |
Agbegbaorogboye:I don't think it's about an almajri franchise. I'm sure it's the obsession with Tinubu presidency and 2023. They are desperate to do anything to make it a reality. If this includes overlooking the evil and oppressive acts of tinubu on his own people, they are fine with it. Very nauseating and selfish set of people. Lagos is suffocating from the rent seeking economy practiced by Jagagban n his puppet govt in Alausa. That state is being taxed to hell, while the govt does little or nothing in way of return. Above is the reason why they had to sent soldiers to shoot protesters at lekki just to allow for flow of revenue at the toll gate. Sometimes I wonder what will happen if the ACN faction of APC eventually lose out of the race in 2023. So what next after destroying their own legacy at home... These present Yorubas don't think...they got their heads in the sand or should I say tinubu's ass..... |
