Nigsrdumb:If we become innovative n an industrialised exporting nation, our currency will rise. The value of naira to dollar or pound will increase, it won't remain static at #500 to 1 dollar. That's the point people are missing. The value of a currency is directly proportional to the strength of the economy. |
Muna4real:Ever heard of Brexit..... |
LikeAking:Dont get it confused... China is not practicing communism... Modern China is more capitalist than USA... Communism breeds poverty n incompetence. China abandoned it in 1979. China communist party is simply an authoritarian regime that has the well being of its citizen at heart. |
Barbilius:Pls give me links... |
The former head of global athletics, Lamine Diack, has been found guilty of corruption for covering up Russian doping cases in exchange for bribes and sentenced to four years in prison – two of which have been suspended – and fined €500,000 (£455,000). Several other senior figures in track and field, including the president’s son Papa Massata Diack and the sport’s former head of anti-doping Gabriel Dolle, were also given jail sentences for their part in a scheme in which 23 Russian athletes had their doping sanctions waived so they could compete at the London 2012 Olympics and 2013 world championships in Moscow. The scheme, which was called “full protection”, was said by prosecutors to have been first suggested by Lamine Diack at a meeting with the then Russian sports minister, Vitaly Mutko, in November 2011. Diack Sr, president of what was then the International Association of Athletics Federations, then directly or indirectly solicited £3.1m from athletes to conceal their offences so they could continue competing. It was also alleged that Diack Sr was involved in a $1.5m (£1.15m) payment from Russia to finance election campaigns in Senegal in 2012, in exchange for slowing down doping cases targeting Russian athletes. However, the presiding judge in the court in Paris, Rose-Marie Hunault, said Diack was unlikely to go to jail. “Given your age you can expect conditional release,” she added. Diack said he would immediately lodge an appeal. Papa Massata Diack, who was tried in absentia because Senegal refuses to extradite him, was sentenced to five years in prison and fined €1m. The Diacks are also being investigated on suspicions of corruption in the awarding of the 2016 Olympic Games to Rio de Janeiro and the postponed 2020 Games to Tokyo. Formerly Habib Cissé, a senior IAAF lawyer, was given a three-year sentence and fined €100,000 while Dolle was sent to prison for two years and fined €144,000. The two others involved in the scheme, the Russian coach Alexei Melnikov and Valentin Balakhnichev, a former IAAF treasurer, were also found guilty and sentenced to three years and two years respectively. Balakhnichev also has to pay a £1.8m fine. Also, Russia opts to pay £5m fine for doping offences as it seeks way back into the sport. Massata Diack, Cissé, Melnikov and Balakhnichev have already been banned from athletics for life for causing “unprecedented damage” to the sport after being found guilty of corruption, blackmail and extortion. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/sep/16/lamine-diack-former-world-athletics-president-found-guilty-of-corruption-and-sentenced-to-two-years-in-prison |
MrBrownJay1:Don't worry, just wait until it hits u, then we will review your broader mindset. Just like Mike Tyson said "every boxer has a plan, until they enter the ring and get punched in the face". That was how that Twitter doctor was supporting rape victims irrespective of circumstances until that girl came for his blokos.... He's got a disciplinary hearing with GMC soon and God help him and his medical licence. That judgement was a scam and u know it. The lady just opened pension on top the guys head for nothing. Do u know how many men will be stuck with spousal support if they are forced to account for every relationship with the opposite sex. That's sufficient to bankrupt 99% of men. Well this is a lesson to all simps like Latner- once a simp for women, u are forever enslaved. The guy even paid off her mortgage while they were dating. Yet it wasn't even considered. The western nations should continue their stupidity and their pathway to self destruct. He go soon clear for their eyes. Moral decadence, weak family values n dysfunctional society are the initial symptoms of an empire in decline. |
Hathor5:Don't be rude ok...no need for insult. That's not a trait seen among beta simps. Even the canadian foreign minister didn't insult the Chinese man- He politely accepted the rebuke. Learn to practice what u preach, otherwise u become a hypocrite- a trait common among so called African feministas. I repeat, unless the white race retrace it's step n allow alpha men to take control. They are good as gone. The world don't understand courtesy or respect. What rule the world is fear n control. People fear those who use power ruthlessly for their own ambition, leaders who push their own agenda without caring whose ox is gored. The white race became a superpower by using above principles n not some human right nonsense. Even the religion they sold to u guys was to conquer africans mentally n destroy their belief system. That's what alpha manosphere is all about n that's what we preach. Dominate, control n be firm. As per the China-europe trade transaction, u obviously havr no clue what u talking about. I'll advise u visit nairaland foreign section more often n learn. Until then, stick to feminist propaganda n family issues. |
Hathor5:Which business partner... China's eating their lunch, supper n breakfast join.. China has completely decimated the once vibrant manufacturing capability in western country...never to recover. China is run n controlled by no nonsense alpha men. The weaklings in europe dare not stand up to them. Watch this video and see how Chinese alpha male tongue-lashed a Canadian citizen while the canadian wimp counterpart looked on and did nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qikBsQ1h4S8 As per naija... Nigeria is divided along tribal, religious and ethnic line. The principle of manosphere do not even apply here. Africans are too ignorant and dumb to organise themselves within any spectrum of whatever principle. That is the problem with Nigeria and not any alpha or beta male. |
Hathor5:White men absolutely n ruthlessly ruled the world when white alpha men were in charge. I agree all those things u mentioned were fallouts of their domination. But it's what it is....total n complete domination. Now that wimps, simps n weaklings are now in charge in western country...their glory is gradually fading. They can't even stand up to China, foreign migrants have overrun europe bringing their own alien culture. If they do nothing to reverse the self destructive trend, the white race will become a minority in western Europe n USA by 2050....and possibly go into extinction by 2100. |
Hathor5:Point of correction...alpha men are not the ones running this nation. Pls don't confuse clueless, hypocritical, greedy n selfish idiot.s as alpha men. Thank u. |
planetx:Norway is not hoodwinked. Whatever work u do, u will be fine. Wages are very high, Good standard of living, strong middle class n low income inequality. Trust me, u will live very well. The main issue with Norway is their social service dept has the annoying habit of kidnapping children of immigrant parents. |
I made reference to Canaan land success story in my contribution in that thread. The problem is something called the national grid. Any power generated in this country above a certain MW (possibly 100 but I'm not sure) must be fed into the national grid and redistributed across the nation. I'm sure power generated in Canaan land is below the limit, so they get to keep their energy. The way forward is this.... Let power generation be completely removed from the exclusive list n fully decentralised- this include generation, transmission, n distribution. Let there be full private participation in all sectors of power n PPP should be encouraged. Regions that need electricity to power their industrial drive n manufacturing capability should be allowed to forge ahead. Regions/states that prefer darkness can continue with the national grid. That's the answer to electricity problem in this country n not the utopia talk of 24/7 electricity for all Nigerians. |
Rugaria:This is a powerful piece from an intelligent mind. Yes, the West was forced to develop the 4 Asian tigers -Taiwan, south korea, singapore n Hong kong plus Japan to limit the spread of communism in Asia. They should do the same to Africa. The west cannot be complaining of Chinese presence and investment in Africa if they not going to do anything to help the continent. But Africa should also use their head when dealing with china. Their head no correct at all. @Rugaria, pls don't be deceive with the 2 billion Chinese population market access. Na the same bobo they sold to western nations....we are all witness to how it ended in tears for western nations. The Chinese market is heavily restricted n guarded by CCP. Foreign investment or imports is severely limited n very selective. China is only interested in solid minerals, agricultural produce, wildlife n forestry when it comes to Africa. That's why I wrote earlier we should use our head when dealing with china or else it will also end in tears for Africa. |
The biggest problem is this thing called national grid. Power above a particular MW generated anywhere in this country must be fed into the national grid and then redistributed to different part of the country. This is a disincentive for private sectors to invest in our energy sector. Let the power sector be completely decentralised including transmission. Let each state or region have their own independent energy policy if they choose to without Abuja breathing on their neck. Places like Brass and cannanland in Ota are not connected to national grid and they enjoy uninterrupted power supply. Why can't such be replicated on a larger scale in other parts of the country. States like Lagos, Rivers and Anambra should be able to attract investors into their power sector because they know they will get good ROI. The reality now is Nigeria cannot afford 24/7 electricity for everybody. But some regions can push the frontier for regular power supply which will be a catalyst for industrial growth in such areas. That's what we need now, not necessarily 24 hours power supply for the whole nation. |
Saintmary:I wont brandish insult with u.... Engaging in verbal insults both online or offline is a sign of weak emotional intelligence, the inability to engage in logical reasoning or sustain a conceptual argument. A common trait among people from poor upbringing or dysfunctional family background. U are not even married yet u've been dishing out toxic advice since yesterday on this topic... No wonder u are telling women to stop cooking for their families. The kind of people that give advise on this forum...u go fear. |
Saintmary:Any woman who thinks she's not born to cook for her family should not marry but remain single for life. Simple. This is not about u and your husband. But about enforcing strong family values n entrenching healthy communal fellowship. African feministas should not come n destroy traditional values that's proven valid n trusted for thousands of years because of their laziness n entitled mentality. Western feminist who detest family responsibility simply stay away from the marriage institution. I don't know why that's so difficult for our African feminists to copy. Rather than getting married n becoming headache for everybody. |
Saintmary:Ok lets get something clear. Cooking in the home is the primary responsibility of the wife. A woman has no business getting married if she doesn't want to be cooking on regular basis. Such a lady should stay single for life. I don't understand where all this nonsense is coming from. because last time I checked, married white women ( u guys are trying too hard to copy) cook for their home, they cook for friends who come visiting and cook for family gathering/reunion. There are thousands of youtube vlogs dedicated to married white women culinary skills in the kitchen. Asian, Arab and latin women cook for their families without issues. It's only in Africa that black women wants to turn modernity on its head with their warped feminist ideology that makes no sense. I don't even see this as feminism...rather what I can perceive is a lazy but entitled generation trying to avoid responsibility. It's not by force to marry, stay single if u don't like the responsibility that comes with it. |
LegendHero:The answer is restructuring. But I'm sure it's not what u want to hear. The executive list has to go if this nation must move forward. |
Ofodirinwa:Pls what do know about global competitive index? Let's start from there.... I want to know if u really understand why some nations are rich while others are poor. |
EmptyGarden:U want a grandfather to initiate a protest for u guys... Nigerian youths have no shame. |
igbesachick:Madam China, can u learn not quote me. Thank u. |
greenguy:Can u give us insiders info, so we all know what's going on with this dubious rail contracts. |
PassingShot:There should be technology transfer... Chinese Engr should work with their nigerian counterparts n transfer technical skills n knowledge... That's the crux of the matter... Remove your head from APC anus for once n think about what's good for nigeria... China shouldn't be coming every year to build our infrastructure... |
abduljabbar4:Ok let us be clear... I dont do all these pro China or pro western ideology nonsense... I'm very much pro africa. I want what's best for Africa. Our past dealing with the west was very much one sided, we were naive n too trustworthy. They exploited us n we suffered. Now we turning east with the same mindset that China will be fair to us. Our present deals with china is dumb n stupid...we will get our fingers burnt again. Africans behave Iike children on the global stage. Always looking for who will show empathy n care.....No country will ever develop Africa, if thats what u waiting for, u will wait forever. AFRICANS must do the hard work to develop the continent. We must be smart, disciplined n ruthless in dealing with foreign nations, either east or west. Or else, we will forever be the dreg of the rest of the world. U mentioned western nations do business in china. Do u know the term n condition those companies are subjected in order to operate in china..... They are forced to transfer technology, they are not allowed to compete with Chinese companies in the same sector, they must share data n research with other Chinese establishment. China forced Siemens, bombardier, n Alston to transfer technology b4 they could win the contract to build the 1st bullet train in China. Today, China is the world leading manufacturer of bullet train. Why do u think Trump is fighting China? because he knows China has beaten them in their own game. It's a dog eat dog world out there, africa must learn the game if we want to develop.... |
dustydee:Assets outside nigeria...I hope u know that's our foreign reserve u talking about. There's everything wrong with that contract. It's a careless contract written n agreed by dumb leaders. |
castiello:U are the one spewing rubbish ..... Go n read the clause generating so much trouble. If Nigeria defaults, china is allowed to seize any assets except military n diplomatic assets. |
Sammy07:The clause states China can seize any assets it deem capable of paying back the loan, except diplomatic or military assets. Think about China taking over nigerian ports because we defaulted on loans meant to build railway. That's why people are worried. |
The guy is too young and immature for that girl. |
The only reason nigeria is yet to be like Libya or Syria is simply because Nigerians are cowards. They are too scared to take up the gun n face their oppressors. Everybody just want a piece of the national cake b4 things finally fall apart. Even Buhari, Tinubu n Akpabio knows Nigeria is a failed state. Only deluded supporters of Tinubu n buhari thinks otherwise. |
abduljabbar4:I agree we should deal with Chinese because we have no alternative. That's the reality in the world we live now. Western nations cannot match the massive and generous funding coming from China. But it's stupid borrowing 5.6 billion dollars to build railway line from Lagos to kano. Seriously, that means we will have to borrow over 30 billion dollars to cover the 6 regions in nigeria. How do we intend to pay back? Those projects cannot generate enough funds to pay back the loan. They are more of govt social responsibility infrastructural projects. U dont build such things with any intention of ROI. Apart from Tinubu, no other leader build roads or bridges with the intention of taxing the users to death, just to get the money back. We should be borrowing to build refineries, develop manufacturing capability, expand special economic zones, deepen industrial process n value added chain, expand our agro allied industry etc. Such huge fund would have benefited the country more if it's meant to build an independent power project not connected to national grid, and meant to serve the industrial areas and SEZ. Just imagine places like Aba, kano, Ota, Apapa, Agbara having cheap and regular 24 hours electricity. That's a powerful magnet for foreign investors n strong potential for consumer goods export. Imagine spending that amount to develop the rice agro allied sector. We will supply the whole of Africa with rice and become a dominant player. Alternatively, why can't we tell China to use the money to develop a steel production facility for us here in nigeria, and we watch how it's done. Or is it a crime if we start producing and exporting steel products. I've always said it, our Leaders lacks sense, amaechi is just interested in the kickbacks from the whole deal. Because I really don't understand why we want to mortgage our future over inexpedient physical infrastructures. U mentioned Chinese people as good people. I laff in mandarin. Those guys have poor social and managerial skills. They are brutal n heartless human resource managers albeit effective. They lack conscience, and the only god they worship is money. They've taken over from America as the masters of brutal capitalism. Its like u guys have no idea how they became the 2nd largest economy in the world within a very short time. Let them take over in Nigeria, u guys will understand. The only good thing that will come out of it- for the very first time, Nigerians will learn the meaning discipline and hardwork. |
