You are either married to a “boy” or someone who has regrets having married you. Obviously, he is expectant of somethings from you which you have been unable to provide . I wouldn’t know the things he is expecting but I have been in this kind of situation - btw I am guy. That relationship never worked because there was no way she would become the woman I want instead I ought to love the woman she becomes. I made the decision not to make the same mistake but to love the woman my partner becomes, not to change or expect her to meet some standards. It has worked for me. Please have a deep discussion with him and let him understand he can only love the woman you are and will become not the one he wants you be. Tell him to love your weaknesses and imperfection and not your strengths. This way you can grow together. As long as he keeps looking at those weaknesses, he will never see value. |
Juicyjuice:no he is silly and ignorant. How many Europeans advert do you see on CNN being broadcasted in Nigeria. It’s simple, those adverts are peculiar to each country. Same CNN news but different advertisement- particular to each country and company interested. The idea is to reach bigger audience. |
Eedris Abdulkareem addressed this issue in his song some years back. One gender is not the victim or the perpetrator. It is only more common to one gender. There are ladies who are willing and looking to sleep with lecturers in exchange for marks- how do we address this? They can go any extent. It is still harassment regardless. Seriously, perspective matters. Do you think that lecturer in Unilag is mentally okay? There are ways we can address this issue where the right message is passed without stigmatizing one gender or profession. |
Tolexander:do you think lecturers don’t respect smart ladies ... we should listen to Mr. Edits Abdulkareem Mr lecturer again |
thebosstrevor:Most smart people don’t crave for power. Smart guys are better in service. Being smart isn’t a core requirement for leadership. Leadership is about people, process and product. It’s more of management than developing record breaking solutions. So a leader who has got poor managerial skills can not manage a group of smart people effectively. This is the problem with Nigeria and by extension Africa. It’s a leadership problem which many called government. |
One would wonder why rents are outrageous in Abuja, the seat of government.... government stuffs are usually subsidized and considering that workers don’t even earn much in Nigeria but corruption has made houses something else in Abuja |
if Intelligence is recessive in a family, the chances are slim. |
Her pride is courtesy her sugar daddies. Low life Slay mamas who sleep with politicians demonstrate this attitude. People supporting her saying she will come depressed ... have you bothered to consider how the persons she has insulted are feeling. Calling someone mofo, ass wipe over nothing. She got attitude problem and she isnthe cause of whatever she “enjoys” later. |
I will try and give a chunk ... the problem with a black man. The white billionaires don’t try to give, they give without negotiation. |
Bahddo:. Now it’s about me ... lols. Address the case, debate wisely. It is not hate for programmers. You don’t even know if I am a programmer. What differentite a senior developer from a junior developer. You may try to sugar coat this layoff as you wish, Andela terms and contract does not favor the developers. Imagine after signing a bond, you are laid off. Now put yourself in the shoes of those laid off who have sacrificed other opportunities. I know you will come with the argument that they learnt. It all balls down to the fact that there are poor labor laws in Africa! Answer again, if you are a senior developer, would you choose to work for Andela? |
Bahddo:a company that sacks 400 of its product ... what does that tell you? As much as you are trying to make sense out of this, you aren’t making any sense. I am not here to debate whether Africa is ripe for tech or not. Point is your product is African and market is the western countries, that the western countries now want the western product, what do you do? Please read my post again. I don’t want to say I see this company go under in 6 years. You |
Bahddo:the question you should ask yourself is why are they suddenly uninterested to work with Africans and now interested in Americans. It Is simple ... either the quality of work doesnt meet expectations or the more Americans are now learning how to code which makes it more competition. Andela was solving a problem with an immediate solution I.e lack of developers but then it’s quite fast to train a developer. So we have much more supply of developers than the market. Once there was scarcity and high demand but now it has reduced. Andela only capitalized on the weak forex system. Make money in dollars, pay in local currency. When I said solve problems peculiar to Africa, I meant 90 percent of Andela’s customers should be Africans. The issue of banks does not hold here. There are Americans who still go to American banks to deposit money. This doesn’t not change the fact that mobile apps are solving the problems ... pls understand not every one feels he has the problem you are willing solve. There is no bias about programming. My point is in building a software, how many of the applications and programs used are created by Africans. That’s my point about being Africa. I ll give you an interesting one- So Fred Swaniker founded African Leadership Academy, he selects graduates from this academy and send them to standford. He found out there was little impact in return on Africa which and so he founded African Leadership unviversirty. The university develops Leaders for Africa. Now if these developers were developing products for Africans, the story might have been different. |
It is simple .... we shout tech tech in Nigeria with no scalable products. Everybody is learning software programming but the programming isn’t solving immediate needs of the people. You need to solve the needs of people to remain relevant. We make too much noise! |
johnaruson:typical Nigerian mentality. Some people derive pleasure in serving others but their status rarely give them the opportunity. Now uber is providing a platform to serve people, make new friends and find company. That guy might just be lonely and bored and needs to talk to new people. |
Very “childish man” . |
If you think this guys are remorseful or apologetic, you are making a mistake. If you have applied for a visa lately, you will know these attacks are premeditated. They won’t be sorry today or tomorrow. Many blacks did not have the resource to build businesses after the apartheid. Many of the businesses are white owned and foreign owned. They are only afraid a repeat of apartheid is about to happen but what they don’t know is that if the foreigners leave the country, They will be dominated by the whites. The whites in SA understand and knows how to trap a black SA. If they are all about increase in crime, what have they don’t about their corrupt police officers? It’s all a black man’s problem and I tell you, the whites will capitalize on this. It’s a loss for them either ways ! |
Do you ever think a white man will be the president of SA again? Have you bothered to know what is taught in schools about apartheid in SA. They feel the same way the welcomed the whites and the whites subdued them is the same way foreigners will someday. Xenophobia is only one of the outcomes of apartheid. Once bitten, twice shy. Aside the blacks being lazy, the live in fear. If you have been to SA you will see clearly that apartheid is only gone in words and not fully in actions. the Black in government aren’t helping matters either, imagine Zuma being corrupt. It’s a black man’s problem. |
Denikayan:No man is ever lucky with polygamy in this present age. |
That’s the message. Condemn an act. Not justifying killings by saying some Nigerians are victims. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Condemn the act. It is totally wrong and unacceptable. UN needs to intervene.
|
FamousMonk:this is not the message at bolder. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Address one problem at a time. It is not the job of Nigerians toblook after Nigerians in SA. They are all foreigners with little or no power to make change. Make una address the issue of killing. Having the mind to slaughter another man is babaric. Condemn the act! That’s where we start from. |
Peter has a restaurant in joburg. Majority of his employees are SA women. The same ones their men treat badly. Some guys even do this mobile food business in the slumps. You know Nigerians can do anything legal and Illegal to make money. These guys are angry at the legal stuffs, I tell you. Forget about the brouhaha about drugs. If you want drugs to stop, the intelligence is with your govt. you should attack your govt not foreigners. |
Ever wondered the reason for the apartheid in the first place. Not every dog is hungry, some just need food to garner strength to bite you. |
You don’t need a degree. All you needed was “School SAT” |
The only happiness is in God. Whether in America or Africa, if you can’t find and define your purpose, life will be hell. That said America is still a better environment. |
I have been a celibate for close to a year and I made the decision not to have sex before marriage. The few girls I had something for would compromise, I mean they would say yes to sex at sometime. I could tell from our conversations. Aside my religion, saying no to sex will help you set realistic goals in your marriage. It will help you to be more disciplined. It has really helped me. |
wagazala:the whole motive is to stop foreigners from coming to America to birth.... read btw the lines ![]() |
Lady in red, if you know you know ![]() |
you cant underestimate the power of education in Leadership. I have always told people this. I have experience from home and work. Education complements leadership more than anything else. |
Some brothers are not worth more than Gold circle condoms... very unintelligent statement coming from the chap. Stop the stereotype! |
I have related with this tribe very well. They know money, they love money and they know how to make money but the problem here is the love. I tell you you will love an Igbo man or woman who makes his money legit, same way you will hate with passion an Igbo man or woman who makes it illegally because the extent the illegal person can go is worrisome. More like demon possessed. They need to address this problem from home. Their competitive mindset is doing more harm than good. |
Sirmuel1:to address the problem we need to start from tribe. This is where you guys get it wrong. Will you attack a Yoruba for a crime committed by majorly Fulani herdsman. The Igbos have a problem that needs to be addressed from home. This problem needs to be addressed from home! |
When these Nigerian artistes hail yahoo boys, do you think they are hailing these ones EFCC arrest in Ibadan abi Osogbo. Scam get level. There are many fraudsters like this Obi guy hiding under the pretense of legit hustle. They combine fraud plus business. Ofcourse what you get to know will be the business. |
