Nairaland Yahoo news Msnbc Fox news Cnn Bbc Cosmopolitan Sahara Youtube Aljazeera
You be journalist? |
Funny... But i am not suprised. I saw so many nairaland pages bookmarked on a friend"s system.. He eats and breaths nairaland. I mean arent there other productive things to do online apart from nairalanding? |
I find myself mostly online (either i am working or browsing through websites i am addicted to) and sometimes people ask me questions like "what are you doing online or what website are you browsing?" to be honest, it used to be so annoying earlier on having to explain " oh i am on nairaland checking out the latest news" or i am searching for an information on google. But after careful consideration, i realised that most people who own devices that can browse ( laptops, web enabled phones, tablets, etc) actually have no idea about what to do online... I would list a few things i do online/ the websites i visit often and i am asking fellow nairalanders to contribute for the sake of those who don't know what to do online. Hopefully this would be a sort of directory for them to consult when they have a need to browse. 1. www.nairaland.com- you can find virtually any information you need over here. I call it the one stop palace for browsing! 2. dbaforums.org - its an oracle forum for database administrators 3. www.mindtools.com- you can find resources here on a wide range of management tools. From problem solving to project management etc 4. www.cosmopolitan.co.uk- hmmmnnn my favorite online female magazine. Lots of intresting articles on fashion, love and sex. 5.www.youtube.com - free music videos and nija movies to watch. As for the things i do online here"s a few: Chatting on yahoo messenger or video calls on skype, playing games, taking random tutorials on my areas of interest, etc Over to you ladies and gentlemen. Tell us the websites you frequently visit and what else you do online. |
Another black sunday in Northern Nigeria. Dear Lord please terminate the lives of every potential suicide bomber in this country along with their sponsors . Amen |

DECEIT- The act or practice of decieving, concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading, duplicity, fraud, cheating . I.e once she exposed her deceit, no one ever trusted her again. A man full of deceit. |

fluid26: You may not be far from the truth. The *naming thing can't be that trivial...there's gotta be more to it.I also like people who think #outofthebox like you just did.. Besides she cant just name the baby after the ex just because he talks to her on fone.. Abi na only him be the manfriend wey she dey follow talk ? |
How am i sure no be the rat get the pikin... Abi the mother just decided to name the baby rat out of the blues.. * thinking out of the box* |
Handsomeemmy: So what can we do to bring down the price of Garri ?The garri comrades must have a plan B and if they dont i advise they hold a national conference and get back to their drawing boards to design a solution. I guess they never saw this coming when they launched the Garri campaign.. That is why planning is an essential part of project management. |
Why wont the SUBSIDY on garri be removed when GARRI commrades have succeeded in making it a popular commodity via your aggressive campaigns and tantrums on nairaland... Now that you have achieved your goal we now see how it has AFFECTED THE PRICE OF GARRI in the market. Who says we cant use the social network to bring about a change in Nigeria? . |

The punishment obviously out weighs the crime... Btw 2007 till now i believe they must have served enough jail term already to warrant a pardon. But then you can never tell what an armed robber would do next... Lord have mercy on them |
Its ok but personally i dont find mr biggs appealing as a wedding Reception/ lunch venue. Reason been that the food tastes funny ever since i became an adult (i think a few will agree with me) ... Since a wedding is suppozed to be a memorable event id suggest u sought the assistance of friends/ relatives to cook at home and you can have the lunch in your living room or if its small then you could put up a meduim sized canopy in the compound, plastic chairs and tables dont cost much to rent.In addition get a dj in the same manner you get the cooks.. Scout for one among your cousins, brothers, brother in laws, friends etc someone should be good at spinning. All the best. |
What is it about this topic that is causing a religious riot right here? Cant We keep religious sentiments aside and discuss about possible options for the girl to be saved from the trauma this 70 year old great grand father is causing her... As educated and enlightened as we claim to be on Nairaland i expect solutions to be created i.e someone who knows an NGO that deals with child welfare in Nigeria should help the poor girl by notifying them about her case.. It is sad that so many other young girls in rural places especially those remote villages up north have been forced / decieved into this kind of marriages, you only get to hear thier stories when you visit the vvf centers in general hospitals. |
Too many marriage consellor"s on Nairaland.. Too many cooks spoil the broth.. @Op the only advise you need to follow right now is your wife"s, read in between the lines and make amendments. That didn't look like a suicide note to me instead I saw a woman desiring for understanding and compassion from her husband. And While you are at it kindly do away with your side runs(if any)your family needs ALL of you. |
Aderostock: I laugh in my yoruba dialectI laugh in queen"s english if the bill sails through that means they will import the lecturer"s instead of exporting their kids.. If I may ask what is the motive behind this kind of bill?I mean its not as if most of them personally pay for their kids to study abroad, they just hijack the scholarships from ptdf, min of edu, nddc, and other grants we don't even know exist and give to their “practically“ dull children. |
Hahahahhaa I laugh in pidgin! So Sahara reporters has become a diagnostic center, very well then maybe nairaland is the dispensary.. |
May God"s will be done in her life AMEN... Or Can your words of mockery add a single strand of hair to her Scalp? |
PastelChic: This really is a gurl that has seen the greatness in her man and loves him unconditionally for who he is...This is true love..they are indeed match made in heaven and soulmate... many men indeed may have had the chance in their lifetime to have met a woman like this, but may have gone on with the "man thing..the game, looking out for superficial qualitites instead of the real thing...many have had the real thing stare them in the face, but was too dumb to recognise it...beauty is only skin deep and its fading....I will tell You what will stand the test of time, the beauty inside this lady..so men, instead of lusting after a Kardashian, miss world or the glitters...(ask GOD for Your soulmate..)The bone of Your bones and flesh of your flesh..and for all saying 9j gurls will zap if they were thrown into this situation, You must have gone after the wrong thing in the first place..water will always find its level...also not many 9j man who also are prone to infedelity will stand by their woman in times of trial..they will use it as escape route for their philandering...even if the man remains faithful, His homies and family members instead of laud His love and courage for his wifey, will pile frustatrations to their union and encourage the man to leave his wifeRightly said pastelChic... There couldnt have been a better explanation to this love! |
He used to go through my phone at any slight oppurtunity! Bbm, fb, call logs and txt msgs most especially... My advise to guys out there, pls stop all the jack bauer spy cop moves coz it" ll only earn you a ripped heart at the end of your "insecurity" series..... My ex can testify to that ![]() |
The word " alone" doesnt exist in the presidency... Except if the president is insinuating that members of his cabinet are ghost workers who do not have designated roles and responsibilities? |
Alright we have heard... fellow Nigerians, the sports minister just said he needs 7 billion naira to complete the purchase of his private jet. |
Ok. I hope they did not make up this story just to get a presidential handshake come 1st october.. If it is true, i salute you guys and if it is not, well i accept it as an independence day joke. |
nenergy: Always...she's my future. ;-) ![]() |
I guess she did, just as she has always done even without seeing you but with much faith... Now the question is "did you pray for her as well"? |
hardbody: Not too soon gurl, beware the ides of October 1. A lot can still happen before the close of day tomorrow, but let us hope for the sake of the country, it doesn't. How is Patience doing sefWe really do hope so @ hardbody... By the way the last time i checked it seems only sahara reporters know how the first lady is doing, that is if their stories are anything to go by... :- |
I quite agree with alot of the reasons been stated here as to why marriages fail...... However i ask do people actually marry these days or wed? Sadly more emphasize is given to the wedding ( reception, asoebi, decor, wedding gown, bridal train, groom"s shoes, etc) than to the marriage (living as husband and wife after the wedding)... Gone are days when a bride to be was was literally " prepared" for her groom, now the preparation is all about which magazine would cover the wedding reception, what band will play, what colour of gele will the aunts tie, what souvenirs to give the guests etc... Now i ask again what happens when the couple are left alone in their home, without been " prepped" on what to expect after the fanfare is over? |
Thank God we would not be celebrating Nigeria @52 with a flag flying at half mast.. ![]() |
I guess she is reading this and smiling right now.. Wondering how are you doing too ![]() |
A guy wit jerry curls on his hair especially if he's got this nasty bleached face and lip gloss (baby oil, vaseline or anything that shines)on his lips.....Its a HUGE turn off for me |
