Righteousness2: That is a Highly commendable deed from Davido. With deeds like this, There is no way Davido can Eacape the Blessings of GOD here on Earth .
Having Said , I would like Davido and Everyone all over the world to understand that Being a Philanthropist is a good act and Commendable act BUT it is not a Substitute for the SALVATION of your Soul. It is not a Substitute for us to have Eternal life in Heaven.
Eternal life in Heaven is Solely and Exclusively by a Genuie relationship with JESUS Christ.
So in all our Philanthropist activities, Ensure you Surrender to JESUS Christ and Live for HIM and to HIS Glory. This is what truly Matters for our Eternity.
Matthew 19 verse 21 comes to mind.
Salvation is not always a one-step function like switching a light on and off. For many people, it is a long walk to freedom which starts with a first step. The fact that Davido could do this shows he has love for people, something which many of our politicians do not have. So it is a first step to his salvation and he needs our prayers to make it to the end.

I will find out this information for you on Sunday. There is a Naija nurse in my church who works in one of the hospitals here. For accommodation, you have options to choose 6 months rent (bw $500 to $800 a month) or go for AirBnb (more expensive). They have lots of furnished apartments here but it is all about your money.

What exactly do you want to know? There is nothing like "any information". You have to be specific with your request.
OP, You need to make more money. As in real money. The kind of money that stops nonsense. All you need is freelance work that gives you $2000 minimum a month. All the nonsense will stop.
Women (especially wives) need men they can look up to, not look at or look down on. People have tastes. When a woman marries, she expects her husband to elevate her status, not send her below where she is coming from. If your wife says she cannot cook with kerosene, please do not make her go back there. Make sure you can provide gas for the house COME WHAT MAY. If you were earning in dollars, it will stop all domestic nonsense.
My wife knows that even if gas is sold at N100,000 a cylinder, I am highly capable of it by the special grace of the almighty God. She boasts about me constantly before her family. During lockdown, she was in another country for some time before I was able to get back to her. I was paying all her expenses in foreign currency with no shaking. Such things bring you heavy respect. It just comes naturally. You don't force it out.
It takes a man to know his God to the extent where God will place you above economic circumstances, without stress. The problem is, how many men can bring out time to have that critical discussion with God that produces a change of destiny?
Some people may say i'm lucky and would want to be in my position, but i really need ur advice..
My girlfriend mum have a very big provission shop, and u all know how it feels (that joy) to have such person daughther as your girlfriend.
She loves me so much that she can give me money, food stuff, all for free from their shop. infact, i don't even spend a kobo to buy anything again. All i do is just go to their shop, & collect whatever i want.
If i meet her mum when i want to buy something, i'll pay her. But if i give her N500, she will give me change of even N2000 and ask me to go. And i don't argue with her so that her mum won't notice. I will just collect the money and go.
If i call her on phone that i'm hungry, only God can tell the things she will bring for me withing just 20 minutes of calling her..
She's spending so much on me, and i think i need advice.
I thought i was a lucky man b4, but the thing is too much 4 me.
BafanaBafana: He graduated with first class, he has been an academic for long and he was an associate professor. Unless for non academic reasons, I don't see why there should be any rancour over this. Or it's because he is a northerner?
There are rules regarding promotions in the academia. Hard rules set in stone. They cannot be bent for any reason. This is not like Idris Kpotum that PMB promoted from CP to IGP, three steps promotion which bypassed other qualified AIGs and DIGs.
Is Pantami published in Thomson Reuters and other online academic journals with web presence? Let him present his CV for public scrutiny. Let us know what he has published in terms of books, research papers, journal materials, etc. Let us also know the report of his three external assessors who are supposed to assess his work and recommend him for professorship.
What was the outcome of the internal interview after his external assessors reports (if any)? Did he spend the required minimum of three years between one position and the next? These are all questions to be answered.
Now there is good ground to take this matter officially to the Hague. One thing about the Hague is that any indictments or arrest warrants are for life....even if it takes 40 years, they will come after the perpetrators of this act.
Georgejeez: If Carlos Queroz is serious about qualifying Portugal for the next World cup , he shouldn't bother inviting Ronaldo , he has arrays of good forwards who can score , tackle and do link up play rather than field Mr Luxembourg who would not only play for personal glory but will infect the team with his Man utd bad luck .
Carlos Qeiroz is coach of Angola. Where you dey get your own news from?
PlayMaker14: PENDU will always be PENDU... I remember when the King of San Marino, Lithuania, Andorra, and Luxembourg removed the countries arm band and slammed it on the floor like hot Amala because he couldn't control his emotions.... Some of his brainless fans defended him online....
Now, look at him talking to his father's agemate as if he is talking to one of his numerous Spanish side chick because he wasn't giving a Penalty and couldn't get a chance to score his favorite Tap-ins and run to the corner flag to jump like a monkey that wants to fornicate.
When we talk, some of his oloriburuku fans will say he is being patriotic.
Siberia01: I love the Igbo spirit There is hardly any Igbo person with less than 20 million in his or her account They are super wealthy...nnewi alone houses more than 500 billionaires Not to talk of Aba and Onitsha Obi is just a few of them...
Yet with all the money, they cannot exert any federal influence to take care of the region's crumbling infrastucture, or lift the military siege on the region as a result of IPOB's activities. Any money that is simply sitting in private accounts and adds no value to the society is useless.
I tell anyone who cares to listen, "if you pick up money, it is yours". That is God's way of compensating you for being at the right place at the right time.
Except you have more than you'd ever need or the money you picked has a tracker on it, there is no moral justification whatsoever to return it.
My first gold necklace was one I picked up at Onu-Asata in the late eighties. I'd later sell this necklace to afford money to take my ex-boss's classy wife on a date and blow her mind when she came visiting Nigeria several years later. This lady will eventually connect me to the people who transformed and made me fortunate in this life.
So please, where would I have been today if I had not picked up that gold necklace at Onu-Asata? Where would I have been if I had let morals stop me from leaving a legacy in that married woman's kpekus?
Would there have been a triumphant entry into Jerusalem if Jesus had not picked and ridden a colt that was not his?
I hope this story serves as a lesson for those who pray to God to order their steps and would still walk past their blessings because they don't want to offend God.
The moment we realize that God's ways are not our ways and we can never fathom them, that is when we'd realize that nothing should separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus.
No matter how much money you pick up today, it will still finish one day, so why mortgage your forever because of the satisfaction of today?
But before you answer that stupid question, remember that your forever is threatened if you can not satisfy your today by any means necessary.
This is the most idiotic diatribe I have ever read. The disciples of Jesus sought the permission of the of owner of the donkey to before they took it. Don't come here to misquote the Bible to justify your evil acts.
SundayNightGist: One cool evening earlier this year I was taking a stroll down one of the streets in Accra in my T-shirt and shorts when I suddenly felt someone running after me and trying to get my attention. I turned to see a young man respectfully asking if I wanted to have my hair cut. I laughed hard as I was having an Afro on… because, no I really didn't want to cut the hair I had been deliberately keeping for months. But his warm attitude and respectful manner of approach made me follow him like a jazzed fellow back into his shop which was just by the roadside and behind me.
To my shock, as I got in, I was instantly swarmed by about 3 or 4 ladies who were all smiles and immediately asking me what kind of drink they should get for me. "Beer or any other drink?' they inquired. Han han? Is this a joke or what? Again I laughed as I was still trying to figure why all the niceties. But they were serious. The ladies in fact insisted in the presence of a female customer that bills for the drink would be on them. Lobatan!
All the while, the barber was busy showing me his own corner of the salon, and jokingly sharing with me that he is the only guy among them females and all that. Impressed, I sha had small chit-chat and a good laugh with all of them, promised to come back and left.
Now before you rush to say that was an isolated case, I noticed the same warm attitude towards me almost everywhere else in that country- from some of the airport officials' behaviour to the market woman's behaviour and even the uber drivers.
Now my issue is why were these people so warm and respectful? That was my first time in their country and I'm still wondering, are Ghanaians always like this?
The average Ghanaians are nice. But a few are just not it at all.
If I were to indicate my first job, it was working in my mum's facility for a few months during an ASUU strike. I was cutting deals at the side and was hitting school with N10,000 allowance for the semester + the one my parents gave me. To put this in context, N5 gave you a plate of food and one piece of meat at the time, with accommodation of N110 and school fees of N50. I was 18 years.
How I wish I started to buy stocks or set up a farm then.
Chiall: Hello Staga, how is Barbados today? I will be in Barbados next week by God's grace . Please what is the best mode of transport from BGI to Bridgetown? I will be coming from the UK for tourism. Pls assist sir.
Fill the immigration and customs forms at the Barbados government website. On landing at BGI, you will have to show it at the various points. before entry.
If you are vaccinated, you will be allowed off the airport to go anywhere as long as you have a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of landing.
If you are not vaccinated, you will undergo a mandatory 7-day quarantine. You will receive a red band on your arm and a white tracker. You will be given a form at the port health section of the airport with which to record your temperature. You also have to download the BIMSafe app (before coming). At the airport, you will be met by an official who will help you set up the app. You will use the app's QR code reader to scan your white wrist tracker. That way, your location will be monitored on quarantine.
You will then take a taxi to your quarantine location with no stops whatsoever. Once you enter that location, you cannot leave except when going for your Day 5 test. Tests are taken at 3 government locations FREE of CHARGE. Most popular is Wildey's Gymnasium. Leave early as the lines are very long. Result comes out in 24 hours. If negative, the hotel staff will cut off the tracker and red band and you are free to move. Please note that the US Dollar is also used here as a second currency. So make sure you have enough USD in cash and on your card to pay for food and stuff.
As per your questions, airport taxi is $Bds50 (USD 25). Max you will pay is 30 USD.
There are three modes of transport on the island.
a) BUS There are three bus types. The long blue bus is the recently rolled out government air-conditioned buses. As you enter the bus, pay by dropping the exact amount inside the long mounted rod beside the driver before you take a seat. These buses do not give change. There is the white bus with maroon stripe on its body. Then there are the yellow buses. You pay your fare to the conductor or driver. For all buses. the bus fares are 3.5 BBD to anywhere you are going irrespective of distance. The buses are all equipped with buttons you have to press before you get to your designated bus stop so the drivers can stop for you. Otherwise, tell the conductor or driver ahead of time where you are going and they will assist you.
b) Ride Hailing The ride hailing app is PickUp Barbados. You can download it on the Google Play store. Ride hailing here is expensive. I personally only use it if I have to go somewhere really off a bus route, or I have to carry a lot of shopping stuff.
c) You can have the white taxi mini-buses and cabs. They all carry the taxi sign. You negotiate before the ride.
As a rule, all taxis and ride-hailing vehicles carry number plates that start with "Z". Also, please note that the observance of traffic rules here is 100%. You must be at a designated bus stop to enter or drop from a bus. Cars ALWAYS stop at zebra crossings for pedestrians to cross. The drivers obey traffic lights.
All their buses are very clean. The country is well policed. The police cars are very clean. Their police stations are like mansions, not like the scraps we have in Naija. The streets are super clean. You can't find garbage heaped anywhere. Electricity is 24/7, except when they have to do some maintenance. Water comes from the water board, treated and drinkable.
The way the Bajans speak English is like the Jamaicans. It is a form of Patois so you really have to strain your ears to understand them. Within a week or two, you will get a hang of it.
Don't be surprised if your PickUp cab is a Range Rover sport. Yes, the cars used for ride-hailing are very clean and exotic vehicles. Yesterday, a female driver picked me up with an SUV. It is very common here, yet these are things that our Naija people will be making noise over on Nairaland and on Twitter. Dem no go let us hear word. Let them know it now. The cars your celebrities love pasting all over social media are used as ride-hailing cabs in Barbados. If they like, let them travel and see.
tolakush92: Good evening nlders I’ll be very brief and precise .This thing has been bothering my mind and I felt I should seek for reasonable and experienced opinions from senior men them on this forum .

LadyG93: Good afternoon everyone, please is there anyone willing to share information on how to travel to BARBADOS from Nigeria or turkey as a Nigerian citizen ( i have a turkish resident permit so travelingfrom there is not a problem). I have checked all routes and a transit visa is required for USA, UK, Amsterdam, Canada or France.
Does anyone have alternative options on how to go there without transiting this countries as I believe getting a transit visa would be hard.
Also I need to be in Barbados between 10 to 18 of December 2021 as I have doctor appointment on the 18 before my EDD.
No information is too small or irrelevant. Kindly help please.
Only route for you now is as follows:
a) Lagos to London to Bridgetown. You need UK transit visa. b) Lagos to Amsterdam, then non-stop KLM flight to Bridgetown (route just reopened two weeks ago after 20 years). You need Schengen transit visa. c) Abuja to Frankfurt, then Frankfurt to Bridgetown with stopover at London. You will need transit visa for both UK and Schengen.
US stopped flights to Bridgetown last month because of rising COVID cases here. So any connections via US will not work for now. BTW, I live in Barbados at the moment under the Welcome stamp visa.
When God Himself said a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and they shall become one, modern day women think they know better than the one who created the universe.
If you decide to marry a man that has not left his father and mother (as in get his own house, make his own money from his own job or business and not "papa dash me", then you should prepare for whatever you see down the road.

Then when you die in your sin, what becomes of you? Son of Belial. Better repent. Money cannot buy you a place in heaven.
I have never been harassed at LOS or ABV airports when travelling out. My last trip out of Naija through LOS to LHR, nobody asked me for a penny or why I am travelling.
Even in London Heathrow when transiting, no one ever asked me any dumb questions. Only one person was trying to ask my wife too many questions. I simply told them she is my wife and travelling with me and all questions ceased. I guess favour of God speaks for me every time.

Originalsly: I'm surprised that you were in Brasilia ... the capital city ... looked around and realized that you were the only Black around! This was not the picture you been painting.... how was this possible?... a rare moment? I'm trying to figure out why the scandalous references to the US ?.... now I want to believe you were not allowed to visit the US and are now using every opportunity to damage its image ... even if it comes to making up stuff or blowing things out of proportion. In NYC... there are several bike clubs and Chapters of national clubs identified by their vests. They all use these same streets ... and no one ever fear being beaten by bikers unless you go looking for trouble. Why you had fear for the bikers I have no clue... maybe in Brazil bikers are feared ... not here. There is a bike ride across several states called Rolling Thunder in support of War Veterans that ends here in NYC. It involves almost all Chapters of all bike clubs .... including the ehmmm ... kill Blacks clubs. Thousands of bikes ... almost all big bikes ... mainly Harley Davidsons. ... together they really do sound like rolling thunder. My workmates got a bike... small one... 600cc and joined a club within a year. He was very enthusiastic .. as a quiet guy ... but then I noticed he wasn't any more. Inquired... only to learn of the deaths if a few of his buddies in such a short time ... all accidents. A few months after his bike was stolen. Ask if he's getting another .. said no. To each his own.
One of my regular customers used to have this bike covered ... not sure if the covers got torn or what ... but ... took the opportunity to snap a few pix ... a pretty big dirt bike. Someone else took the opportunity to fetch away the bike... yes... it was stolen shortly after.
Why the unnecessary attack? Is the US the only country on earth?
Iyaebe: He will still cheat, men that are pampered are heavily prone to cheating than the ones who is having it slightly hot at home. Women should learn to create fears in their husband's heart(make he subtly dy fear you but dont be wicked)so that whenever he's having the intention of messing around, he'll have a rethink knowing fully well what you are capable of doing. Pamper your husband only when he's old and tired.Don't quote me please.
pansophist: Round table negotiation FG. The use of force is useless. Negotiate.
The use of force usually forces the weaker party to call for negotiation. If indeed the so-called BNG is out to carve their own territory, why do they prefer to attack facilities in the SE? They are just robbers. Simple!
