pocohantas: Creating a bond doesn’t guarantee you won’t be scammed, it just reduces risk. Which is what we all try to do- reduce risk. You really can’t eliminate these risks, you can only reduce them. I agree with you, but if I would ever get played it must be by someone who is better in the game than I am. Not this cheap string that was pull on this man. |

pocohantas: On a serious note OP, the money is gone. Sure there are ways to recover funds, but you will have to establish a clear case of fraud which isn’t obtainable here. This would be dismissed as romance gone bad. It is scam; a systematic yahoo perpetrated by ladies. Imagine doing this to 10 Hot men in a month.
I feel sorry for you in a way...
The concept of sending transport money is one I will never understand, but then, I know our earning powers are different and some destinations could be beyond her means.
Next time, take your time to establish bonds. She should wanna see you as much as you want to see her. If not, she can easily disappoint you, with or without transport fare, the former being more painful. Even if you create the bond there is no guarantee that you won’t be scammed. The true way out is to identify games and know who are the players. If you Fail this step you would always fall victim |
Romance › Re: Scammed By A Lady. Any Chance Of Getting My Money Back? by stanliwise(m): 11:37pm On Jul 17, 2020 |
nusdog: I know I let my guards down. So there was this lady who I would call Miss T. She was introduced to me by her senior sister who I knew through a facebook group. Since I told her I needed a girl for a serious relationship, she said she will link me to her younger sister in Akungba, Ondo state.
So, fast forward to when I began speaking with Miss T, she agreed to come to see me in Lagos but complained of not having enough for transport. So due to the recommendation i got that she was a good lady, I sent her N11, 000 as transport.
So after sending her this money, only for her to call me on the eve of the day she was supposed to come. that one of her relative was ill. So I just had this feeling that this was too coincidental to be true.
So I tried to cajole her to return the money since I sensed she was trying to play smart with me. She said no problem. That I can send my account number, which I did. After waiting for 3 days, I chatted her up on whatsapp that I'm yet to see any alert from her. Only for her to tell me she needs money for now.
So I said she is supposed to keep her promise of returning it, after which, she blocked her on whatsapp. I contacted her senior sister who linked us and her response too wasn't satisfactory to me.
So I'm really bitter with how the whole episode played, any chances of me recovering my money? just pained why someone will block me on top of my money. Please help. Please Bro move on and forget that money. She played you first, se you were desperate for a relationship and here it has landed you. Don’t make us believe you want to just invite her over for chat and hangout. Next time, if you must play games, then you must be a player. If you don’t want to play games then you must understand how to avoid games. But I bet you don’t. You need to work on your social life bro. |

mrchineke: Ok, no vex ma! Apologies.
But sha men are catching on and it is now a proven fact that women don’t need any man to survive. I will disown any daughter who chooses to depend on a man instead of doing for herself. Never wait for any man including a husband!! Everyone wether man or woman should get and ask for from anyone as much as he/she is ready to give to such person. If a woman can give so much their is nothing wrong in asking for so much. Except the partner don’t want such dedication and he/she is not willing to give also then things are balanced. By the way I am a guy. |

I think killing is the best. Are you sane at all. Prolly you should have been the one in that picture rather than those children. |

lexy2014: What do u mean by "good things"? If a woman wants those "good things", is she going to spend b4 she has them? My point was clear, everyone deserves how much they can give. That’s the conclusion of my point. A person becomes stingy when one wants more than one gives. It doesn’t matter the gender. |

TruthinAction: I understand your point. But it's the present reality we find ourselves but I believe God will raise a generation of more honest leaders in the nearest future. As for Magu, those who are supposed to charge him are equally guilty of corruption charges which Magu himself is aware of. So, if they try to go further to convict him, he will also expose them. And he already started with Malami. So instead of disgracing one another, let everyone go his way. Dogs should not eat dogs. I pray too o. May God raise better leaders for tomorrow. |

paulolee: wow....really strange indeed but it looks like a Photoshoped work even if its real.. am not surprised because i onced watched a documentary about aquatic species and i realized that they are a lot of species living in the water that haven't been discovered.. since its in Malaysia, they would keep and breed it and people all over the world would travel down to malay to see this rare sexy looking fish.. but if its my beloved country, na pot things sure pass and they would keep that sexy looking head for the killer of the fish.. but i cant blame my people because they say "when the available becomes unavailable, the unavailable becomes available".. This one could be photoshopped but as fish close to this feature is called sheepshead |

Alexgman1: NAIRALANDERS, There is this very pretty fair lady who lives nearby and always comes to my house to jist, watch DSTV, sometimes play scrabble & chess. As we attend thesame church.
But she doesnt reject drink or food each time i ask or offer to entertain her. Infact she now enters my kitchen freely.
How do I politely stop or reduce her almost everyday visitation? (because of food).
This pandemic is hitting me hard & its not getting funny. Omo then tell them to provide money when next you wanna cook. If you don’t like that idea then inform them of the plans you have for your food when next they approach the food. Aside this you can allow them come to visit at will except that is draining you too. |

BluntTheApostle: I am sure that if we kept a list of endangered animals in Nigeria, monitor lizards would be on the list.
In short, every wild animal will be on the list.
Aside Boko Haram who have finished our wildlife in Sambisa forest, many Nigerians seem to be in a competition to deplete our wildlife.
In the future, we will be importing animals from Kenya just so that our children will see a real wild animal in a zoo. The reality of the country we call Nigeria. It’s unfortunate that except appropriate body intervene and take thing serious ly nothing can be done with this mentality which belongs to the majority |

MrBrownJay1: just like ladies can date who they desire, men also should stay away from goldigging good for nothing women.
there is nothing wrong with a stingy man, and people should stop trying to make them look like there is something wrong with them. if a man earns money, he has all the right to decide how to spend his money. NOBODY (especially broke women) has any right to demand that he spends HIS money the way some deluded stranger deems fit.
as the proud chairman of the NL "money dont grow on trees" club, i can assure you, if a woman has the audacity to call anybody stingy, then simply reply to her:" biitch, since you think that money grows on trees, then why dont you spend YOUR money... and shut your dirty mouth, instead of thinking that MY money is "your" money"
the best way for a man to be broke is by wasting his money trying to impress good for nothing women that havent worked a day in their lives and dont know the VALUE of money. I agree with your points but sadly most men who don’t want to spend likes good things and want to have it. That is where problems comes in. Am not in support of lavishing on a lady when she is not worth it. But then again it is good we deserve what we can give. |

MrBrownJay1: people in Florida are not suffering and smiling... like in Nigeria. the day they do, you will see how all them crocs etc will end up in people fridge. Although monitor lizard are not endangered and for this specific one I don’t know it existence status but I advise we stop using suffering as an excuse for killing wildlife. The said man above didn’t tell you if he didn’t see the monitor lizard he will not feed. He just happen to want to cook it. I am not blaming him on this one though. |

TruthinAction: There is no politician that is not corrupt. Our politics itself is founded on corruption. We all know this unless you were just born yesterday. Even the President himself is not exempted. How can he be the minister of Petroleum and audit report reveals so much corruption practices under his watch? We do have people of integrity in this country but they won’t allow them to attain to the positions of leadership. I understand with the bolder statement you are being defensive and not wanting to let guard down but with such mindset, if anyone is a politician he/she can never have a chance to appeal to you that he/she is not corrupt. This mindset could lead us to push people to actions they would naturally not do. It also gives people a sense of entitlement that if I am a politician then I must steal. Magu to start with is not a politician but I understand that since he works in the high places then it is fine for a typical Nigerian to assume his hand is in the cookie jar. My argument is if he is found guilty why has the presidential panel not convict him? Secondly, why has all his predecessors suffer same thing and why has none being convicted? |

The PCARA and NFIU have been on this issue since 2018 and before you imply that the media are lying, you must have more knowledge on the matter Did I say the media were lying? Everything is still under the word “allegations”. If the presidential panel are serious, a set date should be filed for judgment of this case. |
