The visit of the president is very high profile and might cause the boko haram terrorist to launch an attack, surely the president will be well protected but what about ordinary people going about their buisness, so what is wrong in declaring a holiday so people can stay home thereby saving lives and property?

I do not support the idea of creating a generation of youths depending on the government, but this bill should'nt have fallen flat on it's face. It should have tweeked to a government job creation scheme for those unemployed youths to "earn" their money.

Power is important to drive industry and investment but it is not the solution to our problems. The real drivers of our country should be children!! Education! Giving our children all that is needed for them to be in inventors and drivers of a global future, india does'nt have constant power supply but it's younger generation are pushing boundaries in software technology and very soon their economy will trunce europe. The solution to nigeria's problems has to be an all of the above approach.
