Nicompop: And look at what Okada people did to fashola ...lol
Your username depicts you as a stu*id person. Does the BRT buses belong to Fashola or Lagos state Government? What a silly person you are, people like you shouldn't be found in sane environment

thelastPope: Be fooling yourselves there! PDP doesn't even need to sell themselves. ACN is doing a good job of selling PDP. The rate at which ACN is going, by 2015, PDP might not even need to do adverts! Lol

You sit on your high horse up there and spew garbage and forget that PDP won Lagos Island, Badagry, Ikorodu in the last local government election. ACN got away with rigging there but won't get away with rigging in 2015 thanks to GEJ's new free and fair elections stance! Thank God the courts overturned their rigging for island. In 2015, we are waiting. It doesn't matter which party wins, (LP, PDP, Accord, whatever) but we know who not to vote for. Hypocrites and crooks. We will know the candidate when we see him! Stay tuned!
Whoever takes over the realms of power from Fashola, for me is inconsequential as long as he is not PDP.

Not in support of rigging but you will bear me witness that no PDP governed state has an opposition party winning a chairmanship seat. Its good that LASIEC and Lagos State Judiciary are reliable That is why elections can be upturned in favour of an opposition party unlike PDP states where their judiciary has been pocketed

luvinhubby: Don't be too sure, we know what happened in 2003.
What happened in 2003? Was Lagos among the States who lost to PDP? Rather than leave my hopes on people like Bode George and his cohorts I'll prefer to be with an unreliable Tinubu.

thelastPope: Just imagine the credentials of ACN, the so called righteous party that want to rule Nigeria:

Ethnocentric
Tribal
Elitist
Arrogant
Divisive
Callous
Anti people
Undemocratic
Uncivilised

Yet they claim they are better than the PDP. Ironically, their last 2 presidential candidates (2007 and 2011) were borrowed from the PDP. One was even a rejected crook. They claim they are more politically advanced than everyone else, yet one man tells all of them what to do and pockets all the juicy contracts in their states. So much for credible, progressive party and political sophistication. Sad!

Is this what they want to present to Nigerians? A party that is aggressively pushing ethnic profiling will now go to the same Nigerians in 2015 and ask for their votes? Something tells me they are not intelligent at all.

On the other hand, maybe they have realised they can never win the presidency so they now want to build a kind of regional empire. Only problem with this is that they are not democrats and are anti people so they will eventually self destruct!
@ lostpope, whoever read your comments would think its borne out of genuine concern for the Okada riders. All these your false sympathy doesn't change a thing. PDP remains unsellable in Lagos

Billyonaire: People dont hate ACN, people hate everything that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu represents. cos he is a tactical fraud, milking everyone in Lagos and having a laid down plan to depopulate Lagos, a script, that he has initiated Fashola to act.
What do you mean by "having a laid down plan to depopulate Lagos"?
Politics › Re: Mimiko’s Victory, End Of ACN In South-west – Afenifere by takedat(m): 7:22am On Oct 25, 2012
Mimiko should be very careful with those he associates with. The same Afenifere leaders who are only interested in self aggrandisement were the ones who sold out the AD to ObJ. Where was Fasoranti and Afenifere when Akala, Daniel,Agagu were plundering the SW? Where was Afenifere when late Adedibu became a lawless lord in the SW? Did Afenifere say something when Daniel single handedly rendered Ogun state House of Assembly non functional?
Yorubas are wiser now than to listen to people whose personal interest supersedes that of others.
These same elders turned Tinubu to the monster he is now when he couldn't rely on them after the 2003 sell out.
Tinubu is unreliable while Fasoranti is an opportunist.

Desola: Awon oloshi! Ariwo igo lo ma pa alaicewater yin. Yorubas are not crying, wailing or complaining about the ACN but this moraeffing okoros who just want the downfall of the Yoruba nation by all means would always cry more than the bereaved. Kilode?

How has ACN been rejected? That Ondo remains in the hands of the incumbent government now equates to a gallant loss to the ACN? Una be toys? Una brains dey work at all? Yes, ACN has its faults and perhaps have been falling in and out of slumber but to compare them to the evil PDP party is just madness!

Tinubu, as bad as he may be perceived, is a necessary evil at this time in the history of Nigerian politics. All i'm concerned about is seeing stellar performance from the ACN governors to seal a final nail in the coffin of the evil PDP and for Labour to surpass its achievements in Ondo.

Whichever way you look at it, the Yorubas would no longer be part of your stupid Nigerian politics, we would decide the best leaders for ourselves and be rest assured that PDP's days in the west are over for good! If you like, dance over your moonlight fire, the recent development in Ondo just proves to the whole world that the Yorubas are a cut above all other rubbish ethnic groups in Nigeria and we should never have been lumped with you di.ckheads in the first place.
You just made my day. Seem people outside the SW region are more interested in the affairs of SW and how it is run. Either its LP or ACN, all we wish for is good governance.
The same outsiders who take keen interest in SW politics are the type who voted in the likes of Theodore Orji, Elechi, Uduaghan for a repeat of non performance.

You cannot just gather and destroy the Okadas. These are people's life

This is not the first elitist action from Fashola. Almost everything he

is endless.

And many of the Okada riders are Lagos state indigenes, not abokis like

thelastPope: Of course it is Fashola's fault! What the heck are you talking about? Is it the queen of England's fault? Something is wrong with your brain. How do you use firearms to enforce traffic laws? Where in the world do you do that? Eediot! Continue to spill blood as you like! Time will tell!
Guy you never seize to amaze me. So if GEJ makes a law and the police is to enforce it and an overzealous police man murders a person in the line of duty would you put the blame on GEJ? Did GEJ take the blame for the police officer that murdered a guy at Agege during the fuel subsidy protest? Notwithstanding, the police officer should be investigated and brought to book.

acidtalk: Hey!

Come to think of it, ACN has never been and will NEVER be the people's choice.

The only reason why people voted for ACN in Osun, Ekiti, Oyo, and Ogun was because they were totally fedup of a PDP corrupt government in those states.

Edo people on the other hand voted for Adams Oshiomole as a person and not ACN as a party. They wanted a man with a level of track record of fighting for the masses. Just the way Nigerians claimed they voted for Jonathan instead of PDP. Only this time the Edo people were lucky to have a man who still realizes the 'kingmakers' I.e The Oba of Benin and other senior state elites could do away in no time.

On the aspect of voting For Fashola for a second term, it was obvious Fashola used or rather tricked the entire Lagosians to get a re-election only to start to show his true colours as an anti-people government. Few months after re-election, the government of Lagos came out with ridiculos policies and Laws which is bringing about more hardship to the populace.

If only PDP and other parties bring forward credible people for election (people with track record). I don't think the entire South West will look at ACN as an option to vote for.

It Is clearly run by ONE MAN (like a family business) who has a very tarnishing track record of nonperfoprmance and corruption.
No political party in Nigeria has ever been the people's choice including PDP as you earlier stated, people rejected PDP but voted in GEJ.Nigerians choose their leaders based on political exigencies. All political parties are riddled with corrupt and inept people who uses politics to achieve their personal goals.

Not all Lagosians are uncomfortable with the new legislations Fashola is introducing, so you might as well speak for yourself.Even in countries like USA not all people are comfortable with all Government policies.

Godfatherism abound in all political parties including LP where Mimiko is the alpha and omega of the party.
Politics › Re: Jagaban Returns To Lagos Empty-handed by takedat(m): 11:03pm On Oct 23, 2012
@Op, didn't he go there empty-handed? You cannot lose what you never had. Elections are meant to be won or lost, they won Edo and lost to the incumbent in Ondo.

Every political party uses propaganda as a tool for their selfish interest.
The people of Ondo have made their choice and we all should abide by it.
Politics › Re: Lagos Threatens Total Okada Ban by takedat(m):
Fashola should ban Okada totally. Why should people leave their respective states and head to Lagos all in the name of making fast money from Okada business.

Ban on Okada will reduce the In-Patients who troop into Igbobi and other orthopaedic home. The recklessness associated with Okada riders is alarming.

For those clamouring that the Fashola should create an alternative for them, my question is, should Fashola be held responsible for the
inefficiencies of the other 35 state governors and the FG? If other
state governors remain aloof over the welfare of their people and
they(riders) relocate to Lagos all in the name of riding a bike, then
its not Fashola's responsibility to create jobs for them.

This okada business is really making education less attractive. You see young boys droping out of school to become okada riders.

There are millions of unemployed youths who have not resorted to Okada business and they are fending for themselves.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

If you as much as have enough proof to nail Tinubu of corruption why not petition the appropriate quarters. Tinubu is no saint just like everyone in Nigeria's political class but its getting boring when people throw such allegation without an iota of fact to back it up. The EFCC is PDP controlled and Tinubu is PDP chief antagonist, If Tinubu is walking today as a free man and EFCC have not been able to charge him for graft then I believe the man should be excused.

I begin to wonder at times if Tinubu is responsible for the under development of Northern Nigeria or the total neglect of the ND and why should he be singled out. If PDP which had been in existence long before ACN had been able to stemm corruption in its fold, newcomers like ACN would have found it difficult to engage in corruption.

All politicians in Nigeria are corrupt even the recently victorious Mimiko must have used monies from the state coffers to fund his campaign. What is good for the sauce is good for the gander. Let it be a total condemnation of all politicians rather than concentrating only on one

GEJ will never order the destruction of people's Okada and if you cannot see the callousness and wickedness in that, then something is wrong with you emotionally. Give them back their Okada! Give them back their 4 years savings!! Give them back their biggest family investment!!! Like I said before, I don't mind some level of ban on them. The last person I can remember that did that kind of stuff to the poor was king Louis of france, the man in the iron mask. It is totally insane!!! No defense for it!
Guy I feel for those riders but they had been forewarned before now and a deadline was given to them. They chose to ignore the Government at their own peril. Customs, SON seize contraband items which may be beneficial to others but the common norm is to burn them.

Should Fashola be solely held responsible for the unemployment rate in Nigeria. Indigenes of other states all reside in Lagos while their state governors remain aloof about their welfare. If their respective State governors had provided for them there will be no need for them to relocate to Lagos and start okada business. For your information, a majority of those who migrate to Lagos are relatives and dependants of those who already live here. People came here because it was the federal capital of Nigeria for decades. The stench of hypocrisy hung in the air. If other states had banned Okada and no one raised objection to it why should we then condemn Lagos state for following suit. Does it mean if a state like Imo or Bayelsa bans okada, the riders should move to Lagos?

Okada business has been hijacked by people from Niger Rep. And Chad. The evil associated with Okada far outweighs its benefit.

Those complaining that the government should find alternative for them should tell GEJ to provide employment for those who had lost their jobs in banks and the unemployed. There is much need to improve our agricultural sector, they(rides) can return to their villages or learn a craft after all.

Why should the PDP bring the issue of tribalism because the last time I checked Oshiomhole won the Edo election on the platform of ACN and the people of Edo are not Yorubas. Till date Oshiomhole hasn't denounced his membership of ACN

Lastly, Olusola Oke has not conceded defeat. The last we heard from him was he's trying to appraise the election though that might be against the wish of his party just like the Edo PDP candidate.
