luminouz: Who is the idealist here now? I just gave you a real life scenario and you dey tell me I should get real. What's more real than what I have said. Whoever will cheat will cheat, long distance or not. That's the real deal nigha.
You don't want your fiancée to go to serve far from you because you fear she will fall. To have that fear(that's not precaution) means you have already lost her. You don't think you are good enough, man enough, worthy enough for her to stick with you, despite being in camp or doing NYSC. There are girls who would, that yours let you down didn't mean all other girls WOULD lose their discipline.
Witha guy like me, my gf knows that my fear is never if she cheats or not, she knows once I detect any misbehaviour,I simply upgrade to the next beautiful babe on my list. She knows I have options. So if she fuqs up,I won't start crying and wailing, I will simply get another girl. Once a woman knows you fear losing her or such BS, you are telling her you don't have options and that makes you undesirable her. A woman whose man is desirable by other women are always quick to stay in line,so as not to lose him.
I'm telling you real shiit hommie. Tested and trusted stuff. My personal experience.
N.B: what dafuq are you on about people who don't want to drink avoid bars and such? How does that tie to relationships stuffs about long distance or NYSC? Are the bars far away or the men fuqin their drinks? You on some weird shiit nigga. You clearly do not understand how an analogy works. Also, your head is so deep in your ass you think redpill has made you figure out women. I laugh at your naivete. |

nitrogen: Stop running around like a bush god.
Countries default when there are macroeconomic issues, e.g. fall in crude oil prices, pandemics etc. Lagos state is not reliant on Crude oil, IGR is good and they can continue to service their debts.
As long as the loans go to infrastructure development and other sections of the economy that will yield additional revenue in the future, then no issues. If you borrow 1 billion to get 80-100m annual revenue or cashflow for 40-50 years, then the borrowing makes sense. But your lot believe that 10x total loan to annual revenue does not make sense.
Bros, if you don’t understand how it works, ask questions. Get me well, I am not against loans. Especially loans that are ploughed into projects that will yield returns. And you're the one refusing to face reality Mr man. Are you saying same macroeconomic issues cannot affect a state's IGR? Are you seriously supporting continuous pile up of loans up to 1000% Debt to revenue ratio and see nothing wrong with it? Especially seeing that most of the loans are not in Naira, which means that fluctuations in FX rates significantly affect the total amounts and IGR is in Naira, as well as the fact that politicians cannot be trusted to actually use these loans effectively? You must be joking. |

emmaodet: It is not about redpill bro, it is what it is. Over the years, have learnt to face my fear. If a woman travels and cheat, So what ? What next? Is that the end of life for me? The time i placed my life and purpose on women is over bro, have learnt to focus more on things i can control than what i can't. A woman is a human like me with her own mind, life and decisions. What she does are solely controlled by her and there is nothing i can do about that. She can decide to bang all the men from Egbeda to Iyana ipaja ayobo and there is fuuucking nothing i can do about that BUT what i can control is myself - my life, adding values to myself and positioning myself in better and better places to meet more and more better people in my own little way. Bro, have outgrown that stage of losing a woman, have outgrown the Phobia and very very very very Selfish now. I watch out for my interest now and i love it. Lol. You are actually doing the exact opposite of facing your fear. Emotional bonding and love is a natural human need and no amount of avoidance can change that. You see, in all meaningful relationships, vulnerability is always key. Of course being a pragmatist is great. Have boundaries and all that. And surely no one can be expected to be 100% loyal or trustworthy. Even you yourself are not. These are facts of life. However, going through life avoiding vulnerability means you're actually weak and unable to embrace your fears. Find someone who shares same values and outlook to life and share your life with them, no matter how long/short it lasts. Life is meaningless and monotonous without love and emotional bonds my guy. We all need love. |

luminouz: Precaution? That's outright fear. Your so called precaution is based on the premise that the closer, the better but you are wrong. Because husbands and wives living together still cheat. So what you on about? Lol. Why do people who wanna stop heavy drinking or smoking avoid bars and smoke joints? Of course it doesn't mean it would make them stop but there is a good reason. I suppose going by your logic even married people can decide not to live together, cos it really doesn't matter? Stop all these idealism and whataboutism and get real man. Cheers. |

luminouz: What he actually said is reality. No need to fear losing anyone. And if you can't trust a gf for one year in service, how will you trust her in the eternity of marriage?
This is the reality. If you see taking precaution as fear, then knock yourself out bro. Precaution is not same as fear. Of course this doesn't rule out cheating on her part. That can happen even when you're both living in same house. It's just like avoiding smoke joints or bars when one is trying to stop smoking or drinking heavily. It's called taking precaution. And it's the same way a woman who wants to keep her man never agrees to long-distance relationships or marriage. To each his own. |

emmaodet: I will rather allow my gf to go for NYSC than to be scared of losing her. Rule number 1 - Never be scared of losing a woman. If a woman will misbehave because she is far away from you, it is simply because she is a loose woman. Don't try to cage her or slow her progress down just for a selfish reason that doesn't worth it. Haha. I find it amusing when y'all keep expecting women to be saints. They, just like we men, are humans and can slip at any time. It's so funny how men expect commitment but sleep around without any care in the world. There is a reason why couples should actually stay together. Humans are fickle and body no be firewood. Leave redpill and face reality man. |

nitrogen: If there is suffice debt capacity, lenders will continue to provide loans to states that have capacity. There is a reason why other metrics like debt to gdp, and revenue to debt service exist. Does not make sense to use debt to revenues abeg.
What about a company with 100m annual revenue with 500m debt in its capital structure? I guess the company will remain perpetually poor or fold up even though cash flows available for debt service is over 1.5x?
Nawa for you o. Capital structure can mean anything, including equity. In any case, if there is any major operational/admin failure and the revenue drastically reduces, or is constantly siphoned away, what happens? You are surely not comparing a company to a state. Are you? By the way, this is how some countries kept being reckless until they actually defaulted. You think it's impossible? Na real waa for Naija economists. |

Politics › Re: Pa Fasoranti Backs Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition by TheRealestGuy(m): 3:03am On Apr 07, 2021 |
UTILITYMAY: Even though I am not a fan of this present administration. For sure power must return to the South in 2023 otherwise the fallout from power remaining in the North will be too devastating for Nigeria and Northerners in particular.
The main point is that the North must not be involved in the emergence of this Southrner be it South East, South South, or South West.
The North should support a level playing field and back off. The South must not accept a Southern stooge that will be too weak for the North to control, because once we do that then critical and badly needed reforms like state policing, restructuring and greater autonomy for states and tiers of governance will be automatically off the table for 8 years after 2023 and potentially 16 years assuming the North then gains power in 2031.
In 2014 the South West supported Buhari, who had always wanted to lead, to gain power. Let the North do same for the South by at least refraining from trying to scheme out strong and independent-minded Southerners like Tinubu. We don't want their stooge in the form of Fayemi, Jonathan or anyone else because we know what that is aimed at achieving which is keeping it "business as usual" for the North for another 8 years till they get power back.
A lot of things about Nigeria must change for good once the North is away from the Presidency but these changes can only be delivered if it is a sagacious and independent-minded Southerner like Tinubu that replaces Buhari. It is not about power coming South alone but about ensuring it gets into the hands of the right type of Southerner.
I would have love to go for the pairing of Osinbajo/Zulum for the ticket, but my fear is that will Osinbajo be able to have a hold on the Nortern cartels and cabals?
Hence, my choice for Tinubu and any other strong Christian Northerner as his running mate, since Nigerians won't accept a Muslim/Muslim ticket. While I have not seen any stats that show that the life of Nigerians from any part of the country will be significantly bettered by their own being president; and strongly believe that this 'share the national cake' mentality has ruined a formerly promising country, why isn't everyone talking about the South-East getting a shot at the presidency? At least in the interest of equity and fairness? This baffles me and I wouldn't mind a sincere response. Because if we are to go by your line of reasoning, the north has absolutely no reason to cede power to the south. |

If you're in a serious relationship with marriage in sight, do not allow your babe to serve in another state or location that isn't same with yours. It will likely end in tears. To the OP, I guess when she's letting you down gently, it kills one softly. Heartbreak is part of life. Whether in romance, family or finance. Take some Jack to forget and cry if you must. nitrogen: Do you know what you are saying? Debt outstanding is different from debe service amounts. Go check. Can owe 1 trillion, and have interest and principal repayments of 100b. If your revenue is 200b, then you should be fine because DSCR using revenue is 2x. And this is how African countries remain perpetually poor, especially as there is no corresponding productivity that can lead to radical rise in GDP and IGR. Keep deceiving yourself with US comparism. |
Politics › Re: Debts Exceeded Revenues In Lagos, Cross River, FCT, Others – FRC by TheRealestGuy(m): 2:15am On Apr 07, 2021 |
nitrogen: USA has debt to revenue of 700 percent, same with other developed countries.
The right metric is debt service to revenue. If you can service your debt close to two times in one year especially in a low interest rate environment, no qualms at all.
Of course, judicious use of debt is encouraged. First of, you are comparing a whole country to a state? Really? Secondly, do you honestly understand why the US can have such high debts and are not bothered? To answer this, look at the country's GDP, look at the world's currency reserves and what currency dominates in that regard. There is no argument in favour of any of those states accruing such humongous debts. There's a reason the DMO recommends not exceeding 50%. So, try again, cos there's serious qualms. |

You obviously don't, so shut up. They are supposed to be paid terminal benefits before they then sign any new contracts/terms of employment. That is what the law says. Omoluabi1stborn: And nah Nnmadi Azikwe cause all this rubbish.
In 1953 when Northern Nigerians were beginning to consider secession from the Nigerian colony that would soon be a nation, Nnamdi Azikiwe gave a speech before the caucus of his political party, the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) in Yaba, Nigeria on May 12, 1953. That speech, while not disallowing secession, suggested that there would be grave consequences if the Northern region became an independent nation. Ironically, fourteen years later, Azikiwe led his Eastern Region out of Nigeria and created Biafra, a move that prompted a bloody three year civil war. Azikiwe’s 1953 speech appears below.

Stereotypes will always exist whether we like it or not.
However, it is a pretty known fact that the Igbo man is the most detribalised Nigerian.
That is why he is able to live in every nook and cranny if the world.
Now in my experience with Yorubas, having been born and lived in Lagos and Ogun states for many many years, I have come to the conclusion that the average Yoruba man is very tribalistic and will easily take the crown in that aspect.
This is not to absolve the Igbo or Hausa but I have seen firsthand that when it comes to the three major tribes, Yoruba easily takes the cake.
You can quote me and cry all you want, it's the simple truth.
That is not to say that Yorubas are bad people.
