The only thing worse than being a home wrecker is the being the person disrespectful enough to cheat on a committed, legally binding relationship. What are the immediate and long term consequences of a spinster/married woman having a crush with a married man who is not her husband?

FYI   If he felt he was in a "committed, legally binding relationship" he wouldn't be cheating! Cheating wouldn't
even be a topic in the marriage. So, clearly, what the wife thinks and what the husband thinks are 2 different
things. Though I'm sure he's lying his arse off, pretending he's the innocent party in all of this!

The person outside of the marriage can't do anything or cause any more harm than the person within the
marriage allows them to. He might be telling her he's getting a divorce or he's separated from his wife.
You never know.

Sometimes the 'other woman' feels if the husband doesn't respect the marriage, why should she? So the wife's issue is with HIM!
A wife's first reaction is to attack the 'other woman', but He's the one who spoke the wedding vows, not the 'other woman!'

Very interesting question. Unfortunately a great many people have found themselves in this

predicament. Those rare individuals who actually waited until they were married to start a family.

If you truly love your mate it would be very difficult and also unfair to leave for something they had no control

over. Adoption or being a foster parent are 2 options. A surrogate is another option.

1. The Igbo people are too reserved and have deliberately failed to promote their culture like that of other cultures African Americans run to when looking to Africa.

2. African Americans are looking for cultures that created empires and that are legitimised by European historians (where they get Africa's history) because their systems were similar to Europe's in that stage. If you say the Igbo did not have an empire, they will be turned off because they have nothing to rub in the face of the descendants of those who oppressed them. This is why African Americans focus on Ghana and other select parts of Africa, European stories.

3. Because of the reason above, the Igbo culture was not included in the 1970's African cultural revival, where cultures like the Akan, Yoruba, Mandinka and Kiswahili language and sometimes Kongo culture were focused on. The African Americans were looking for images of black power, and what better than an African emperor? Mansa Musa, Queen Nzinga, Ya Asantewa, etc.

Africa is such a large continent, let us be more specific. I propose they travel to Igboland, and that Igbo culture and language should be taught in schools where African Americans attend. Now that is going back to your roots. I don't understand why some schools teach Kiswahili, even though East Africa has nothing to do with the Atlantic Slave Trade.

I understand, thank you for your response. The only problem is how would African American's determine whether
they are descendants from Igbo or any other tribe. I won't try to speak for all African Americans, but I'll say a
great many only consider the continent of Africa itself, not it's make up. But as you stated that lack of
knowledge only reflects a lack of teaching. Or a lack of caring on the African American's part.

Perhaps the writer is referring to the daughters of rich Nigerian men.

Whenever anything is reported via news stations or news papers in regards to Nigeria or Africa only the most depressed

regions are shown.  Your boyfriend probably feels this represents the entire continent. Therefore, it would be easy to

understand how someone would feel as  he does. Plus it is reported Africa has the highest number of H.I.V. cases in

the world. Not very appealing if that's all that's been shown to you about Africa.

A lot of them claim to be Jamo to 'get ignorant American chicks' who sadly but true

for the most part think, once you are black with an accent you are Jamaican.

This is not true! American women DO NOT think when a Black man has an accent he's

automatically Jamaican. A Jamaican accent sounds totally different from that of an African!

Curious to know what tribe this woman would be from. She does not look like a

We can't assume the women who are with rich men actually love the men. Most likely it's for their money. Dangote is an o.k.

Very true! When a woman is beautiful gaining a relationship is easy. Maintaining a relationship is a whole different matter!
