Most likely the second option. It becomes immediately obvious that most 'graduates' are semi-literate, once they put pen to paper.

Keep on deceiving the gullible minds, thinking u are doing them a big favor.

For the wife to even tell their friend that "he has been doing it b4, why complaining now"? According to OP, it somewhat means that d guy does cook in the house often, even more than the wife, and when d guy kinda asks her to come cook, she will be like, hian, "haven't u been cooking all these while"?

It will be understandable to point out that the gal always cooks, but the husband do help out or cook @times. But certainly not more than the wife.

As a child,we were thought the work of mother/wives and then that of father/husband. Don't try to switch roles here. So, while d hubby be cooking, wetin d wife go come de do? because,it is certain that d guy does almost all d cooking.

I know u want to be civil, but, my dear, if we want to preserve our culture and be who we want to be and represent, then certain things must be done in an uncivilized way/manner.

We all know how our parents do flog or beat us black and blue those years, "the act was uncivil". But almost all of us are glad today because d steps our parents toed(uncivil) in bringing us up, really got d best of us.

Assume the hubby cheated on her a couple of times while they were courting, would she had told him to go ahead and cheat, after all he has been cheating? The truth is dat she is running away from her duties as a wife and den covering it up with such statements which is very selfish.

I mean, why d fuk did I marry in d 1st place?

If na fuk? I can get it,married or not.
If na fud? Fast foods and mama nkechi dem full ground.
If na children? I go just knack one girl belle, deceive her till she gives birth or go for adoption.

So, if u think that the man is towing the line of the society, "I am d man"is wrong because it is a societal norm, then marriage will be wrong because marriage is also a societal norm and it is overrated. And if u think they should not go by d norms and values of the society they live in then they should not have gotten married in the 1st place.
Much respect!

This Igbo people, they use crime swear for una ni, Land of the rising crime, where drug trafficking will be legal
the end of a rugged street in Ikotun area of Lagos, house No 40, a gated storey building stands shoulder to shoulder with other houses, bearing the signs of age and numerous tenants.

But in this building inhabited by an elderly landlord, Mr. Sikiru Okunola along with his elderly wife, Bose, and their tenants, one of the greatest crimes a father can commit against his own child, has happened.

Pa Okunola and his wife, who were both alarmed when they were hinted about an incestuous act of one of their tenants, summoned his children, 14-year-old Bisi and 16-year-old Biola to confirm from them whether it was true that their father had been violating them.

The two girls, who showed signs of advanced puberty, sat down on one of the landlord’s couches. Biola, the fair and the older girl seemed guarded and a little quiet as she sat down in a pair of shorts. Her darker sister, Bisi, on the other hand, sat down with a resolute expression.

As Bisi sat with her palms together, wedged in between her knees, she could have passed for any other innocent adolescent girl. Unfortunately, that innocence has been snatched from her by none other than their bricklayer father, Omoyori Adebayo.

It all began in 2012, when Bisi was in Basic Five. She has just been promoted to Junior Secondary Class 2.

Bisi sighed when she launched into her story, as her demeanour did not betray any particular emotion. This was a story she was dying inside to share.

The first time she told this story to a neighbour she confided in, she was told never to tell anybody again. The second time was just a few days ago before our correspondent’s visit, when the case became a family issue. She and her sister were surrounded by unsympathetic family members, who simply told them to let the matter go and forgive their father.

Bisi said, “One night when I was in Primary Five (Basic Five), I realised I could not breathe in the middle of the night and I woke up, I saw my daddy lying on top of me.

“I first thought it was a dream. But when I realised that I was actually awake, I pushed him away from me. He had removed my pants. I could not say anything. But I could not sleep again. I was so afraid of falling asleep.

“Since that day, I have caught him on top of me many times than I can count. He never says anything. When I wake up, I just push him away and he goes back to sleep. I usually tell him, that Daddy, this is an abomination. But still, he continues doing it.

“Sometimes I only know he had done something to me when I wake up and feel pain in my private part. Other times, I just know when I see sperm coming out of my private part.”

Bisi’s case has become an addition to the rising statistics on child sexual abuses perpetrated by victims’ fathers in Nigeria.

Been using my Galaxy S2 since 2012. Battery or should I say processor has been acting up lately. Overheats and rapidly discharges whenever data is turned on.

Bought Infinix Hot 2 for wifey last Sunday and besides the deficient file management system and stock player, I was pretty impressed with the specs compared to the price. Now I'm extremely tempted to go for Hot Note or a similar device with 2GB ROM. Expensive Android gbakwa oku! cheesy

Abeg someone should advise me on which Android to go for: At least 5.5" screen (could be higher) and 2GB RAM, quad or octa core 1.4GHz (or above) processor.

Half the commentators here did not read the article and so they will miss some very respectable and worthwhile messages this man tries to get across.

He speaks of the need for Igbos to invest in the people as well as properties of their host communities. He says Nigeria is the rallying point for all black men on earth and as such we must show that we are better than we have been from the day we were amalgamated. He says Igbos are in the path of Nigeria and will remain so.

He also says that it is an impeach able offense, not constituting a cabinet till now, making the President a dictator of sorts. And that Igbos have been sidelined without a possibility for that to be amended.

Of all he he spoke of the only thing I take exemption to is the impeachment part, because it is silly honestly. But even the President says his appointments have been lopsided and he will redress the situation soon. That said, the whole SGF thing is stupid also, I mean was does it profit a tribe if their man is in the SGF seat??

All in all, I love the words he has for Nigeria, they are ones we should keep espousing as a people and country.
The entire first page of this thread is filled with comments from people who didn't bother to read the article. Hence, all they did was see the Igbo name and base their entire comments on marijuana smoking.

NL is filled with teenagers and young uns. Most wouldn't understand the significance but would just see it as one funny cartoon.

Yup. Cartoon it is, until you've taken up responsibilities and begun to settle major bills besides house rent, feeding and cab fare for everyone in the house.

A man came the other day to raise drafts to settle school fees for three children of his. Two are in pry sch. Each cost N501,000. The other, is in sec sch. Sch fees per term: N541,000. I never knew Enugu had such schools. So he spends approx the cost of a Naija used 2006 Pathfinder. Per term! (Pardon the comparison but that's what it is). Why won't the guy in the cartoon wanna faint? smiley

But all the same it boils down to planning.

Saving for the child's education right from birth (with significant amounts O. Not N5k that you'll put in today and draw tomorrow).

Child spacing.
