I now parked and see smoke billowing from the engine bay.

The shhh just kept burning, even after using about half a fire extinguisher can on it, until we got the bright idea to disconnect the battery.

As soon as the battery was reconnected, it started burning again, which means the abs module is always powered whether the car is on or off as long as the battery is connected,

I have read a couple articles online that detail cars being burnt down at car parks cause the abs just started burning, and no one was around to notice or stop it.

It’s quite a scary situation, honestly. Now I don’t even want to park anymore with my battery head still connected, but that would mean the computer would have to relearn idle rpms and stuff, but I’ll take that over a burnt vehicle.

Below is a pic of the burnt abs module. You can see that it’s the computer that is burnt. Not sure how the computer is isolated from the pump, but maybe brake fluid leaked into the computer and caused it to short out, just a theory.

I said it in December during the surge period that drivers go abandon bolt after December and switch to other apps.
Bolt is a total crap without surge.
Even on indrive, I see ride requests of 1k/1.2k/1.3k and I always wonder who picks these kind rides.
All those indrive passengers wey want go short trips of 1.5k and below should always use bolt/Uber, na there be their sure plug.
As I dey like this, I no dey take eyes see trips of 2k and below, I swipe them out immediately.

If you do 120k weekly and you give owner 30k, 25k on fuel, 12k for app. Then you should have like 50k to yourself.

The downside of this job is having a good car, but as good as your car may sound. After 2 years things may not be the same, that is if it gets up to 2 years. All the work I have been doing this Jan have been going to car. Lining and pot, socks... I still have engine sit to tackle. If you have a car and you have like 150k in your account that is making you to feel like you have one money somewhere car never show you shege.

How else do an ehailling driver want to look good. Shirt and Jeans with pams, AbI you want they knot tie and shoe. The hustle and sun burns one out. Just make your money and damn perception, you as a soul should decide what's important. One of the lessons I've learnt from this hustle is a beggar do have a choice.

That is how i had to remove 90k to buy abs module, omo the tin pain me no be small.

God is in control sha, and I thank God that I was there when it was burning, and it did not start burning while I was sleeping cause I would have lost the whole car to fire.

However, it is still painful to have lost that money for useless abs that I don't even use.

Not once has a Tornado or Hurricane struck Nigeria, yet with great weather, we still can’t build.

One Canadian told me he used to work on an offshore rig in subzero weather conditions. I was already feeling cold just hearing him talk about it. In Naija, the most you will say is that it’s getting too hot, yet we can’t progress.

Even with all out minerals buried underground we still can’t progress. We have oil but can’t progress to refine it here.

We had a road here that had been bad for decades, yet it was repaired in under one month with local boys using interlock stones. So you can stall development for so long only for the project to take under a month? Evil!

Nigeria seems to be a very demonic country, anti progress and anti Christ.

My cousin once covered an open gutter on his street in Lagos using some beautiful aluminum or something, only for the government to come and tel him to remove the progress he did by closing the gutter, and revert back to an open gutter. I guess they are waiting for contract.

The petrol queues today, a few days before Christmas are out of this world.

I saw queues with like 50 cars and above, and I wondered how they had the patience to wait hours to buy petrol.

Do you think this situation will resolve before Christmas or are we going to keep spending hours or days before we can get petrol to power or machines and houses this Christmas?

So I am having this funny and interesting case I've been trashing. Last week Friday as at 9pm, I got a trip from Surulere to Berger for 4800. On arriving to destination, it was a kind of family trip. A lady with twins (probably a year old), her presumed baby sitter and husband. They kind of did birthday at Surulere and was going home (Magodo). So, lots of load to pack and the normal me don't do that, but due to the twins I was a bit soft and talk to the man about the load being much, which he offered to add something to the fare as charter was demanding for 10k (bus tho).

So i roll, the lady being a rude person tried to spring her head and immediately got caution. Had too, I have been observing both of them argue needless and switching to me with such rudeness is a no go area (route wahala).

Ride of 42 mins took 1hr 22 mins, over delay and their stupid argument. Who to pay, the guy said he will do transfer, but his phone is down. OK! He has been trying to charge his phone all way, but phone not coming up. The lady said he only have 1400, guy man practically have to beg/force to get the 1400. Plead with me to drop my account, he will do transfer asap. Time fast burning, so I roll.

I've been calling guy man, he picked and promise to send the money on Saturday. Ever since, he won't pick my calls. I call the lady on Monday, she acted all nice and promise to get back. I made it clear to her that I won't be calling the guy again and if I am forced, I'll come back to where I dropped them to pull Felicity on them. Right now she is the one that booked the ride and as well called me, so I can't be going after someone I don't have business with. She blocked me, promise to send the guy number and right now, she is saying she doesn't have any business with me. The guy is not even is husband and they don't live together. What a case

After the ssssh I went through recently, I'd advice every single driver to get a Dashboard Camera!

I bought one last week and already put it to use.

Even one small girl was giving me attitude at the pick-up spot 2 days ago, I just turned the camera from facing outside to facing her directly. If you see the way the girl quiet down ehn, lol, like when teacher for primary school bring out cain and say "SILEEENCE!"

In your case, you will just send them the video of them agreeing to pay you later and you can use that video as evidence of non-payment, followed by bank statements and all.
