Christianity EtcRe: Pressure On Offerings And Thanksgiving Offerings. by WhyAWhy(m): 2:49am On Jan 08, 2011
This comments are interesting but I would just like to air my own views too
First: I don't dispute the fact that no matter what people do with pure motives, there are others that would amplify it with very dubious motives. Giving is biblical and it's applicable in all areas of human endeavours.

Second: I have never been bothered if a pastor aspires for financial increase in his own life, what's my business? The same people who crucify a pastor for looking wretched while preaching the gospel would also use mouth to pull him down if he looks good. What measure of comfort is too small or too big is left to you to decide. Either a pastor now decides to empower himself financially in a right way or in a crooked way is his own business.

Third: I believe in the total gospel and hence I pay my tithe in church. I have obeyed God, not my pastor and whatever happens to the money is no longer my concern, it's no longer my money and wherever it lands is accountable to God.

Lastly: It's important we all learn to find and know God by ourselves so that you won't be cajoled into doing this by sweet talking and utterances that are clearly against the bible. The day I see desperation in the voice of a pastor in taking money from the congregation, that's the last time I step into that church. When God calls people for real, He empowers them in various ways. Many have called themselves and are hence trying to survive by all means.

slymm:
you will break up with him if he refuses to burn the letters?? Isn't that a bit harsh? I personally couldn't be bothered by such, in my view, everyone has a past. I have pics of my exes, so does my bf, they are kept along with old pics and as long as they are in no ones face, no biggie. I will only have problems with pics on the phone, laptop or any other personal electronic device, especially the semi unclothed ones.
very correct and FYI you might turn out to be my ex also someday. So for me, I just keep everything, would part with it all when i marry someone. grin

RomanceRe: Right Time To Announce A Wedding? by WhyAWhy(m): 5:29pm On Nov 12, 2010
I personally think it boils down to personal preference. No time is too early or late. , it depends on the individual

If I announce my own wedding 2 weeks to the time, I will still have as much crowd as if I announce a year to the time.

Like I said it's a personal thing besides, I love giving shock news like doing it when people least expect to hear. The same way I won't announce my engagement.

The most important thing is that people get to know .

RomanceRe: How Can One Toast A Church Lady by WhyAWhy(m): 3:29pm On Oct 26, 2010
It's a simple matter to me unless there's something else like the previous comment said.

You're already in the choir, that's a sense of commitment and I guess she would sense your measure of seriousness spiritually (if you're serious oh).

Be more active in the front lead, vocals, instrumentalists etc, that naturally attacts women to men (or otherwise). Don't draw too close but make sure you're always around her radar. Become friends with her, don't start any obvious pointers like frequent calls, walking home after service etc. I guess all other things should fall in place smoothly. As regards this vision thingy, me I don't know oh.

RomanceRe: If Your Lover Loss Her Virginity 2 Another Guy,what Would U Do? by WhyAWhy(m): 3:16pm On Oct 26, 2010
zealot4me:
how i wish there is a sign to knw if a boy is a virgin or not (unlike gals very open sign) lol,
I quite agree with that but there's still many guys who would rather keep themselves than go down just any hole.

My last girl friend had been seriously sexually active before I met her, and I made it very clear to her that I would not sleep with her not even for once. But for the period while the relationship lasted, tots of her making love to another man kept haunting me. It's really hard for a guy that's not been sleeping around to marry a non-virgin.

But then different strokes for different folks. I pray to meet my future wife as a virgin.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Churches Pay Their Instrumentalists? by WhyAWhy(m): 12:55pm On Oct 16, 2010
alexleo:
image123,
you are getting it wrong here and your sorry is not necessary. Do you know that the people who study music in the university pay the same school fees as those that study engineering, medicine and any other course? No university or school of music does their music teaching free of charge because somebody is going to use it to play in the church. The way some churches do it like my church is that we run a music school where people are taught this things free of charge and strictly for playing in our church and I can tell you that before you even enroll in the music school you must have spent some time in the church and we are sure you are truly born again. Even when you are learning it, if we discover that your life style is inconsistent with the word of God we sack you. If churches want free instrumentalists, they should invest in it and train them free. Not when somebody pays to learn it to earn a living you want him to play for free by force. It is not a thing of force. It is something that the person will do out of a willing heart so stop your condemnation. Churches pay pastors and bishops, they pay engineers and other skilled workers when they need their services and here you are condemning someone who pays his way through to learn music just like any other profession. YOU ARE WRONG PLS. Allow people to do something for God out of freewill and not by FORCE. At the same time I do not support churches who employ this musicians irrespective of their dirty life style. They should make sure that it is born again musicians that are playing for them. God is holy and we must worship him in holiness. Not anyhow. God bless you dear.
Thumbs up!!! I give you 10/10, I was angry when I first saw this and was about to reply and saw that you had already done that?

I play for my church here in U.K and I was offered money to keep up my commitments but I refused, that was my choice because I had other ways of sustaining myself. I tried to upgrade my skill level by enrolling with a professional musician who ask for an hourly pay of £14, now think about it, does he care that I want to use it for God, whatever jooor.

If a church feels it needs good instrumentalist, get a professional who will train people free of charge and like you said who will get commited to doing it.

For the Poster, it's the choice of a church to pay its instrumentalists for whatever reason, that's the only career some people have so why not (and besides it's a profession also)
RomanceRe: Guys Only: What Do Men Really Want In Ladies? by WhyAWhy(m): 12:40pm On Oct 16, 2010
To Women: MEN want only 3 things 1. Sex, 2. Sex and finally 3. Sex, it's sad this is quite overated
To Men: Women are after their money
so the market is now a trade of Sex against Money.

One Question I keep asking my fellow men is this, just eat up Tracy and find out that Sade is better or probably Kemi can throw more stunts in bed and comparative to Chinwe, she comes back for more which relative to Nurat is more than a Maranthon session, haba believe me you can NEVER find someone who will completely satisfy you in bed, there will always be a better craving of the grass being greener on the other side, and endless search for what can never be found. I guess that's the default configuration for SEX.

An Emotionally matured man who probably not look for an angel (she must be this that bla bla bla as listed , ) but a woman that's simply TEACHABLE. Once you find that, Life is Good and most things would fall in place. Why do people think Sex has to be rehearsed with many partners before, this generation!!!

For the Ladies, Once the Car gets out of the showroom, it's value depreciates by about 25%, how many men will Test drive you?

A man lives on the 18th floor of a building,
He uses the lift every morning to get to the ground floor
When he comes back in the evening, he uses the lift from the ground floor to get to the 12th floor
and walks the rest of the way using the stairs,

If anyone enters the lift with him at any of the floors while going up, he simply goes to the 18th floor directly

What could be responsible for this?
