ProgrammingRe: I Want To Develop Mobile Applications by WhyAWhy(m): 10:54pm On Jul 10, 2012
take it from me, I know Objective-C, took about 1 month to fully master. I had already know Java and C# before then, Objective-C is not so straight forward not something you can pick in a week comfortably but we all differ sha. I developed an app for my masters project and have since abandoned it cos I don't have any apple hardware(school provided the one for masters). Getting back on the wheel but going more in the direction of Android cos of Java.

Well it depends on the intended user. I do heavy multimedia and write softwares and just got into apps. My iphone is for testing. Used ipad for about one month and had to part with it. Nothing beats the company of my laptop. Like i said it boils down to what you do with what you have.

There are many men on this forum who are 1 cent worth of a man. I wonder what you think a man is.

Possibilities
1. His wife is cooking in the kitchen while he needs to do a quick laundry. Kitchen environment is not too good for a baby's respiratory health
2. His wife has gone to the market/is ill and he wants to save her from the trouble of carrying the baby around.

infact, you people should get a life! Sometimes i feel ashamed of being a man hearing the way some men think. What's wrong in this for crying out loud?!!
It takes more than having a pendulum to be called a man!!!

NYSCRe: How To Write An NYSC Personal CDS Project Proposal by WhyAWhy(m): 4:55pm On Jun 22, 2012
Question 1: What becomes of the library after you leave?
Question 2: What are your long term goal for sustaining the library
Question 3: Refer to Question 2

Background: I have seen several "libraries" built by corpers in various communities. Many of them are a shadow of themselves barely 5 months after its completed

NOTE: Building is not equal to Library and in all sincerity a library project is not what ANY single individual can embark on. Community libraries are multimillion naira projects on their own.

Chei Oga oh

1. NEVER make blood Covenants with ANYONE. (I think I read that you quoted Ruth grin grin What a contradiction)
2. NEVER open your laps to any man talk more of getting pregnant or even abortion when you're not married
3. A MAN will ALWAYS see a NEW THING so KEEP your PRIDE.

Solution:
Pick up the pieces of your life again, naturally the law of karma will catch up. You've lost so much, you can't gain it back again. This guy obviously just used you to pass time, he's never coming back except with JAZZ sha but then grin grin grin grin

PoliticsRe: Lawsuit Filed In Chicago Over Nigerian Plane Crash by WhyAWhy(m): 9:37am On Jun 08, 2012
I really don't understand,
0. Plane designed by manufacturer and engine designed by someoneelse
1. Plane was "born" in the late eighties or very early nineties
2. Plane has exchanged ownership at least twice
3. Plane has been used and age is now telling on it
4. Plane struck by tragedy
5. One man went all the way back to "0" to sue somebody, it probably would have made even little sense to sue the owners in "2."
submission: I will be amazed if he got anything out of this!

CareerRe: GTBank Job Or Masters Degree? by WhyAWhy(m): 5:42pm On Jun 05, 2012
hayo: 1. A good MBA program shouldn't be admitting fresh graduates.
2. An MBA degree should have both theoretical and experiential learning. What experience would a fresh graduate bring to the class?
3. Good business schools use case studies. A fresh graduate will struggle to contribute to meaningful discussions that.are based on work experience.

If you finish from physical sciences or engineering degree from a good Nigerian uni, I won't advise you to take any job but get a MSC admission in The US or Canada with the option of going straight for PhD. U won't go wrong with that. Those countries are big on expanding their scientific n Engineering faculties. Apart from those programs, don't waste your time.

The safest way to get an MBA right now is if you are working in a country and can do part time MBA in a good school in that country or even block release in another country whilst still holding down your good job.
My advise for you- take the GTbank job, forget about MBA for now. Get some great skills. Do certifications relevant to where your career is heading. In 4 years, u can even start Manchester biz school block release MBA which takes 3 years. But gain mad skills from now. It will help u.
@Bolded Parts: My thoughts exactly!!!

Even MBA sef is now pure water

EducationRe: Babcock Won't Let My Sis Graduate Despite CGPA Of 4.3 by WhyAWhy(m): 3:03pm On May 29, 2012
Stop Whining, either it adds to cgpa or not, the prerequisite for graduation is to PASS ALL courses. Even in federal universities it's the same. In OAU if you don't pass 6 Electives.. you will NOT graduate! Infact on graduation list, they only list the SPECIAL ELECTIVES you wrote and passed (6 in total at least)
CareerRe: GTBank Job Or Masters Degree? by WhyAWhy(m): 10:14pm On May 26, 2012
isuomo: Young man, please take the GTB offer quick quick and forget the idea of Masters abroad, abeg u fit do am online nowadays and for your information Masters abroad is so overated and my golden advice to you is to take the job. Gosh!!! it is a no brainer and not an hobbsian choice my friend. I have given you this advice as a GM HR & Strategy of a stock exchange quoted top 30 firm here in Nigeria, i know the number of CVs my staff recieve on a daily basis and majority without equivocation are graduates of reputable unis in Canada, USA and UK. I have people in my organisation working for free just to have the work experience and believe me they came out with good Masters from univeristies like London, Manchester, Kings College Cambridge etc. GTB is a fantastic employer and you should be dancing the makossa and not be thinking of Masters.
Oyinbo graduates are not hung up on masters you know, it is us Africans that keep amassing useless qualifications i graduated in Pol.Sc from Ife in 1989 went straight to UK as a citizen at the end of my NYSC IN 1990 and got a job immediately with British Telecomms of old within 3 months of landing in UK, it wasn't until 1997 eight years after graduation when i was already a senior manager with BT on a very comfortable salary did i enrol for a masters in University of London just for the fun of it and by 1999 i had a Masters degree in Developmental Economics. 4 years after in 2003 i enrolled to study Law graduated in 2007 and in 2009 was called to the bar; then i had long left BT was now working in HR for a top Investment bank in Canary Wharf UK from where i was brought to Lagos in 2010. You can see that i did not leave work as some stupid folks do in Nigeria to go do masters and then come back thinking the world will be their oyster. Out there is extremely competitive if you have a job or job offer grab it with both hands.
Well SAID!

don't even understand why anyone will do MBA with no years of job experience, who are these schools that give them admission sef?!!

wow^^^ Can't you see beyond JAMB? How many years down the line? C'mon the poster made many serious points that NUC ought to look into

and FYI, I know people who left federal Universities(OAU where I studied) and went to private universities (Babcock and Covenant).. What have you got to say about those ones.. at least they must have aced jamb to enter oau
Christianity EtcRe: Private Christian Universities: Faith In Deception? by WhyAWhy(m): 6:33pm On May 15, 2012
I am so TIRED of hearing about PRIVATE universities

1. I 100% agree that no University runs on water so everyone shouting that their contributions didn't grant them admission into university should just park well.
2. When these universities started springing up, I actually thought there would be about 2 or 3 extremely formidable private universities that would be ssoooo packed with world-class facilities and funding (not just some make-believe buildings, like CU) that they can attract scholars from around the world and even make Professors in Fed. University turn green with envy. The result of which would be a new generation of people who can tell the government what education should be like. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED ON all FRONTS. There's no single world-class private university in Nigeria.
3. Forcing the gospel down anyone's throat will not make them good individuals when they leave the university. I have met graduates from C.U and if you know what this girls do with men, your eyes would fall out of your socket. So, what point has been made?
4. No Phones? Hello?!! Give me a break. BB is the easiest service from which a student can get access to the internet. With the ton load of information online this days.... whatever anyone now decides to do with such service is their cup of tea. I bet they will restrict their internet GATEWAY to allow only their school website, google(for what now, dem fit search porn), and probably yahoo. I shake my head and laugh in foreign languages
5. I graduated from OAU with so much freedom et al, many individuals have their lives shapened into good alumni you see around.. that's another story jare.. make i stop here

PRIVATE SCHOOL MY BEHIND!!!!
PoliticsRe: Fayemi: Turning Ekiti Into A Huge Construction Site. by WhyAWhy(m): 12:56pm On May 05, 2012
what IGNORANCE, construction of road project is NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT. Only a Mediocre government would make an issue out of that by giving it publicity!!!!
EducationRe: Bishop Oyedepo: New Kings University Under Construction by WhyAWhy(m): 2:50am On Apr 27, 2012
My Opinion
1. University system doesn't run on water you don't expect it to be cheap for everyone
2. I think we have Beautifully adorned buildings in Nigeria and hence call them Universities
3. Having studied abroad and in OAU, I conclude that there is no single WORLD CLASS University in Nigeria.
4. My Submission: Why don't all these stakeholders (building Private Unis all over the place) come together and build a single university, fully funded with state of the art facilities that will attract ground breaking research enough to position Nigeria among the comity of developed Nations. Not until them will Government really understand that Private Unis can excel where they've failed.

On a side Note: No University pays a professor N13 million in Nigeria(at least I know the ones that were in Covenant), maybe the poster wanted to say Vice Chancellor.
SportsRe: I Hate Football, Does That Makes Me Less Of A Man? by WhyAWhy(m): 9:29am On Apr 26, 2012
What's the correlation between FOOTBALL and being More or Less a Man, Are you telling me that only Women walked the earth pre 1000BC?

Anyone that says LOVE of FOOTBALL = A Test for "MANHOOD" needs his brain thoroughly examined, I could bet your I.Q closes in on 15.

If football were not invented, what would you make out of defining your life? mschew.

I love most sports except football, I just lost interest over the years infact, I would most likely doze off while watching a major match.

I could spend hours watching a racing game (Formular One) but would not consider anyone that doesn't watch it less of a man. WHAT THE *F*U*C*K* is wrong with people?!!!
