Politics › Re: Visit To Yar’adua Is Personal –oyedepo by WhyAWhy(m): 1:58pm On Apr 08, 2010 |
amycable: I have not read from any media where it was said that nigerians or the nigerian public delegated certain men of God to visit Ya'adua, confirm his health condition and report back to them. So what is this noise about knowing the outcome of the visits of the men of God if we didnt send them on an errand!
If my husband is sick for instance and I have the faith that if invite a man of God to pray for him, he will recover, what stops me. My concern should be let the men of God oblige, of which he has right to or not to oblige. For God's sake, what is wrong with Turai inviting men of God to pray for her ailing husband if she believes he can be healed through their prayers. my concern is if she has the faith that God can heal. Many people in the Bible called on Jesus to come and heal their loved ones when they were sick both male and female, privately and openly. The news came out as a testimony to the healing power of Jesus. Jesus was not concerned about the state of the illness but was compassionate about their healing. Many other men of God in the Bible also prayed for the sick whether privately or in the open, Elisha, Elijah, Peter, Paul, also did.
Nigerians, when are we going to stop critising men of God? if they were invited to pray for Mr. President and they decline, we would say they are not true disciples of Jesus cos Jesus went about healing all that were sick no matter their religious background. Now, they have gone, we are still not satisfied. How on earth do u expect a man of God after praying for the sick to turn around and start telling u the state of his health, what then did he pray for? We, at Living Faith Church do not anounce bad news, only good news cos the Gospel of Christ which we preach is good news, that is what Christ command us.
I have read all your comments on this issue and for those of u insulting my bishop, i can only say to u "it is well'. May God give u understanding cos that is the only thing I know u lack. Jesus also suffered the same faith in the hands of people like u. But whether u like it or not, your comments do not change anything "God is at work at Living Faith" u better join the winners' family You have made very good sense. I dont know what the problem of people are. Does any pastor have the right to announce whatever is happening to another person without the person's consent. Jesus never did that. |
Family › Re: How Do You Handle Your Wife's Past After Marriage by WhyAWhy(m): 8:03pm On Mar 17, 2010 |
It's really sad. One thing that would be good is if people can be open with themselves to forestall traumatic times like this. It's not about saying past is past it's better to let people know what your life is about and get their mind prepared for it before signing the dotted lines. When a man/woman's heart is fully prepared then honest commitments would be easy to make. It's terribly sad finding out about stuffs like this after marriage. It's true nothing can really be done again but it makes a man/woman wonder what else the partner is hiding. Wipe your SLATES clean before your partner before getting married, it helps to foster trust better. I guess a relationship that could mature into marriage should reach this level of openness. God help us. |
Business › Re: Why Don't We Use Coins In Nigeria? by WhyAWhy(m): 5:28am On Jan 27, 2010 |
When the government was reintroducing coins, she dint consider what goods are services would be a base to absorb such new things that most individuals would not readily accept. In countries like europe, coins were very prevalent in trade because many essential services like paying for parking space, phone calls at phone boots, drink and coffee dispensers use coins. Since this is what people use everyday and the services were there, of course, they had to have coins to use. I was thinking the government was going to adopt a similar approach and provide services in such a way that coins would find a home but lailai, government would just copy and think that every other thing would sort itself out. fadvee: Nigeria pastors are politicians, or how do you describe this! One pastor was fired by one leading G O for remarried after he had divorced his former wife.
The same G O that fired his younger colleague now decided to be the chief officiator at his other colleague who lost his wife in a plane crash few years ago, given his blessing to the new marriage.
My questions is what is the different between half a dozen and six?
Why was he against the pastor in his church and supported his holder colleague?
Nigerians shine you face. Just hear yourself out. You dont even have anything to say. The first was a Divorcee and the Second was a Widower. God clearly hates divorce - Malachi 2: 16. Marriage contract ends at death. That happened in the second case |

@ Flashgeek:
You never seem to get the point. What I am telling you is that the supposed nerve you are trying to put in to everybody will get you no where. If you think you are good enough to make a move, then do it. Why the heck do you need to abuse people who dont. If your ideas are reasonable enough or your plans are good enough, then others can work with you. This same thing has been done on facebook so what you are telling me is not new "light up Nigeria". What's the point of a challenge? Is it not for our country. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO, DO IT!!! |

flashgeek: Abeg make una go siddown ! why are you upset that they are making fun of Us? Are we not the dumbest people on the planet. A country of 150 million people who can not fight off a few hundred politicians.
As long as we remain in NL and exchange grammar without mobilizing our youths to protest then we have no right to complain.
We claim to be the giant of Africa but we have been reduced to ants, we are a useless nation with s.t.u.p.i.d citizens who cannot fight for themselves. Some idiots here are even praying that America should take over Nigeria. Some are even wishing Goodluck should take over as if the whole PDP is not a bunch of thieving bastards.
Look at IRAN and see how they are giving their government headache , their population is smaller than ours but they protest on the streets and CNN is showing it to the whole world putting serious pressure on the Government.
What have Nigerians ever done to liberate themselves except to show off to their neighbourhood and parade silly degrees? Nigerians prefer to come to a forum like this and speak heavy grammar as if that will feed that poor family okokomaiko. It is exactly what the people in government are doing speaking big big grammar with no visible action being taken.
We are not patriotic at all ,we are just a bunch of fools who deserve everything we are suffering now. I am so ashamed to belong to a nation of cowards. Please all of you should shut up and stop complaining, if you are not ready to fight for your freedom don't complain when someone makes fun of it.
Damn you guys piss me off big time.NL is not supposed to be for babies ,this is where we are supposed to plan protests and actually execute them. There are over 400,000 members in NL but have those 400,000 done to protest nothing except to make sly comments and log off.
There are many Nigerians in Diaspora ,why can’t we Nigerians overseas mobilize and protest in whichever country they are? Why can we protest through streets of London,New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, cape town, Frankfurt, Rome, Athens, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Dublin ,Tokyo ,Seoul e.t.c? We come here everyday chatting from our comfort zones expecting a miracle. The bible says God only helps those who helps themselves.
I thought that here i will find men but since i got here only Chapelle S and a few other guys seem to be ready to do something ,the rest of you are just CHICKENS. This is our country we are talking about, how long are we going to sit and watch.I can easily and I mean EASILY mobilize 10,000 Niegrians to march through the streets of South Africa but we have to do it collectively on the same days all over the world. What can you cowards do?
FACT ,if 2/3 of Nigerians protest in the streets all over the world something will happen. If we do not do something Now collectively a civil war will break out in the near future and many lives will be lost. This is a problem we are all in together and the only way we are going to get out of it is through action not through GRAMMAR!
We need to kick out the entire Government including the House of assembly. If we truly want to liberate ourselves we need to get rid of the old political clan and build a new one.The truth hurts ,deal with it ,it is the FXCKING truth, I am not sorry for my comments if the only way Nigerians will wake up to the call of liberation is through insults then so be it. The end justifies the means. You too get mouth. What have you done so far before you come here and insult people? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!! Else you still belong to the same class of people you passed insult on. COOKING POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK. If you need to mobilize people then start it, If you are waiting for people all over the world, then you never ready for anything. I tot I was going to c all this words in your own action, let's c your track records. |

To start with Where did you get your statistics? It's true that we live in a very corrupt society where virtues are no longer exalted like before, but believe me, there are people who are still refusing to fall for the "king's Wine". I am 26 years old and I have never gone down that hole. I guess there are ladies out there still holding on too. So cheer up |

I have been there. It's really hard to say the truth. In my own case, I decided to take BEN JOHNSON. Things like this depends on a lot of factors for example, Does she know that she's older than you. Does she have a personality that can boss you in future? If yes, then run because she's going to drum it into your ears that she's older than you. It works for some, My aunty is 2 years older than my uncle and they're doing fine (I guess). Good luck |

There are people that have slept with 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7, (who knows what the end of the link is),
I dont even know what to say again, Watched a similar story on Oprah
