Because God hate atheists, so atheist are only returning the hatred. |
dimieprincess:You obviously do not understand Niger delta dynamics. This same land grab by the Ijaws is rife all over coastal areas of the Niger delta and even beyond. They are marine normads, a few would come to your village and beg for land to build temporary shelters from where they can easily access areas rich in fish or mangrove trees (Ijaws sell mangrove trees for firewood). Twenty to thirty years down the line the small temporary shelter would have grown to an ijaw village with a population even more than the original owners of the land. Before you know it, they would change the name of the village and install a king. Voila, you have a new Ijaw village or town. You can see this same trend from delta to edo, to ondo and even lagos. ( Langbassa and maijidun in lagos are mainly Ijaw settlements). Even in my village, which is about 45 minutes speed boat ride from Koko, we had these same problem. Ijaws claimed the village and tried changing the name. We were able to get back our lands through the law courts. We were able to present papers going back over 100years, while the Ijaw claimants had none. Intact we were able to prove the ijaws were rent paying tenants on our land. If the itsekiris have all the papers proving ownership of okerenkoko or okerenghigho, they should take the matter to court. |
engineerboat:The first picture looks like a residential estate and nothing like public structures. The second one is a large open hall probably an event or a church hall, the ceiling. I can't see the use of a non tiered hall with very low ceiling in a university. The second and third pictures on shows a structural carcass ( beams and columns) and scaffolding, This single structural carcass in a forest can never equate to a university. |
N13 billion will buy the whole of Banana Island ( land only), so okerekoko land is more expensive than Banana Island. It is quite ironic that the Avengers demand the continuation of the Niger delta University, but at the same time demanding the unfreezing of Tompolo's accounts, which contains up to N9 billion of the money meant for the University. |
Joagbaje:How do you know that she did not get healed by touching Michael Jackson? As you Christians always say, your faith shall make you whole. If she believed she will be healed by Michael Jackson by touching her, she will feel healed when Micheal Jackson lays hands on her. |
pesty100:Christianity (and Islam too) is just advanced psychological manipulation. The men of God build a cult aura around himself and project that aura into the minds of his believers. Believers therefore feels overwhelmed by the presence and actions of the men of god and lose their mind (fall under anointing) when under their influence. It is not only pastors that make people fall under anointing, superstars that has cult following also make people faint, cry and lose control of their senses. During Michael concerts, hundreds if women fall under anointing. Watch this woman lose control after being touched and kiss by Michael Jackson. https://youtube.com/watch?v=aUqyieOUeQk |
Heaven seems like a time capsule frozen in first century Palestine and Greece. All the Characters, Icons and Technologies and even fashion are stuck in that time and place. See what heaven looks like according to the scriptures;

kinibigdeal:See juveniles talking about dad. My children reason far more maturity than you. Why not show some level of intelligence by disputing any of the points raised. |
worlexy:What are you saying? Jonathan did far worse than Fasola. When Jonathan took over Government in late 2009, Nigeria's external debt was just about $4 billion with a foreign reserve of $47.7 billion ( Yaradua actually grew the reserves to $63 billion in september 2008 before he started having health problems). When Jonathan was leaving on May 2015, Nigeria's external debt stood at about $10 billion and our foreign reserves stood at $28.6, all these at a time crude was selling for $100. |
kinibigdeal:Which 5000MW did Jonathan leave? Instead you should be saying that GEJ lost 5000MW or more (depending on if you are using installed capacity or generating capacity) as Jonathan sold off all of Nigeria's power stations at ridiculously low prices to friends and cronies. How was Nigeria's attaining the highest GPD in Africa an achievement of Jonathan? Is it jonathan that fixed crude prices at an average of $100 pe barrel for over 4 years or he is the one that birthed the whole of Nigeria's estimated 180 million population. Due to our High population, Nigeria's GDP will always be among on of the highest in Africa. 30 billion foreign reserve? How much foreign reserve did he meet and how much foreign reserve should he have left, after 4 years of selling oil at an average of $100 for 4 years? Jonathan had the worst foreign reserve difference (foreign reserve when taking over government minus foreign reserve when leaving) of any president in the history of Nigeria. In January 2015, Nigeria's foreign reserve was $34.49 billion but by the time Jonathan was leaving in May the foreign reserve had reduced drastically to $29.17 A difference of almost $4.5 billion. If Jonathan was still president, it is certain we would not have had $1 left in our reserves. I am adding a graph to show that Jonathan squandered our foreign reserves apart from our crude earning (despite record crude prices and production) during his reign.

Can Fayose's hero worshippers please explain the contradictions in these Fayose's speeches; “Today, the Peoples Democratic Party is no longer in government so they should stop blaming the PDP" - Ayo Fayose “The APC should close their face in shame, how can you rule for four years and you destroy a state, you destroy the whole economy of that state for 20 years?” - Ayo Fayose |
Scholes007:Then a Fulani man can become governor of Anambra state. |
I am surprised. I thought IPOB youths told us only parasites - Amala eaters and Kunu drinkers that would starve as a result of economic sabotage by The Avengers. Is Governor Ikpeazu telling us he cannot run Abia State without free oil money from the Nigerdelta? |
NavierStokes:I am tired of trying to educate children without basic economic knowledge. I provided proof that oil revenue last year (when crude prices were still relatively high) was just 11% of GDP. I showed you that in this years budget, oil revenue is less than 20% of total revenue. I also showed you that almost all government revenues in Nigeria is spent on servicing less than 15 million civil servants and politicians and that ordinary masses do not feel the effect of government revenue and you are here talking about forex, capital controls, disposable income budget projections etc? Are you aware that during Abacha regime crude prices hardly went beyond $12 per barrel, at one point it was $8. Did the Nigerian economy collapse, despite international sanctions and massive looting by Abacha and his cronies? The are two major problems that affect Nigeria; that is problem of electricity and petrol. The importation of petroleum products account for close to half of our foreign imports and hence the value of the naira against the dollar. Refine petrol in Nigeria and the exchange rate would reduce by half. Secondly, complete mambila hydro dam (which will add up to 3,500 MW into our grid) and coal power plants in the east, and demand for petrol, diesel and kerosene would reduce drastically. What do you mean expose banking sector? Banking in Nigeria is simply scam. They simply collect government money and play around with it. They borrow back the money to Government at 10 - 14% in the guise of buying government bonds and use the rest to engage in forex round tripping ( buying forex from government at official rates and selling to public at black market prices). They engage in very little proper banking activities. At the end of the year they declare billions of Naira profit. They even scam the general public by deducting money from their accounts without justification. (imagine they deduct interest from my wife's savings account account monthly instead of paying interest) Then ask yourself, How many Nigerians use banks? According to a 2015 world bank survey, less than 25% of Nigerians own bank accounts; The Biometric Verification Number (BVN) enrolment revealed that there are about 25 million Nigerians with bank accounts. But statistics from the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC) shows that there are about 148 million mobile phone subscribers. This indicates that over between 90 million to 100 million Nigerians with mobile phones don’t have bank accounts and also do not have access to financial services. The problem with you guys is that you stay in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcout or other capital cities and feels Nigeria begins and ends with your environment. You are oblivious of the fact that many more Nigerians feel no government impact at all in their lives; no electricity, no bank, no internet, not even tv. |
SleekAboki:You still do not get it, how many sectors gain from government revenues? A break down of government revenues down the years shows a recurrent expenditure ( salaries, allowances and pecks of civil servants and politicians) of over 70%, while capital expenditure ( amount that should be spent on the rest of us) is usually less than 30% ( and the capital is never fully implemented). How many civil servants are there in our population of over 180 million? Does the Igbo trader at aba or the tomoto farmer in jos or even the akara seller in Lagos receive any government money or services? The reduction of government revenue will have drastic effects on less than 25% of the population. |
SleekAboki:You are very wrong, it is only illiterates that think blowing of pipelines would completely collapse the Nigerian economy. Yes, the Nigerian economy would be significantly affected but never destroyed. I can tell you that only government revenue (and corruption) that would be most affected as government receives up to 70% of its revenue from oil, the ordinary masses feel no effect of crude oil. Apart from the nigerdelta, how many people feed from the oil industry in Nigeria? Take a look at our GDP figures, the oil industry account for only about 11% of GDP. Services contribute up to 50%, while agriculture contributes about 23% Nigeria is one of the most developed countries in Africa. Services is the largest sector of the economy, accounting for about 50 percent of total GDP. One of the fastest growing segments in Services are Information and Communication, which together account for about 10 percent of the total output. Agriculture, which in the past was the biggest sector, now weights around 23 percent. Crude Petroleum and Natural Gas constitute only 11 percent of total GDP, while being the main exports. Industry and Construction account for the remaining 16 percent of GDP.Even in terms of government revenue, this years budget is expected to be funded mainly from non oil revenues, less than 20% was expected to be from oil and gas. Giving a breakdown, Udoma said that N1.45 trillion of the 2016 budget would be financed from non-oil revenues, N1.51 trillion from independent revenues, only N820 billion from crude oil receipts, while the balance would be funded from government borrowings. So how will a loss of N820 billion out of a N6.08 trillion ( that is even if The Avengers are able to reduce oil revenues to 0) turn the economy to used tissue paper? |
SleekAboki:Dialogue with who, criminals? Criminals will always be criminals. These same criminals made the same demands when yar adua was president, they were generally settled. Their foot soldiers were given N65,000 every month for over 5 years, while their leaders were settled with billions of dollars in cash and pipeline contracts), tompolo was even handed over NIMASA and Nigerian maritime waters. Now, that Buhari has defeated Jonathan and has threatened to stop the free largesse and prosecute people who stole federal funds including militants, it is then the militants remembered that the nigerdelta is being unfairly treated and making demands. The government must never and I emphasize, never negotiate with terrorists, no matter their demands , legitimate or not. Once a government shows weakness in dealing with terrorists, that is the beginning of the end of that government, if not the country itself. The drawback of the present Democratic experiment is that it seems the politicians had deliberately weakened our military while strengthening local militias. Under the military regime a local militia dare not challenge the federal goverment, even Cameroon could not dare Nigeria under the military. Under the military we were able to prosecute two foreign wars successfully, simultaneously. But under our so called democracy, we could not defeat local militias and always begging to negotiate. |
These militants are cowards, if they are so confident if their military prowess as showed by their weapons parade, why don't they venture into bakassi and dare ordinary Cameroonian gendarmes( I am not even talking of the military), they will be annihilated within days. They can only threatened Nigerian government because sentiments would not allow the government to deal with them. The greatest mistake Nigeria made was the so called "amnesty program " which basically was paying militants to keep the peace. It was like the militants blackmailed the federal government to continue paying out ransom to stop blowing pipelines , once the ransom stops, the criminals resumes their criminal activities. Another mistake Nigeria made was to make Jonathan a militant sympathizer president. He empowered the militants so much with monetary and political power that the militants weild so much power in the Niger delta. So much so that the militants were able to amass huge weapons stocks including war ships and maybe missiles. If the present government is not able to neutralize these militant groups, the nigerdelta would become a mini Somalia where warlords control different areas. |
One question I would like avengers and its supporters to answer is; Which region will suffer the most if oil exports becomes zero? Remember, Lagos survived for over 3 years when obasanjo withheld its local government allocations. Can the nigerdelta and south east survive without allocations from Abuja? Can warri, yenagua and Port Harcourt survive without the oil industry apart from oil allocations. |
ZombieNation:You juveniles, instead of you to improve yourselves to add more value to your lives, you spend all your time dabbling in what you have no idea about or even concern you. 90% of the people here shouting "our oil" or 100% resource control have never seen a drop of raw crude in their lives or an oil slick. 100% resource control is not possible for any mineral resource community in the world. Even with countries, you can only achieve 100% resource control if you possess the military and technological might. As it is, foreign countries through their multinationals own and control up to 50% of our oil resources. Even Saudi Arabia does not have control of 100% of its oil resources. If the government should actually hands off control and defense of our on shore and offshore oil fields, the nigerdelta tribes would not be able to defends it against oil hungry countries like the US and France ( through their proxy - Cameroon). Also the fight for between the various tribes for ownwership of the oil fields would be bloody and viscous ( remember the on going crisis over the ownership of Ibaji oil field between kogi, anambra and Enugu). What we in the nigerdelta have never screamed 100% resource control like our Igbo neighbours, we understand its impracticability, what we are demanding is 50% derivation, standard drilling and exploration practices that don't destroy our environment, as is done in other climes, fair and equitable allocation of oil fields ( not like it is presently skewed in favour of the north) and a better corporate responsibility from the oil companies to the communities. |
OP, you need to stop taking panadol for another mans headache, lagosians are not complaining so why are you restless over the issue. I wish you could have as much passion for the actions of your state governor, I am sure your state would have been better than what it is today. I prefer growing food crops to cash crops. I believe that was mistake awo made after independence, he promoted cash crops to the detriment of food crops, thereby making us perpetual slaves to foreign countries. You cannot eat cocoa and we hardly eat chocolate and other cocoa products. What is the sense in selling cocoa to oyimbo countries at cheap prices and then using the money to import rice and other foods we need to feed ourselves at expensive prices? Why can't we grow the rice here and feed ourselves instead of relying on others to fed us? You that is talking, which ones are you growing? Or you will perpetually depend on others to feed you? |
Horus:You only showed us pictures of the militants after the threats but i will show you pictures of the actual missiles. Below is the pictures of the actual 6 missiles that Niger delta militants intend to use to destroy aso rock and then10 other locations
|
THE Niger Delta Militant group, the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force, on Monday reiterated its decision to unleash six missiles on the country.Just six missiles to destroy all those targets? One missile must be capable of bombing one target and then fly off to bomb another target. |
rexbuton:Telling a religious Jewish man that you can give his God money or material things like gold and silver is tantamount to blasphemy. All instances of tithes in the old testament refers to agricultural products which is kept in the temple store for feeding of the priests and congregation. The only instance where tithes was allowed to be converted to cash was where the distance from the temple is too far, the tither was allowed to sell the tithe and use the Money to eat and drink. No where in all your examples did it state that money or anything was given to God, or that God collected anything from anybody. You just quote verses and try and bend the meaning to suit your tithe doctrine. For example, prov 3,9 9. Honor the Lord with your possessions,Where in these verses did it say you are giving money or material things to God. The verses was obviously referring to grapes that is used for making wines and probably wheat and other fruits. Honour the lord is not the same thing as giving to God. Now look at verses 13 and 14 of the same proverbs; 13. Happy is the man who finds wisdom,Does this signify that you can give god money, cars, houses and other material things? |
plaetton:My brother, the fight against corruption can never be won, unless we take the fight to the churches. The churches are actively promoting and encouraging corruption due to the greed of the so called men of god. A person with no known source of income, a person earning less than N100,000 a month or a political office holder donates N2,000,000, and the pastor brings out the person for a special blessing without questioning the source of the money. What message does that pass to others? These churches are simply saying make money whichever way you can and the more the amount of money you can give to the church, the more you are blessed. That means there is no hope of salvation for the poor that are unable to give. I believe, a law should be made for religious donations and for donations in general like the money laundering law that applies to bank, any donation more than N100,000 should be reported to the EFCC. EFCC should then the required to question the donor on the source of the donation and his/her source of income including tax receipts. Failure to disclose source of income should be liable to a money laundering charge, which should attract a 5 - 10year jail term and forfeiture of the undeclared money and properties found in possession of the accused. |
rexbuton:Stop making yourself feel important; you cannot give anything to God. , you are only enriching men of god. Like i always say, when it rains, it falls on saints and sinners. Whether you dash your pastor all your money or not, you will succeed or fail according to complex interactions of economics, opportunity and luck. In the list of 20 richest men in the world, you will find Christians, Muslims, Atheists, etc. Also when a plane crashes or a building collapses, Christians are never spared from disaster that befall others. |
BUHARIISCURSED:Recession is the best condition for exploitation. A desperate person is easy to exploit. A person suffering poverty, poor healthy or depression would readily do anything to alleviate his situation. This is why there is a direct correlation between the poverty index and religious fundamentalism in a country. The explosion of prosperity Christianity started after the SAP misadventure of the middle 80s. |
anonimi:Yes, i mean exacerbate. I hardly proof read before i post. |
alt3r3g0:Because we were infected with the "Dutch Disease" in the early 70's and have not taken the right medication for a cure. Dutch diseaseBelieve me resource control is not the antidote to the dutch disease, in fact it will exacerbate it. |
jaylister:The reasoning of 5 year old. So the pollution of the water and environment will not kill their people? Or the destruction of the economy will not kill their people. If the economy collapses, the Niger delta will be affected most. It would have relatively less impact on Lagos and the South West. Also it would have little impact on the common northerner. Only the politicians and their cronies would feel an economic collapse. the northern commoners are mainly farmers and artisans and receives little or no oil money. But the only industry in the Niger delta is oil. Outside the oil industry, the only other industry is the civil service, which largely depends on the monthly oil allocations. Once the oil allocations stops and oil companies close down, million of people will die of hunger. |
obiremy:Fayose should shut up and concentrate on governing his state. Although the reasons for Buhari's cancellation of the trip was not stated (buhari had also cancelled 2 other previous state visits) but if Buhari had attended and as much as a banger was heard near the president, do you know the number of people that would be killed? If people were killed as a result of the military protecting Buhari, the same Fayose would come out and shout "Genocide", he would never blame Avengers for instigating violence. |
As long as Oby Ezekwesili, Atiku and all those people in the pictures holding the book agree that they are Biafrans, then ba problem. |
